My husband and I checked this place out for the first time and liked it! The covered patio was very cute and the fans definitely helped with temp regulation. Our server was also very friendly and attentive. Other staff was also friendly upon seeing that my husband and I were entering the restaurant from the wrong place which they normalized for us saying it happens often. Indoors provides two distinct seating options with one area being more casual and the other being fine dining. I love me some variety! I really liked my salad as all of the ingredients were super fresh. My sandwich was pretty good but definitely not excellent. There wasn't enough filling considering the thickness of the bread. My husband enjoyed his burger but thought the fries were definitely the stand out item on his plate. We wouid both come back and try different items as the experience was overall positive. read more

NOT GLUTEN-FREE FRIENDLY -- AVOID The staff have virtually no understanding of gluten-free dietary requirements, and their dismissive, unprofessional attitude when asked about gluten-free options makes the situation even worse. This is a serious food safety concern. I went to dinner with a friend, and immediately noticed that nothing on the menu was labeled gluten-free. I asked whether a nut-crusted fish could be prepared gluten-free and was told no. Our server then suggested the mahi mahi with fried rice, assuring me it could be made gluten-free. I specifically asked her to confirm that it contained no soy sauce, and she assured me she had checked and that the meal was gluten-free. My meal arrived with fried rice soaked in regular soy sauce. When I brought this to the server's attention, she immediately disputed my concern and insisted that the kitchen had been told to prepare it gluten-free. Rather than taking the issue seriously, she was defensive and unhelpful. I had to insist that she go back and verify the ingredients. Only then did she return and acknowledge that I was correct -- the fried rice contained soy sauce and was NOT gluten-free. After serving me a meal containing gluten despite explicitly assuring me otherwise, the proposed solution was to offer a different side for an additional $6.00. Throughout the dinner, I asked approximately four times about which items were safe for me to eat, and each time the server appeared increasingly impatient. Despite all those questions and repeated assurances, I was still served a plate of food containing gluten. For someone with celiac disease or a medical need to avoid gluten, this is not a minor inconvenience. It is a serious failure in food safety, staff training, and customer service. Customers should not have to repeatedly challenge their server just to get accurate information about the food they are being served. This restaurant needs a complete overhaul of its allergen procedures, menu labeling, and staff education. It's 2026, not 1996. Gluten-free dining is not some obscure concept, and confidently telling a customer that a meal is safe when it is not is completely unacceptable. If you need to eat gluten-free, I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant. read more

Maddie. Just go to the Pub and ask for Maddie's station. Then order the Chef's Breakfast drink and relax. I almost got the Hungarian pepper appetizer. Next time. The salmon salad was so delicious. Salmon was seasoned very well. Hot. Tender. On a bed of lettuce. Crab cake appetizer for another family members went down really fast. The crème brûlée must have been delicious but my wife would not let me have any. Made her pay the bill. Thanks Maddie! read more

My friend and I stopped into Thyme2 for lunch after visiting Castle Noel. It was a weekday and we got lucky with a mostly empty restaurant. We were seated right away and our friendly and prompt waiter was quick to bring us menus, drinks, and take our order. Our food came out hot and quickly. We devoured the soft pretzels with beer cheese. The pretzels were fresh, hot, and had just the right amount of salt. Then our 4-cheese and sausage pizza came out. Perfection. Everything down to the crust was delicious. The decor and seating area are comfortable, yet elegant. The bar area was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. I'd come back here in a heartbeat. read more

First time stopping into Thyme2 after hearing from others about their great experience here. We stopped in for a quick lunch as it was a nice day and could sit outside. This place is awesome with a perfect sized menu and great variety. They offer a pub lunch and dinner menu and a fine dining menu, and we ordered from the pub lunch menu. The fine dining menu is a bit more expensive, and reasonably so. The pub lunch menu is perfect, offering munchies to share, salads, burgers, wraps, pizzas and so much more. I did not sit inside but got to take a look as I used the restroom and the ambiance is really nice and a beautiful interior. All the food was outstanding and large portion sizes. The service was also great and everyone was so friendly and personable. Even the server who was not designated to our table was chatting with us and cracking jokes and just made the experience awesome. Our waiter was also great and even offered to split the salad onto 2 plates as he heard we were going to be sharing it. The portobello pizza was incredible, it had goat cheese and honey and it was a flavor bomb that I have not tasted before. It was a good size for the price and is just the right size as it could be a personal size or share it with another person. We also ordered the special which was the chicken bacon ranch wrap with fries, they gave a very generous portion of chicken which I loved as usually restaurants skimp out on that. I wish there was more ranch but only because of the generous portion of meat. We also ordered the steak cobb salad and the steak was AMAZING! So flavorful and the peppercorn ranch dressing was very very good. Side note - order the fries! these are the best fries I have had in a LONG TIME and were perfectly crispy and salted. I would come back for the fries alone. Overall, this place is great! I would say to stop in if you are in the area but you should come even if you are not in the area. The pricing is great, service is awesome, and the food is flavorful and great. I would love to come back here as soon as I can. read more

Wow, best food in Medina for sure! Everything was delicious from the Bavarian pretzel and mussel appetizers to the amazing Bleu cheese burger, bacon burger, jerk chicken sandwich and kids pasta. The house salad with goat cheese and the pizzas were also so good. You can order from the pub menu or the restaurant menu and both are fantastic. Would come back in a heartbeat! read more

Best burger and staff in Medina! I really don't need to say more but YELP makes you write a longer review. That is not right.

This place is legit! we got recommended this spot after a visit to nearby majestic meadows farm and it did not disappoint. They have classic american eats downstairs and around 5pm their upstairs opens for more upscale food which i want to go back and try. the meany seemed pretty unassuming and even though it had good reviews i really want not expecting it to be so good. the vibe was homey and lively, service was prompt and really good, and the food!! the bacon burger was SO GOOD and they split it for us without us even having to ask. overall this spot is very intentional and executes well. medina hidden gem read more

I do love the atmosphere at Thyme. Lunch has a limited menu. Nothing out of the ordinary. However, dinner is always off the chart. The owner makes everyone feel important. I can say this restaurant will be around for a long time. It is a Medina Legend. read more

This hidden gem is absolutely amazing!! It's right next to the new hotel in the Medina square that is being built. My husband surprised me for our ten year anniversary with a lunch date while kids were at school. The fine dining upstairs is generally not open during lunch hours yet the manager allowed him to reserve a table and the chef agreed to let us order from the fine dining menu which can I say was absolutely amazing. We also learned there is a bar/restaurant downstairs that is super cozy and there is seating on the one side to watch the chef cook! They have outdoor seating during warm weather! We will %100 be back :) Thank you for making our ten year anniversary so perfect! read more

Came in on a Friday midafternoon for lunch. The place was bumping! Service was fast and friendly. They sat us in the Pub, which was pretty neat as you can see right into the kitchen. They were prepping some bone in pork chops for dinner I have got to go back for! My daughter had the turkey club and I had the grilled cheese. We both had the tomato bisque soup. Everything was delicious! Really looking forward to trying the upstairs for dinner some day. Can't believe I've never been here before. read more

Dear Thyme Two, Just wanted to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding dining experience our group of 15 had in your fine dining area. We were celebrating my son's 18th birthday on Valentine's Day, and as his favorite restaurant, this marked our 8th Valentine's birthday dinner with you. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. We were seated immediately, and a delicious "amuse-bouche" appeared as if by magic, setting the tone for a wonderful meal. Our group sampled a wide variety of dishes, with standouts like the Korean barbecue beef kimchi (incredible flavor profile!) and the hot burrata with thin bread. My son was especially impressed with his filet, which he declared the "finest in Ohio." Thank you for making this a truly memorable birthday celebration. Please extend our appreciation to your entire team, including the bartenders for their excellent libations. I would have give 10 stars if the site would have let me. What a hidden GEM in Medina Ohio. read more

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent atmosphere. We've been going here for years without any disappointment.

Thyme 2 has been a staple in Medina for 20 years! Chef Kolar and his team consistently deliver an exceptional dining experience that combines creativity, quality ingredients, and incredible attention to detail. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, making it clear how much pride the kitchen takes in their work. The restaurant itself is a gem in the heart of the Historic Medina Square, and with the new Legacy Hotel opening right next door later this year, it's exciting to see how this area continues to grow. Chef Kolar and his team are truly an asset to the Medina community. If you're looking for a memorable meal in a charming historic setting, Thyme 2 should absolutely be on your list. My favorite for lunch is their Turkey Club! And in the summer I love dining on the patio. read more

This was the best dinner in the area I've had out in a while. I met some friends here on a Friday evening and though we didn't have reservations to sit in the fine dining upstairs area, we were seated downstairs right away. The vibe is more relaxed downstairs, but you can order from both the pub menu and the restaurant menu so that was a nice surprise! Two of my companions had burgers from the pub menu and both were really impressed...one saying the spicy flamethrower burger he had was the best of its kind he has ordered anywhere. I got the beggar's purse salad from the restaurant menu and it was quite good. A unique offering with a warm goat cheese pastry and sweeter with the rhubarb compote, it was a pleasant flavor pairing. There were several other items (especially on the restaurant menu) that looked great to me so I definitely plan to come back and sample more things. Thank you, Thyme2! read more

Thyme2 is located just south of the Square (walking distance - literally only a few hundred feet), so it's in a great location. The upstairs section of Thyme is considered fine dining, while the downstairs area is more of a pub feel. It is one of the more popular restaurant in Medina. We've been on several occasions and usually sit in the pub area. You can't go wrong with either place. Obviously, the pub is more casual. They actually have two different menus as well, but I believe you can order off of either menu regardless of where you sit; you just have to ask. Last time we were there, my wife got this smoked tomato bisque soup. It did not sound good to me, but when I tried hers, I wished I had ordered one! It had a really unique flavor. I would definitely recommend this. I had a burger, which was fine. Next time I will try something more original. The couple next to us had a lobster pizza, which did not sound good to me either. However, they ordered it without even looking at the menu, so they are obviously regulars and that is their go to dish. I may have to try that next time. There are so many cool things to do in this area, which helps make Thyme an excellent choice for a night out. Have dinner here and also enjoy: the Christmas lights at the Square, Castle Noel, Alien miniature golf, Lemonberry ice cream/yogurt or Boba, or any other of the fun things to do in this part of town. read more

This is a Jeykll/Hyde restaurant in that the upstairs is the fancy part and you can make reservations. The downstairs is for the plebians and seating is free for all BUT you can order from the fancy menu as well as from the pub. Everyone in my party ordered a burger with fries and they did look great. The fries were very rectangular, crispy and seasoned. Our server told us that the simple side salads were free! That was a cool perk. They were nothing too special but that's a nice addition to anything fried! I got their special that day which was the Korean short ribs with kimchi and rice cakes. Okay, the short ribs were cooked very authentically! It was the appetizer portion so it was kind of tiny but the presentation and taste were on point. It was $22 which wasn't on the menu or said before which is super pricey for just an appetizer but I did end up getting full off my BF's leftover fries. The staff was very friendly and speed of food was pretty fast for them being pretty busy. I would come back and try their upstairs experience! They have their own parking lot off the square and it's close walk to all the ice cream, froyo, bubble tea, dessert places! read more

We had a party of about 11 or 12 people today for lunch and this place didn't disappoint! The service was excellent. The atmosphere is casual but the food is something you would expect at an upscale restaurant. The food was delicious. I had the tomato bisque which was rich, creamy and served hot. I also had the lobster pizza which was delicious too! My mom had a Rueben sandwich and my mom in law had the steak Cobb salad. read more

We came for dinner on Thursday night, with a business group of six. Our table was ready right on time on the dining side. Both hostesses were very friendly, setting the tone for the rest of the evening. This is such a charming place, the decor is just unique, and then there's the additional bar and pub dining downstairs. We did not try any of that food, but I hear from my client there's a jerk chicken sandwich that's amazing. We were brought in a amuse-bouche of potato poblano, absolutely amazing! I knew right then that we were in for a delightful meal. Our server, I'm sorry I forget his name, was just amazing. We ordered four appetizers, and cocktails. When we were ready for dinner, it was perfectly timed. Everyone's dinner was amazing, and I would absolutely return here again if I was in Medina. Food that we tried; appetizers: pierogies, poke cups, shrimp appetizer, and crab cakes. Mains: walleye special, filet mignon, prime rib, and scampi. Desserts: banana pudding cheesecake, chocolate lava cake, and creme brulee. I didn't take any pictures as it was a client meal. read more

Let's start with the good: arrived around 5:30 on a Saturday evening since we wanted to sit at the bar and luckily beat the rush. We're greeted by the bartender right away and he made a great dirty martini for me and a fruity drink for my husband (don't laugh - he loves grapefruit and orange flavors!), that was about where the good ended aside from the French onion soup being quite good and the French fries being amazing, the rest of the food was average or even below average in my opinion. the bad: the bartenders stopped paying attention to us, which is fine - it was a busy Saturday evening, we made do. We finally placed our orders for food and like I mentioned, French onion was decent. I ordered a wedge salad to start and I really just thought it was boring and just not good. No dressing but like a bacon jam of sorts on it - it was bizarre. I ended up taking it home and making a homemade blue cheese that I ate it with later that saved it somewhat. I ordered the mussels which were very interesting with a chorizo cream sauce but the mussels themselves (supposedly PEI) were the tiniest I've ever seen and for some reason they didn't have a mussels fork even after I asked so I was given a spoon which was awkward. Luckily I wasn't very hungry since the mussels themselves could never have filled me up. My husband ordered a burger which I thought looked amazing but he was neither here nor there with it. The French fries were truly sooooo good I will say some of the best I've ever had at a restaurant. I'd go back just for the French fries and a dirty martini, girl dinner style but probably wouldn't dine there for much else in the future. read more

What a fun time! My parents live in the area and we were visiting from CT. We used this place as our "last night together" dinner and what a special time it was. We filled up on appetizers and drinks before digging into yummy meals. The food was delicious. I loved that the menu wasn't pages and pages long but there was something for everyone on there. We visited for the "pub section" of the restaurant rather than the fine dining option. It was a lovely spring day and we enjoyed time out on the patio. My parents were excited that we discovered this spot so they can visit. Until next time! read more

Sometimes terrible service , sometimes decent , but rarely very good or great service . So we don't go there much anymore unless it is an off time . Food is generally good often very good but drinks and wine are priced on the high side . Often waited for server to notice empty glasses . They seem understaffed at busy times and you wait time for more water, tea or a drink is annoying . Ambience is noisy at peak times and having a conversation is hard at those times . The Porch is Very nice when available , but often full and unavailable unless you go at off times . read more

Food was well below average, our server was mentioning the specials and advertised the prime rib verbally being $42 but, once the check came it was $52. The rib itself was fine but the side was horrendous. A grilled lettuce? The only time I have seen this was on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. I ordered a simple grilled cheese which came with a tomato bisque which was smoked?? Just a bizarre and distasteful thing to add a smokey taste to a tomato soup, had about 1/2 a spoonful which tasted like a burnt log. Only time in my life I have had an issue with a basic grilled cheese meal, coming from a "pub and fine dining" restaurant very disappointing. Atmosphere and appearance of the restaurant was nice but, the food was the opposite. read more
