Wasn't my first time at Heck's, but it never disappoints! I always get the burger au cheval and since today we came for brunch, I also got the home fries. I will say the service wasn't as great as usual, but I assume it's because it was Mother's Day and busy. But the staff were all super nice. Loved the burger as always, but the homefries were just a tad soggy. Still really enjoyed!

Heck's Cafe is truly a staple when it comes to brunch--you literally can't go wrong here. The menu has such a great variety, so there's something for everyone no matter what you're in the mood for. The food was really good, especially the home fries and sausage links--both were cooked perfectly and super satisfying. The French toast was a standout for me though. It was so flavorful and honestly tasted like a warm cinnamon roll... sooo good. Our waiter, Sarah, was really nice and gave some great recommendations, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was also really nice--busy in a good way with people coming and going, and the music surprised me in the best way. It had more of an urban vibe, which I loved. I love Heck's--it's always a solid choice for brunch!

Conveniently located off of Chagrin Boulevard and Richmond RD. The evening was a Holiday gathering with friends. Our server Olivia was pleasant and helpful. The bar and restaurant were nicely decorated for the holidays. Five of us were putting a half booth. It was a tad cramped so we asked for a chair that we put on the end. Olivia was very helpful in moving a chair. This worked much better. I had the Merry Berry Cocktail which was like a margarita with cranberry and Rosemary. It came in a little bottle that you poured yourself. It was good, but could have had more flavor. It was a bit bland. For dinner, I had the Miso Gkazed Salmon over bok choy with sweet potato medallions. It had a cashew crunch dusting on top. It was good, but nothing special. Again, on the bland side. It was overpriced at $35.00. I'd return, but would opt for a burger I e fish tacos. Those looked amazing. The salmon just wasn't something I'd return for. Recommend this for the service and burgers. :-)

First of all I loved the vibe of the building it's very well decorated with a nice ambiance. Our server was very attentive and nice. We came right at opening for a Saturday brunch and left full and happy! We got the Ohio breakfast and the Baklava French toast.

Ambiance, decor, greenery were all so on point and pretty! Came here to dine with a friend and we had a great time. Our server was very friendly and accommodating and we felt like we were being taken care of. However, for a Monday evening, it was busier than expected and the speed of everything was extra slow. I had to remind and repeat some requests and questions for the server. Menu was straightforward and appealing. My burger was delicious and fries were crisp. The appetizer portions were on the small side. I wasn't impressed with their desserts. They were very pricey but the descriptions didn't match the content. The blondie sundae we ordered was overly dense, not particularly good and not really a blondie brownie. The chocolate flourless cake was also way too thick and sweet. Heard good things about the bread pudding so will be trying that next time.

Beautiful restaurant, very classy inside. Busy place during lunch on a Wednesday. Food was out in ten min though! Brieberry burger was perfectly cooked to order. Onion rings were nice and hot and crispy with a spicy aioli. Calamari was also nice and crispy but did lack a sauce to come with it would could be an improvement.

Good food and service. I stumbled onto this place and had no background info prior to walking in. They had good happy hour specials both food and drink. I had the NY strip and it was good. Personally, I don't like when the steak is cut up for me. Just a preference. It came with roasted peppers and fried potato wedges. They were good but I prefer a sauce or ketchup which they provided when requested. The French onion soup was good. All the food was slightly warm, not hot. No biggie. I would return.

This place does a delicious burger that's super juicy and flavorful. My friend and I ordered the Avon Burger and the Market Burger. We each loved the variety of creative toppings and thought the flavors complimented one another perfectly. The eggplant dip was the low point of the meal as we thought it had a bizarre flavor. They have a nice enough patio that we sat on and the inside decor looks cool too! Our service was good too! I'll definitely be back!

    Tamarind Jalepeno margarita and Upbeet

We started with the tamarind jalapeño margarita and upbeat drink and they were both phenomenal. We then had the brieberry Burger and blackened salmon burger with fries and grilled vegetables. Everything was excellent. Something you just a good burger and Heck's delivers on that. As well you want good fries to pair with your burger and these fries delivered. We left full and satisfied.

Went last minute for Valentines Day. This was my first time at this location and it was good. I got the crab cakes and the portion was small but still tasty.

Honestly the place was nice the atmosphere was very dim could have used a pop of light on the center piece of the dinning area. Service was a bit slow but it was Saturday night that's to be expected. I didn't feed my phone like i typically do. The chicken meatballs were phenomenal definitely recommend, my steak was cooked well to me it was just missing substance. They served it with a gravy not a fan. But those wedges made up for it all they were so crazy good

We had a mixed experience last night. The location is very nice with a casual atmosphere. We were seated quickly, and our server promptly took our drink order. I had a delicious bacon Bloody Mary. We ordered appetizers--roasted eggplant spread and calamari--which were both tasty and sized for sharing. For our entrees, I had the Beachwood burger, and my wife ordered the salmon burger without tomatoes. The food arrived quickly. My burger looked great, but my wife's had tomatoes on it despite her request. She informed the server, who took it back and returned two minutes later with the same burger, now without tomatoes. Since my wife is allergic to raw tomatoes, she asked for it to be remade. They complied and remade the burger. My burger was cooked to a perfect medium, but the meat lacked seasoning, which was disappointing for an $18 burger. Also my fries were supposed to be rosemary, but I didn't taste any. My wife enjoyed her salmon burger but noted that the seasoning was only on the outside of the patty. It might have been an off night for the kitchen, so I'll give it another try, but for now, it's a 3-star experience at best. Full disclosure, they did comp the Salmon burger and offered us complimentary desserts.

I had called the restaurant prior to inquire about the menu and was recommend by David to order the cod. I came back 2 hours later and was warmly greeted by him and he still remembered my call from earlier! He assured me I would get a large portion after I mentioned my budget. Inside was busy but not crowded. Lots of servers up and about. Very modern interior, clean bathroom as well. Per recommendation, I went with the crab crusted cod and oh my goodness, was it delicious. The crab topping was perfect texture wise and and had a slightly sweet flavor you expect of fresh crab. The cod was so tender, fall apart in your mouth type and was perfectly seasoned with a sauce to go on top. Fish had a slight spicy kick and that elevated the flavor beyond your typical cod fish, I suspect it was Cajun seasoning. The vegetable base was expctional as well. Fresh rice along with zucchini and corn all drizzled with the same delicious tangy sauce as the fish. At the end of the meal I complimented him on his recommendation and he told me their secret is the fish is always fresh from the morning, never frozen. And the cherry on top is this whole plate of food was only $26. For such a tasty, fresh, and large portion, that price is a steal. For context BJ Brewhouse next door will charge 36 for a tiny 5 oz fillet and mushy rice. Overall this cod was the best cod I have ever tasted and ranks among the top 2 pieces of fish I've ever eaten. Having tasted fish from Hawaii, California, Florida this cod dish at the price point of $26 easily surpasses $50 fish dishes I've had at fine dining restaurant in Cleveland and abroad. Highly recommend and ask for David if you can! He'll take care of you well.

Since we were hungry, we followed another yelper's advice of getting an appetizer since we were warned the mains can take 30-40 minutes. Tasted great, super crispy on the outside, chicken not the most juicy but still tender. 4/5. Also ordered the truffle orcchiette, pork chop, and heirloom carrots. The truffle orcchiette had a great al dente texture but surprisingly compared to the other yelper reviews, was saltier than expected. 4/5 Favorites were definitely the pork chop and heirloom carrots. The pork chop came without the bone, already chopped up, and was the he most tender pork chop I've had. 5/5 The carrots were so well seasoned, with a great charred taste and came with an addicting puree. 5/5 Service was fantastic, with great recommendations. While the birthday guest was away from the table, I did sneakily ask if they do anything for birthdays, and the staff said that they do a scoop of ice cream. Since the sticky toffee pudding already came with a scoop of ice cream, they were considerate to do 2 cookies instead--the cookies weren't too sweet and reminded me of brownie batter. Sticky toffee pudding was good. 4/5 Restaurant is located in Pinecrest so parking available as free parking in a garage about a block away or as pay by mobile street parking. Eight (!) years ago my friend recommended her favorite place - The Fairmount. She emphasized that…read morethe ambiance and cocktails are something to experience. Eight years worth of Fairmount moments later, this review is well overdue. AMBIANCE: The ambiance allows you to slow down and enjoy your company. The restaurant is dim lit, has fireplaces, and loungey atmosphere. It somehow feels warm and I heard a lot of people refer to it as a second home (people are always so friendly here!). There is ample space - three bars, main dining space, and huge outdoor oasis bar. Nestled in Cedar Fairmount neighborhood, you'll also be able to enjoy historic neighborhood. There are seating arrangements if you're craving company or want to enjoy your date. Seating options include couches by the fireplace, tables, and high tops. Fairmount is delightful during every season. During the summer you can enjoy the bar and patio. In the winter you can dine at the igloos. I prefer all seasons here. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu at Fairmount is impressive and has exciting seasonal/weekly additions. You'll never get bored. The cocktails here are refined, very boozy, and very well crafted. The food is seriously delicious, and consistent every single time. I've been impressed with every dish. The dishes and drinks frequently follow the seasons. During my latest visit I enjoyed Butter Pecan Warm Cider with bourbon ($12, so bold and boozy, tastes like fall). I also ordered Fig Trouble Little China ($15, a more rich version of Old Fashioned, so delicious). I also tasted Short Rib & Risotto for the very first time ($28, such a delicious dish, every bite was just amazing). My favorites? Ah, so hard! I'll go with the Fairmount Burger! It's angus beef burger with bacon-fig chutney. It's so delicious! I can't even be serious about meat at the other burger places, this is easily the best burger in the city. My seasonal favorite? Kevin McCallister seasonal drink that resembles coquito or eggnog. The drink is topped with rice paper that includes the design of Kevin from Home Alone. It's such a fun tradition! I look forward to this drink all year and always tell the world about it! SERVICE: The service is excellent. I haven't been anywhere where service is right on point every single time. Everyone is nice - the owner, hosts, and waitstaff. You truly feel seen and like the most important guest. I've visited previously while on dates and frequently dine here solo, always had the most pleasant service. EVENTS: Many people book events here for their non-profits or companies. As far as individual events, Fairmount hosts a fun NYE party every year! PARKING: Onsite parking lot is available at the back of the building. You can enter through the front doors on Cedar or right through the parking lot door. There are numerous reasons why I love the Fairmount. I consider it to be the best dining experience in the Cedar Fairmount neighborhood of Cleveland Heights. I also love how the owner Jake is very engaged in the community and is incredibly friendly with the surrounding business owners. I'll choose this place again and again for calming ambiance, crafted cocktails, and delicious food. To many more years of Fairmount and at Fairmount!
