I had no plans to go out today in this sweltering Wednesday 95° Ohio day but then into my mind came dining at yours truly and I said OK let's do it. I got in my car and drove 20 miles to get to YT in Medina. This is the only west side one anywhere. I arrived 1217 - seated immediately, no lines - server instantly at the table and my diet Dr Pepper no ice was immediately delivered as well as a few seconds later my side bowl of chili. I opted to not order my usual and selected the cod entrée which is broiled and very diabetic healthy and the chili was one of my sides. I asked the server if the chili was hot she said no ---lived up to her answer and my expectations. It was not hot, hardly at all, and it was extremely meaty. I expected lots of beans, but the ratio was a lot of meat to a medium beans and it was very well presented in a bowl over a saucer with packets of crackers. I ordered the cod dinner which came with two sides one choice was the chili The other one is fresh fruit. I'm waiting for it to arrive. 12:41 my platter of cod over onions and spinach with fresh fruit just arrived. First thing I noticed was a fishy odor so I'm not excited about that but we shall see. their fresh fruit bowl had 8 different fruits --all fresh that's why I eat here. So I'm diving into very hot onions and spinach very tasty and the right temperature --tartar sauce accompanies this dish and has to be homemade as it has lots of chunks of pickles in it and it's rather tasty as well. Server JENN was very attentive and very pleasant throughout my visit offered me a diet Dr Pepper to go, presented my bill, didn't rush me and wished me a happy Fourth of July. There's not much more you can ask of a restaurant during lunch. I got it all. Everyone that I passed as I walked through the restaurant entering and exiting, spoke to me smiled at me and wished me a day of some sort you can't buy this kind of service. I haven't been to Medina except one other time this year so I'm gonna have to make some plans to return and so should you. Still a dynamite place to drive to, a nice drive if you're coming down from Cleveland or up from Akron and anything I've ever ordered at all the other YTs I visited over 20 years is always to die for and they make everything right, so you have a pleasant visit every single time. They know how to do it and their business plan is exceptional since they've been doing it so splendid for well over 40 years. read more

Walked in today at 10:40am and stood at the host stand for six full minutes. No one else was waiting. Three different employees walked right past us with zero acknowledgment or even a glance. Remembering how long it took to get our food last time (45 minutes after ordering), we decided not to stick around. This was my first time here. I had been craving a salad. I ordered the spinach salad with blueberries, strawberries, etc. It came with a dinner roll. Salad was super fresh. we were seated quickly. our waitress seemed to very busy and so there was a delayed time for our drinks. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The eggs used in the omelet were not real eggs and they had a funny smell and taste. Actually even my dog won't eat them and he usually gobbles eggs. So when you go there avoid anything that could be used in this manner such as scrambled along with the omelets. Restaurant was clean for the amount of customers that were coming in and out. Tara was our waitress and she was extremely friendly. I ordered a veggie omelette but ended up with a meat omelette. The kitchen goofed up. The omelette was good but too greasy for my tummy. My son ordered eggs bruschetta. It was a bit heavy on the spinach. He said it was "ok". My girlfriends and I enjoyed lunch today at this restaurant. It was about a 15 minute wait before we were seated so we enjoyed the sunshine outside. We were taken to our seats and our server came over promptly to our table. I ordered the Tuscan Chicken Wrap with a side of coleslaw and sweet potato fries. One lady ordered the Chicken Salad in a sandwich, one ordered a patty melt sandwich and one ordered the Regular Chicken Wrap. We waited on our food for about 10 minutes. The portions were generous and everything was delicious. I especially liked the honey mustard dipping sauce with the fries. Our server was attentive and filled drinks as needed and removed plates quickly. The restaurant was busy almost to capacity during the 2 hours (we do this once a year so we have a lot to talk about) that we were there. The restroom was neat and clean as well. Pleasant friendly staff added to our experience. I will go back again and try some of the other items on the menu that looked good. All in all it was a nice lunch that we all enjoyed. read more

We had just come from the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery in Rittman for our Dad's funeral. We planned on stopping at YT Medina and had a great Breakfast/lunch. Hannah (our server) is a wonderful asset to your restaurant, was so friendly, funny and really made our visit relaxing. The Tavern Fish Sandwich cooked by the Owner was outstanding. No one can top it. The fish is so fresh, it was falling apart! There is home made tartar sauce, fresh lettuce and tomato, and Bermuda onion on top. Even the Cole slaw had me intrigued. The brioche bun was fresh! The fish fry is another great choice. We came here for the nostalgia. This chain of restaurants was one our favorites in Medical school. This location is fabulous! It has a hometown feel. Staff goes above and beyond. The food is so good we came back the next day for breakfast. I'm partial to the tuna salad ( not too Mayo-ey) but you can't go wrong with any thing you pick. read more

Started w/ onion rings app'r which was just right - perfectly crispy. Good batter. Our Orders were Veggie Quesadilla, Envelope (veg pita pocket), impossible burger, and I got a combo: chili & chicken walnut salad on Rye. Chili was sweet & not spicy so I liked it. Half sandwich was tasty, pretty decent moist chicken salad. Wife's quesadilla had a good crisp cook on it, pretty loaded too. Envelope was huge, lotsa spinach falling out. Impossible burger was liked by dad. Fries were not great, not crispy and were the coins.. nobody liked em. Coleslaw was ok, taste was good but too liquidy and separated. Server was nice. Good breakfast, great way to start our day of traveling. I particularly like the crispy hash browns and my husband enjoyed the French toast. The OJ was all natural fresh and pulpy!! We stopped by Yours Truly after a recent volleyball tournament to refuel. They're known for breakfast, so that's what I ordered. The rest of the fam opted for the usual dinner for dinner. I ordered a veggie omelet with a side of sweet potato fries. My omelet also came with french fries. My daughter ordered a steak, and the wife ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich. My son ordered his usual chicken tenders. I gave my son my regular fries while I chowed down on some sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were delicious and they were served with a spicy dipping sauce, which complemented them well. My omelet was delicious. It had fresh veggies and I had a side of salsa, which made it even better. Topped with hot sauce, it was a great omelet. My daughter's steak was decent. It wasn't worth $15 though. My wife said her buffalo chicken sandwich was good. We'll visit again. read more

We came here because I wanted Notso fries and they did NOT disappoint!! They may have been better than I remembered! Due to their deliciousness, there isn't a picture. My husband ordered the Chagrin Broil, which isn't on the actual menu, but they will still make it. He enjoyed it. I ordered the Asian chicken and vegetables with rice and a salad. This was fair. I had read a review on another website that this restaurant was very dog friendly. So we took our dog. When we arrived, the gate to the patio was open, so we entered. I told my husband I would go in to get ourselves registered with the hostess. When I stepped inside, the hostess was just heading out to the patio. She asked me what I was doing, and before I could answer, she led me back outside. She was extremely rude in telling me dogs were not allowed and told me I had to register with the hostess. I told her I was on my way to do that. A gentleman came out and wanted to know how we got into the patio. He was pretty upset with us. The hostess told him we came in thru the back door. (Who knew?) He told us unless our dog was a service dog he couldn't come in. I told him I had read on a review site, that they were dog friendly. He then started yelling at me saying that was not on their website. We were very rudely kicked out of the restaurant. It was unprofessional and humiliating. I would have been fine if we were treated respectfully, but they chose to humiliate us. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Ambiance is zero. Service was the absolute worst! We ordered two burgers and 1 chicken sandwich. The server never asked how we wanted them cooked or what side we wanted.( there were three or four choices).We got two sets of silverware and had to steal one from nearby table as she didn't come around to see if we needed anything until we were almost done. We never received a refill on our tea. We sat there for what seemed like 20 mins.waiting for check.Finally went to register to get check to pay. So service also zero. The food well.... This is a really great dining experience. A very large menu. Staff is so friendly, helpful and professional. This place can handle large groups easily. Food came out hot and fresh. Booths and tables. This restaurant has a lot of seating. There is a special on Friday's. A shared parking lot that can get really busy. This is a busy place because it is very good. Excellent management.
