I've been lookin' at their secret menu online for a few years, and had my eye on a few traditional menu items, but alot of things were unavailable when we went on a Sunday. coming from someone who has had a lot of asian food both across the country and internationally, i think this is one of, if not the best restaurant in pullman for a variety of chinese food and definitely the best place for pho. the authentic dishes here are really good. usually not busy when i've gone, but i definitely recommend dishes such as pho, beef hotpot, and beef stew noodle soup. spice levels are customizable and flavors are good. i think the ingredients vary a bit, but nothing that detracts from my experience thus far. it seems like the authentic chinese menu dishes are a lot better than the other items on the menu judging from the other reviews so i would highly recommend trying things from that menu. the staff is always friendly and it seems like a family owned restaurant. cozy interior -- i find myself coming here for comfort food. highly recommend coming here! read more

If this is supposedly the "Best Teriyaki In Pullman", then Pullman is in trouble. The sticky rice was anything but sticky. It was wet, almost runny, and bland. The chicken was dense, chewy, flavorless, and barely cut. I've never, before this, needed a knife to eat chicken teriyaki. The salad dressing was plain ranch dressing, rather than the usual sweet dressing most teriyaki places use. The only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because the guy behind the counter was friendly enough, and the service was fairly speedy. Nevertheless, I will not be going back. read more

Food was good and service was helpful and prompt. They have a pretty big menu with lots of options, including typical Chinese fare, teriyaki, pho, and more. I would call this a pretty typical Chinese restaurant. Nothing was super amazing, but everything was good. The Egg Rolls have a wrapper that seems more like that normally used for won tons, which actually was great because they were more crispy and flavorful. The Egg Flower Soup was exactly as I remembered it (I haven't ordered it in so long!). The Chicken Pho was very good. The Kung Pao Chicken was flavorful and spicy. I asked for medium spice, and I would say it was a little beyond that. So if you don't like spicy food you might steer clear from the menu items marked as spicy. The service was friendly, helpful, and prompt. I would certainly go back anytime I was in the mood for Chinese food. read more

I hate to give bad reviews but ... we ordered food for delivery and not only was it delivered late, but the food was bad. We ordered a family dinner with sweet sour pork, almond chicken, and peas with beef. Sweet sour sauce had a dish soap after taste. We received a container of deep fried chicken chunks and a separate container of a thick white tasteless gravy. Was this supposed to be the almond chicken? The beef in the peas/beef dish was inedible gristle. The "fried" rice was plain white rice with a sprinkling of pork slivers on the top. We placed our order at 6:30 pm, and it was confirmed for delivery by 8 pm. We received the food at 8:45 pm. To top off our negative experience, the fortune cookies were rancid - as in spit-them-out disgusting. Will not be ordering from this restaurant again, and not impressed with delivery.com. read more

We ate here tonight & our service was friendly, fast, and service starts with complimentary hot tea! There are definitely a lot of Chinese restaurants in Pullman, but that really added to the experience here. I also noticed that a lot of foreign students eat here, which must be a good sign. While they don't quite compare to Chinese restaurants in larger cities, I give Golden Teriyaki high praise for having so many foods that remind me of my childhood in a Vietnamese/Chinese household. Definitely ask for the authentic Chinese menu if they don't automatically give it to you. Pho is delicious, as well as the eggplant hot pot. They had ample vegan options for me, and knew how to accommodate for my partner's celiac disease. This is probably as close to authentic Chinese food as it gets in the Palouse region, and that's not saying a much. They are located at the foothills of campus with a parking lot in front. The inside is cleaner than the other Chinese establishments I visited but not much better than your McDonalds or Chipotle. In terms of food, they have two menus, one for the American palette and one for Chinese. I ordered three dishes from the Chinese menu: eggplant with garlic sauce, stewed fish, and a noodle dish. A friend and I stopped in for dinner one night. I had never been, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm glad we did! The restaurant seems small from the outside, but there is plenty of seating. The restaurant also has a lot of people picking up orders to go. The time we were there, it seemed like there were as many to go orders and customers eating at the restaurant. So you know this is popular with locals. The menu is pretty large with options for combo plates. Our orders were taken pretty quickly and our waitress answered questions about the menu. I started with a hot and sour soup. It was so good! It has the right amount of heat and it was savory. I haven't found another restaurant in the area that makes this soup this good. I ordered a combo meal, almond chicken, chow mein and egg roll. The almond chicken was good; similar to what you'd find other local places, but the chow mein and egg roll were my favorite parts of the meal. The egg roll was perfectly fried and my chow mein had a good balance of sprouts, onion and celery. For good food, good prices and quick service I recommend this place! I will be back. read more

ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place! I've tried many dishes from here and I love it every time. You must try the black pepper beef. It's my personal favorite. Golden Teriyaki makes their food more towards the authentic chinese side rather than the americanized chinese food which tends to me more greasy and more sauce. Food is clean and flavorful. Only thing I would recommend is if you are ordering the gyoza, get it well done. This last time we ordered, the broccoli was underdone, the Almond Chicken and the SS Prawns were very hard - like the batter had something wrong with it resulting in a very crunchy (more than you would want) texture with an "off" taste. Pork also didn't taste quite right. Feel like the quality has gone down while the prices have gone up. Hope they turn things around. read more

Great for vegetarian and vegans!! We came here and the wonderfully nice server said we could make anything vegetarian. So my mom asked for eggplant and tofu in black bean sauce (two menu items put together with tofu instead of meat). It's wonderful to have a place that's willing to make anything you ask for. The server also offered us the Chinese menu (it has English on it) those dishes seemed a bit less Americanized. I had the sweet and sour chicken and vegetarian chow mien. Everything was great. The rest of the menu has a mix of Hawaiian BBQ (chicken katsu) and Chinese-American food. I definitely enjoyed my experience--but I don't mind Americanized Chinese food at all! We finally tried something besides teriyaki. I was craving Chinese food yesterday, so we called in an order for the house chow mein and the hot and spicy chicken. It was so delicious that we actually called in for dinner again tonight. We ordered the house chow mein and the Mongolian beef. It was incredible. Their chow mein is easily the best that I have had and the Mongolian beef was so flavorful. Honestly, everything is incredibly flavorful and fresh. I graduated in 09 and during my tenure at WSU the pre-yelp days I always looked forward to scrounging up 10 bucks to get a really solid meal with leftovers for the next day. My go to was the beef and broccoli or sweet and sour pork, and always loved it. Fast forward to today, my food standards have definitely changed and I am willing to spend significantly more on a decent meal but after taking my girlfriend to Pullman and enduring a bender at the bars we dragged our (hungover) butts here after I talked the place up the whole car ride to Pullman and had the wonton soup and beef and broccoli, not only is exactly as I remember it but it's just as good as the "higher end" Chinese places I have been throughout my travels and my girlfriend, whom is quite critical of her food, loved it as well! Great food and fast service. I had sesame chicken and "three treasures of the sea" and both were great. The portions are fairly large, and entrees come with lots of steamed rice. They don't have great air conditioning, but I imagine it's not usually that much of an issue. read more

Our go to Pullman Chinese (of many). This is not a very authentic Chinese restaurant off the menu. It is Americanized Chinese, but I love it. I am a huge fan of the Mongolian beef, and the Hunan Chicken. The kids love the house special chow meun and my wife is a fan of the hot and sour soup. The lunch combo includes white or fried rice or you can sub it for noodles. All of pretty good and it is alot of food for the $9ish price. I like that you can order the lunch specials even at night and they will just bring you a smaller portion than the dinner. We often get 2 or 3 lunch specials at dinner and eat family style. There are a lot of foreign exchange students that way here. They do not eat off of the menu, but generally I take that as a good sign. read more

I love Golden Teriyaki. They have got their teriyaki ribs on LOCK! And I know that fried rice is a really simple dish, but I love the way that they make there's so much. Whenever I go, I always order a half order of their amazing, plump & juicy potstickers and a half order of their cream cheese won tons to go with my meal (I can never finish it all, of course, so that's leftovers for days). Walking in is so delightful because you're always greeted with a nice smile and a great "Welcome!" You're normally seated right away, which is so nice. You're always given a pot of hot tea and after ordering your food, it comes out right away. I can't say better things aout the service because in Pullman, they are as good as amazing gets! I'm definitely not a fan of their almond chicken just because they put so much of it all over my chicken. Maybe order it so that the sauce is on the side?
