Fun winter dinner date! We booked a ski gondola for four on a Sunday evening. We were a little nervous looking at them from the outside but it really was spacious enough inside for the four of us. They have little space heaters within which provided enough heat that we didn't have to eat with our coats on to stay warm :) Service was friendly and attentive (they weren't super busy, but we didn't feel ignored sitting outside). We all enjoyed our food as well - we had the calamari appetizer (the chili sauce it came with was excellent) and our party got the market smash burger, beets & burrata salad, salmon burger with sweet potato fries, and wings. The salad had an overload of pecans on it, but was tasty other than that. The sweet potato fries were my favorite, aside from the calamari. They did add an auto gratuity of 20% onto our bills which we were not informed about ahead of time, so just a heads up there. All in all a nice evening and a good experience. Thank you, Market!

Was shocked by how good this avocado toast was for brunch. I was honestly expecting one piece of toast and just overpaying but this toast was delicious! I loved the pickled onions and cucumbers and everything seasoning and was full and satisfied after the meal. I didn't even know fruit was included which was a nice surprise! Would come back just to eat this again to feel healthy but satiated!

I highly recommend coming here. We had a large group for the Kentucky Derby party. They accommodated our group. Service was impressive (we had Emma as our server). Food was delicious. I had the octopus. The drinks were great and didn't have to wait long. Zero complaints.

Ham and cheese omelet. Basic but was very good

Food was good and so was the service. The inside had a nice relaxed vibe and did not have to wait long at all for food and drinks because of pleasant staff.

Overall very average, was pretty empty for a Monday night. Only a few tables in the whole place. Seemed slightly pricey for sitting at the bar side, but on the way out i saw a more dressed up side which makes more sense with the menu. Got the market wings $18 for 10 which seems a bit wild to me but got them anyways. I will say they were pretty big wings, and the buffalo garlic parm was to die for. The buffalo chicken dip app was also tasty, but hunks of celery throughout turned me off a little bit easy to pull out. Our waitress was kind but didn't check on us throughout the meal or get us refills for a while i just assumed she was on a break, no flaws to her from my end but other people checking the place may want it noted that service can be spotty. atmosphere was cute if you were on the patio or classier side but the inside bar area was kinda mid. No major complaints but nothing that really stood out either. If you are on the fence i say give this place a try!

    Desert was the best.

This place is amazing. Loved everything about it and more. Will go there again and again. Ambiance and food were great for price.

Nice Happy Hour. I got the Nutty Gentleman which was a bit sweet (unexpected) but delicious. Walnut bitters and Bourbon with honey syrup to add the sweetness. Chicken sliders are good. Fried piece of chicken with cranberries on a roll. The place is upscale atmosphere but still casual. They have some cool cable cars to sit in for dinner (Happy about only at the bar). Parking can be valet or not far up the street is a plaza.

This place has been very up and down over the years. It's evened out to just ok now. I am intrigued by the mysterious "convenience fee" that showed up on my bill on a recent visit, though. I messaged them to see what it was and got no response. Would like to know what it actually covers. I'm not a fan of random fees showing up on my bill.

Stopped in today for brunch on the patio. We brought our golden retriever and they were very accommodating (thank you!). Got seated right away at 12:30 on a Saturday I was shocked because I have been before during prime time and it was slammed. We ordered the cheese board for an appetizer (not pictured) and it was a very generous portion for only $15 - great mustard, loved the pickles and the cheeses were wonderful! It also came with bacon - what a nice surprise! I ordered the pretzel chicken sandwich which came with fries and a delicious jalapeño honey mustard which was amazing and made the entire sandwich. My husband had the wings and we are so picky about wings but these were fabulous - juicy, crispy and saucy. The ranch is definitely homemade and was super good too! I'd def come back for wings to try other flavors. Overall, great service and good food, we will be back!

Drinks were - delicious! Ordered the Espressotini and my daughter ordered the Fibber MaGee - both were excellent and well worth the $12 and $10. Service was fine. Not stellar, but ok. Food: The brussel sprouts were DELICIOUS The Ribeye Philly Cheese was good The Goat Cheese salad was good However - the food was very overpriced

@jillrn_17 and I tried a new place for our lunch date Saturday. @marketbeer Market in Rocky River. Pretty busy place with a decent brunch and we kind of like their menu. Good enough to go back, a couple little clunkers. Our server was a little distant and we had to look for her and the Korean barbecue short ribs had a kind of weird flavor I powered through them. The goat cheese salad was really good with the fried wedge of goat cheese. Jill said her soup, which was chicken popper soup, was very good, but for the money the serving size seemed a little small, we grabbed a fresh order of french fries. I mean fresh cut fries, which were very good. I did not get a picture. I definitely want to try it again. Hope service will be better and I'm sure I'll post some pictures. Be sure to eat local and support small business.

Came at 10am on a Sunday with a group of 4. Was able to get seated but definitely would recommend a reservation. I got the Bloody Mary cart, virgin though, and enjoyed getting my own fixings! I ordered the veggie omelette and enjoyed the meal. My husband got the market breakfast with over easy eggs, turkey sausage, and English muffin. They griddled the muffin which was really cool. We also ordered a pancake a la carte which is nice instead of having to order the 3 stack. Nice staff. Great spot!

Silent auction items beautifully displayed and organized by their event coordinator!

Atmosphere was a wood, rustic, whiskey barrel feel and the food was great. Came back this year, and it was probably the most brutal restaurant experience I've had in a while. So Char is now called Avo Mexican, but they didn't change the atmosphere to replicate a Mexican place. It's still whiskey themed- with signs slapped on the old logo. They still have some of the old menu items from Char- which is so confusing too. When we walked in I asked the host if the bar was open seating. He said "oh I don't know" and walked away. We just sat at the bar since he didn't come back. We asked the Bartender what happened to Char and he said the owners wanted a rebrand. But it looked like a whiskey bar still....they didn't rebrand anything. I got a marg and my guy asked for a Mexican beer they used to have. Bartender said we haven't had that in a year. So they got rid of all their Mexican beers....? Even though they are now a Mexican place? So he ended up getting a Coors Light. My Marg lacked any sweetness or Agave. It was tequila and lime juice- poor bartender was struggling with 4 bar guests. It was kinda sad. I got a taco salad and my guy got a burger. He used to get the burger with fries, but now that it's Mexican, they only have chips. We had chips and guac for an app, so that was super annoying. Fries used to be really good. And who wants a burger without fries? Place wasn't busy, but our food took 35 minutes. Bartender kept apologizing and saying the kitchen was slammed. It clearly wasn't, I'm sure the cooks were adjusting to a new menu. Food was okay. Used to be really good, but I wouldn't recommend anymore. I guess they close at 8pm some days, because around 7:40 when we just had gotten our food, the bartender said it's last call. We were kinda laughing that they did a last call during normal dinner hours. My fiancé was considering getting another beer after dinner, but I guess they were closing...so weird. I've never seen a place close at peak dinner hours. No idea why they rebranded it. Confusing signage, food is not good anymore, drinks are bad, atmosphere doesn't make sense, menu is lackluster, service and kitchen are lacking, hours are bad. Sucks to write this, but I 100% will not be returning.

There's such a wide variety of options that it was honestly hard to decide what to order. I ordered the Yum Yum Melt with a side of broccoli. It was just okay for me. The sandwich was a bit on the thinner side, didn't have many onions, and it seemed like it was missing the garlic aioli. There were also no yum yum pickles on the sandwich or on the side, which was disappointing. I wouldn't order that one again. My one son got the Curd Burger with a side of mac & cheese and really enjoyed it, especially the extra flavor from the hot honey pickles. My youngest ordered the Teriyaki Bowl (chicken, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, caramelized onions, teriyaki sauce over seasoned rice) and absolutely loved it. My husband tried the Caprese Burger with a side of Cajun fries, which was another solid option and he enjoyed it very much, especially the Cajun fries which were full of flavor. He also tried two of the beers, he ordered the Wangies - a hazy double IPA and he tried the Sasquatch Sightings - Russian Imperial Stout. He said both were excellent. I was intrigued by the different pizzas on the menu, which I am excited to try next time, I love that you have the option of ordering by the slice so you can try different ones or a whole pizza. Our server, Nick, was great; very personable, friendly, and helpful with menu suggestions since it was our first visit. The atmosphere was great also. Overall, a great spot with a fun and diverse menu. Even though one dish missed the mark, we'll definitely be back to try more items!

I finally had an excuse to visit for a bookish bar crawl. I visited with a large group of book lovers. AMBIANCE: Urban brewery vibes with half brick exposed walls, wood furniture, wall of local beer plaques, and dim lighting. There is plenty of seating - a bar, high tops, and tables. On Saturday night the place was absolutely buzzing, lots of beer lovers! The space seemed equally tailored to the large groups, couples, and solo guests. My group was very comfortable despite us occupying the main space. FOOD/DRINKS: The taproom has a large selection of craft drafts, 49 to be exact! They are reasonably priced - $4-5. Some of the local brands are featured on the menu - Masthead, Bookhouse Brewing, Fat Head's, Southern Tier, and others. I wasn't in the beer mood during my visit, but my friend loved her beer choice. The menu is not limited to just beer, you can select cocktails, spirits, wine, mocktails, and more. There's something for everyone! The brewery has scratch kitchen. The menu has a lot of choices considering it's a brewery. Menu categories include pizza, salads, empanadas, wings, sandwiches, bowls, fries, desserts, kids menu, wraps, and brunch. There's a vegan section as well. Most of my bookish friends love that the menu featured pizzas by slice! I selected a bowl which seemed like a hearty fall day meal. My choice was Bourbon Chicken Bowl ($14.50). The dish was overwhelmingly spicy for my palette. My friend ordered a seasonal special (Seasonal Gnocchi Bowl) that was a lot more tasty and not spicy. SERVICE: Our group had only one waiter. The service was very impressive considering that he was serving everyone who was not seated at the bar. Every order was accurate, the service was fast, and he was super nice. For his sake, I wish for better staffing at this brewery. Everyone in my group enjoyed their experience and food! I would be back to try pizza! Oh, and beer of course!
