Now this place is a quintessential representation of the term "hidden gem" if I do say so myself. It's tucked away in a corner of Tremont on an unassuming street with an all black exterior sitting between apartments and ordinary homes in the neighborhood. It definitely gives off a mysterious vibe, kinda gets you curious as to what's inside. The moment you open the door there's splashes or color in every corner, a sexy marble bar with under lighting, a neon sign lighting up the phrase "forget me not," and as you weave your way through towards the back patio, each room greets you with a fun surprise of unique decor. Butterfly wallpaper, funky art, feather boas, and more. It honestly felt like we weren't in Cleveland anymore. As for the service, our bartender was awesome. He asked if it was our first time in and since it was, he explained the menu in detail and gave us suggestions based on what we tend to like. My friend went with a custom mocktail and I landed on the calla lily cocktail. It came with Watershed gin, lemon bitters, a sparkling white wine, and a few other ingredients I'm not privy to. It was strong, but smooth. It definitely left me curious to try more of the menu but alas, I don't live in Cleveland, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to return. This is 100% a place to take a date if you're wanting to impress, a spot to grab a drink with a small group of friends, or a cool bar to explore if you're visiting from out of town and enjoy a wonderful craft cocktail. Flower on Freeman is a super chic cocktail bar on the edge of Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood. It is impeccably decorated and designed and could easily be in found in someplace like LA or New York. The space is pretty cozy and intimate, which was especially felt as I came in on a cold, snowy December day. The bar had maybe 6 or so seats and the marble on it is beautiful and has awesome underlighting. Their cocktail menu is pretty expansive, with lots of really descriptive drink options. You can choose a drink based on a desired flavor profile and base alcohol. The bartender was super nice and helpful. I wanted to get a mocktail, they had a few on the menu to choose from, but the bartender ended up making me something. The space is small and cozy up front, but they also have another area in the back for a small group. They also seem to have a really nice patio. Flower on Freeman could very easily be on the pages of Vogue or serve as SATC set. It's a floral fairyland with flower and butterfly wallpaper, distinct scent of lilies, golden accents, eclectic art, and completely different moods in the light and after dark. I'll share my only experience - Flower on Freeman after dark. AMBIANCE: Vibrant and girly by day, by night this space is a sultry speakeasy. The marble backlit bar reminds me of long forgotten Lola bar. The space has scattered candles and live flowers, golden accents illuminated by candlelight, and it's perfectly dim. Jazzy lounge music adds to the atmosphere. With the scent of lilies, quite frankly you feel transported to the moon garden. I am a huge speakeasy lover, so this was my vibe. I can absolutely see how this would be a perfect space for an intimate date by night, and laughter-filled brunch with girlfriends by day. On a weekday, the place had only a few guests and created a relaxing atmosphere. In terms of seating, you can it the bar, the main space or back room. All have comfy velvet furniture and comfortable accent tables for true relaxation. FOOD/DRINKS: I had every intention to order caviar specialties. Unfortunately, during my visit, only plant-based caviar was available. Plant-based caviar didn't fit into my vision, so I reached into other parts of the menu proceeding with the flower theme. It seemed like the caviar change was only for this week. The menu expanded considerably since from the online versions. On its pages, you'll find seasonal and signature cocktails, dessert drinks, wines, pours, beers, seltzers, free spirit drinks, small plates, and sweets. There's something for every palette and mood. To drink I ordered Bee Bright, Honey cocktail ($17), which was lemon-forward with subtle hints of lavender, and just slightly boozy. To eat, I ordered Family Pate ($15), which featured tasty chicken pate. It's extremely hard to please an Eastern European with pate due to some variations being obnoxiously strong. Not here, it was perfectly light and creamy. Elderberries atop the pate made me consider that I wasn't eating pate right this whole time. I also ordered Feta Whip & Beet Dip Fresh Vegetables ($13) that was also creamy and delicious veggie charcuterie spin. Initially dessert wasn't part of my plan, but I had to have Persian Love Cake ($12) and paired it with an espresso ($8). Persian Love Cake had lovely hints of rose and was on the sweeter side. Espresso had sugar but was very smooth. SERVICE: The service is very warm. It feels unhurried. The bartender recommended pairing options to me talking me out of Rose Milk Tea and Persian Love Cake, suggesting to try an espresso. The bartenders also assemble the food. I felt incredibly welcome. EVENTS: This establishment announced high tea party awhile back. Hopefully it's coming very soon! It's an ideal environment for feminine high tea day. I really enjoyed my nighttime experience - speakeasy mood, warm atmosphere, delightful foods, and well crafted cocktails. My friends and I went to Flower on Freeman around 6pm on a Thursday evening. We were the only customers at the time, so we had free range to sit wherever we wanted. We snagged a corner booth towards the front of the lounge. It was my first time at Flower on Freeman, and I had an overall great time. I enjoyed my cocktail, and the beautiful decor was noteworthy. I did find the space to be too dimly lit, which made it hard for me to see the menu, but nothing my phone flashlight couldn't fix. Joey was the main bartender, and he was an awesome mixologist. He let me know that they were missing an ingredient to make their Bee's Knees specialty cocktail but said he could make any cocktail to my liking. I gave him my palate (gin-based, sweet, and creamy e.g. from egg whites) and referenced the Ramos Gin Fizz as one of my favorite cocktails. Joey crafted an excellent drink for me. read more

It's intimate, gorgeous, and just eclectic enough. We got to have our first drinks on the patio, and then were able to move inside when it started to rain. The bartenders were just amazing! Matty and Chris were so sweet and super helpful in sorting g through the menu. Every drink was amazing, the standouts were the violet dreams and the key lime pie with my personal favorite being the bee bright honey. Charcuterie for 3 was FULL. Absolutely gorgeous. What a darling little spot. I can't say enough about the ambiance and vibe at Flower. Every detail is so cute and cozy. I felt like I was on a posh perfume commercial. The spot is bigger than I was expecting. Lots of room at the bar, good sized room with tables up front. We were seated in the back, where everything was just as lovely. The benches and seats were very comfortable. I had the First Class cocktail and it was delicious. We all got something different to try and each drink was beautiful and impressive. Nothing on the food menu really spoke to us, so we didn't stay long. They have caviar and chips, a meat heavy cheese board, and a pickled shrimp something or other, so pretty limited options. A teahouse on a psychedelic garden trip - in the best way possible. Melissa Cole's latest venture is an utterly chic and dreamy lounge with a heavy emphasis on a floral theme (it's literally in the name, after all), and such a treat to indulge in. Look for the beautiful hanging metal flower marking the bar, and indulge you will. Parking is hit or miss on the street, but free if you can find a spot. You can enter via the main door and head straight to the bar, perhaps stopping to admire the colorfully upholstered banquette and armchairs, or mosey in through the patio and claim a seat next to the inset fireplace. Or make yourself comfy in the back parlor, where quirky paintings evocative of Alice in Wonderland hang, and where you might get a glimpse of Cole's cuddly dog Jonah. Wherever you choose, you'll be surrounded by genuine fresh and artificial flowers. Even the light fixtures are blooming flowers, and tasseled curtains gently obscure hardware that would be too jarring against the mix of verdant hues. Even the two restrooms blend perfectly into the garden, with butterfly wallpaper over the walls and sliding doors. Each stall even has its own sink. Be sure to use the latch to lock the door, located near the top corner! Enough about the digs though. My friends and I came just to try some of their cocktails, which, in line with the theme, lean sweet and floral. Don't be scared off by the prices on the first few cocktails on the menu, as the others listed are more typical of higher end cocktail bars, particularly those that have more unique and seasonal ingredients. There are twists on classics like the Rose Margarita and Dahlia Rise (a tropical mule), and other tart treats featuring sweeteners like rhubarb liquor or yuzu juice. Then, there are the actual dessert drinks, for those who like to drink without tasing alcohol. We didn't get a chance to sample any of the bar snacks, but their charcuterie options look divine. We felt nothing but warmth from all the staff present and enjoyed all our drinks, even if they were on the sweeter side. So pleased to have another classy cocktail lounge option besides Velvet Tango Room away from the W 25th revelers, and I can't wait to see more flower explosions come spring. read more

There is a lot of communal seating, which makes it great for a large group . I ordered the Rose Margarita, and it was a well-crafted cocktail. It tasted as good as it looked.
