Showed up and it was a 40 min wait for to go orders so I came back the next week. Another 30 min wait but I ordered anyway. Came back 45 min later and they didn't even have my food ticket. I waited another 20 min for my food. I got a funnel cake, deep fried Oreos, and egg avocado and cheese "sammie" with chipotle mayo. I ordered a Diet Coke because I was so thirsty waiting over an hour for my food which they comped which was nice. They also gave me another free drink when I left so I do appreciate them making it right by offering the free drinks for my wait. They were very apologetic and so when I left I really wasn't mad! It sounds like they are super busy which means good food and hopefully as they progress the service becomes spot on to match the great food. The egg cheese avocado Sammie was fire. Checked out this cute joint on a Sunday morning. You order at the counter, and then it is brought to your table. There were a ton of to- go orders being picked up, and we still got our food fairly quickly! My husband had pancakes and turkey sausage, and ate it all up! The sausage was snappy and juicy - he really liked it! I almost always go for a breakfast sammie... and this one did not disappoint! Food is absolutely delicious. At this place, you'll order at the counter and seat yourself. Your food will be served to you. I had the catfish and eggs and loved it. Catfish was seasoned and deep friend. My partner ate every bite of his chicken and waffle. The place has cute drinks and teas. I didn't see any alcohol on the menu. I had the unicorn lemonade, their twist on a lavender lemonade. The play a mix of R&B while you eat. I will warn that parking is a struggle. Luckily, we found a spot in the front. After looking for a Black-owned cafe for breakfast, Yonder was one of the listing. Got there before I imagine the crowd came. Ordered chicken and waffles and the peach tea. They get a nod for the chicken and waffles. The chicken was crispy and seasoned nicely without them going gourmet and messing up the recipe. Devoured the waffles that came topped with whipped cream and strawberries. Didn't add syrup. Didn't need any. And the peach tea that came with orange slice and strawberries hit the spot. Food wasn't fancy, but it tasted good. Service was cool, which seems to be a lost art in establishments that deal in hospitality and service. Yonder made my return list because I'll definitely go back to try some other menu items whenever I go back to Cleveland. read more

I ordered take-out from Yonder and was a little disappointed to be honest. I am not picky when it comes to breakfast sandwiches, but the Avocado, Egg, and Cheese sandwich left a lot to be desired. Sandwich: -Avocado was extremely hard and there was not much of it -Bread was extremely greasy -Sauce was super salty -Egg was rubbery I also ordered the smashed potatoes, which I would say were loosely "smashed." They were seasoned well though, which did help. Overall I think there are some general improvements to food quality that could be made to make the eating experience better, but I'd be willing to try eating here again, maybe the in-store experience is better? read more

I live right around the corner from this place so I decided to give it a try. I got the chicken and waffles... I was on the fence of giving it three stars or four. It didn't take me long to pick up my food. My waffle had good flavor, but it didn't have much crunch like it had been sitting. The chicken wings have really good flavor and crunch. Yonder is a newer restaurant and great addition to CLE! I had actually found out about it from a CLE Instagram account. I saw that they had Fruity Pebbles French Toast. With Fruity Pebs being my favorite cereal, I knew I had to try it out. So my sister and I went on a Monday morning. We found the staff to be so friendly and helpful. We both ordered passionfruit iced tea in addition to the French toast, eggs and bacon. I really enjoyed my breakfast! It was so hearty and flavorful and everything Fruity Pebbles French Toast should be. But the surprising game-changer for me was the tea! I loved iced tea and this is honestly some of the best iced tea I've ever had! It was so good, my sister and I still talk about it often. We even went back a month or so later to ensure my brother-in-law could experience it as well. So this is a newer fave for breakfast in CLE. The only two downsides are that their menu isn't really that extensive. We thought about taking our nieces and nephews here once but given the limited menu, we felt they wouldn't all end up with something they'd like. So hopefully they'll expand their menu soon. Also, they give you paper plates and disposable silverware. I'm assuming it's a cost thing, but this place is nice enough (and the food very good!) that deserves a bit of a more elevated dining experience with full dish-ware, silverware, etc. But that may just be a personal preference I have when I'm dining out. Situated right next to the train tracks, the ambiance is warm and inviting as you walk in. They have a small limited bar as well as menus, which I loved as it doesn't overwhelm. Went for breakfast at 9am, tried to call in my order but no one answered the phones. Walked in and one person was sitting waiting on her food. It was one person at the register. But while I was waiting I did the cashier answer the phone. I was told a 15min wait and the food was fresh and hot in 15mins. Been seeing this place for about 6 months and finally had the opportunity to stop in. All kinds of folks come through this establishment as it's right before you hit Midtown. There are car repair shops and just a nice location before Asiatown. It's called Yonder Vibes & Brunch. Keep in mind, it's a deli style of ordering and they call your name when your order is ready. I came on a Sunday, Father's Day June 2021 and was surprised that it wasn't busier; however, this is not fast food so a wait was to be expected. And as I waited folks came in to pick up orders or place orders. Even if you dine in, you order at the register. There was only 1 Lady who was pleasant enough. different. Sure if that is their daily routine or if folks called out...anyway, my wait wasn't long. Probably because I was acting like a tourist raking pictures and starting my Yelp review, I did not notice the time but I know less than 15 mins. I didnt want a heavy breakfast so I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Applewood bacon, caramelized onions, scrambled eggs, cheese, chives and Chipotle Mayo. I did not get chives and it was still a party in my mouth! That Chipotle Mayo hit different. And Texas buttered grilled toast Honey. I could have just ate that. I also ordered OJ so my total came to $10. They have Ms. Butterworth syrup THIS ALONE has my heart OKURRR!!! I did not see anyone being upset about their food so I deem it a success all around. What a wonderful find! The Yonder sandwich was PACKED with scrambled eggs along with a healthy serving of bacon and avocado. Everything was sandwiched in between two seasoned, buttery pieces of toast, yum~ It might look small, but I really struggled to finish the sandwich because of the amount of stuff inside. I didn't have the opportunity to try their drinks because I had errands to run afterwards, but I was definitely giving the drinks a strong side eye, they were so beautifully colored! I did not eat the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich but my brother said it was amazing. He ate it within 5 minutes of us getting our food and silently ate and enjoyed it. The croissant beignets are amazing. They taste like fried pancakes. More dessert like, they weren't too greasy and they weren't over-powdered. And shareable for at least 3-4 people so worth the price as well. The French toast was great ! Perfect amount of crisp and nothing was overbearing. There weren't too many pecans, which was a plus, but a good amount of caramel sauce which is what made me get them. I do wish there were more bananas. The egg portion is particularly small, but I firmly don't believe I needed anymore eggs because I was full before I finished my first french toast. The turkey sausage was also good. The folks behind this great little spot took an old restaurant that has an amazing history and completely remade it. The spot looks cozy and up to date. The original tin ceiling and wood floors remain to make it more interesting. A perfect rehab! We didn't eat inside, despite the appealing atmosphere. Because of COVID, we took the food to the lakefront park. It traveled well! We ordered a few breakfast sandwiches (sammies) sausage and avocado. That was combined with some excellent smashed potatoes. All were nicely seasoned and very tasty. Some strong pros and cons do this place. I love that it's Black-owned, of course, and the venue is quite cute and cozy overall. I enjoyed my food but the coffee was truly insufferable. Like, could not be consumed. You don't need to specialize in every kind of latte but for a brunch spot, a solid cup of coffee should be a given. It was burnt and no amount of cream/milk/sweetener could make it salvageable. Yikes. Besides the coffee, my only other gripe was the service. My friend ordered a side of potatoes/home fries with her meal. The kitchen clearly forgot or maybe the message never got delivered but, either way, when other full orders started to come out of the kitchen after hers we knew something was wrong. Since the line was long, she proceeded to eat the rest of her meal and check in with the cashier when it was time for us to go. He quickly pointed to a sign that said no refunds and gave her the option to wait another 5-10 minutes for something she already ordered. I get no refunds being a thing for small businesses, especially new ones, but there's a thin line between that and not owning up to your mistakes and outright inconveniencing customers. I had such a nice experience at Yonder! The parking there is a little funky, but my friend and myself did secure spots on the side of the street. When you go in, you basically order at the counter and seat yourself. The wait wasn't long (Sunday around 11:45am) and we got a nice booth by the window. I got a spiked unicorn drink which was 10/10 and the Oreo waffles with bacon & eggs and it was amazing!!! So flavorful oh my goodness! My friend got the chicken and waffles and he immediately gasped when he tasted the chicken, saying it was so flavorful and seasoned so well! We both had a nice time, no complaints.
