My book club has had a few of our recent monthly meet ups at Wine Dive, and have decided to make this our winter meeting location. The crowd ranges from busy to minimal and we received pretty good service both times. It can be kind of difficult because there are typically 10 of us so I think we typically have to wait a bit, but they do a pretty good job handling us. This place is very divey but still enjoyable. They have an assortment of vintage hanging lamps above the tables and that is my favorite detail. They have had some kind of music going on every time that we go, which I think would be fun if we weren't there for book club. I definitely want to come back here a time when I'm not discussing a book lol but the music is never too loud that we can't have a conversation. We are always here for happy hour and they have some great options. I always end up getting the $5 wine. They also make an excellent girl dinner with their house fries (basically Parmesan truffle fries) and chicken caesar salad. I have gotten this every time and I will continue to get it because it is perfect. I definitely suggest Wine Dive if you're looking for a fun easy place to go for happy hour! read more

Came to Wine Dive for an adult bingo night and I was pleasantly surprised. Really I had no idea what to expect, but it's kind of a more mature dive bar if that makes sense. A little elevated, but still a dive. They have a large wine list, including bottles, wine by the glass, and some draft wines. The place is pretty spacious. I believe it encompasses the old El Carnicero restaurant and another bar that must have been next door. Seems like that took down a wall to make a really big spot. They have two bars and a small stage for bands, etc. The real surprise was the food. We just got a few things to snack on and couldn't stop. The sweet chili fried cauliflower was absolutely delicious. Probably one of the best fried cauliflowers that I've had in a long time. It was super crunchy with just the right amount of sauce. It was not soggy at all. We also got the popcorn. I forgot what the seasoning on it was, but it was addictive. Last we got some truffle Parmesan fries. They came with two sauces, one was a spicy mayo and the other I can't remember. Both sauces were great to dip the fries in and the large Parmesan pieces were a delight. Definitely a cool place in Lakewood to host an event or see a show. read more

Decided to stop into Wine Dive and try out their dinner menu! It was so delicious and not incredibly busy (I've heard it can get packed at night). Erini took such great care of us, provided meal options & drinks that were delicious! You can't go wrong with the cauliflower bites, they were so crispy! We also enjoyed the fried with the dipping sauces. They also had keno which was an added bonus for the person I came with. Excited to come back at try more menu items. read more

Such a cute new place to try (: me and my friends came for a girls night and this was a great place!! Previously a Mexican restaurant, this new dive bar decided to focus on the wine aspect!! They have bottled wine, wine by the glass, and yes... DRAFT WINE!!!! They also have lots of options for food!!! They don't have a specific appetizer section, but we decided to share the chicken skins (kinda a chicharrón)!!! They were perfectly crunch! So good on their own but we got ranch to dip them in and they were even better!!! It was the perfect dish to share! My friends got the Hot Italian... I was lucky enough they let be get a bite and it was yummy!! The typical Italian sub you could get anywhere, paired with some fries!!! A good option to try!! I got the Wine Dive Burger!! It has two patties, and extra bun in the middle, and Brie as the cheese!!! IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!! The fig jam and onions made this burger top tier!! I will definitely be back to get this burger again!! I'm so happy this bar reopened into this cute little wine bar!! Definitely a cute date night or a girls night like we did!! read more

I came in on a weekend night and it had a really fun vibe. There were lots of people and good music. There is a lot of space to stand and sit. I did not eat there, but got a good deal on drinks. Bartenders were friendly and quick to serve. read more

We went during burger night (monday!) it was $15 for a drink, burger, and fries. They give you a good amount of fries and the burger was double bunned, I had plenty of food and took 1/3 of the burger and fries as leftovers. The old fashioned was very yummy, I'm quite picky with my old fashioneds. The service was awesome! You seat yourself, we sat at the bar, and the bartender was very attentive and kind. The other bartender who wasn't serving us, talked to us, made jokes, gave us a taste of some free onion rings, really friendly vibes going on. The place is quite big, it has two bars, one large that curves through two different rooms. Plenty of table seating, looks like there's a small stage for potential live music/comedy/events. It has plenty of large TVs displaying whatever games are on. For the price and quick/kind service, it was a great time! We also got a bottle of wine, I'd like to try more of their wine selection but I do very much appreciate a big wine list in a more dive bar type of atmosphere. Great new spot from Dan Deagan, bringing back some of the vibes of the late, great Deagan's in downtown Lakewood (RIP). Wine Dive is a huge space with an expansive drink menu that includes on-tap beers AND wines, along with specialty cocktails. The food menu is a level up from standard casual bar food but still skews unhealthy; I'd love to see a few more not-fried and not-meat options, but overall, it's a great spot, and everything I've ever ordered has been delicious. I especially love it for a casual brunch: Go for the breakfast sandwich on a homemade biscuit or the Panko-breaded French toast sticks. Service is great when it's slow and a little bit more hit-or-miss when it's busy, so YMMV depending on when you go. But it's always a good place for a hang! read more

I seldom leave bad reviews, but after the experience my girlfriend and I had at this bar, I feel compelled to share. We visited for Taco Tuesday happy hour, and it was a quiet, relaxed evening with a very chill crowd. The vibe was low-key, and we decided to play some music on the TouchTunes jukebox to add to the atmosphere. The songs we queued were a mix of one being Subtronics, EDM and My Neck, My back to add some lightheartedness. I personally listen to EDM but played the other song as a fun/funny song to play. However, our evening took a sharp turn when the bartender--who sported a handlebar mustache curled at the tips and glasses--approached us after the second song finished. Without a hint of humor or any sense of lightheartedness, he told us, "If you play one more dumb-ass song, I'm going to skip it." We were taken aback by the aggression in his tone, especially considering there was no indication that anyone in the bar was bothered by our choice of music. It wasn't loud or disruptive; it was simply part of the laid-back atmosphere. This completely shifted the vibe, making things uncomfortable. We couldn't help but feel disrespected by his harsh words, and honestly, it felt completely out of place. We ended up paying our tab and leaving, as we didn't want to stay in such an awkward environment. If you're going to have touch tunes at your establishment, then you should be prepared to respect what the customer is paying to play. We've never experienced anything like this at a bar before. While it's possible he was just having a rough shift, the way he handled the situation left a lot to be desired. A bit of customer service training--or just a reminder to treat patrons with respect--could go a long way. Unfortunately, this experience overshadowed what could have been a nice night out. read more

Unfortunately my photos I took did not save but I will be back and definitely will take more! We went there for the football game Sunday and absolutely loved it! They have various games you can play and the vibes were definitely 80s with even music posters! We got a couple cocktails that was super yummy and various beers. They even had someone there to promote a new tequila. The bartenders were also really nice and welcoming. We got the chili Mac and cheese and lamb burger with a side fries. Loved the bar vibe and loved the food but at 7.30pm the music was so annoyingly loud we left. Came with friends to eat, drink, and watch CAVS and the World Series but left to go to Truck Park because music so loud. I came here for brunch and it's my new favorite place! All food is crispy (but not greasy)!! The service is amazing and bonus that they put the OSU game on majority of the screens! Will be coming back every time I'm in need of a brunch fix. read more

Wine Dive offers a great food and drink selection. Their list of wine caters to great affordable and high end. Brunch runs on the weekend 11am-3pm and is a delicious add on! They bring in live music Thursdays and Fridays supporting local artists! This is a great add on to the neighborhood and we received amazing service! read more
