This isn't necessarily the kind of place that I would pick on my own now that I'm over 40, but for a midday meet up before a Guardians game, it's absolutely perfect. I recently met my coworkers here before we headed to a game, and I was really impressed by how good. The food was. In particular, I couldn't get enough of their onion, petals, and I love that they have so many sauces available for dipping, right there on the table. Great BBQ sauce options! My friend is obsessed with their "cheese bomb" add-on, which is just a sandwich cut in half and placed cut-side-down in a bowl of beer cheese. Came in with a large group on a Saturday night and had no problem getting a table right in front of the bar. Our server was very friendly and prompt to bring us drinks and take our orders. We all opted for the draft beer card where you choose an amount to load onto the card and you pay per ounce for the beers on the 3 draft walls spaced throughout the restaurant. Some beers were more expensive than others, but the selection/variety was decent. The food we ordered was amazing. Everyone loved their apps and entrees. The fried mac and cheese balls had a little spice and came out with 3 per order and were huge. The bacon jam burger was loaded with jalapeños and had two juicy smash burger patties. First, I recently hosted a private party at this location. About 200 people total in attendance. The staff was great and even met some of the attendees in 30min early. Some of the food (buffet style) was already prepared and we started eating and drinking as soon as we got in. When the rest of the group arrived, I handed out game cards and everyone was drinking and playing all over this place. Door was pretty good too for a buffet style setup. The pizzas weren't great but the fried food (chicken, mac and cheese balls, fries) was good. They also had sliders and pulled chicken. A bit disappointed by the pizza as I already mentioned. I visited Wild Eagle Saloon to support my husband, the lead vocalist of the band Dirty Pop, and I have to say, the experience was fantastic! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was nothing but good vibes. I grabbed a seat at the bar, which had a perfect view of the stage, and quickly glanced over the menu. I was greeted with excellent service right away. I ordered the Eagle Wings and tried all the sauces on the side--each one was spot-on and complemented the perfectly cooked wings. My friend and I also shared the mac & cheese balls, and they were easily the highlight of the meal. Fried to absolute perfection, with creamy mac and cheese inside that was rich and flavorful. Stopped into the Wild Eagle Saloon when we were in Cleveland for a concert at the HOB. The food wasn't bad but idk if we would stop in again. We were at a high top that had no server assigned. It was confusing because the tables around us had servers, but we were instructed to order at the bar. Not a big deal, just thought it was strange. The pepperoni wontons were good, but we found them at our local meijer, air fried them, and they are just as good, if not better. But glad we tried them. Boyfriend's chicken Philly was good, but nothing special, probably would not order again. The burger I got sounded great but was poorly executed. I like everything on it separately, however, something just didn't work together. The bun disintegrated in my hands. I ended up eating the burger patty off and scrapping half the bun and toppings. The bar itself is pretty cool. There are arcade games throughout. They also have a pour yourself beer system. We did not partake since the process of buying a card and then loading the card was a little confusing, but the idea is definitely fun. It does, however, make the price per beer kind of expensive. I would still do it, you're paying for the experience. The taps I saw ranged about 40-50 cents per ounce. read more

Giving this a 3 because of how terrible they were with Covid. Half the customers were walking around with no masks & no one said anything (especially in the game room side). So many of the servers blatantly had their masks half on their face. There were no glass separators between tables and no tables skipped. There were a few extra hand sanitizers but non by highly touched areas such as the games & beer wall. Basically all we could do was be sure to keep our masks on & wash/sanitize hands in between touching things. Disheartening to see a cool place ignoring Covid protocol but can only do what you can. Definitely want to come back but NOT during Covid times... Otherwise the food was good, not mind blowing but good. You come here for the atmosphere of the fun games. We loved the skee ball & air hockey. I got the salmon salad which was honestly delicious & a generous portion. My mom and boyfriend got the prime rib dip sandwich which they both enjoyed. Their fries were awesome as well. The highlight was forsure the Beer wall I love that there's so many options (although the majority were Christmas ales currently) and that you can taste as many as you want before committing. So we tried this place for Burger week, supposed to be able to enjoy $8 burgers. Self serve beer which hubs enjoys and lots of little games and such which was cool. For starters, only one of our burgers was $8 despite both being on the specific menus. Nowhere could we find that it was one per check or anything like that. Not a huge deal, but still, that's why we were there. The big issue was the description of the burger and then the burger you actually receive. I realize they won't be exact but I have pics and the menu boasts this burger having a HUGE onion ring on it.....when I tell you the onion STRING wasn't even the size of a quarter! Since moving recently to downtown I had been wanting to stop in and check this place out! So glad I did with a friend from out of town, the music playing was country western which was great so why not my friend being a singer from Nashville just started singing I must say my friend is an amazing singer!! I've been to Wild Eagle Saloon a LOT of times. For a while they had a $6 lunch deal and I went every weekday for a month straight. My biggest qualm with the food is that the fries are very salty. I always ask for no salt because of it and it comes out fine. The vegetarian options are also a bit lacking--you can sub a black bean patty, but it's $2 extra... I would also definitely recommend calling ahead if you come for lunch--the food always took around 20-30 minutes. The pour your own beer shtick is pretty cool, you load up a card and then tap it to take an amount of beer from the taps on the far wall. Don't worry, there's also a standard bar for mixed drinks and the place gets pretty active on the weekends. There's ping pong + beer pong upstairs and arcade games / pool downstairs, definitely a good place to do more than just drink. read more

Let me start off by explaining the premise of this place: you load a card and then can walk around and use it to pour your own drafts, which are charged to your card by the ounce. This place is such an awesome concept but very complicated execution. You have to go to the bar to buy a beer card, which is fine, Bc you take it around to every tap to pour yourself beer. The unfortunate part is when you try to play games. You have to buy a separate game card that is only sold in $5 increments. The most frustrating part is every other game is shut off due to COVID. So for example, claw machine game is permanently off Bc the game next to it is turned on...?? How do they decide which games get the boot? Pretty annoying. Besides that, games are always dysfunctional there. Another example: basketball game was not keeping score at all...kind of frustrating when you get through an entire game and then there's no score. The Wild Eagle is quickly becoming a go-to spot, especially on our trips to Playhouse Square. I love the casual and fun atmosphere so it's great for pre-show drinks but also as an all-in-one fun night out destination. During off-hours (pre-dinner) on Sunday it's relatively easy to get a spot at the bar - prime for watching a game - and/or have your pick of their arcade and other games. As far as I can remember they have indoor bocce, air hockey, basketball hoops challenge, electronic beer pong, skee-ball, and other arcade games (and probably many I am forgetting.) While I've only eaten here once, I would recommend their sports-pub style offerings. The Southwest Veggie Wontons were good and I REALLY enjoyed the Curly Wolf burger which features a fried hunk of pepper jack cheese. (DELICIOUSNESS!!!!) Drink-wise, the first thing I ordered here was the Gunslinger, a cocktail that's right up my alley with its blend of bourbon and lemonade goodness. It's telling that in the four times I've been here, I've ONLY order that drink since (sooooo good!) I would like to return when I have some more time to peruse the games and check out the self-service beer taps they have. There must be at least 30 of them, all featuring a variety of awesome options. One time we stopped in with a group of friends to show them the place and they had live music with a rockin' cover band and it was packed with dancing. First time visiting this place and we chose it because we saw that it had a few arcade games that would keep my 7 year old cousin entertained so if you have kids, they'll definitely enjoy it. Nothing that would make me say that it was among the best I've ever had but it did satiate my hunger. My aunt and older cousin ordered the tasting platter. They had ribs, burnt ends, pulled pork, slaw, macaroni and carrots. For around $40 you really can't beat that because it would've easily fed 3 people. I got to taste a good portion of it because it was so much and the pulled pork was great. We had the Jim Beam bourbon sauce and the Carolina gold sauce (we're from Carolina so we wanted to see if they got it right) and both were pretty good. I was able to find some good beer options, although this location (on a Thursday evening) seemed like the crowd was thin. I'm glad they seemed to survive Covid and I hope at some point the crowds will return. The main reason they get only 3 stars is the bar area had a smell, kinda musty like an old rag for the bar top. I also hope they can get some different (more unique) beers. The last thing the city needs is another bar with the same ol' beers.
