Is this sushi good? Yeah it's not bad. Is it authentic? Definitely not but still enjoyable. The price wasn't that bad for the amount of food you get. Was super full just after a few pieces. The sushi wasn't really what I was expecting but the closest decent sushi place. Have to add an extra star because they give out free miso if you ask; which a lot of places don't do anymore.

The sauce, it's all about the sauce. Get there early to get a seat or be prepared to wait a couple minutes. The sushi artists are talented and get the orders out quickly. The wait will be on the customers side. The valley has limited establishments such as this, so expect a little bit of a wait. Add to it the small dining area (3 booths, 2 tables and the bar) it fills up quickly. The review is for those who are not from the area as those who live her know about it.

Excellent sushi .. Owner is very friendly & knowledgeable. Small place , so there can be a bit of a wait . Completely worth it though. Lovely selection of Sake ...

The food is delicious, the wait is unacceptable. You have too many tables, and too few employees. Be prepared to sit for HOURS!!!

This place is my favorite sushi place in Idaho. It's outstanding. Their fish is fresh and they have unique and creative food items.

My wife and I have visited the Lewiston/Clarkston area many times over the years. Unfortunately,…read morewe have never had the pleasure of dining at Zany's in Lewiston until February 20, 2026, when we hosted 13 family and friends and a very well-behaved baby. Firstly, the atmosphere inside is astounding. Every seat offers an interesting view, a fascinating collection of art, artifacts, vintage photographs, fossils, Idaho/Washington memorabilia and material culture including a vintage toy train that is elevated above part of the dining room, tracks and all. This is a cool place! This establishment has a sense of community, it's not a hidden gem to the people of Lewiston/Clarkston but a local institution, an iconic eatery, a culinary hot spot. The menu offers a gastronomic journey around the world. The sushi was on par with the best sushi anywhere. The California Roll was pure artistry, a delicate balance of flavors, clean tastes, high quality ingredients expertly prepared in a show kitchen in the center of the dining room. The Street Tacos, both fish and carnitas, Fajitas, Tempura Salmon Rolls, Shrimp Ceviche, and Crab Rangoon were a testament to the talent of the culinary team, they looked as appealing as they tasted. I had the Prime Rib, a generous portion cooked perfectly, and it literally melted in my mouth. One of the kids ordered chicken fillets and I expected the run of the mill frozen fillets that you can get anywhere, not at Zany's, they create them in house with fresh chicken, crispy batter and refreshing homemade ranch dip. Don't miss the signature Chicken Tortilla Soup and save room for a selection from their decadent dessert selection. Your visit will reveal why they are an Idaho legend. The service was impeccable. I wished I could recall the names of the servers, bartenders and others: they were attentive, knowledgeable and friendly who anticipated our needs without being obtrusive. Our large group received our appetizers and then our entrees with perfect timing, smooth and seamless, a blend of efficiency, professionalism, and genuine warm hospitality. Our Lewiston friends proudly proclaimed that the food and service are consistently excellent at Zany's, and they always prefer to entertain their out-of-town guests with visit to Zany's. We highly recommend Zany's. Dining here was a delightful experience from start to finish. The ambiance, professionalism, cleanliness, eclectic menu offerings, attention to detail were remarkable and the prices for food and service of this caliber are a rare bargain. We can hardly wait to return on our next visit to Lewiston. Thank you! Keep up the good work! Michael & Sherri Hayes Kalispell, Montana

I'm from California, so some things in Washington and Idaho are new to me. Like for instance, our server handing us water bottles instead of cups of water. Turns out I guess Moscow is known for having issues with water. Our miso soup had no additives. No tofu, or seaweed. Just broth. Our sushi chef also forgot one of my rolls, and forgot to give my aunt her yakisoba, so we had to ask for them. There was only one other table of 2 seated while we were dining, so I can't even blame a busy dining room as the reason why the staff was flustered. On the plus side, our server did bring my baby cousin a tiny serving of miso soup, so my aunt didn't "have" to share hers, and brought a spoon for the baby, so that was a nice touch. All in all, this tourist definitely will not be eating here again.

We asked for the fried one not to be fried. The Philly wasn't great so we didn't eat that one but that's just because of the Smokey flavor. I love that they brought it all out on a sushi boat! Great service. I'd come again for sure.

They have a fairly large selection on food and they are typically more stocked than the Lewiston location. My only complaint is that everyone who works in the deli seems to absolutely hate their jobs. I feel like such an inconvenience ever asking for something from the deli because of it. However, the men at the meat counter will bend over backwards to get you any help you need. I needed cube steak but they were out on the shelves. Within 15 minutes they made me some and I didn't even have to ask. Compared to the Lewiston location, the staff seem so much more happy (besides the deli) and they're so much more welcoming. The store is also cleaner, you guys are the best!

On this visit, I ordered the Nabeyaki Udon, which is one of my favorite dishes. I quite enjoyed it. The broth was good, the noodle delicious, and the soup packed with veggies. I also ordered the edamame. I always order edamame when I can because I love it so much and never have it outside of restaurants. This particular edamame was good--a little lacking on spice for my particular taste but still hit the spot and filled my craving for edamame. Accessibility: This restaurant is generally accessible. The seating is a mix between booths and tables. The chairs do not have arms. There are a couple of accessible parking spots, but they are limited. The lighting is decent here and should be okay. Noise is not really an issue. I have never experienced crowds though I never go during the busiest times. I cannot remember if they have accessible washrooms. The rest of the food took about 35-40 minutes to come out when there was literally no one there. Also, the food we ordered was simple to get out in a fairly timely manner (Club sandwich, bruschetta, Mac and cheese, and Caesar salad). The menu is weirdly specific in some instances and not specific at all in others. Ex: wings come in mild, buffalo, and spicy, but one would assume the buffalo is a sauce but the mild was a dry rub (would be nice to know but not stated). Ex: Caesar is $14 and you can add "grilled" chicken, shrimp, or salmon for an extra $5 (in the case of chicken). My "grilled" chicken came out in cold chunks that looked like they had been rebought and kept cold then just dumped in the salad. When u order an entree salad and they say "grilled" chicken one would assume it's been freshly grilled for dinner, not just a salad that I could get in the deli aisle at a supermarket. Just an overall weird dinner for the price we paid. Service was friendly enough but sparse. Food tasted decent enough but when going out to eat I'd like to pay for more attention to the food than what I could put together with what I bought on my Costco run. Maple Manhattan was a solid drink though. Overall, not a 1 bc the taste was ok, but the rest was super underwhelming for what else is available in Pullman. Probably won't be back.
