My girlfriends and I heard about the Market gondola dining experience on social media and decided to try it out. It did require a reservation and a $25 deposit that is applied to the bill. We came on a weeknight and parking was a real problem. The restaurant wasn't very busy but the lot was full. The lot directly across the street clearly states that if you park there and are eating at Market, you will be towed. We all had to park in random places and hope our vehicles were safe. As for the restaurant, the gondola's heater had stopped working when we arrived but they got us a replacement and it heated up fairly quick. The interior was dim but there were little twinkle lights inside. We had to use our flashlights to read the menu. Our server was very good - he checked on us frequently and met every need that we had. I had the chicken paprikash soup and sliders. Both were ok but nothing special. My friends ordered salads which they liked pretty well. I had a winter spritz to drink which was good. Gratuity was included in the bill. We had a great time but the food was just average. read more

Had a very disappointing meal at Market. Everything was overcooked. The cauliflower appetizer had literally no taste and was like eating a fried, oily cotton ball. The cinnamon rolls were even overdone and almost crunchy on the outside. Potatoes so salty and over cooked. The breakfast tacos were okay but nothing I would have to eat again. I do not recommend brunch here, maybe try lunch or dinner or just drinks might be better. Super cute place, it's sad the food isn't better. Fun winter dinner date! We booked a ski gondola for four on a Sunday evening. We were a little nervous looking at them from the outside but it really was spacious enough inside for the four of us. They have little space heaters within which provided enough heat that we didn't have to eat with our coats on to stay warm :) Service was friendly and attentive (they weren't super busy, but we didn't feel ignored sitting outside). We all enjoyed our food as well - we had the calamari appetizer (the chili sauce it came with was excellent) and our party got the market smash burger, beets & burrata salad, salmon burger with sweet potato fries, and wings. The salad had an overload of pecans on it, but was tasty other than that. The sweet potato fries were my favorite, aside from the calamari. They did add an auto gratuity of 20% onto our bills which we were not informed about ahead of time, so just a heads up there. All in all a nice evening and a good experience. Came here for brunch and had a great time! I had made a reservation, so no wait whatsoever. Every single one of us enjoyed our cocktails. There weren't a lot of vegetarian options, which is a little surprising since breakfast food is extremely easy to make without meat. Luckily, I love French toast. So I got the cornflake French toast. It didn't come with syrup, so you have to ask. And just a tip: don't pour it all on at once bc it'll get soggy quickly. But I loved how different this French toast was and yummm it was so delicious! Everyone else enjoyed their food as well. The wait time for our food was extremely long. I didn't clock it, but it was somewhere between 45 minutes to an hour. Was shocked by how good this avocado toast was for brunch. I was honestly expecting one piece of toast and just overpaying but this toast was delicious! I loved the pickled onions and cucumbers and everything seasoning and was full and satisfied after the meal. I didn't even know fruit was included which was a nice surprise! Overall very average, was pretty empty for a Monday night. Only a few tables in the whole place. Seemed slightly pricey for sitting at the bar side, but on the way out i saw a more dressed up side which makes more sense with the menu. Got the market wings $18 for 10 which seems a bit wild to me but got them anyways. I will say they were pretty big wings, and the buffalo garlic parm was to die for. The buffalo chicken dip app was also tasty, but hunks of celery throughout turned me off a little bit easy to pull out. Our waitress was kind but didn't check on us throughout the meal or get us refills for a while i just assumed she was on a break, no flaws to her from my end but other people checking the place may want it noted that service can be spotty. atmosphere was cute if you were on the patio or classier side but the inside bar area was kinda mid. I was able to get a reservation for a ski gondola for the beginning of February. What a unique experience! The gondola was ready when we arrived and we were seated promptly. It was just myself and my friend. I'm glad there were only two of us. I feel like it would have been a little tight had there been more people. The gondola had a space heater that kept it warm throughout the meal. We started off with an order of the bang bang brussel sprouts which we both really liked! I'd go back just for those. I ordered the pork schnitzel and my friend got the vegan salisbury steak. Both of our meals were presented well and were delicious. We split the cheesecake for desert and it was sooooo good! We waited at our table for over 25 minutes, yet two parties (one of four and one of three) who arrived after us were seated, acknowledged, and served before we were. While the hostess, Hannah, did try to step in and address the situation, the damage was already done. We had been patient, assuming they might be short-staffed, but it became painfully clear that our presence was being deliberately ignored. Stopped in today for brunch on the patio. We brought our golden retriever and they were very accommodating (thank you!). Got seated right away at 12:30 on a Saturday I was shocked because I have been before during prime time and it was slammed. We ordered the cheese board for an appetizer (not pictured) and it was a very generous portion for only $15 - great mustard, loved the pickles and the cheeses were wonderful! It also came with bacon - what a nice surprise! I ordered the pretzel chicken sandwich which came with fries and a delicious jalapeño honey mustard which was amazing and made the entire sandwich. My husband had the wings and we are so picky about wings but these were fabulous - juicy, crispy and saucy. The ranch is definitely homemade and was super good too! @jillrn_17 and I tried a new place for our lunch date Saturday. @marketbeer Market in Rocky River. Pretty busy place with a decent brunch and we kind of like their menu. Good enough to go back, a couple little clunkers. Our server was a little distant and we had to look for her and the Korean barbecue short ribs had a kind of weird flavor I powered through them. The goat cheese salad was really good with the fried wedge of goat cheese. Jill said her soup, which was chicken popper soup, was very good, but for the money the serving size seemed a little small, we grabbed a fresh order of french fries. I mean fresh cut fries, which were very good. I did not get a picture. I definitely want to try it again. Hope service will be better and I'm sure I'll post some pictures. Came at 10am on a Sunday with a group of 4. Was able to get seated but definitely would recommend a reservation. I got the Bloody Mary cart, virgin though, and enjoyed getting my own fixings! I ordered the veggie omelette and enjoyed the meal. My husband got the market breakfast with over easy eggs, turkey sausage, and English muffin. They griddled the muffin which was really cool. Best event ever!! We had 150 people at a fundraiser at Market last week. The service was spectacular, the event planner, Kaylee and John Owen (himself) assisted with every detail. The restaurant was nearly empty and the host lied and said she could not seat our party for at least 30 minutes due to large reservations coming in. We sat at the bar for almost an hour and maybe 2 tables got sat that entire time. When we sat at the bar, game audio was on for an NFL playoff game. When that game ended, the bartender switched the audio to music, despite a second playoff game starting immediately after the first ended. We asked the bartender to switch back to game audio and she said "it wasn't working" which again I can only assume was a lie because she had just switched it to music not 5 minutes earlier. She avoided us while we finished our drinks. As we cashed out she said she had tried multiple more times, yet another lie as we could see her pretty much the entire time. I have worked in the restaurant industry before and I totally understand you can't always accommodate every customer on a busy night. However there were maybe 20 people total in the restaurant besides our group, and the lying and unprofessionalism is inexcusable. I came in here recently with a friend of mine, i love the set up of this place and how big it is. We came right when they opened so it wasn't too busy. Our server was a very sweet guy, we told him we were chilly and he turned off the fan above us just so we didn't have to move which was so nice!!!!! As for the food that was wow just excellent. Probably a the best high quality Caesar salad with the blackened chicken i've had in years.... we split this and the Goat cheese pumpkin dip appetizer? not sure what it was called but wow!!!!! we lovveeddddd that. Sadly it just needs to come with more bread lol it only came with 3 pieces i think? def need at least 6 so we ordered more. I recommend this place for the food and mimosas for sure. I have eaten at Market before and it was great but tonight was not great. We went on for our anniversary dinner. I ordered the Airline Chicken and it was the driest piece of chicken I have ever eaten in my life. I don't complain about things like this, but it was atrocious. Everything was dry. I asked for some sauce, something, anything to reconstitute this meal. In the end, the waitress took the entree off our bill. But I'll have to think twice about eating there again. Had time for a quick lunch and decided to come to Market which is a reliable choice to be open for lunch I'll the area. Recently had a nice happy hour here and decided to give lunch a shot. Ordered the Nashville hot chicken and it was enormous. Hoagie roll was as fresh as it gets. Chicken was perfectly cooked and sauced. Had a delicious lunch here yesterday. Its very high ceilings and large room lends itself to being a bit chilly so be sure to dress warmly. Service and food were excellent. However, their prices are high. Their goat cheese salad is $15.00 and my addition of salmon cost an additional $12.00. The salad was not as large as others I have had elsewhere.
