Parking: there is parking available at this restaurant Ambiance: the place looks a little outdated but that's what gives this place a good nostalgic feel so I love the decor. It's pretty quiet in here and not many guests Food: Food was a 10/10 so tasty! And well made. The chef special fish had a perfect amount of batter. The veggie mix was well seasoned too Server: there was one man who seemed to be doing it all (taking orders, serving the food, taking the check) which made me sad. He was super sweet and gentle. 100+ points for him.

Beef Stew Noodle Soup

coming from someone who has had a lot of asian food both across the country and internationally, i think this is one of, if not the best restaurant in pullman for a variety of chinese food and definitely the best place for pho. the authentic dishes here are really good. usually not busy when i've gone, but i definitely recommend dishes such as pho, beef hotpot, and beef stew noodle soup. spice levels are customizable and flavors are good. i think the ingredients vary a bit, but nothing that detracts from my experience thus far. it seems like the authentic chinese menu dishes are a lot better than the other items on the menu judging from the other reviews so i would highly recommend trying things from that menu. the staff is always friendly and it seems like a family owned restaurant. cozy interior -- i find myself coming here for comfort food. highly recommend coming here!

Egg Flower Soup

Food was good and service was helpful and prompt. They have a pretty big menu with lots of options, including typical Chinese fare, teriyaki, pho, and more. I would call this a pretty typical Chinese restaurant. Nothing was super amazing, but everything was good. The Egg Rolls have a wrapper that seems more like that normally used for won tons, which actually was great because they were more crispy and flavorful. The Egg Flower Soup was exactly as I remembered it (I haven't ordered it in so long!). The Chicken Pho was very good. The Kung Pao Chicken was flavorful and spicy. I asked for medium spice, and I would say it was a little beyond that. So if you don't like spicy food you might steer clear from the menu items marked as spicy. The service was friendly, helpful, and prompt. I would certainly go back anytime I was in the mood for Chinese food.

Chicken schezuan, mongolian beef, veggie egg rolls

Delicious beef hot pot with tofu and bok choy, beef hot pot noodle soup, mongolian beef, veggie egg rolls, chicken katsu, schzuan chicken, pork fried rice, and more. Love how take home is always yummy. Looking forward to when it is completely safe to return to in person dining because hot jasmine tea with meals are delicious. Love this family owned and run business.

Combination Meal #4, White Rice, Hot and Spicy Chicken, and Szechuan Chicken!

We ate here tonight & our service was friendly, fast, and service starts with complimentary hot tea! There are definitely a lot of Chinese restaurants in Pullman, but that really added to the experience here. I also noticed that a lot of foreign students eat here, which must be a good sign. Our food was hot and delicious, and prices were reasonable. We'll definitely be back!!

This is probably as close to authentic Chinese food as it gets in the Palouse region, and that's not saying a much. They are located at the foothills of campus with a parking lot in front. The inside is cleaner than the other Chinese establishments I visited but not much better than your McDonalds or Chipotle. In terms of food, they have two menus, one for the American palette and one for Chinese. I ordered three dishes from the Chinese menu: eggplant with garlic sauce, stewed fish, and a noodle dish. They came out after about 15 minutes and tasted quite good. Of course, one cannot have high expectations in such a small city but for $17, one gets decent Chinese food from here.

Lamb pot-A must order if you are looking for authentic Chinese food!

They have separate menus for Americans and chinese. Lamb pot on the chinese menu is a must if you want to have authentic chinese food. I order it every time we go there. Great service.

Came in tonight with my aunt and uncle, after they told me this place was amazing…read more Well, sadly it seems it has gone downhill since they were last here. I'm from California, so some things in Washington and Idaho are new to me. Like for instance, our server handing us water bottles instead of cups of water. Turns out I guess Moscow is known for having issues with water. Our miso soup had no additives. No tofu, or seaweed. Just broth. Our sushi chef also forgot one of my rolls, and forgot to give my aunt her yakisoba, so we had to ask for them. There was only one other table of 2 seated while we were dining, so I can't even blame a busy dining room as the reason why the staff was flustered. On the plus side, our server did bring my baby cousin a tiny serving of miso soup, so my aunt didn't "have" to share hers, and brought a spoon for the baby, so that was a nice touch. All in all, this tourist definitely will not be eating here again.

I am shocked by all the crappy reviews here because everything was really good. Now, they were out…read moreof chicken katsu and udon soup but we got plenty of chicken teriyaki and I got the ex girlfriend or something roll - and the playful roll and they were delish. We asked for the fried one not to be fried. The Philly wasn't great so we didn't eat that one but that's just because of the Smokey flavor. I love that they brought it all out on a sushi boat! Great service. I'd come again for sure.

This 'sports bar' fronts as an Italian restaurant and can use some work on their customer service…read more When seating guests, they don't ask whether you're there to watch sports, but after we were seated as a group for a family dinner, my auntie asked if they could turn down the obnoxious televisions and they said no, that guests were there to watch the game. We indicated that we were not, and would like to be moved. She left to check (?) only to return to advise that the televisions were all on the same remote. Others in the party dismissed it as an issue and decided to order. Management needs to take note and train hosts to ask which environment is preferred. There are too many neurodivergent people who can't handle the chaos, yet want to enjoy a nice meal. End rant. Meals were good all around, though my breaded steak bites were very salty and the au jus only added to my sodium intake. Great portions and flavor. Fresh herbs grown in a planter outside the front door. I'd gladly give 4 stars were it not for the noise and lack of consideration.

This is a one and done visit…read more I was in the area for work. And Tomato Bros was one of the spots that was actually open on a Monday, I decided to check it out. As a solo diner, I opted to sit at the bar. Service was just ok, they weren't really attentive, which was surprising since I was at the bar... But the food was not one to write about. First I was served the house bread with garlic butter - which was the best thing I had. For my entree, I ordered the Braised beef Pappardelle which comes with a house salad. I can only say I'm glad I filled up on the bread, as I was served an entree with burnt onions and mushrooms. I had to pick at the meal to make sure I didn't get any burnt items. I will say, I did not mention this to the staff, at this point I didn't think it was necessary as there was enough to feed 2 people. Anyway, I don't think I will return when I'm in the area...

I went during Bingo at timber. I ordered it around 7 pm and it was ready after 15 minutes…read more I got the tempura shrimp roll which was $10. It wasn't too bad of a price, but it is on the smaller size. I enjoyed the crunchy topping it came with. Only thing is I wish the employees were more nice. I asked for the menu and he just pointed to a QR code without saying anything. When picking up the sushi I said thank you and I had no response.

Love that Pullman has new sushi and bubble tea options!…read more Mang's and Bobacha share a stand in Lumberyard. When I stopped by there was only one person working (the owner??), he handled everything, and it was on the same bill so they're... separate but not really. I don't visit Lumberyard often but love that they have a variety of food options so everyone can get something different. It's also typically easy to order from multiple stands on one delivery order. I haven't tried it with Mang's yet but it's worked for other businesses they've had in there. Apparently the building is also a dance club at night! I ended up deciding to try the pressed sushi (salmon and tuna) and the milk tea. The fish and toppings on the sushi tasted great. The pieces were pretty huge, though, so about half the rice ended up falling back onto the plate as I tried to pick up each piece. I wouldn't want less fish so... maybe they could be cut in half or something? I don't mind less rice so I also wouldn't mind just having less rice under the fish, but other people might be sad to get less. The milk tea was topped with whipped cream and I enjoyed the taste. The boba felt a bit compact or something... not sure what was going on, but the texture was a bit different than what I expected from previous boba experiences elsewhere. They just opened and have said that they're open to feedback and menu item requests. I'm looking forward to returning (and/or ordering delivery) and hopefully updating my review to 5 stars!
