My husband and I tried Yo Tea for the first time on Friday, Nov 14th at around 3 PM. I got the Yo Fruit Tea with light ice, which is filled with slices of orange, lemon, and a small bite of watermelon. It is a four seasons tea mixed with orange juice, lemon juice, and passion fruit syrup. The drink was tasty, not overly sweet (even though I got full sweet, very refreshing and I would definitely be willing to order this again. This time I ordered through Uber Eats and at that time, they had a special BOGO deal so both drinks were $8.35 and was a steal. All in all, I'd be willing to try out more drinks from Yo Tea in the future!
YOTEA is a modern cafe in Rosemead serving up some unique Asian-inspired drinks. To get here, street parking will be your best bet and there is a good amount of it around the shop. Inside, they have a spacious setup with a lot of seating options. For their menu, they have a great selection of different matcha, milk tea, fruit tea, and yakult drink to choose from. Wifey and I opted to try the Sweet Corn Matcha and it was definitely one of the best matchas we have tried recently. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming here. We will be back forsure next time we are in the area!
After hearing about Yotea for so long, I finally stopped by for a visit to try their drinks. There were a few I wanted to try including the Egg Coffee and the corn drinks but I decided on Banana Pudding Matcha Latte. It happened to be BOGO when I went and I had no idea, but I was pleasantly surprised to received two drinks when I went to get my drink when they called my name! The banana flavor was well balanced with the matcha and I love the "pudding" part of the drink, it felt like I was eating dessert while enjoying a drink, I found it really unique from most Banana Matcha Lattes I had. The place is pretty spacious with plenty of seating, a great hangout or work/study spot!
Sesame Matcha Latte at 25% sugar is still sugar overkill. Probably have to go even lower on the sweetness--- no added sugar because the sesame cream or whatever they use is already spiked with sugar. That being said, I popped a straw immediately into the Jasmin Gree Tea to water down the sweetness after taste on my tounge. Much better. Service here is quick, it's a good little alternative to the more crowded Aroma Formosa on Rosemead near Las Tunas, and less hectic than waiting in line at 3Catea or Molly Tea. If you're a quiet person, an introvert, maybe this place is for you. All the INTP, INFP, ISFJ, ISTJ, ISTP, yea this place is for you. Away from Valley Blvd. But the three stars is for the drinks, this being my 1st time here, not a fan of the matcha latte.
My NEW! Favorite Boba Spot in the City of Rosemead! I ordered my self a Pandan Milk Drink and my goodness it was so gooood!!! It's definitely a Must-Try! The service was just phenomenal and efficient and friendly with their customers helping them if they ever need help on what to try out. The ambiance was amazing and cozy because it was at night time and wasn't too crazy there. I would definitely come back here if need be and am thirsty
Came here to do some work & I ordered a sweet corn latte w/ no sugar. It was sooooo yummy, I love corn and the creamy corn top was perfect with my coffee, (5/5) would totally get again! I don't prefer my drinks too sweet so this was great bc I listened to the other reviews of reducing the sugar level bc they typically make it on the sweeter side. My drink came out quick within a few minutes. This place is nice for locking in to do work with outlets where their tables are which is perfect!
I dropped by to check out this place after hearing that their matcha was pretty good, and it definitely didn't disappoint!! I will be coming back to try the rest of their options! I ordered the Matcha Cold Whisk that comes with oat milk, and it was deliciously creamy and so so smooth!! I do wish that I ordered 75% or 50% sweetness considering how intense the sweet cream was, but as for matcha flavor, it wasn't gritty or grassy at all. If you're someone who prefers less sweet, definitely request to tone down the sugar levels. Their interior is spacious and quiet, perfect for a study spot.
Good study cafe in the SGV! There's a lot of tables that are spaced out well, charging outlets, and they'll let you borrow an extension cable if needed. The drinks are just ok. I wouldn't come here just for the drinks. Come for the tables, the WiFi, the chill space to work. Drinks we ordered: Watermelon green tea 50% sweet -- very bland, just good for hydration Lychee green tea 50% sweet-- good sweetness, canned lychees, good to sip on but not amazing you know? Corn coffee-- we didn't like this Previously I've ordered the matcha coconut (that's pretty good) and cookies and creme coffee (VERY strong and sweet) There's a parking lot in the back. It looks like the entrance to a residential apartment but you can park on the ground floor (first floor when you enter) for free.
This spot has a nice, modern interior. They have different seating choices strewn throughout the shop. There is also the choice of street parking or a small indoor parking lot. We got the matcha einspanner. It's yummy, but we did notice there was quite a bit more cream than drinkable liquid/milk. I would come back, but request less cream next time! We ordered with the self-serve kiosk, so we don't have any particular comments on the service.
was skeptical from the bad reviews but it was pretty good in my visit. I got Yo Fruit Tea with 25% sweet on mine but it was still too sweet for me so I would recommend 0% for people who want a bit less sweet in their drinks. They do add a lot of toppings so the drinks look fun and taste good. it IS a bit too pricy imo but the teas were fine. Place is spacy, lots of seating and have free wifi and outlets for charging too. Parking in the back structure.
Great parking spaces, plenty of tables and seating, and great variety of tea overall. Great place to do laptop work or catch up with a friend. One tap monitor machine and one cashier machine. Wax Berry Frostie (50% sweet, mini boba): Honestly, I would consider lowering the sweetness down to 0% or 25% because once the ice melts the sweetness reaches to 100%. Great refreshing berry smooth with a top coating of foam yogurt. Matcha Banana Pudding (50% sweet): Matcha is very light, there's not a lot of the green tea flavor. The banana pudding is also light and fluffy however it's not going sweeten the drink overall because it acts more like topping to eat instead of mix and drink.
This place is great to come and study or get some work done. They have so many seats and tables and outlets throughout. I had their banana matcha and the pudding was good but matcha was not. It was very bland and when mixed it was better but not that much. We also tried the coconut matcha which was just okay. I would probably try a different drink next time. Customer service was nice and friendly.
Spacious tea store with street parking and a parking garage in the back. Decided to try this place for the matcha but the matcha quality here isn't the best. Lots of drinks on the menu and they are promoting a new ceremonial matcha series. Can see them whisking matching in the back but has a bitterness I didn't like on my first sips. Once mixed the other flavors took over the drink. The sweet corn matcha had a fresh corn flavor which was delicious and didn't taste like the artificial corn. The banana pudding matcha had good banana flavor and pudding consistency. The pandan flavoring was too strong. Quiet place and plenty of seating so great for a study place. Drinks had decent syrups and flavoring but matcha was not good. They have a large selection for their menu.
5 stars I finally mustered up the courage to try Egg Coffee ($5.50) for the first time at this location. Typically, the egg foam is made with pasteurized raw egg, hence, my up-until-now-lifetime hesitation. From the moment I stepped into the store to the time I tried the drink, everything went well for me. The store is big and breezy with an industrial-looking interior. There is limited seating, but I hope that there will be at least one big table in the future? The cashier/drink master extraordinaire was really nice. The drink came out so cute and tasted amazing! Very creamy and not-too-sweet. The coffee profile is pretty much Vietnamese coffee w/ that signature bitterness. But bonus points for the lack of that "sour" coffee aftertaste! It was one of the best coffee experiences I've had in a while. I can't vouch for other drinks, but the egg coffee impressed me enough to keep coming back. read more
Came during their grand opening weekend in the late afternoon, around 4 PM, and the wait wasn't too bad and they still had the giveaway goodies as well! During the grand opening, their drinks were 30% off as well. I got 2 drinks and was able to get a cute capybara pin! I got the: 1) Peach Frostie: -I got this less sweet at 75%. -It's a refreshing peach slushie with some cheese foam at the top. I didn't even realize there was cheese foam until I was almost done with my drinks (woopsies). -Not too sweet and delicious on a super hot afternoon. 2) Dragonfruit Yakult: -I got this less sweet at 75% and less ice. -A bit different from what I'm used to in terms for yakult drinks, it wasn't the cloudy Yakult look that I'm accustomed to seeing but more of a clear purple tea drink with real bits of dragonfruit in it. -It might be due to the fruit itself but bits of it were coagulating with what I'm assuming was the yogurt part. -At first I thought it was a bit too tart and unappealing for my taste, but after I let it sit for awhile and had the ice melt, it was much nicer. Not too sour then. The street parking nearby was a bit fisted and challenging, but we managed to get it to work. The cafe itself is very spacious and I can imagine this would be nice study spot. The decor is minimalistic. I'm not sure if they're going to keep incorporating capybaras into their theming or if it's just a one off thing for their grand opening (please keep the capybara theme lol). read more
One of my favorite flavor combinations of all time is pandan + matcha, so I was hoping to find a drink with that here. They didn't have anything on the menu specifically like that, so they made me a pandan milk drink with the matcha cheese cream on top. The service was really friendly and accommodating to help me choose a drink that fit the criteria! Like others, I thought that the pandan flavoring tasted very artificial and wasn't too good in my opinion, but I really liked the matcha cheese cream. I'd definitely try something different on their menu next time. Worked here for a while, it was a perfect balance of quiet and bustling for me, with good wifi and outlets. read more
I really love this place because it reminds me of Malaysian boba shops. Their menu has so many cool items such as egg coffee, pandan milk tea, and the trending coconut matcha cloud. Looking for a study spot with affordable and high quality drinks? This is it! My friends and I love YoTea because of the range of drinks, $5-5.90 cost, and kind service! The staff are very sweet and make the drinks timely. I had to try their egg coffee, honestly my first time trying this, and I loved it! The cup opens so you can dip the complimentary biscuits in. It's delicious! My friends also liked their rich and not-super-sweet fruit teas! I'd also recommend trying their frostie series! They also have free wifi, nice lounge chairs that blend with their black minimalistic aesthetic. Perfect for friends that love coffee and boba! read more

AMAZING place to get work done, meet up with friends, or grab a quick drink. Service: The cashier helping me was so patient and friendly- definitely set the tone for my experience before I even got my drink! As per usual, I was struggling with what to order He must've noticed because he offered some much needed advice both on fruit and milk teas. We also had a bit of fun trying to figure out which kpop group was having a cupsleeve event from the flyer on the counter. Alas, we didn't figure it out, but the friendly conversation was worth the work Drinks: In the end, I decided on the Peach Green Tea and I'm so glad I did. I usually tend to order the creamier drinks so when I do crave a lighter, fruit based tea, it's always a gamble if I like it or not. This Peach tea had ACTUAL peach slices so there was no questioning the freshness and quality. It was perfectly balanced and not too sweet. I'm pretty adventurous with my food/drinks, but if I come back I'm DEFINITELY getting this again! Ambience: With a minimalist interior and a soft kr&b playlist filling in the background, this spot is a great for focusing on work or projects. I was actually meeting up with a friend here, but brought my laptop to do some work beforehand. Went on a Sunday afternoon 5pm ish. The ambiance was nice when I first walk in. This place is definitely nice and comfortable to work and hang out with friends. We ordered egg coffee and matcha coffee. We both liked them very much. I think with this quality $5.50 was cheap. I hope they don't raise their price haha. read more
I visited Yotea in the morning a little after they opened. They have a shared parking lot located on Earle Ave, but note that the spots are compact. The interior of the store is large and has seating that accommodates small and large groups. The music level was moderate and seems like a great environment to do some work or study. At the register, there is a kiosk that you use to place your order. There were images and descriptions available for the drinks, so that was helpful for ordering. I used the kiosk to place my order and got it within 2 minutes. I ordered the egg coffee, which came with a cookie sealed on top of the lid. The cookie itself was good. The coffee had a large layer of egg on top and Vietnamese coffee at the base. The egg was not too sweet, while the Vietnamese coffee was strong and bitter. After you mix it well, you'll get a good combination that balances each other out. I would say the lid and straw made it difficult to mix, especially as I was driving. Did not enjoy our drinks. We had high hopes for this place considering the logo was so cute :( They offer a menu with a good range of options to pick from, but we don't recommend getting their fruit teas. Maybe the other items on the menu are better, but we didn't get a chance to try them. The prices are also pretty average though and not too crazy compared to other boba shops. There's only 1 size for each type of drink which makes it pretty easy to order. They also have some pastries in the glass window like croissants and buns. * Longan Green Tea: 6/10 - added lime slices makes it sour and bitter * Mango Green Tea: 5/10 - super sour The workers were friendly and the interior is super spacious. They have seating to do some studying and more casual seating for hanging out. There's also some free stickers available at the pick-up counter! My sister and I were able to find a parking spot on the street, but I think there's also a parking garage. Good service, but drinks were disappointing. read more
Yotea, Rosemead Coffee is solid--robust flavor, though a bit small for $6. Still, I'd get it again. The space is roomy, but seating isn't the most comfortable with limited cushioned chairs. Not the best study spot since there are no public restrooms. read more

The people who work here are very nice. Unfortunately, I didn't love the taste of the coffee in the iced egg coffee. It was too bitter and had a slight burnt taste to it which actually might be how they meant for it to taste. I didn't find the coffee palatable until the last 30% of it when I was able to really get a good and proportional mix between the egg topping (which is delicious) and the coffee. I did love the biscotti thins that came with the drink. A nice touch. read more
Saw this online by someone on SGV eats so decided to "support the young entrepreneur" as recommended. The store has plenty of street parking in front and garage parking behind. Inside is roomy with tables. Counter has option to order on iPad or with helpful friendly staff. The egg coffee: definitely a strong coffee as described. I asked less ice but like Vietnamese ice coffee- it needs ice unless you want the real strong coffee taste. I loved it! Chocolate Almond Croissant: I was craving something sweet and this looked great. I asked if it was filled and the girl told me no. But I was pleasantly surprised! Excellent coffee! I was looking for a place with vietnamese coffee in San Gabriel and stumbled upon Yotea. Ordered the coconut coffee and the sweet corn matcha. Coconut coffee came with a scoop of coconut cream which paired well with the vietnamese coffee. (Note: coffee is strong, which imo is a great thing) What really surprised me was the sweet corn matcha. I had another place in LA where the same drink was very syrup and artificial. Here, it tastes very refreshing and pairs well with the matcha. Best of all, the prices here are still very reasonable compared to some other places. Ambience is cute, tons of students studying. Cashiers were nice as well. I will definitely be back to try the egg coffee, the waxberry, the bananana matcha/etc. Highly recommend! read more

Got the matcha corn latte. Surprisingly more savory than sweet for the corn portion. Almost like drinking a cold corn soup. I like corn drinks so I didn't mind it but it did take some getting used to. Egg Vietnamese iced coffee was a solid choice. Definitely felt very caffeinated towards the end of the drink. Came during the Grand Opening weekend! They had a deal where when you buy X number of drinks, you can get a gift and the drinks were all 30% off! I decided to buy two drinks and got cute capybara pins with it. This newly boba shop is located in Rosemead, in the same area as some apartment complexes. As such, parking is mainly street parking or at a park nearby. The interior is still pretty empty as they just opened but the logo is cute. I ordered the following items: 1) Matcha Vietnamese Coffee: 8/10 Matcha game was strong here- I loved the cream on top and it was a good combination to balance out the strength of Vietnamese coffee. 2) Ube Vietnamese Coffee: 6/10 Didn't really like this drink- it tasted more like taro perhaps? Wasn't able to taste the Ube that well. I'm not an avid coffee drinker but I didn't think the Vietnamese coffee was anything out of the ordinary besides it being very strong coffee. I did think they were quite generous with the cream foam as it was roughly 1/3 of my drink which was nice. The line was LONG -- came around 10:20 AM and waited for two hours in order to get my two drinks. Hopefully as time goes on, they can fix their long waiting times as that can deter customers from wanting to check this place out. read more
Line was consistently long during grand opening. We were informed that the drinks would take 30-40 mins - which was fine with us. The store is spacious and definitely had more room for tables. There was a parking lot behind the store. SO THE DRINKS: Mango green tea - ok but more tart than expected. Neon green pandan milk - nope for me because too artificial. Green tea and earl grey with cream top was good. Matcha coffee was delicious but the coffee is super strong robusta. Similar to Vietnamese coffee. Get ready for palpitations if you're not used to strong coffee. I'll be coming back for more of their coffee drinks for sure! read more

Came on their grand opening day (April 27) and it was pretty busy! I ordered 2 drinks - Ube Coffee and Pandan Milk Drink, both regular sweet & ice. Given that it was grand opening and promotions were going on, I expected a long wait for 2 drinks (waited 35 minutes). Ube Coffee - At first I was a bit confused with this drink because when I ordered it, on the menu it says Taro Coffee, but the cashier told me it was Ube Coffee, which I was okay. I tried the ube foam by itself, but to me it tasted like taro, and the color wasn't as deep purple as ube is typically. The coffee below the foam is a Vietnamese coffee, and that was good. Mixed together, unfortunately the ube foam gets lost as the coffee overpowers it. Though, the drink was also not too sweet at normal sweetness, which I appreciated. Pandan Milk Drink - This drink is visually appealing. At first sip, I felt a bit overwhelmed with too much pandan flavor, but got used to it as I kept drinking it. I can imagine this being a refreshing drink in the summer. It also was not too sweet at normal sweetness. From both drinks, I definitely preferred the Pandan Milk Drink way more. The entire shop is very spacious and has seats on the sides. I did notice the benches against the wall covering a portion of outlets, so I don't imagine this place being an ideal study spot if you need outlets. I would definitely give this spot another try in the future to taste the other drinks! read more

I ordered banana pudding matcha latte from here! First time trying this drink and they did a great job. I got it with regular sweetness and with house milk. Next time I might ask for it to be a little sweeter but it was authentic matcha forsure. House milk made the matcha pretty thin, so next time I'd try a different milk because I like my May has creamy. But with the topping of banana pudding it was a nice balance. Service: 10/10 my order came out very quickly Portions: 10/10, the helper gave me a lot of banana pudding on my matcha and price point is great! Less than 6$ is def worth it. Ambiance: 9/10 lighting is a little bit dim in the evening but people seem to like it as I saw people studying. read more

I came to try the egg coffee and was surprised that it comes with a mini biscotti. Very thoughtful! The coffee itself was just right and each sip with a creaminess of the egg on top. The price is also very reasonable compared to other coffee shops in the area. Inside Yotea is quite spacious with a tall ceiling. I came on a Saturday afternoon and found street parking right out front. Would love to come back to try other flavors like the Pandan coffee. read more
Decided to come here and work/read on a whim as I was local. I'm usually very weary about coming to boba shops to get some work done but Yotea turned out to be a great choice! The shop is spacious with a ton of room. There are tables and chairs enough for about 10-12 parties. The noise level is very quiet and makes it very easy to focus and enjoy your drink. Parking can be found on the main street (Garvey) or on the side streets of the plaza. Just be careful about parking in the structure as it's not public parking. You are able to order on a kiosk or with a cashier. I opted in to order on the kiosk to see pictures of the drinks so I could get an idea of what I'm ordering. I ended up with their seasonal drinks; coconut matcha! The coconut water was on the sweeter side but nonetheless it was refreshing. Their matcha was lighter than what I'm used to but it was sweet and tasty. They added coconut shavings as a garnish & I definitely appreciated that. Overall, a great experience and I would recommend it to others if they wanted to sit down at a cafe to get that productivity going! read more

I'm in a love-hate relationship with Yotea, but will no longer support this business. I have always come here for Sweet corn milk, sweet corn latte or pandan milk. I actually love their sweet corn milk. However, 3 previous visits were really bad, and I don't want to come back here any more. My sister ordered the winter melon milk tea on July 29, and they gave her winter melon tea ( we ordered 6 drinks so every drinks were inside of the bag, so I didn't check). On the second visit, I ordered Pandan Milk with crystal boba, it floated on top just like ice so I didn't see it , I asked the guy very nicely if they added the boba, he responded " that's why I give you the boba straw". Ironically, later, he looked at the cup and startled, and then have to confirm with his co-worker if they already added the crystal boba. On the third visit, Aug 8, I came back for my regular drink, sweet corn latte, ordered it so many times already, but after first sip, I already knew they used regular milk instead of sweet corn milk. Very disappointed. There was no line and not even in rush hour, but they kept messing up my orders. read more

this spot is definitely a new favorite of mine! i love the drink selections, and the packaging and decoration in here is so cute. the service here is amazing! i wanted a milk substitution and the employee was kind enough to offer an alternative sweetened with condensed milk. the drink was the perfect level of sweetness for me thai green milk tea - the flavor is so refreshing, and i added golden boba, which was one of the softest and chewy boba i've had i will likely be back and hope to try more of their unique drinks! read more
The drinks here sounded and looked really cool but when we got our 4 drinks, they were all kind of sour? I got it sweetened slightly after tasting it, which did make it better, but the coffee wasn't what I was expecting. The staff was really nice about this, they even asked me again to make sure I was satisfied with my drink. Not sure if I'll be back to try something else but I might since I've heard good things! read more
