Absolutely love it here. I don't know how, but this place just became one of my favorite coffee places with their coconut ice cream coffee and their Ube coffee. I've always been a big fan of Da Vien in the OC, however, this can probably be a big contender! The drinks are super strong and creamy, definitely will keep you up. The Ube I had a subtitle Ube flavor to it and the coconut ice cream coffee has this cute block of ice cream as well as coconut shavings in it, which is a fun little twist. The people who work here are very nice. Unfortunately, I didn't love the taste of the coffee in the iced egg coffee. It was too bitter and had a slight burnt taste to it which actually might be how they meant for it to taste. I didn't find the coffee palatable until the last 30% of it when I was able to really get a good and proportional mix between the egg topping (which is delicious) and the coffee. 5 stars I finally mustered up the courage to try Egg Coffee ($5.50) for the first time at this location. Typically, the egg foam is made with pasteurized raw egg, hence, my up-until-now-lifetime hesitation. From the moment I stepped into the store to the time I tried the drink, everything went well for me. The store is big and breezy with an industrial-looking interior. There is limited seating, but I hope that there will be at least one big table in the future? The cashier/drink master extraordinaire was really nice. The drink came out so cute and tasted amazing! Very creamy and not-too-sweet. The coffee profile is pretty much Vietnamese coffee w/ that signature bitterness. But bonus points for the lack of that "sour" coffee aftertaste! Came during their grand opening weekend in the late afternoon, around 4 PM, and the wait wasn't too bad and they still had the giveaway goodies as well! During the grand opening, their drinks were 30% off as well. I got 2 drinks and was able to get a cute capybara pin! I got the: 1) Peach Frostie: -I got this less sweet at 75%. -It's a refreshing peach slushie with some cheese foam at the top. I didn't even realize there was cheese foam until I was almost done with my drinks (woopsies). -Not too sweet and delicious on a super hot afternoon. 2) Dragonfruit Yakult: -I got this less sweet at 75% and less ice. -A bit different from what I'm used to in terms for yakult drinks, it wasn't the cloudy Yakult look that I'm accustomed to seeing but more of a clear purple tea drink with real bits of dragonfruit in it. -It might be due to the fruit itself but bits of it were coagulating with what I'm assuming was the yogurt part. -At first I thought it was a bit too tart and unappealing for my taste, but after I let it sit for awhile and had the ice melt, it was much nicer. Not too sour then. The street parking nearby was a bit fisted and challenging, but we managed to get it to work. The cafe itself is very spacious and I can imagine this would be nice study spot. The decor is minimalistic. I visited Yotea in the morning a little after they opened. They have a shared parking lot located on Earle Ave, but note that the spots are compact. The interior of the store is large and has seating that accommodates small and large groups. The music level was moderate and seems like a great environment to do some work or study. At the register, there is a kiosk that you use to place your order. There were images and descriptions available for the drinks, so that was helpful for ordering. I used the kiosk to place my order and got it within 2 minutes. I ordered the egg coffee, which came with a cookie sealed on top of the lid. The cookie itself was good. The coffee had a large layer of egg on top and Vietnamese coffee at the base. The egg was not too sweet, while the Vietnamese coffee was strong and bitter. After you mix it well, you'll get a good combination that balances each other out. I would say the lid and straw made it difficult to mix, especially as I was driving. Next time I might ask for it to be a little sweeter but it was authentic matcha forsure. Decided to come here and work/read on a whim as I was local. I'm usually very weary about coming to boba shops to get some work done but Yotea turned out to be a great choice! The shop is spacious with a ton of room. There are tables and chairs enough for about 10-12 parties. The noise level is very quiet and makes it very easy to focus and enjoy your drink. Parking can be found on the main street (Garvey) or on the side streets of the plaza. Just be careful about parking in the structure as it's not public parking. You are able to order on a kiosk or with a cashier. I opted in to order on the kiosk to see pictures of the drinks so I could get an idea of what I'm ordering. I ended up with their seasonal drinks; coconut matcha! The coconut water was on the sweeter side but nonetheless it was refreshing. Their matcha was lighter than what I'm used to but it was sweet and tasty. They added coconut shavings as a garnish & I definitely appreciated that. Sorry! I totallt missed the Boba picture, but I was sooooo happy to attend a cupsleeve this past weekend at Yotea, I missed my chance to showcase the Peach Black Tea with Lychee Jelly I ordered. This place is pretty nice to hold these type of events. The space is just right and the variety of teas offered caters to pretty much every person attending. I at least ordered twice. I'm in a love-hate relationship with Yotea, but will no longer support this business. I have always come here for Sweet corn milk, sweet corn latte or pandan milk. I actually love their sweet corn milk. However, 3 previous visits were really bad, and I don't want to come back here any more. My sister ordered the winter melon milk tea on July 29, and they gave her winter melon tea ( we ordered 6 drinks so every drinks were inside of the bag, so I didn't check). On the second visit, I ordered Pandan Milk with crystal boba, it floated on top just like ice so I didn't see it , I asked the guy very nicely if they added the boba, he responded " that's why I give you the boba straw". Ironically, later, he looked at the cup and startled, and then have to confirm with his co-worker if they already added the crystal boba. On the third visit, Aug 8, I came back for my regular drink, sweet corn latte, ordered it so many times already, but after first sip, I already knew they used regular milk instead of sweet corn milk.
