What an amazing experience, thanks to David. Truly one of the best fish dishes I've ever tasted. This place rivals many expensive fine dining places in the city while staying affordable. I had called the restaurant prior to inquire about the menu and was recommend by David to order the cod. I came back 2 hours later and was warmly greeted by him and he still remembered my call from earlier! He assured me I would get a large portion after I mentioned my budget. Inside was busy but not crowded. Lots of servers up and about. Very modern interior, clean bathroom as well. Per recommendation, I went with the crab crusted cod and oh my goodness, was it delicious. The crab topping was perfect texture wise and and had a slightly sweet flavor you expect of fresh crab. The cod was so tender, fall apart in your mouth type and was perfectly seasoned with a sauce to go on top. Fish had a slight spicy kick and that elevated the flavor beyond your typical cod fish, I suspect it was Cajun seasoning. The vegetable base was expctional as well. Fresh rice along with zucchini and corn all drizzled with the same delicious tangy sauce as the fish. At the end of the meal I complimented him on his recommendation and he told me their secret is the fish is always fresh from the morning, never frozen. And the cherry on top is this whole plate of food was only $26. For such a tasty, fresh, and large portion, that price is a steal. For context BJ Brewhouse next door will charge 36 for a tiny 5 oz fillet and mushy rice. Overall this cod was the best cod I have ever tasted and ranks among the top 2 pieces of fish I've ever eaten. Having tasted fish from Hawaii, California, Florida this cod dish at the price point of $26 easily surpasses $50 fish dishes I've had at fine dining restaurant in Cleveland and abroad. I had such a great Friday late lunch at Kitchen Social. The location was really cute, surrounded by lots of nice shops, a movie theater etc. Parking was relatively easy. There is street parking and also a garage nearby. The restaurant itself was so large and had a really nice ambiance. Since the weather was nice they had opened the windows / garage doors that are made of glass so that there was lots is fresh air in the restaurant. After ordering, our food came out quickly. I'll be honest I wasn't necessarily impressed with this place but it's good for what it is. Very spacious and clean inside, especially the bathrooms. We were able to sit at the bar but I will say the person that was serving us was not very attentive and it took us getting her attention multiple times. She eventually switched with someone else who was much more attentive. I ordered the tempura shrimp bowl and it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Went here yesterday with a friend of mine and wanted to try something new. They sat us right away since we made a reservation but put us at a table all the way in the back that was secluded from the rest of the restaurant. It was awkward. My friend also mentioned she wanted to move but didn't ask. Our server came over to take our order but I didn't have a chance to look at the menu yet as I got there after my friend and he grabbed the menu I was looking at out of my hand and was trying to explain the specials but he was talking so fast I couldn't understand what was going on and I was surprised he just pulled it right out of my hand as I was looking at the menu. I did make my server aware that I had a nut allergy. I ordered the double stacked burger with fries which was good but it had a 'special sauce' and I did want to make sure there was no nuts in it or anything I was allergic to. He said he would ask and find out but never came back to check on us. Another lady (manager?) came and brought the food out and I never found out if the sauce had nuts in it or not. I like to be cautious with allergies when eating out and was nervous that he never let me know even when food was out nothing was mentioned. I also asked for no pickles and pickles were put on. When we did arrive and were looking at the menu, our server kept rushing us to order and would say you're fine since I'm not busy now. Um ok? The service was really awkward but the food was really good, I just didn't think communication was good. It did get to be dinner hour after we got there and then he was missing and we had to wait a long time to pay our bill. It was chaotic and overall the experience was just subpar. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Cleveland area, but my most recent visit didn't measure up. For dinner, my boyfriend and I sat along the windows in the front of the restaurant. It was so dark! There was no light above us or illuminating out table. The restaurants also had a musician there. He was great but it was too loud for the space. There were no soft surfaces to absorb sound so it make the restaurants incredibly loud. The food was good. We started with their biscuits and they were delicious as always. My boyfriend got the fish and chips while I got salad and a pizza. The pizza was only okay, but the salad was tasty. I'd definitely eat here again, but I'd ask to sit in the main portion of the restaurants and not by the windows. read more

Service wasn't great, wasn't terrible but I don't know I was expecting a little better for the vibe of the place. To drink I had the strawberry lemonade, it was fine but was kind of watered down and was $4. The food was really good though! I had the pimento burger with a simple side salad. I got the lemon vinaigrette with the salad and it was absolutely delicious, very much enjoyed. The burger was a classic smash burger with double patties and pimento cheese which was quite tasty. There was obviously a wait, which was fine, but the 4-5 employees standing around the hostess stand seemed more confused and interested in talking to each other than anything else. We wandered back at the 45 minute mark and continued to wait while numerous tables sat empty waiting to be cleared with 4 employees just standing and chatting around the hostess area. Once we were seated, everything was just off - bringing out one drink at a time, multiple servers not communicating, food didn't come out all at once and then once we had food, we had to wait for silverware and napkins. Love the ambiance, bright, airy, and classy. I live in Vegas now and it reminds me of one of the restaurants I'd find there, but, with way better prices! We started out with the biscuits and wow, I'd go back just for those. Sooooooo good and the butter just pushes it over the top. My friend got the chicken salad and she said it was great! This is American food with a twist, and I think the twist was over promised. The cheddar scallion biscuits had great texture, but did not have much cheddar or scallion taste. The honey butter also didn't seem to mesh with the dish - it caused it to be too greasy with no added flavor. The breakfast tacos had flavorful side potatoes and tasty chicken tenders, although the sauce and syrup didn't seem to mesh well with the dish.
