Awesome cute Jewish diner. Looks like a little roadside diner inside and out. Decorated for Hanukkah. Staff is super friendly and family owned. Food was perfect. Can't wait to come back to try the specials.

The theme of end of summer travel has been hitting diners for brunch/breakfast. This was probably the 3rd or 4th diner we have hit in the last couple weeks so the bar is pretty high here... LOL!!!!! Restaurant is quaint and definitely has the diner vibe going on. You can tell the diner has been really loved and needs some TLC but often times that is a sign of great food. BLT sandwich was excellent and the bite of french toast I had was just the right ending to lunch. Would recommend their side of hand cut fries. Food was great though service was inconsistent. Meal took a long time to come out and others who came in after us had their meals before our meals and we got sandwiches. Also, one of the sandwiches was not as order. Diner was busy and was hard to get service. Would highly recommend diner does get busy on weekends do plan accordingly

I just can't stop eating this waffle! It was huge and perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside!

If you are looking for a homey family style eatery, this is the place. The waitresses were talking to long time customers but still made us first timers feel welcome. My waffle was fantastic, but there was a texture issue with the eggs Benedict. Peggy, our waitress was attentive and friendly without crowding us at all. A definite throwback to the 50's and well worth the trip.

On our way home we wanted to get a bite to eat before heading back to Mansfield. We liked the classic diner facade and interior. Our waitress was fast and friendly. We decided on breakfast. My wife ordered their short stack with a side of sausage while I ordered the two egg breakfast with Gyro meat. The pancakes were huge and fluffy and I thought the quasi Greek breakfast was absolutely delicious! So happy we stopped in!

Mine: omelet was very good Fries were an affront to humanity. Zero crisp. All grease Partner: onion rings were amazing "Cheese" on burger tasted sour and ruined anything redeeming about the burger. The server was great! Andrea? Something like that. Very nice young lady on top of refills. The fries really were a travesty.

Stop at the Village Diner today. We had been by many times, on our way to Mike's Farmers Market. This is a cute, retro diner. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They have a great menu of food you would expect to see at a diner. My husband ordered the Peantbutter and jelly stuffed French toast. I had the original sourdough French toast. The food came out quickly. It was delicious!!! I highly recommend a trip to the Village Diner. You won't be disappointed!

Small cite actual mobile diner from yesteryear. Service was mediocre, very greeindly but not particularly efficient. When she delivered my don his OJ she spilled akot on the table, said whoops ans never wiped it up. It was not a busybmorning. Our food was about the same. My sons waffle wasnt cooked inside, he ate the chicken off the top, the server didnt even notice she cleared a plate with an entire waffle on it. I had lox and scrambled eggs, which was mostly undercooked onion. They tried with the hashbrowns, they used a fresh potato...but they were greasy and not crispy- bake your potatoes til they are just done, then cool them, peel and run through a cheesegrater. Hashbrowns will be crispy and starchy, and cook much faster. No charge for the advice. Dont eat here.

I really like this place. This is a longtime established restaurant, and upon visiting I understand why it's been around for so long. If you like those old style diners, this is the place for you. The old school ambiance makes it very inviting. All of your traditional breakfast favorites are on the menu - home fries, eggs any way, breakfast meats, on and on, and they are prepared very well. The service was also great to complement the food. I could eat breakfast at any hour so I wish the hours were longer. Still, I'll be back to this popular little neighborhood corner diner.

My husband and I were in Cleveland for a conference, and we decided to check out The Village Diner for an early Saturday morning breakfast before our drive home to Indiana. At first glance, I loved the architecture- a retro exterior, so we definitely had to try it. We were welcomed by a friendly waitstaff, and after we were seated our friendly server quickly served our drinks and took our order. My gyro breakfast was very delicious, and I especially enjoyed the thicker than usual toast. Our coffee cups were refreshed often, and it certainly helped start our day for the drive home. We are glad we took the chance with this charming diner!!

Visiting Cleveland this week. Thanks to Yelp thought I would try the Village Diner. Got here a little before noon just before the lunch rush. Looks like the "locals/regulars" eat here often. Love it when people are greeted on a first name basis. The Mushroom cheese burger was very good. Love when the cheese is melted under the broiler. Fries served nice and hot. The place is very clean. People are friendly. Worth a visit.

Sorry if I'm giving you whiplash. But like.... things change ok? Hahah. The food is decent, really. Depending on who is cooking it varies between 3-4 stars. The cleanliness though. Barf. Thinking about it gives me the heebie jeebies. Once there was food caked to the silverware. Another time there was lipstick prints on a cup. This time there were weird floaty things in the water that no matter how many new glasses we asked for, they were there. At this point, even though I don't mind their food at all, I'm not going back. The health department needs to get in there stat!

The atmosphere felt genuine and community-driven. The food was the highlight-easily one of the most creative, thoughtful, and flavorful breakfast experiences I've had in the area in a long time. The originality of the dishes really stood out. The grits, in particular, were excellent-something that's surprisingly easy to get wrong, but they executed perfectly. One of the most impressive aspects was the takeout quality. I ordered a meal to go and didn't eat it until 15-20 minutes later, yet it still held up incredibly well-no reheating needed. That level of consistency is hard to achieve. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot to friends and colleagues. This time, I brought my family along for lunch, and it did not disappoint! We took advantage of their happy hour specials, which included half-off pizzas, select appetizers, and drinks. We started with the Street Corn Nachos and added grilled chicken. They were absolutely incredible--easily some of the best nachos we've ever had. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and every bite was delicious. We also ordered the whipped feta, which was simply divine and a must-try. For our entrées, one person ordered the pepperoni pizza and really enjoyed it. I had the sausage pasta, which was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly light while still being incredibly satisfying. The third entrée was the Thai noodles , and it was another hit. Everyone commented on how fresh and well-prepared their meal was. The service, as always, was impeccable. We were greeted immediately and seated right away. What really stands out about this restaurant is the teamwork. Everyone pitches in, whether it's bringing out food, clearing plates, or noticing your water glass is getting low. It doesn't matter if they're your server or not--they make sure you're taken care of, and that level of hospitality really makes a difference. The restaurant is also spotless, and I love that the open kitchen allows you to watch the team preparing the food. It adds to the overall experience and shows how much care goes into every dish. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or happy hour, this place consistently delivers. Great food, outstanding service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a beautiful space make this one of my favorite restaurants in the Cleveland area. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated, which wasn't a problem. We were enjoying time with family and looking forward to a good meal. The problem started AFTER we were seated. The hostess took our drink order but told us she only takes drink orders. Then we waited another 30 minutes without anyone greeting us or taking our food order. At one point, another waitress actually said, "I see you looking at me, but I'm not taking your order." Wow. Eventually, a very nice waitress came over and took care of us. She was great! Our food came out fairly quickly, everything was hot and delicious, and the price was reasonable at around $20 per person. Meanwhile, three hostesses were standing at the front singing and harmonizing with no customers instead of helping the clearly overwhelmed waitstaff. It felt like they were preparing to be discovered on American Idol while we were waiting just to place an order. There was no manager around to address the situation, and at one point, the restaurant even started getting smoky. The food was good and our eventual waitress was wonderful, but waiting nearly an hour from arrival just to place a food order is unacceptable. Great food. Great waitress once we got one. The parking lot is tiny, crowded, busy; probably room for 6-7 legit spots. We had to park on the lawn. This place does not do reservations but I really wanted to dine in. Welp, there were only 4 tables in all in this whole building. Each table was full up and no one had food (always a terrible sign that service is snail's pace). There was no one there to greet us but a line of 3 customers at the counter standing before us and then immediately a family of 4 who entered after us. There seemed to be 1 worker who was the hostess, the waiter and busser. She very slowly handed out drinks to a table and asked if anyone in line was picking up an order--that answer was a resounding silence as it seemed everyone wanted to dine in. No more acknowledgement was given to the people in line. I noticed this place does not have real serve ware but only plastic takeout containers for DINE-IN...that seems super cheap, tacky and actually very wasteful for plastic one-use things. They didn't even invest in real cups as all waters and drinks were served in microplastic heavy styrofoam cups. We took this all in and stood in line for about 5 minutes before deciding this would definitely not be worth it for a 2hr wait. I'm happy for the people who are actually able to try the food here but as someone who does not want to wait hours for my piping hot food with a side of microplastics, I'm totally good.
