The service was really good..... The ambiance was nice low key spot..... I didn't order any food , but they do offer small plates .... Overall the experience was a nice night out

I've been here twice and both times were great experiences. The path to get inside is quirky and fun and the speakeasy itself is great. Excellent service, strong, delicious drinks, and the food was delicious as well! The ambiance is cozy and intimate, easy to stay for a couple hours and converse with your companions. I definitely plan on coming back again soon.

Quintana's definitely has speakeasy vibes because you have to be buzzed in from the back door (then go upstairs from the barber shop) and then find the right book to lift -- there will be a button to unlock the door (same thing to get out). Very cool design and nice speakeasy style decor, though a tad dark inside but that's probably the vibes. The bartender was very friendly and came to help us very quickly, and offered to make recommendations as well. They have a ton of lovely cocktails on the menu, and I wanted to try many of them, but I ended up getting the pink moon, which was refreshing and tasty (like the description says :D). We also got a charcuterie board to share, which was pretty big with two wedge slices of cheese, some bread, two rows of cured meats (interestingly cut as round slices instead of thin slices), some apricots and nuts over a tiny bit of salad. For two people, it was enough to fill us up as a medium meal. We didn't come on an event night, so it was fairly empty inside, only a few parties, but I saw a sign for events or music nights which I imagine would definitely draw a crowd. Their weekday HH is a 15% off deal so aim for that if you get the chance. Worth a visit, I enjoyed this speakeasy experience!

Drinks are good. Live music on Thursday's. It's up the stairs past the barber shop and staircase

Really liked this place! Small, quaint typical speakeasy vibe. Thank goodness for yelp reviews which gave some indication how to get inside this place. The entrance door is in the back. You'll first see a Barbershop. Go upstairs & you'll see several doors but look for the book case. The secret to getting in lies in opening the correct book. They also have a 3rd level where some folks can gather but I didn't go up there. The mixologist was very knowledgeable & able to make the menu drinks or whatever you describe. As a mezcal drinker, I enjoyed one that was on the menu (don't recall name) & also the old fashion. It was close to closing when we were there on a Wed night so it was pretty empty. Enjoyed the quiet, laid back vibe. Would definitely return again.

A very cool vibe for cocktails with a few friends. The drinks are well made and delicious with a good range of options. They have classic cocktails that are easily recognizable, but also some lovely original creations. The atmosphere is very cozy and the service is good. I sent my brother and sis in law who live in Los Angeles here over the Thanksgiving break and they said the same. I know they offer snacks and charcuterie, but I've only experienced the drinks on my visits so far.

If you're looking for a classy, unique, cozy and intimate vibe - this is your place. It's the perfect spot to bring a date and has a fun twist since you have to figure out how to get inside the bar (I won't ruin it for you!). The cocktails are phenomenal. Some light bites are served like bruschetta that are so good! The only downside is that it is such a small space that it can fill up quickly on busy nights like the weekend or event nights. So you'll either be stuck waiting or have a time limit or limited party size.

First time here and competent craft cocktails in a really fun speakeasy setting - the design of the main door is right up there with national places like PDT. Only had one round but will be back!

How is this place on a Tuesday night around 10pm? Wondering if it will have enough seating but also not completely empty.

It really depends on that particular week. I doubt it would be packed early in the week. Busiest Thurs-Sat eve.

Eight (!) years ago my friend recommended her favorite place - The Fairmount. She emphasized that…read morethe ambiance and cocktails are something to experience. Eight years worth of Fairmount moments later, this review is well overdue. AMBIANCE: The ambiance allows you to slow down and enjoy your company. The restaurant is dim lit, has fireplaces, and loungey atmosphere. It somehow feels warm and I heard a lot of people refer to it as a second home (people are always so friendly here!). There is ample space - three bars, main dining space, and huge outdoor oasis bar. Nestled in Cedar Fairmount neighborhood, you'll also be able to enjoy historic neighborhood. There are seating arrangements if you're craving company or want to enjoy your date. Seating options include couches by the fireplace, tables, and high tops. Fairmount is delightful during every season. During the summer you can enjoy the bar and patio. In the winter you can dine at the igloos. I prefer all seasons here. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu at Fairmount is impressive and has exciting seasonal/weekly additions. You'll never get bored. The cocktails here are refined, very boozy, and very well crafted. The food is seriously delicious, and consistent every single time. I've been impressed with every dish. The dishes and drinks frequently follow the seasons. During my latest visit I enjoyed Butter Pecan Warm Cider with bourbon ($12, so bold and boozy, tastes like fall). I also ordered Fig Trouble Little China ($15, a more rich version of Old Fashioned, so delicious). I also tasted Short Rib & Risotto for the very first time ($28, such a delicious dish, every bite was just amazing). My favorites? Ah, so hard! I'll go with the Fairmount Burger! It's angus beef burger with bacon-fig chutney. It's so delicious! I can't even be serious about meat at the other burger places, this is easily the best burger in the city. My seasonal favorite? Kevin McCallister seasonal drink that resembles coquito or eggnog. The drink is topped with rice paper that includes the design of Kevin from Home Alone. It's such a fun tradition! I look forward to this drink all year and always tell the world about it! SERVICE: The service is excellent. I haven't been anywhere where service is right on point every single time. Everyone is nice - the owner, hosts, and waitstaff. You truly feel seen and like the most important guest. I've visited previously while on dates and frequently dine here solo, always had the most pleasant service. EVENTS: Many people book events here for their non-profits or companies. As far as individual events, Fairmount hosts a fun NYE party every year! PARKING: Onsite parking lot is available at the back of the building. You can enter through the front doors on Cedar or right through the parking lot door. There are numerous reasons why I love the Fairmount. I consider it to be the best dining experience in the Cedar Fairmount neighborhood of Cleveland Heights. I also love how the owner Jake is very engaged in the community and is incredibly friendly with the surrounding business owners. I'll choose this place again and again for calming ambiance, crafted cocktails, and delicious food. To many more years of Fairmount and at Fairmount!

Great food and service! The burger was juicy. The sticky rice bowl with tuna was fantastic!read more

A drink sponsored by a liquor company is usually included for the event along with a buffet style finger foods. We were able to snag a couple of seats as 2 people were leaving. The place obviously lived up to its name. It's a vault, I get it... But what's cool about it was exploring all the extra rooms and booths. Certainly fun to get lost in it. I was also impressed by how festive it was. They were already decked out in Christmas decor, and the bartenders were in ugly Christmas sweaters. The cocktails were notably pricier than neighboring cocktail bars in the $16-$25 range. Their most expensive one was $35. I wanted to get The Safety Deposit, but they didn't have chartreuse at the time. I settled for the Post's Pom, which was nicely refreshing but overly sweet. My friend got the Cleveland Trust. It was tasty but also too sweet, and the charred dried orange killed the taste. My olfactory and taste senses were so confused. Can't say that The Vault was my favorite bar solely based on the quality of the cocktails, but can't beat the vibes.
