I made reservations last week for my friend and I to have dinner at The Last Page. It was her first time here and my second time here. The first time I came was for my birthday in October. Last night they had our table ready when I checked in and I was promptly seated. We were waited on by Carmen! He was so kind and attentive during our meal. I ordered the Spicy alla Vodka which I ordered last time. I don't remember it being as spicy as it was or I don't think I would've ordered it again. It was delicious though but went through 3 glasses of water. My mouth was on fire. I only ate half of it before I took the rest home. I did make them aware of my nut allergy and they were so accommodating. My friend got The Simple Salad and she said it was also spicy. She said it tasted like spicy soy sauce dressing. She did eat it all and did enjoy it but we thought both meals were just too spicy. The menu is smaller but they seem to have something for everyone. Our dinner was really lovely and the service was 10/10! Thank you Carmen!

visited The Last Page while in Cleveland and had a great overall experience. For appetizers I tried the grilled octopus and it was excellent. It was well seasoned with a flavorful sauce on the side. For my entrée I ordered the lamb chops. They were decent, not the best I have had but far from the worst, and still enjoyable. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. My server was outstanding, kind, attentive, and eager to share recommendations, which I appreciated as a visitor from out of state. If you are in Cleveland and want a stylish spot with great service and tasty small plates, The Last Page is worth a visit.

This has to be the best pasta I have had in a very long time. Flavors of both were delicious and pasta was cooked perfectly. I would only like to mention front hosts were not professional, told us an hour wait and we waited well over an hour and failed to notify us when the table was ready. Once I finally asked, they sat us immediately only to notice a few empty (&clean) tables in the restaurant. Thankfully we weren't in a rush. Food made up for the service.

What a swanky spot to grab a cocktail! I was in town on business and once the business was through, we decided to grab a celebratory drink before calling it a night. My coworker and I easily grabbed a seat at the bar and browsed their cocktail menu. The bartender was attentive and answered all of our questions in regards to the most popular picks and what she thought we would like. I went with a light, citrisy, floral drink - the botanica. It comes with Watershed gin, lavender syrup, lemon, orange bitters, and a ginger liqueur. My goodness, it was exactly what I was wanting and was absolutely delightful. It had an ice cube with a frozen lemon peel and was served in a martini glass. Very elegant looking. I let my drink partner give it a try and she liked it so much so switched her order. While we didn't eat, I can speak to how nice the space was inside. They even had it decorated for the holidays. The restrooms were very clean and had some funky wallpaper on the walls. They had televisions playing the Cavs and light music playing. It was an overall vibe. I can totally see myself coming here for a night on the town with friends, on a date, or even for a nice dinner and drinks with family. Until next time, my friends!

We went to The Last Page for brunch today, something we've been wanting to do ever since sampling their food at the United We Brunch event last February, and it did not disappoint. We started with the RFG Bloody and the Espresso Martini, both solid choices and a great way to kick things off. For food, we ordered the Sunny Side Potatoes and the Breakfast Burrito, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park. Everything was flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying. An amazing food spot that's definitely worth checking out!

My husband and I love this patio! If you time it right, you can dine out on it and listen to music events within Pinecrest, which is what we did! We had the calamari, carne asada, and potatoes. We thought all of the dishes were very good. We liked the complexity of the flavors, especially with the carne asada and potatoes. The service was very good. We had questions about how Dora worked in Pinecrest, and our server took the time to patiently answer our questions and provide drink recommendations. We'll definitely be back!

First timer. Loved the ambiance and service was great. Cocktails were a bit too concentrated with sweetness but I appreciated that I could still taste the liquor and the presentation was beautiful. Food comes in small portions and is overpriced. If you're considering dinner, I'd come for a drink and then move on to the next establishment. I'd be willing to come back and try brunch!

Let me tell you somethin'... I initially found this place on a late night after work and wanted wings. I saw a picture of their Crackin' Ghost Wings as the featured photo and I was sold. I paid this place a single visit and I was HOOKED. Now I have to absolutely visit this place whenever I'm in Cleveland... here's why... Atmosphere/Appearance: This place is in a huge "strip mall" of sorts, but I'd rather call it a mini-city. There's a movie theater here, people can buy apartments above the stores, there's restaurants everywhere, it's NICE here. So The Last Page is kinda tucked away a lil' bit across from Pinstripes and the valet stand. There's a bit of an outdoor section for the warmer months. Once inside you are transported into a futuristic, modern utopia of sorts. The restaurant is wide-open giving you the impression that this place is huge, but it's not. There are booths around the perimeter and tables right in the middle with the beautiful well-lit bar right at the back. The ceiling is kinda wild too! I love the feeling this place gives me just by being here. And when you get the chance... check out the bathrooms... all 4 of them, they're all different... and ask to see the secret private room. ;-) Service: Reine (a manager who know longer works here) welcomed me in with open arms and Joy was my bartender who took care of me. I haven't seen her in a while, but Desiree is who I've been seeing lately! Everyone here is just so friendly, helpful and makes you feel welcomed. Food: I've been here several times and have had quite a few dishes. Let's start from the top... Lol. The Last Manhattan: It consists of barrel-aged Bulleit rye, carpano antica, fee bros orange bitters and served with applewood smoke. It was Earthy, a bit sweet, delicious, rounded with a good burn from that rye. It was well balanced and the smoke was so... refreshing if I can say that? You have to taste it to believe it. Lol. Mai Tai: It consists of Appleton Estate rum, rhum clement, orgeat, lime, sugar cane and fire. It comes served in the cutest ceramic fish cup then lit on fire right in front of you. Lol. It was tropical, light, refreshing and a little on the sweet side, but that's kind of what you'd expect from a drink you're supposed to be drinking on a beach... in Cleveland. Grilled Broccolini: Toasted panko, crispy garlic, parmesan, romesco. The presentation was phenomenal and delivered amazing aromas. It was SO FLAVORFUL from the char to the cheesiness to the soy and umami flavors. Well done. Never have I been so excited for broccoli... Lol. Cracklin' Ghost Wings: THESE along with the dranks Big Dezzi creates are single-handedly what keeps me coming back to The Last Page. So these are made with a sweet & spicy dry rub then served with an umami ranch. I love these so much and they're so simple. The batter is light, airy and fluffy. The chicken is rich, hot and cooked well. The flavors don't pop like a sauced wing, but they're definitely there. There isn't much spice, but if you want it, just bite the dried pepper on your plate. Lol. Broken Yolk Fried Rice: Again, presentation is ON POINT. Joy recommended this to me so I had to try it. It's a dome of fried rice topped with light peppers, kimchi, spinach and a nice seat for a single egg yolk. Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to stir that yolk in and enjoy! The rice was cooked perfectly. It was soft, creamy, smooth, garlicy, flavorful, salty and was just plain GOOD. You don't even need a protein to go with it. The Last Word: Made with Four Peel Watershed gin, luxardo cherry, chartreuse, lime juice then topped with a rosemary bubble that has some smoke in it! Lol. The flavors were so complex and worked so well. The rosemary/lavender smell enters your nose as you put the glass to your face. There's no grape in the drink, but I sure tasted some! Lol. Swiss & Salty: Dark chocolate Swiss roll, ganache, coffee cream and served with salted caramel ice cream. Presentation is another 10/10, but a perfect way to end the meal. It was smooth, rich, a teeny bit salty and just overall GREAT. The ice cream was a perfect complement with its... you guessed it, bold salted caramel creamy flavors. Value: You gon' pay to play here. It is what it is. It's a nice place so be prepared to spend, but it's not Michelin Star level. However, the secret is to come for happy hour from 3:00pm to 6:00pm Tuesday through Sunday. All wines by the glass, beers and signature cocktails are 1/2 off! Some appetizers (including the wings) are heavily discounted. Like I said before, I love this place SO MUCH and am missing it right now as I write this review. I can't wait to come back! Check this place out and tell them I sent you!

The last page has great ambience. I love coming here. The prices are a little excessive however it doesn't make me stop coming. They have happy hour Tuesday through Sunday from 4 to 6 where they have $10 appetizers. I think half off wine and beer and discounted select cocktails. I got some vanilla pear old-fashioned that I don't know really was unsatisfying, but I didn't send it back. I tried to drink it. I couldn't finish it. The next drink. I had however was delicious. I'm trying to remember the name and failing. I'll update this review if I can remember, it was tequila based with tajin, bitters and came out smoked. Oh! Got it. THE MYSTIC. GET IT!

Went to The Last Page for a cute little double date. Super cute! The waiter knew the menu well and was helpful because one in our party has several allergies. The food was wonderful! The Burrata & Peaches was so good it changed my husband's opinion on burrata! So take that as you will. All the other food kept up to the hype of the appetizers. We sadly didn't get dessert but that's just another reason to go back.

I'd been curious about this place for a long time having been intrigued by the velvet furnishings I saw through the window. It looked pretty glamorous. So we stopped for dinner after a movie on a Friday. Our server was super sweet with her English accent and the atmosphere was fine if a little chilly. (Someone was trying to figure out the heat when we were there). The menu selection was just kinda meh. Nothing really intrigued me but I settled on the Salmon - which was nicely prepared with a delicious sauce. Its only companions on the plate were three onions (?!) Seriously. For $32 do you really think that is an acceptable accompaniment? My husband's chicken was a little on the burnt side and came with some dried out fingerling potatoes. $30. We were starving so we ate our expensive meals including salads and the four slices of bread we paid $12 for.

Ambiance: The place is well decorated & contemporary with a fairly loud environment. Drinks were great. Really liked the Sozo Sour made with Mezcal. Food/Service: Real surprised how the timing of the food was off. There were only 2 of us. I ordered the brazino & hubby ordered the Peruvian chicken. My dish came out first & I was over half way done with my dish when his chicken finally showed up. He said it was good but they definitely left it on the grill longer than needed! The branzino came with a sweet, slightly tangy/slightly spicy sauce. Very nice balance! It comes topped with mint leaves & cilantro. I really do not like mint leaves so if you don't either, ask for them to top it with cilantro only. However, it's easy to just move the leaves off the dish. I didn't get a shareable side item cause we really weren't that hungry but I must say as much as I enjoyed the branzino, you definitely need to put a side item with it because it is a fairly small, light proportion. I usually don't finish my entrees but no problem with this dish!

Steak and eggs - bearnaise sauce was out of this world! Hangar steak had a perfect sear with a bit of salt

First time back in a while and was delighted to see the quality hasn't lapsed at all. The steak and eggs were amazing as was my wife's ham and cheese sandwich. Cocktails on point and service was warm and friendly - they were understaffed on a busy Saturday brunch and still managed to get to us regularly. Pretty festive atmosphere with a lot of patrons between the holidays. Will be back soon!

I am looking for a casual attire, yet nice dinner date ideas in the Shaker/Cleveland Hts area?

The Last Page works for that: dressy casual, limited but good menu, signature cocktails, a little pricey but not too bad, fun atmosphere but can be a little loud.

Eight (!) years ago my friend recommended her favorite place - The Fairmount. She emphasized that…read morethe ambiance and cocktails are something to experience. Eight years worth of Fairmount moments later, this review is well overdue. AMBIANCE: The ambiance allows you to slow down and enjoy your company. The restaurant is dim lit, has fireplaces, and loungey atmosphere. It somehow feels warm and I heard a lot of people refer to it as a second home (people are always so friendly here!). There is ample space - three bars, main dining space, and huge outdoor oasis bar. Nestled in Cedar Fairmount neighborhood, you'll also be able to enjoy historic neighborhood. There are seating arrangements if you're craving company or want to enjoy your date. Seating options include couches by the fireplace, tables, and high tops. Fairmount is delightful during every season. During the summer you can enjoy the bar and patio. In the winter you can dine at the igloos. I prefer all seasons here. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu at Fairmount is impressive and has exciting seasonal/weekly additions. You'll never get bored. The cocktails here are refined, very boozy, and very well crafted. The food is seriously delicious, and consistent every single time. I've been impressed with every dish. The dishes and drinks frequently follow the seasons. During my latest visit I enjoyed Butter Pecan Warm Cider with bourbon ($12, so bold and boozy, tastes like fall). I also ordered Fig Trouble Little China ($15, a more rich version of Old Fashioned, so delicious). I also tasted Short Rib & Risotto for the very first time ($28, such a delicious dish, every bite was just amazing). My favorites? Ah, so hard! I'll go with the Fairmount Burger! It's angus beef burger with bacon-fig chutney. It's so delicious! I can't even be serious about meat at the other burger places, this is easily the best burger in the city. My seasonal favorite? Kevin McCallister seasonal drink that resembles coquito or eggnog. The drink is topped with rice paper that includes the design of Kevin from Home Alone. It's such a fun tradition! I look forward to this drink all year and always tell the world about it! SERVICE: The service is excellent. I haven't been anywhere where service is right on point every single time. Everyone is nice - the owner, hosts, and waitstaff. You truly feel seen and like the most important guest. I've visited previously while on dates and frequently dine here solo, always had the most pleasant service. EVENTS: Many people book events here for their non-profits or companies. As far as individual events, Fairmount hosts a fun NYE party every year! PARKING: Onsite parking lot is available at the back of the building. You can enter through the front doors on Cedar or right through the parking lot door. There are numerous reasons why I love the Fairmount. I consider it to be the best dining experience in the Cedar Fairmount neighborhood of Cleveland Heights. I also love how the owner Jake is very engaged in the community and is incredibly friendly with the surrounding business owners. I'll choose this place again and again for calming ambiance, crafted cocktails, and delicious food. To many more years of Fairmount and at Fairmount!

1/2 - Good tacos, service needs work…read more While on a business trip with two coworkers, we stopped in at Agave & Rye for a quick lunch. It wasn't our first choice, but it ended up being a decent find--especially if you're in the mood for creative tacos. We arrived well after the lunch rush and there were only a handful of patrons in the restaurant, so it was fairly quiet. We ordered chips and salsa to start, but unfortunately they never made it to the table. When our food arrived and I asked about them, our waitress admitted she had forgotten to write it down. The food also seemed to take a bit longer than expected considering the restaurant wasn't busy. Because of that, the service was a little underwhelming. That said, the tacos themselves were the highlight of the visit. I ordered three of the smaller tacos, but they packed a lot of flavor. My picks were The Yoda, The Love Shack, and The Filthy Fajita--all creative and really well done. Small in size, but definitely big on flavor. Overall, the food was solid, but the service could use some improvement. If I lived in the area, I could definitely see this being a good happy hour spot to grab tacos and drinks with friends.
