They closed the whole store to accommodate our 12 players! I love the little setup these mini hotpots come in especially because you get your own flame under it. In my Taiwanese hot pot I got a great variety of meat, fish and vegetables, much more than I expected for a great price. Service was timely, waitress was helpful, and it was a nice interior. My biggest critique is the fact that both hot pots I tried (veggie and taiwan) were not spicy in the slightest, like at all, when we got the maximum spice level. The waitress did tell us this would be the case and its clearly because of the white palates here but I was still disappointed by the fact that the hot pots didn't have the signature sichuan spice of malatangs. The numbing spiciness of chinese/taiwanese hot pot is something that sets apart this cuisine for me so that makes me sad. On the way to the airport, after a visit with my daughter, and needed lunch. Been struggling to find good Chinese food at home so decided to give this place a try. Boy, was I impressed! Our table overlooking the street was great. The free egg drop soup to start out the meal was delicious! It was a bit before lunchtime, so not busy at all, and the service was very prompt. We ordered lunch specials - I had the orange chicken and my daughter had the sesame chicken. Both were delicious! Nice, light breading and tender chicken on both entrees. While there's plenty of "Americanized" dishes for people who are used to fast-service Chinese fare, this restaurant also has a lot of authentic southeast Chinese dishes. Mandarin House has some gems on the "Chinese Menu" (that you can view in English online ahead of time from their website). I spent over 140 on this place, my husband works 2 hours from home and spends 300 in gas weekly. Ok let me tell you, y'all need to steer clear from this place because the food is HORRIBLE and you would think for it being on a busy street it's amazing but no, dry and disgusting. This is one of my hands down favorite restaurants in Pullman! The good is great! I love the chow mein and almond chicken. The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable, and the waiter was super nice. Also, being a college kid, I usually order their food in when I have it.
