We arrived about 10 minutes after they opened so we had the whole place to ourselves for about an hour. Our waitress was really nice and gave good recommendations based off what we told her we liked. The decor gives a cozy vibe and it's a great spot for small groups or intimate dates. The waitress gave us our space to gab and only came around when she thought we needed refills, which of course, we always need to keep the wine flowing during friend time!

I stood at the bar for 30 minutes waiting for a drink a few visits ago while the bartenders took shots with other guests and got absolutely trashed while I was waiting to be served to the point that other patrons at the bar were asking me if I needed them to get the bartenders attention to make my drink, meanwhile the staff was avoiding eye contact and refusing to acknowledge me. tonight at 9:30 they came up to my table and told us it was last call (according to google this bar closes at 12) and brought us our checks. we paid cash and they didn't bring us change- assuming you're getting tipped 66% on a table you refused to wait on is insane and I had to go inside and ask for both mine and my sisters change where I was met with eye rolls and dirty looks from the girl with the braid who had been giving us dirty looks all night. this bar is convenient for me and my sister to meet and catch up each week and to be met with such blatant disrespect is beyond disappointing. closing the bar early so you can have a private party with your friends is not an acceptable reason to kick other patrons out and it has happened times before. we will not be returning, which is disappointing to both of us.

It was already a humid day, and the bugs were outside as well so that was a no win situation. The bugs were constantly flying in our faces and around our drinks and food. The food was really good but the service was poor. Everything took way too long. And again while everybody was pretty friendly, that was no excuse for the slow service. We ordered the chips and salsa appetizer and it came with not enough chips for four people. We asked our server for more chips and it took 20 minutes for the chips to come out. It was so long that we had our main entries in front already. I told the Server there was no need because now we had our food. We just got a weird look and she walked away. It took us two hours to eat our meal because of the slow service. That being said, we won't return. The flying bugs were the main problem, the service secondary.

The crowd ranges from busy to minimal and we received pretty good service both times. It can be kind of difficult because there are typically 10 of us so I think we typically have to wait a bit, but they do a pretty good job handling us. This place is very divey but still enjoyable. They have an assortment of vintage hanging lamps above the tables and that is my favorite detail. They have had some kind of music going on every time that we go, which I think would be fun if we weren't there for book club. I definitely want to come back here a time when I'm not discussing a book lol but the music is never too loud that we can't have a conversation. We are always here for happy hour and they have some great options. I always end up getting the $5 wine. They also make an excellent girl dinner with their house fries (basically Parmesan truffle fries) and chicken caesar salad. They have two bars and a small stage for bands, etc. The real surprise was the food. We just got a few things to snack on and couldn't stop. The sweet chili fried cauliflower was absolutely delicious. Probably one of the best fried cauliflowers that I've had in a long time. It was super crunchy with just the right amount of sauce. It was not soggy at all. We also got the popcorn. I forgot what the seasoning on it was, but it was addictive. Last we got some truffle Parmesan fries. They came with two sauces, one was a spicy mayo and the other I can't remember. Both sauces were great to dip the fries in and the large Parmesan pieces were a delight. Definitely a cool place in Lakewood to host an event or see a show.
