The chicken pesto sandwich was sooo good. The atmosphere was very nice sitting outside by the river. The staff was extremely friendly. I would definitely visit again.

    Outdoor patio

Sat on their patio late in the evening. Nice view of the water. Unfortunately, it was ran over by mice? We made a comment to the server and she said they were aware and it was "hard to control". I've eaten at a lot of outdoor and restaurants and never have had mice constantly darting around our feet. No other comment was made by the restaurant about it. Overall it was my second time dining in. Food is somewhat pricey for what it is. I think this experience sealed me not returning

I went to 1330 on the River for Valentine's Day. I had an early reservation before replacing the reservation when I saw they were doing a Valentine's Day special. Firstly I will say the food absolutely delicious! The drink I got was always wonderful! Which is why I'd recommend and even go back. However, while they promoted special items for Valentine's Day and drinks we weren't offered any other menu. Which was fine, however it wasn't what was advertised. The waitress we had was super nice, but it also seemed a bit spacey and didn't really know her menu. When I asked her about a drink that 1330 posted on their instagram story she had no clue what it was and just bought me a random one. Which again ended up being delicious, so no harm no foul. Over all, it was fine nothing wowing but I'd easily go back to experience there outdoor area, and try some more food.

Great location by the water on East Bank of the Flats in downtown Cleveland. We visited on 4th of July. Mom had a salad and a wagyu burger and I had a salmon blt with Brussels sprouts. Also had the NY cheesecake for dessert. Everything was very good and our server McKenna was the best. She always checked on us and even assisted Mom getting to the restroom. Great time! We will be back.

Service was really good. Great music and vibes overall. Had the glizzies. They were okay. Batter to dog ratio was off. More hot dog than breading. Flavor was cool. Served with the basics hot sauce and mustard. I was hoping for a chicken and waffle or biscuit and gravy so nothing on the menu spoke to me. I opted out of being anything else. And because I hadn't eaten I didn't try drinks. My friend got the French toast (not pictured). He said he'd recommend it as a small sweet bite but the portion was small. Overall, I'd likely return for the vibes and to try additional menu items.

Great food and friendly service. The salmon wasn't dry or overcooked and the fries were very nicely seasoned. The chicken alfredo was also delicious. I'm sure the outdoor seating would be nice when it's not 20 degrees outside!

I went with a group and sat in the lower area. It was a wonderful area just a little cold due to the weather. The staff was friendly and attentive. I had the brussel sprouts, chicken tacos, and fries. It was all really good. The brussel sprouts were tossed in the really good sauce and roasted. The chicken tacos were really flavorful and filling. Loved it. The truffle fries were tasty as well. I would love to check this out when it's nicer weather. It has a beautiful view of the water and city. Look forward to going back again.

Great stop the morning after a wedding, we had some brunch and I'm still thinking about the potato wedges. So crispy and delicious, I'd go back just for them. Burger was tasty, breakfast tacos were solid - but the wedges were gamechangers. Extremely friendly service, great views of bots coming into the harbor. Odd lack of patrons being the only ones in there, but the fries were 5/5 stars.

Came here for my wife's birthday a while back and had a lovely meal experience out on the back patio facing the Cuyahoga river. The restaurant was able to accommodate our large-ish party and provide my wife with a memorable birthday celebration. We ordered a few appetizers to share, and then folks each ordered their own main entrees. For the table, we got both a Brussels sprouts appetizer as well as two sushi rolls, which were surprisingly fresh and tasty. Brussels sprouts were large in size, split lengthwise and lightly fried topped with a drizzle. My wife wanted an entree salad for dinner, and ordered the wild arugula salad. It came topped with pears, candied walnuts, goat cheese and a champagne vinaigrette dressing which she really enjoyed. I was in the mood for red meat, so I ordered one of their burgers. The Zeke BBQ burger came topped with caramelized onions, jalapenos, cheddar cheese and of course BBQ sauce. The jalapenos gave this burger an extra kick, compared to other si9mialr versions I've had elsewhere. It held up well under the grilled brioche bun, and the accompanying fries were crisp and delicious. After the meal, our server brought out a slice of cheesecake for my wife, a rally nice finishing touch to the meal. Definitely will return to this spot, a great place to bring visitors to show off our city a little bit!

This place was absolutely delicious! We had a reservation on a weekend evening but it wasn't very packed when we went. We ordered the Hawaiian chicken and the 1330 Brussels sprouts to start, and split the pesto pasta and added salmon. The 1330 brussel sprouts were a DREAM (I'm drooling thinking about them now), but the chicken was a little dry, and not quite what I was expecting (I thought there would be more breading). The pasta was very creamy and delicious and the salmon was so flaky! We did struggle to get the attention of the waiters, and it took quite a while for the food to actually come out to us. We ordered the apps first and they didn't come back to ask us for our main course order until we were nearly done eating the appetizers, which was a bit frustrating. Overall would definitely come back but plan to spend longer than expected waiting for the food.

    Deck view up the river

We have visited dining establishments all over the USA and in 7 countries in Europe. In our travels we have had many fun, exciting and often unexpected adventures. This morning we stumbled into another such adventure right here in the middle of Cleveland. We have been wanting to sit out on the rear deck of "1330 on the River" and enjoy a meal looking out at the river. However, deck seating is first come first serve. You can not make a reservation specifically for the deck. It seemed the most promising time to accomplish this would be early brunch on a Sunday morning. Brunch starts at 11:30 am so we made our reservation for 11:45 and kept our fingers crossed. Unfortunately we never thought about the Browns game that would be going on at the same time. So yesterday morning we headed downtown for our reservation. The traffic was completely out of control. Police had both East 9th & 3rd street exits blocked off so we were forced to head to the West 28th street exit. Well we didn't get far and found ourselves trapped in a long line standing still. Clearly we were not going to make our reservation at this rate. So with some quick maneuvers I got over to 44th and headed through the back streets. We got to "1330 River" 3 minutes before our reservation. I pulled on the front door and... it was locked?! Confusion spread across our faces. Watches were checked. Calendars were scrutinized. Website was investigated. We were here on the right day at the right time and they were supposed to have opened 15 minutes ago. So we looked around for an alternate entrance but there was nothing. I called the restaurant and got an answering machine. We wandered around for a few minutes trying to decide if we should just leave and suddenly a young lady appeared along side us at the door. She was also trying to get in. When she found the door locked she was a bit more forceful than I had been and she began pounding on the glass. I asked if she was here for a reservation and she replied with a sheepish grin, "No, I work here and I'm running late because of the traffic". We explained our situation and she invited us to join her while she got ready to open. So we did. We entered the empty restaurant and she sat us at our choice of table out on the deck overlooking the river. She introduced herself as Emmy (as in the award) and said she would be right back with a fresh pot of coffee. In a short while she returned with our coffee and place settings as well as menus. By all appearances we were going to have the entire restaurant to ourselves for the foreseeable future. It actually was quite pleasant wandering around at will with no one else to contend with. It was as if I had reserved the entire restaurant just for us (that's what I told my wife). The river view was wonderful and charming. All the parking lots we could see were filled with Browns fans tailgating. I must say, it was an experience unlike any I had ever had. We were in a tiny oasis in the midst of all the craziness of the city going full blast. A short while later our private server showed up with our marvelous breakfasts (see pics) and we indulged. The bacon wrapped figs were excellent. The breakfast included jumbo eggs, crisp bacon, great potatoes and Texas toast. Several cups of coffee and a lot of excellent food later we were finished and quite satisfied. We were still the only ones in the establishment. We indulged ourselves by relaxing on the deck a while longer, engaging in some very pleasant conversation with Emmy (who really had very little else to do). Eventually we decided we had had enough fun and it was time to go. So we paid our bill, said goodbye to Emmi and exited through the entire EMPTY restaurant out the front door (see pic). What started out with the potential to be a quite annoying experience ended up as a wonderful adventure. All thanks to a very kind young lady and some plain old fashion luck. I say give this establishment a try.

We had a very nice meal. I loved the salmon with risotto. Great view to be by the river and watch the boats. New waitress but she was super nice and kept double checking to make sure all was correct.

    Wagyu Burger

This was our first time at 1330 since it was the old East End, and it was a great experience! The food was tremendous- they had a St. Patty's menu with some Corned Beef Egg Rolls that were perfect, and some Lemon Goatcheese Balls and a aioli that was just incredible. My girlfriend had a Ceasar salad and added beats and it was really well done. I had a burger, and while I would've like a little more seasoning- the ingredients and trimmings were fresh and the Wagyu was on point! Our friends had the brussel sprouts and said they were some of the best they've had. Portions were gigantic. Great fries too! Staff was friendly and fast and Zeke showed us a really nice time. Definitely will be back.

But yesterday my wife and I decided to get involved with the festivities in Gorden Square/Battery Park. So on a brisk but sunny day we drove down to Battery Park in Cleveland and visited "All Saints Public House" for a tall glass of Guinness and a dish of Cabbage and Noodles topped with a Bratwurst. The Battery Park area is a wonderful part of town and a fun place to visit. "All Saints" is a great ethnic bar/restaurant. It's dark, moody, warm, full of awesome people, and just a great place to be. The lady and gentleman that waited on us were really great and made us feel right at home. We sat and talked and watched "Gone with the Wind", drank a wonderfully satisfying Guinness (on tap), and ate some of the best Cabbage and Noodles I've ever had, with an excellent Bratwurst on top. Turns out, Dyngus Day is a load of fun... and I'm still not sure what it is?

We ordered beers and as luck would have it, I was able to order their last available rack of ribs for the evening (my go-to barbecue item)! We also got some beef brisket and a few sides to share. Overall the meats were tasty, but there were a few issues with the meal. The ribs had a nice dry rub seasoning on them and were quite tender. The brisket also had a good bark, but was a tad dry. In terms of available sauces, the Kansas City sauce was thick and tangy, but the Proof sauce was not good at all...I just could not put my finger on what about it I didn't like n its flavor profile. The coleslaw was shredded with vinegar and quite dry, the mac-n-cheese was only semi-gooey and the fries (although tasty) were limp from being undercooked. Bottom line was thumbs up on the meats and thumbs sideways (or down) on the sides. Wil most certainly give them another try as I am a BBQ junky, hoping the outcomes are slightly better.

Since the Metropolitan is home to an apartment complex, an upscale hotel, a rooftop bar, a dog park, a Pilates studio, a theater, a basement vault bar, and a "high-end" eatery, there's a whole lot of people constantly coming and going. Sitting at the four (five?) two-person tables situated right at the balcony railing means you can easily lean over and watch people come and go while sipping your drinks. Unlike the rest of the bars in the hotel, I was told there was no drink menu at the Ledger, and the bartender (who waited my table!) simply asked what flavor profile I was desiring tonight. The resulting drink he made was honestly good, and I really enjoyed it. Zero idea what was in it to ever order it again (and he was really overworked to ask!), but it was a neat experience of a "craft your own experience". There were a few beers on tap. I'm unsure about wine. Centro's food menu (restaurant downstairs) appears to be available here. There's a single unisex bathroom within steps of the bar, and the regular hotel lobby bathrooms are down a floor. As conference rooms are nearby this bar, I'd also probably guess there's a large conference room bathroom block too, but I didn't find that one. The rest of the bars and restaurants in the Metropolitan tend to take most of the attention here, and the Ledger has a much more laid-back, chill vibe. A lot of people were watching a sports game (baseball, I think?) on the TV behind me. With the smaller space and wide "open" area of the full lobby, the Ledger feels like your calmest, quietest bar option out of the available places at the Metropolitan.
