We were seated quickly when we arrived but it took an inordinately long period of time for our server to show up. When she finally did we found out she was also the bartender... hence the delay. The rest of the evening she did an admirable job of keeping up. The excellent menu has a nice selection of small plates. To start, I ordered the "Lamb Pelmeni" lamb dumplings with a sour cherry glaze, griddled mushrooms, and sour cream. Followed by "Cabbage Rolls" with housemade tomato sauce and mashed potatoes. My wife had the "Pork Schnitzel" with mashed potatoes, braised red cabbage, and mushroom gravy. We both thought our selections were excellent. We finished with a good cup of coffee and I had the "Brown Sugar Vanilla Krispies". It was a very enjoyable evening and we will return.

Our group's standard fare was the ethnic offerings, primarily paprikash and stuffed cabbage. I think that we will be looking for another restaurant as we arent going to be happy with the new menu. First of, pricing for paprikash used to be maybe $17. It is now $23 and spatezles not an option. Second, cabbage rolls are half the size of the old menu, there is no option for Hungarian versus polish sauce, cabbage was paper thin so offered no flavor, sauce was thick like tomato paste and the chef possibly trying to be trendy, piles cabbage rolls on top of the mashed potatoes which were the best part of the dish. As always, service was excellent. Staff is so friendly and listened to our concerns about food. It's a good thing that the baseball season is almost over as I don't think my group will be gathering anymore this year. Perhaps the menu and recipes will go back over the winter.
