Minh's sits near the WSU campus on the northwest side of Pullman. We stopped by on a Friday night during Parents Weekend and a home game, so the place was packed. The vibe is simple and no frills, kind of like a school cafeteria with a handful of tables and steady chatter from groups of students and families. Service was good. Our server took our order right away, and the food came out fast. They kept up with drink refills even though it was busy, which I appreciated. The beef pho was okay. The broth didn't have much flavor, the soup wasn't quite hot enough, and the beef was sliced too thin, so it came out chewy. It wasn't bad, but it didn't quite hit the mark either. read more

We visited this restaurant for a large party after graduation. The restaurant was a bit older but the graduate highly recommended as it was his favorite in the area and all others were full this time. After we called we got in immediately and were greeted before we sat with water already out for each guest. There weren't many there when we arrived and we were sat in the back. It was like a semi-private room. She took appetizer orders first and then drinks. It did begin to fill up with more guests so it did take a while for our food to arrive but that was due to the day. Minh's has so much to offer. The food preparation was fresh, quick service and atmosphere wise we were the only ones seated since there was only half an hour left before it closed. We were welcomed by Marcus (sweet corgi) and the owners. Owing to the rain & windy weather we were starving and feasted on the chicken fried rice, Shrimp chowmein and Pork BBQ buns (had read about the buns in many reviews). I found the pork stuffing sweet, I was expecting a spicier version. But I guess that's how they are! Otherwise soft & super fluffy. OMG! This place is filthy dirty! They keep the utensils in a container on the counter that was so dirty I used a napkin to open it. Luckily the chopsticks were in sealed in paper. I waited about 15 minutes for them to bring me water and they never came to take my order and mind you, I was the only patron in the place. That should have been my first clue. Then I go to the bathroom. Big mistake. That should have been my 2nd clue to leave. I'm not a germ-o-phob but the soy sauce bottle was literally covered in a greasy film. I used some water on a napkin and was wiping it when the old Vietnamese woman came over and started screaming at me. "don't not like it? Table clean. It make me look bad when you clean." I responded, "there isn't another sole in here!" She screamed "You go. Get out of my restaurant! I not clean for you!" As other reviewers have said, very rude woman. Great food, large portions, decent service, sometimes a long wait for a table or to pick up food while busy. They don't have a lot of staff, but i believe it is a very small family owned business, and you can tell they all work so hard, so I think it's worth the wait! read more

We went and asked the woman if our food was almost ready because it had been an hour and a half and she said "you shouldn't have ate here if you were hungry." The feel of this restaurant is it's a take out place that happens to have some tables for sit in. The server I had was very nice, she was both the server in the back room where the tables were and the cashier in the front room for take out orders. I had come in from flying across the country and was starving and I did use Yelp to narrow down some places to go and eat once I got to Pullman. Since I was feeling like Chinese food, Mihn's won. I decided to do a combo with the wonton soup and almond chicken with pork friend rice. I did a quick search online for almond chicken and felt good with this choice to go into new territory. The wonton soup was fine. Little dumplings instead of larger wontons like I'm use to. The chicken and rice came out and....oh boy. So the pork fried rice really seemed like it was white rice with some sliced pork on top. Is this a Washington thing? I had never seen pork fried rice like this before. And the chicken. We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner in 2022 in the banquet room. While the decor and ambience wasn't anything fancy, Minh's was very accommodating and communicative per usual. I arranged everything via Facebook messenger and pre ordered all the dishes for the night so our family could share family-style. My picky Chinese parents enjoyed the food, which was surprising as we grew up in the large city with some very good Asian food restaurants. Minh's was also amazing and helping me choose options that were vegan and/or gluten-free so my partner and I were both able to eat almost every dish. I tried the bun bo hue which was pretty good and a very appropriate portion size. I almost wish it was a little bit spicier... it comes with flat pho noodles, not the round noodles but I like the flat better so honestly it works out. Their vermicelli bowls are also very huge and delicious. Skip the cream cheese wontons, too greasy and really thick wrappers. I am patiently biding my time to try their vietnamese coffee. read more

I'd never ever been to Minh's, though I've driven by a zillion times living here! Online, most all reviews were stellar, so I was excited to try it the other day. Greeting you in the store is the family Corgi and the sweetest girl behind the counter! With an extensive menu, we ordered some familiar dishes: custard dumplings, crab Rangoon, and the combo plate of almond chicken, sweet and sour prawns, pork fried rice, and pork chow mein. It was indeed sooooo fantastic! SOOOO MUCH FOOD. (I'm not complaining!) Hole in the wall place, loved the food and service. It's not pretentious, or flashy, just good. The layout and location gives it a bit of an interesting flare, but I like it. Homey and simple. I get nervous about restaurants that offer so many different dishes with a kitchen that isn't huge, so I got a stir-fried chicken dish, thinking this was something they'd serve often enough to be good at, and it was fine. Dropped by for early dinner before our flight out back home in NorCal. I got the combination pho and it was better than expected despite being only one size (similar to medium at other pho places I've frequent). Flavor was good and didn't need to add much of the condiments that were in the table. I'm from California where there's a pho restaurant around every corner and some of them served very bland pho broth. It was much pricier than the places back home by a few bucks. Server was attentive so all requests for things were taken care of promptly (fairly empty). I've ordered Minh's a few times and the service is always great. The food portions are normally a lot to the point there is always left overs. I was disappointed with my last order from them because this was my order of sweet and sour shrimp... The customer service was good but the food was bland and it had no flavor it was my first time eating there and will definitely be my last. Really expensive also I can't believe me and my partner paid for food that we didn't even enjoy. The fresh shrimp rolls also didn't come with the peanut sauce, we asked about it and they said that they don't make anymore because the owner doesn't like making it. So instead they gave us a different sauce and it was disgusting.
