Charcuterie board

The atmosphere is amazing. We got our cocktails and wandered around the different vaults. We sat at the bar and had a charcuterie board which was over the top. It had everything on. It will definitely go back and try some of the other appetizers. The staff was super friendly and we enjoyed talking with them.

Very cool space in the basement of the Metropolitan at the 9. Speakeasy vibes in an old bank vault space. Amazing vibes and excellently crafted cocktails by skilled mixologists. Friendly, attentive, and creative.

What a perfect place for a big, holiday birthday! The Christmas decor is absolutely gorgeous and add another level of sophistication. We came for cocktail hour prior to my mom's 70th birthday dinner. We were fortunate enough to grab one of the vault sitting rooms. It was beautiful!!! We all had various drinks ranging from the Pom Pout to the old fashioned to the Woodford cocktail to mock tails. Everyone enjoyed their drinks of choice. I personally had the Pom Pout and it was fantastic: champs with Pom juice and lime. Perfectly paired with a hint of sweetness and the tart Pom juice. I absolutely loved it! We will absolutely return the next time we are in town!

Located inside the Metropolitan at the 9 boutique hotel in downtown Cleveland The Vault is an elegant cocktail bar with delicious cocktails, highly skilled mixologist and a sexy vibe to match. The service is great and the drinks are always delicious!! On a recent visit we enjoyed an espresso martini flight that included a vodka, tequila and henessey option. In addition to some whiskey cocktails. The vault has a variety of private rooms that will elevate your cocktail experience. There are also plenty of photo opportunities amongst the renovated bank vault. The vault is perfect for date night, ladies night out or even a solo cocktail if you are enjoying an overnight stay!!

Like another Yelper mentioned, the mixed drinks are weak. They're the equivalent of drinking juice - which is weird because they're a cocktail bar, right? Do yourself a favor and order wine/straight liquor if you want something strong/worth the price. Atmosphere wise, this place is 10/10! There's some private rooms if you get there early enough you can have your own space away from everyone. Someone just seriously needs to speak with the bartenders about the mixed drinks.

A favorite spot in downtown. A cocktail bar with a unique and fun atmosphere tucked under the 9. First, It's beautiful inside! The building used to be an old bank and they held up the vault theme/decor. In addition, the cocktails are delicious and creative. They offer the classics but also have signature cocktails on the menu that change periodically. The staff is friendly and helpful. Inside, there are several rooms that are more private to get away from the noise/crowds.

Super cool bar going in the regular rotation! Justine our bartender took great care of us as the bar slowly filled up. Another bartender was making drinks to display- loved that idea. My martini was perfect!

The vibe, location, decor, lighting and furniture are next level. Even on a Saturday night, it wasn't over crowded, service wasn't slow, just awesomeness all around. There are so many comfy, cozy nooks to snuggle up in. I was so surprised at how big and labyrinthy the space was. The actual vault door is fun to see and the bar area is nice. The drinks and appetizers were set at standard speakeasy prices. The drinks tasted a bit weak but that's fine with me! The presentation and taste of everything was great! I did try the meatball appetizer and it was fine. They were on the dry side but the sauce was good...Loved everything about this place!

I had the pleasure of visiting the cocktail bar located in the 9 hotel, and I must say it was quite an experience. The ambiance of the bar is classic, giving off a high-end vibe that immediately makes you feel special. The private seating section is especially impressive, as it adds an extra level of exclusivity to the experience. The cocktails served at this bar are truly amazing. I couldn't get enough of them! Even though the bartender was not the friendliest, the cocktails more than made up for it. The smoky mezcal - "Ilegal Smoke" drink was particularly memorable, and I highly recommend giving it a try. In terms of the appetizers, they were just as impressive as the cocktails. If I had one critique, it would be that the smoky mezcal drink could have been served in a better cocktail glass with the smoky touch given in front of our eyes, as this would have added an extra level of excitement to the experience. Overall, I had a great time at this cocktail bar and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-end bar experience. the cocktails, ambiance, and appetizers made for an unforgettable visit.

The setup has a wow factor as you enter the basement level of the building through a tunnel covered in plants and leading straight to your first photo opp! Beautiful decor that mixes a level of sophistication with a little drama as you see the bright lights. Plenty of seating and even a private room that can be rented out. The drinks are phenomenal and the staff is friendly! The menu offers a mix of unique cocktails (and can be made as mocktail a too) and small bites. Upon recommendation, I tried the F.W. Marg drink. So good! The most unique aspect is the watermelon ice cube. As it melts the drink flavor changes. Creative & fun way to enjoy a cocktail. The ambiance is intimate enough where you can step aside to a table for a nice convo or large enough to create a dancing space where we you're at... which was exactly what some of us did because the music was just too tempting. From a more organized event to a late night par-tay mentality, the subtle and eclectic vibes of Lost put you in the right head space. Highly recommend!

The wait for the food order (which was delicious) was reasonable given there was a private event happening, although it did seem the bartender was stretched a little thin, taking care of the 6-7 people at the bar, making drinks for another area, and putting glasses away from a previous shift. I had the meatballs and an Italian chopped salad, both very good. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Since the Metropolitan is home to an apartment complex, an upscale hotel, a rooftop bar, a dog park, a Pilates studio, a theater, a basement vault bar, and a "high-end" eatery, there's a whole lot of people constantly coming and going. Sitting at the four (five?) two-person tables situated right at the balcony railing means you can easily lean over and watch people come and go while sipping your drinks. Unlike the rest of the bars in the hotel, I was told there was no drink menu at the Ledger, and the bartender (who waited my table!) simply asked what flavor profile I was desiring tonight. The resulting drink he made was honestly good, and I really enjoyed it. Zero idea what was in it to ever order it again (and he was really overworked to ask!), but it was a neat experience of a "craft your own experience". There were a few beers on tap. I'm unsure about wine. Centro's food menu (restaurant downstairs) appears to be available here. There's a single unisex bathroom within steps of the bar, and the regular hotel lobby bathrooms are down a floor. As conference rooms are nearby this bar, I'd also probably guess there's a large conference room bathroom block too, but I didn't find that one. The rest of the bars and restaurants in the Metropolitan tend to take most of the attention here, and the Ledger has a much more laid-back, chill vibe. A lot of people were watching a sports game (baseball, I think?) on the TV behind me. With the smaller space and wide "open" area of the full lobby, the Ledger feels like your calmest, quietest bar option out of the available places at the Metropolitan.

Ohio City

CLE's best kept secret!…read more A few of my friends raved about Smoke & Mirrors, so I finally checked it out. I stopped in during Stargazers Ball hosted by YoreCraeft Productions. It was a fun cosmic costume party at Smoke & Mirrors. Smoke & Mirrors delivers on their promise, there are mirror accents and intermittent smoke. They also have a lot of silver accents that have a cool juxtaposition with the cave look. You can find this nightclub underground at Clandestina on West 25th. Enter the club by going through mezcalería (Clandestina) and going downstairs. The club calls themselves "subterranean catacomb club." I'd describe it as a nightclub giving off speakeasy vibes with some exposed brick, cave vibes, and sultry red illumination. It's a very mysterious dungeon looking club. It's raw and unusual for the local nightclub scene in the very best of ways. The coolest space in this club is the once upon a time coal room that serves as a little private nook to sip your cocktails. The rest of the club has one dance floor, some comfy seats against the wall, and a small bar. It's very intimate. The club is mostly known for its EDM DJs. Don't expect big names but expect good music. You can find their lineup on their IG @smokeandmirrorscle. They're open on Thursdays for karaoke, and Saturdays for DJ and dancing. The party that I attended had a lot of dancing and good vibes. The club seems to have a cover charge, but the amount is not shared on their socials. The menu consists of cocktails, craft beer, and wine, which is a generous selection for a night club. There were some themed cocktails during my visit ranging from $8-$14. I certainly plan to stop by during a regular weekend night to check out the full experience and DJ's. You should too. If you drop in, stop Clandestina bathroom for a selfie with flattering light. Can't wait for my next visit!
