I came here with a friend on a Wednesday night back in October 2025 and were promptly seated. The lady who was working was very welcoming and polite which was nice as well. I was really excited to try this place because I love tteokbokki, and I definitely had my desires met. We ended up ordering the original tteokbokki (L) with rose, and it was really savory and delicious. The tteok were small (which I prefer) and wonderfully chewy, and the mandu was nice and crunchy while pairing well with the rich sauce. The beef was maybe a little on the saltier side, but I prefer that over being bland. I also liked that they provided quail eggs and some green onion to cut through the grease. Since I'm weak to spice, we ordered the mild, and it definitely was manageable for me. I was surprised at how much food was given - it was enough for us two to share. First time trying this place and was pleasantly surprised at the flavors. I got the tteokbokki combo with Kimbop which comes with your choice of a small tteokbokki and any flavor Kimbop. I got the smoky brisket tteokbokki with an additional $1 for rose sauce, and I liked how their standard spice is mild! A lot of the places I try tteokbokki at are overly spicy, so I was actually able to enjoy the dish thoroughly here. I then got a side of the fried shrimp kimbop and it also has a great flavor and texture! The only downside was it was a weekend lunch, and they only staffed one waiter to take orders, serve and clean. It was a filled restaurant too so I felt so bad for the poor worker! Phoned in an order for pick up because it's in diamond jamboree and that plaza is always a nightmare. Got two kimbaps and sundae (Korean blood sausage). This spot hits the kimbap craving. Had all the options you could want and some more unique styles too. While I wasn't much of a fan of the sundae, I found it a bit too mushy, my partner enjoyed it. We went there on Friday evening around 6. It was empty at first, but it quickly filled up and got very busy. Also, parking in this plaza is always crazy, so be warned! We ordered the kimchi fried rice, brisket tteokbokki, original tteokbokki, katsu, ramen tteokbokki and tuna kimbop. Everything was delicious. I especially love the tteobokki and kimbop combo as they complement the flavors well. The decor is very cute -- a nostalgic Korean 90s-2000s aesthetic with vintage wall art, and they play music from that era too. Service was great. I brought a cake to celebrate my friend's birthday, and they cleared the table for us quickly. They also gave us fresh plates and utensils to share the cake. Most of all, I could tell they were genuinely kind and greeted us with a smile. I do wish they offered a small size for the original flavor tteokbokki, since they only serve it in a large size. I've been here a handful of times, and it's been pleasant, HOWEVER, I came in 5/14 and it was the most awkward and uncomfortable experience. There was no one in the front which is totally fine it's a slow day, maybe they're restocking or taking care of something in the back. After waiting 5 mins, no one comes out, a girl in glasses see we're waiting and doesn't say anything, but I don't take offense because my thought was okay maybe she's the cook, not the cashier, no biggie. Another min or two pass and the cashier comes out with the worst attitude, almost as if we interrupted him. Short, unresponsive, and doesn't acknowledge that we have been waiting and doesn't say anything until we said "Hi" and started asking questions. Because it's been a min since I've been back, I asked a question and gave me two words and pointed. I was excited to come back because I have been craving Korean food, but after this, idk. Everything I've tried so far has been chefs kiss! Staff is always so friendly and helpful when it comes to the menu and recommendations. Portions are big enough to share! The tteokbokki was nice and chewy not really spicy at all. It was also very long you need to cut up the pieces. The meat portion was quite small compared to the amount of tteokbokki and was a little firm and dry. The tempura was great and perfect when dipped into the sauce especially that round triangular one. I will be honest that it was only two of us so there was a lot of food because the variety of Kim bap, in the variety of other spicy soups was a lot. Love kimbap but the avocado kimbap here is to another level!! I came by after having had a light meal in the mall but decided to get more food since I was still hungry. Not wanting something heavy I ordered an avocado kimbap! But wow! The ingredients are super fresh! The avocado was super creamy. The rice was well seasoned, and I can actually differentiate each piece of rice, not too soft, not too hard. I had to go back another night! Honestly really yummy food! I think this spot is great! It hit the spot for our late night meal and we came out pretty full and satisfied. Located in the Diamond Jamboree Center, parking can definitely be a challenge depending when you go. But there is a parking garage so don't give up! The restaurant itself isn't cute and cozy. There's a decent amount of seating. But I could see it possibly getting more crowded and being a challenge. They are not dog friendly and there isn't really outdoor seating either. You order at the counter and then pick your seat. Service was good. I had no complaints or issues. The worker took our order, was kind and polite and got his job done. There were two people working and they were both working hard cooking, cleaning, taking orders and more. It was nice to see hard workers. Food was pretty yummy. The Garlic Butter fries were soooo good. I liked them a lot! They had a pretty similar taste to Honey Butter Chips. The Brisket Tteokbokki was pretty big. The portion is enough for two, if not more people to share. The amount of brisket was generous. They had a good amount of rice cakes and noodles in there too. I think the price was matching what you were paying for. If I'm in the area, I wouldn't mind coming back again. It's a little on the higher end side for this kind of dish and is kinda spicy so keep that in mind too. The service was great and is pretty much self serviced. We chose to get the pork katsu tteokbokki (s) with a side of the corn fritters, and it was still a lot for two people. The rice cake on the tteokbokki was very soft and soaked up a lot of flavor from the sauce. The dish also came with fish cake and ramen noodles, making it super filling. The corn fritters were probably our least favorite. We were more so expecting batter corn in chunks, but it was regular corn pieces, coated with sugar and topped with a bed of sweet cheese sauce. For me it was overly sweet, so I probably won't order that again. We came during a weekday at midday so there wasn't a wait.
