Visted 111 with the wife recently before a local high school football game. We were promptly seated without a reservation. Our waitress arrived quickly and provided a bottle of filtered water and two glasses. We were in a hurry, so we went ahead and requested dinner quickly. I opted for the duck dinner and my wife, pork loin with a waffle. Our waitress asked if we wanted soup or salad and I asked what the soup of the day was. She said something about tomato bisque. She had me at tomato, so I requested a bowl and my wife requested a salad. Then we requested some adult beverages. I went with an imported German wheat beer that they had on draft. A short while later, our soup and salad arrived. The tomato bisque was the best I've ever had. It was absolutely superb. It had some different stuff in it, including croutons, which I mixed into the bisque and blissfully consumed. I'm thinking it might be worth the visit, just for the bisque. Amazing. A long while later, our dinners arrived. My duck was cooked as requested and it was good. It didn't knock my socks off though, which I was hoping it would. The puree that it was served on was spectacular. My wife's pork loin was also superb, but the waffle and brussels sprouts that it was served with were a definite miss. The brussels sprouts were a tad undercooked, weren't seasoned well, and just weren't great. The waffle was a total flop. I don't know what was going on there, but it didn't taste good and it had a bad texture. Overall, the meal was good, but not great. We'll be back. read more

We went here for Mother's Day and while service was great!, the food was just alright. Their menu is somewhat creative and interesting, but prices are pretty high for the area and for the quality of the food. It wasn't bad, but when I spend $112 for 3 people, I expect a lot more flavor and wow factor. Sadly, I don't think many places are meeting that bar these days. Portions were large - enough for leftovers x2, so that is a plus. I would rate around 3-3.5. Hopefully they can make some adjustments to the food as they continue to fine tune the menu. read more

Went to 111 Bistro for the first time yesterday evening and had a pleasant experience. We made 6pm reservations for a Saturday night and got right in. Service was fast and friendly - I was impressed! As far as food, we were told the menu changes 4-5 times a year for the seasons which I love to see. There weren't a ton of vegetarian options this time which was a little disappointing, but I was able to get one of the valentines specials (cod loin) and it was quite tasty! My husband got the 111 burger and fries and said it was good but nothing life changing. All in all we'd go back for the great service but maybe when the menu changes again. read more

My wife and I have been dining at 111 Bistro since it opened. And, as always - Chef Anthony Scolaro and his team did not disappoint. The latest menu is as good as ever. We tried a variety of dishes - from the Spanish octopus appetizer to the Blonde Bolonese, everything was excellent. This is a place you should make time to go to - not just for special occasions but as your 'go to' restaurant too. The server was very nice and, as usual Anthony took the time to stop by our table to say hi - always nice to see from a busy chef. Who knew you could find scratch made, local fare with a bar to match in Medina County, let alone nestled in a shopping plaza! I can't wait to come back and try something new, not to mention it was raining so couldn't sit on the patio. Greeted as soon as we hit the door, welcomed like family and bustled to a waiting booth. Great ambiance, exposed brick, fresh menu with desserts to rival the best pastry chefs. Started with a few apps, seared scallops that melted like butter and Mexican street corn. We definitely could have ordered an extra app and made it a meal. I went on to have the fish with fresh green beans and succotash, truly bursting with fresh flavors. My "hat" off to the chef. Walked right in and got a seat on a Wed night. Service was quick and friendly. The food is a bit different but good. Started with cheesesteak soup which was good but spicier than my stomach was looking for. Entree was the chicken parm and again good but different. It was served in a bed of tomato risotto and topped with a fried mozzarella ball which ended up being kind of like a big cheese stick. The chicken was a deboned chicken breast with the bone in leg (?) still attached which is a prep on chicken I've never seen. read more

High quality, inspired food! Large portions, top-notch wine menu, fun, seasonal cocktails. We've gone twice now. The first visit was flawless. You must try the kimchi balls (homemade kimchi!). The second visit was during Medina Restaurant Weeks and we were slightly less impressed. The braised short rib was dry and the duck seemed a little tough, but the flavors were there and the cheesecake to die for. Loved my Salmon which was complemented by Watercress cream, brown rice, marcona almond, sherry braised onion medley, sherry reduction, chive and shallots. The appetizer, chorizo stuffed Medjool dates wrapped in bacon, were yummy! My sweetheart had the pork porterhouse with French green beans and rice with a sauce I can not recall. The cheese cake with champagne grapes sauce we shared for desert was one of the best I've ever eaten. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. She made us feel welcome but not rushed even on New Years Eve! The cuisine was creative, not your run of the mill food. The fare was flavorful and beautifully presented. Came for a company event at the beginning of this year. We had a selection of drinks and a buffet type dinner in the back room. Was a little tight around for how many ppl we had, but it worked great. Staff was great and was on top of it for service. The food was really great as well. The coconut shrimp was a huge hit with everyone, and so was the margarita pizza with the appetizers. The main dish we had is pork, and i believe chicken, which was awesome as well. I wish I knew the type of sauce that was with the coconut shrimp. The people at work keep asking me about it. My husband and I moved to Sharon Center a year ago and have been coming to One Eleven every few weeks since! The bartender Anthony, is amazing and so friendly, along with all of the staff and the sweet guy that works alongside Anthony, I wish I could remember his name. He's always cheerful and talks with us. Food is ALWAYS delicious and we never have to wait. We have probably tried everything on the menu and haven't found a single dish we don't like. This was our first time here. Very warm and welcoming environment. Great wine/cocktail menu. I got the Seafood Newburg Pasta and he got the Wagyu steak. We also each added a lobster tail. My dish was absolutely amazing. Scallops/scampi were cooked perfectly and pasta/sauce was delicious. His steak was melt-in-your-mouth perfect (cooked medium rare as requested). Frites packed a punch with flavor, and the peppercorn demi complimented the dish very well. Lobster tails were also cooked to perfection. Carolyn, our server, was very sweet and attentive. She was very familiar with the menu and gave us great descriptions of the menu items when we were deciding what to order. Hands down one of the best dinners we've ever enjoyed. Stopped here while on a road trip from NH to KY. Had the best Eggplant Parm I have ever had. My companions had Summer Salad and a house salad, both of which looked delicious. I'm giving this 4 stars because we really enjoyed our dining experience, but there were a few things that could have been better. The atmosphere is really nice here. Its cozy but contemporary. Clean and spacious. Our server was Chance, who was extremely friendly, professional, and attentive. The menu offers a nice variety but not overwhelming. Something for everyone. Cocktail menu and wine list offer many great options. We ordered a few cocktails and they were all excellent. We didn't order any appetizers for the sole reason that everything on the menu was so expensive, although I would have liked to try a few. We opted to instead save that for desserts. I ordered the tomato basil soup which was absolutely delicious. The server never brought any bread to the table, which was a bit awkward as I ate my soup while the others in my party just sat there and watched me. There were bread dishes on the table, so guessing he just forgot? No biggie. We ordered the burger, chicken and waffles, and duck for our entrees. Burger was excellent, but still wrapping my head around the price of $19 for a burger? Chicken and waffles was excellent, but I would have preferred the butter, syrup, and jalapeños on the side so I could control where and how much was added to the dish. The duck was decent, but we would not order it again. It was missing a wow factor...not enough flavor, kick, or something. For dessert we ordered the flourless chocolate cake and peach pie. Chocolate cake was very good. The peach pie was underwhelming. It probably would have been much better if a tad bit tarter, served warm with a side of ice cream. We didn't bother finishing it. Now about the price. We have been here a few times and have always enjoyed our meals. The prices are really high, considering this restaurant is in a strip mall on route 18 in Medina. These are prices I'd expect downtown or with linens on the table. We would frequent here more often, but it's hard to justify spending that much on the bill. If the three of us had just ordered burgers and had waters to drink, the bill with tax and tip would have been nearly $80! We only dine at independent restaurants that source local, so having trouble justifying paying the price here. Granted, we will be back to try some other items on the menu, but likely won't visit as often primarily due to the price. read more

Waited 20 min for a beer to hit the table and another 20 min to put in an app order. I ordered the ahi tuna app. It was ok. Smallish portion of tuna. For the entree, I ordered the NY Strip.l - medium rare. It came out medium well. I brought this to the attention of our server who seemed completely disinterested in fixing it. Since it had been over an hour - I just said I would eat it. No manager stopped out to check on us. Besides being overcooked, frankly it was neither seasoned well or tasted good. It was hard to eat. At $27, I was going to choke it down - which I did. I will not try again. read more

We had a fabulous first experience at 111 Bistro! Our server Calista was super friendly, helpful, sweet, and made sure our food and drinks came out quickly and correctly. Our entrees were delicious and reasonably priced. Both featured unique ingredients and the portions were perfect. The chocolate cake was an incredible dessert, compete with custard and pistachios. First time and it was very good, nice decor and friendly staff. The food was very good and the presentation looked awesome. I've hesitated to go do to the location in a stripe mall. After seeing good reviews and wanting to try something different I gave it a shot and I'm glad I did, I'll be back! The pictures look a bit weird, the plates are black so it made the photo look strange with the sauce in the plates. I'm excited to go back and try some other dishes. The tuna appetizer was great, the deviled eggs are a little heavy on the pickle but I loved it, I had the seafood pasta, tender noodles with nice sized scallops but it was a little light on the other ingredients, sauce was good. We had fabulous service by Michelle on the patio. we ordered multiple apps to snack on and we almost licked the plates clean. Calamari, tuna, carrots, pot stickers, asparagus with burrata, fries, stuffed peppers, and deviled eggs!!! Each one was unique and fabulous. The curried carrots might have been my favorite, however the slaw accompanying the slightly seared tuna was like a kimchi and fabulous! . Date night with another couple, eclectic American food in a lively atmosphere (for the suburbs!). We started off the evening with selections from their drink menu. They had several "specials" so we gave a few of them a try and really enjoyed the tastes. Each of the couples ordered an appetizer and we shared them around the table. Our friends got the calamari, which were perfectly crisp, spicy and slightly chewy and were served with a smoky tomato dipping sauce with great flavor. My wife and I ordered the poutine which had good flavor, just not enough curds and the sauce/gravy was on the thin side. My wife and I both were in a red meat mood, so we did something we rarely do and got the same entree...the beef short ribs. The dish was tender with a very light wine sauce, mustard spätzle and root vegetables (which was a nice accompaniment). For being out in the 'burbs, the place had a great, lively vibe and the dish preparations were innovative and tasty. Stopped in for breakfast this morning. I had steak and eggs with bacon and Yukon hash browns. I substituted a lemon pancake for the english muffin. This establishment does breakfast well. Everything was cooked perfectly. The steak was very delicious. They have several vegan options as well. Kayleigh was an excellent server. Very knowledgeable and helpful. On the wall they have a chalk board with all of their draft beer options. I am going to have to stop back for dinner and try some of the beer. Great place with a lot of options. read more

The malt vinegar aioli was really tasty for the fries. I shamefully asked for more haha. We had scallops with butternut squash purée and beets- super unique and flavorful. And we had a salad with pomegranate, goat cheese, beets, and a yummy white French dressing and added salmon to it. Salmon and scallops were cooked appropriately and everything tasted fresh.
