The biscuit was perfectly buttery, and it was covered in a rich, flavorful mushroom gravy and came with scrambled eggs. It was filling but somehow not too heavy. I licked my plate clean. The pancake was also wonderful. It was topped with a thin layer of rhubarb jam that brought a nice tartness along with a dollop of sorghum butter and whipped cream, and served with Ohio maple syrup on the side. I could have easily had a whole stack of the pancakes. The staff was friendly, and though the place was busy, the service was efficient. Excited to come here again! We were visiting Cleveland for the weekend and stopped by Juneberry on a whim not knowing the fare aside from yummy looking content on Instagram. Juneberry was an absolute delight and totally worth a 40 minute wait. We arrived around 10 am on a Saturday and it was busy- lots of people standing outside , as there is no room for waiting inside. They allow you to track your place in line so we popped over to a friends apartment and got back in plenty of time. You can also walk around and check out some nearby shops and other restaurants to add to your CLE bucket list. We did notice that around 11:30 when we left, there was no line. Maybe that's the sweet spot for next time? Anyway, we had the bar table at the window, which wasn't ideal. It was hard to converse and it got pretty warm. But it's a small place and we didn't want to wait for a table. Once seated, the service moves quite quickly. We were greeted and served water immediately. Two of us order Bloody Mary's and we both loved ours. The mix had great flavor and spices, but not too spicy to enjoy. A good handful of olives too. Yum. Husband ordered two delicious mimosas. We started with cheddar and chive biscuits which were tender and flaky. Served with a seasonal jam which was yummy. I could have eaten 3 more. An order is two large biscuits. I got the French toast which I forgot to photograph, but they were so good. I'll go ahead and say it- maybe the best FT I've ever had. Fluffy bread, no sog, with a gentle crispy edge. It was topped with the seasonal jam and homemade whipped topping. It was so delicious and perfect. I barely touched the side of syrup. I also added a side of bacon- for $5 you get 4 generously sized thick slices of delicious bacon. Totally worth it. Seasonal pancakes were also a hit. Lemon zest and blueberries in the batter- blueberry raspberry syrup to top. They were delicious and fluffy. The breakfast sandwich looked good too. Linda messy, dripping with a garlic maybe Chipotle flavored sauce? Generous portion. We were all so pleased with our meals, and bellies full to happiness. We opted not to order a dessert because we were full but our waiter brought out a complimentary cherry chocolate moose because of the anniversary celebration. Very chic and bohemian. Tucked away in the Tremont community there are some great stores to visit to fill the 1-2hr wait for a table. Restaurant is small so expect it to be a bit cramped. It was clean, and the hostess and female waitresses are very friendly. We always split food to try more locations in the same day and we split the homemade cheddar and chive biscuit, breakfast burrito and loaded griddled potatoes with bacon and cheese. The food took about an hour to arrive which normally isn't that bad for a heavy trafficked restaurant but it arrived cold. None of the food was hot, warm at best, the eggs on top of the burrito were cold so the yoke didn't run, seasoning was a hit much especially with the parsley and the potatoes were too hard to eat. The flavors in the potatoes and biscuit were great, if they were warm. But while we could find most of the employees in the place, our server was flirting with the other patrons at the bar most of our meal so getting refills and asking why the food was cold didn't come until we'd invested 2hr into this location and we just paid/left instead of staying to criticize. I was lucky to visit on a random Thursday in May 2023 after a workout. I didn't have work on this day so I was able to visit in the early afternoon (their hours of operation back then was limited and still is). They are currently open for brunch, as of May 2024, from Sunday - Thursday from 8am to 2pm. According to their website, they have dinner hours starting soon. I sat at the bar in May 2023 and ordered the JUNEBERRY BREAKFAST ($14) which consists of scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, potatoes, and two types of spreads. I think I got a glass of water too. Everything tasted delicious especially the eggs and bacon. One of the spreads, butter I believe, had a great flavour. I forgot what was used to make it but it had maybe a herb in it. Their website describes the breakfast as: "2 eggs scrambled or crispy fried up*, choice of bacon or sausage, choice of potatoes, fruit or salad, Leavened Bakery wheat toast with butter & jam." Once they have more favourable hours, I'll be back. I want to try their pancakes. I'm normally at work when they are open but I hope to visit on a Saturday or Sunday one day with some friends. Definitely worth the wait!!! No reservations taken but the tables move quickly and there is much to do in Lorain to keep the time moving quickly. We were lucky and got a seat at the window bar floor people watching... in the middle of winter there is not much room to keep your coat at your seat but there is a coat rack in the back close to the restrooms... love the wall paper in the women's bathroom.... We have been big fans of Juneberry, as evidenced by our previous review. Went on a Friday morning at the end of March. Had a couple coffees ($4.50 each), the biscuit and gravy (just their regular mushroom gravy for $16), a side of eggs for $4 and the French Toast ($16). Overall the food remains very good. For whatever reason, the total cost really got to us today - $50 before tip. We really felt this was no where near a $50 breakfast. The biscuit/gravy is good but it is just 1 biscuit (although that biscuit is sensational). The french toast was good and represented the sweet component we were seeking with our meals. Unfortunately when we got home, I found myself quickly rummaging around in the 'fridge as I was still hungry. It's so small in there that I commented that one main aisle is really something as patrons are getting up and down (restrooms, taking phone calls, coming, going, meeting friends) meanwhile the wait staff are trying to get customers their food to their tables. A wait staff member was leaning over to the table next to us to take their order and their wet rag in their back pocket was up against our table. Just not impressive for a $50 breakfast. In addition, we had to ask multiple times for coffee refills. Unfortunately, even though the food is very good, I just don't see us retuning for quite some time. In 2025, it is just crazy that a place so small doesn't utilize a scheduling app to save the good citizens of Cleveland their time. You cannot make a reservation online or over the phone. You must show up, put your name on an electronic list, and putz around for Lord knows how long for absolutely no reason, except perhaps to dwell upon how business was done in 1995. You use an app to text/call everyone when it is their turn in line. What difference does it make if they personally enter their info instead of you? It would save many people two trips. If you value your customers but don't value their time, how much do you really value them? You claimed you do it to keep the experience "personal." Entering people's name & number on a iPad without asking them about their day or where they're from really isn't personal. It's just an inefficient use of human labor. Give me a break! No!
