Capriccio's may be new to Solon, but judging by the consistently packed parking lot, word has already spread--and for good reason! This spot brings a shareable Italian dining experience, meaning large portions that don't compromise on flavor. For me, the true test of an Italian restaurant is its red sauce, and Capriccio's nailed it--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Whether poured over pasta or served alongside hearty entrées, you can taste the quality in every bite. And speaking of pasta, they make theirs fresh, which adds an extra layer of authenticity and texture to every dish! Beyond the incredible food, they offer craft cocktails, which immediately caught my attention because, well, I'm a low-key cocktail snob--the more intricate, the better! Their drinks are thoughtfully prepared, adding a perfect complement to the meal. Now, let's talk about dessert--because their Biscoff cheesecake is TOP TIER. Creamy, rich, and full of that buttery Biscoff goodness, it's a must-try. The server was very attentive and knowledgeable. Tip: Make a reservation Capriccio's is tucked away enough to make it an ideal date night spot--whether with your partner or your sneaky link (no judgment here!). I'll definitely be back for more of their authentic flavors and cozy vibes! read more

Visited Capriccios for the first time on Christmas Eve. What a great experience starting with the free valet parking to the great food. I sat at the bar and got great service. They have a nice happy hour that includes food and beverages. I had the meatball bombs on the happy hour menu and a glass of Pinot Noir. The bombs were the bomb! I also placed a to go order of Shrimp Fra Diavolo and chicken Alfredo from the BYO pasta section. Both were large portions and very good. The Diavolo had great heat and was perfect for me. All the packaging was very nice. A super quaint Italian bistro that has great food and service. I can't wait to return and have dinner again. read more

3.5 but rounding up! Food was all really solid, very fresh tasting marinara on the arancini and the mozzarella to start. Variety of entrees at the table, the chicken piccata ha da light fresh taste, the Alfredo sauce was very good. Build your own pasta with cavatelli, vodka sauce and sausage was good! The noodles were really great, the sauce had a nice rich flavor with some peppery flavor. Didn't love that the sausage wasn't crumbled. The meatballs were just ok. Service was a little slow but that's mostly just because we were all tired and in a bit of a hurry haha! Ambience was very cute, nice quiet vibe but still lively and open read more

The food was delicious and the service was great. Unfortunately they were short staffed so what was meant to be a quick dinner was quite lengthy however the manager and staff were gracious and attentive. Will definitely return. read more

First visit to Capriccio in Solon, and it was a pleasant surprise. We tried a few different dishes, and everything was done thoughtfully and well. The eggplant parmesan appetizer was cooked just right--the eggplant itself was perfectly tender, not mushy and not underdone, which is harder to get right than it sounds. The pizza was excellent. Well-balanced toppings, and I especially enjoyed the chunks of garlic and the balsamic glaze, which added depth without overpowering the rest of the flavors. The pasta was also spot on, and the added grilled chicken was nicely prepared--well seasoned, and a good complement to the sauce rather than an afterthought. What really makes Capriccio appealing is that it's a comfortable, neighborly, casual spot, conveniently right next door to where we live--exactly the kind of place you're happy to have in your neighborhood. Special thanks to our server, Lovell, who was friendly, attentive, and helped make the evening even more enjoyable. Overall, a very solid first experience. Good execution, flavorful food, and a menu that feels familiar but done with care. We'll definitely be back to try more. read more

Always look for a great Italian restaurant when out of town. This spot recently opened maybe 6 to 8 weeks ago. Ok before I get to the food, have to talk about the inside. The setup sorry to say is awful! If you do not like small spaces this is not the spot for you. I hate small spaces, so the ambiance really ruined the experience for me. There is a large like L shaped booth with four tables in front of them. It felt like we were eating with the tables to each side of us, it is that close. And don't be on the bigger side you will not slide into that booth with our knocking the other tables. The tables themselves were a very small area was difficult to hold our plates and drinks and menu at same time. I had put the menus next to me on the booth. So yes definitely was not a fan of that. Now the food and service. Service was good. Our server, she was very nice, friendly. The food was good as well. If I lived here, I would have to order take out. Started the meal with biscoff martini, which unfortunately I did not like, it was very coffee/espresso forward and I hate coffee. Ended up trying the Millie vanilie was okay. Husband got a nice bourbon pour. For our appetizer, we tried their stuffed hot peppers. I loved them, they were filled nicely with sausage and cheese and topped with tons of marinara. My main dish was the chicken Milanese, again a grand slam here. Was very very good. The chicken was fried golden perfection with a moist chicken inside. With a side argula salad with a lemon vingerette and Parm cheese. There was a side of a creme fraiche sauce which was amazing, I ordered more to go. It was tangy with a hint of spice, thinking a roasted red pepper of some sort, delicious. I ordered a side of their smashed crispy Parmesan fingerlings. Again very good, crispy outside fluffy inside. The hubby got the chicken Parm and biscoff cheese cake, he enjoyed both. Their portion sizes are huge and for the price can't beat it. When you see the pictures, each of our main plate dishes were only 24.00, so definitely great value. read more

Cleveland eat find. Recently opened Italian restaurant. Definitely would make reservation it gets busy and space is small. There is a parking lot, which they valet, that was little weird, as the lot is like right behind the restaurant not sure why it's a valet. But it is free so. The food was good. Portion sizes were very large, definitely leaving with leftovers. Our server was attentive and nice. Had the stuffed hot peppers which were ok. Three peppers in the serving. The filler, sausage and cheese was good..I like my peppers little softer but that's a personal preference as my wife loved the peppers. For my meal had the chicken parmesan. I couldn't believe my eyes when the plate came, so much food. It was very good. Pasta definitely made fresh. Very good dish. For dessert got the biscoff cheesecake. Great way end the meal. This cheesecake was delicious. read more

Another attempt by the Cleveland Restaurant Group to figure out what to do with this corner building. Fishers Tavern was a failure but had high hopes for this restaurant (their OddFellows restaurant in Chagrin Fall is excellent) because of some of their partners. Disappointed not because it's bad, because it just another Italian restaurant. Had the linguine in marinara and it was fine, not memorable. The linguine was prepared well but the sauce profile average. This is Cleveland for a restaurant to claim authentic Italian food, it raises my expectations that the flavors will be excellent. Not for me but maybe you will like it. Service was very good so appreciated that. read more

I have avoided writing a bad review but now I have to. In the past & (on Open Table too) I gave this restaurant 5 stars but something has changed. We have eaten there in person & done takeout. Tonight was a "second chance" takeout order because the previous takeout order was a huge disappointment & for the first time. This order was the same as that previous one of 2 chicken parmigiana dinners. The same thing happened again. The sauce was sour & both times there was very little sauce on the pasta. How do you skimp with spaghetti sauce? Last December when my son ordered the chicken parmigiana the underside was burned completely black. They have a burrata salad on the menu that we have always loved but tonight I was told they no longer offer it. Disappointed read more

Disappointed in the pizza that was delivered. I thought it would be better but very sloppy made with no marinara and just a few pepperoni pieces. I won't order from them again. read more

What it's lacking in overall ambiance (the reason my review is not 5 stars), it more than makes up for in their food. It is a great place for classic Italian dishes. They make their own sauce and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Beware, the portions are quite large and could easily be split or become a great second dinner at home! Our server, was excellent and personable. They could use more parking, especially when it snows (they share a parking lot with the venue behind them). read more

We were hungry for Italian and really had a nice dinner at this place. They had a very good Italian menu with all our favorite pastas and entrees. The server was friendly and we had a cute little private, quiet booth in the corner. We loved the little buttery bread garlic bites which were warm and so delicious. The mussels as an appetizer were just ok. Not a lot of them and they were small. Wouldn't order them again. We had the minestrone and it was authentically home cooked with loads of yummy veggies. My husband had chicken parmesan. He really liked it and it was a huge portion. I had the cheese ravioli with pesto. It was also tasty and a very generous portion. We did think the meal was a bit pricy but we were happy with the the food so didn't mind paying a bit more. read more

3 stars only because the staff was great. I ate here maybe 7 months ago, I don't remember it. They have new ownership in the last month. I think I can say I won't be back. Just EH, drinks were not good, watery and just not pleasant. The meatballs and the lasagna were the best thing on the menu, but not memorable. Everything else the table order were just, again Eh. Chicken Marsala needed something, very bland. I might order a pizza to go at some point but I can't recommend this place as an Italian restaurant, their dishes need something, more flavor. I'd say, if you must come get the meatballs and lasagna, forget the rest. read more

Between this place and Olive Garden, I'd pick this one every time. We went for my birthday and our waitress was real nice, helped me get the chicken Milanese. I'm a fettuccine Alfredo mama but not here. Place was kinda cramped when we went, but that was when they first opened so I bet it's better now. Had to have reservations too. Glad we went though, I'd go back. read more

Cozy restaurant, but not a huge fan of the layout. The tables in the main dining area, were a little cramped. And if you sit on the side of the aisle, it feels like someone is going to bump into you or drop something on you as they walk by. For the food: fried mozz was good, mussels were good. As an entree, the pork parmesan was a huge portion and pretty tasty. The chicken piccata was a little different than whats expected. Sauce is more like a piccata rue and really thick. Chicken is breaded. Flavor was just ok. Eggplant parm however, was way undercooked and the texture was really off because of it. Service was good, she was really attentive and nice read more

YA'LL - idk if you follow me or not but either way, please know that I KNOW my Italian food and this spot truly impressed and needs to be a top spot to visit for you this year. I am enthralled by how good the chicken piccata was - and they were out of capers but I'm telling you this flavor was incredible and I could genuinely drink the sauce. I love a breaded and pan fried piece of chicken for piccata and they did an absolutely phenomenal job. This restaurant has only been open for a few weeks but the service was perfect (thank you Jennifer!!) and we can't wait to come back. From the amazing bread to the oil to dip in and the reasonably priced wine list and homemade pasta - I can never turn down bucatini and it was executed almost to perfection here...I am so happy this place exists!! We got cheesecake to go and I promise to come back to try more because I am already dreaming about the rest of the menu. I rarely give a place 5 stars but I can't think of a reason not to right now. Thank you and I am so looking forward to coming back to try a pizza amongst other things. (One tip - it is VERY loud in here - they may try to do something about this as I assume they will get complaints but just be prepared if you dine here soon!) read more

Attractive interior design with cool large digital picture frames that change while you are looking at them. The meatballs appetizers are phenomenal, the pizza is delicious, the pastas are excellent, and the garlic bread is amazing (when paired with the red sauce from the meatballs). The manager provided excellent service when they got busy. They get very busy! Be sure to either make a reservation or to show up early. read more

Capriccio's - Tapas/Small Plates Near Me - Solon, Ohio

Worst Italian food I've ever had. Who's ever heard of an Italian restaurant that doesn't have bread and butter? The deep fried garlic dough that was brought to the table immediately made my stomach ill. I ordered the salmon with fingerling potatoes. For some reason it was covered in so much sauce that it was more like soup. Needless to say, I'll never return. read more

Started with the fried mozzarella and arancini with vodka sauce, and wow, unreal. The cheese pull on the mozzarella was next level, and the sauce was amazing. For the main, I had the cavatelli with fettuccine -- you can tell the pasta is homemade, and it was super fresh. The Biscoff martini was super tasty, and the dirty martini was crisp and delicious. Great prices. read more

Highly recommend. I had the chicken piccata and my husband had the chicken Marsala. Excellent. The pasta served with it was amazing. We split a chopped salad. It was enough for two. God bless Robert and Dominique they told us bout this joint and it finna pop off perfect

All the food was very good that's all you need to know about the food. Service was also great no complaints at all. Concerning the valet IT HAS TO GO. It was our first time going there we were greeted by a very rude valet he told us to go park on the rocks if we did not want to use the valet or go use the neighboring restaurant parking lot which we would never do. The parking lot is about the 1/2 the size of a basketball court so you can easily Park your own vehicle without having a tip somebody to move your car 15 ft away into parking spot it's it does not leave a good impression when you first coming into the restaurant thank God the rest of the experience was good read more

Food was alright. Had the mussels and they were pretty good. Not great though. Tried pasta with vodka sauce and it was not vodka, more arrabiata. Also tried chicken piccata and it was a really heavy sauce. Lasagna was pretty nice. Service was ok. I would not say it was great. Server was not real knowledgeable. Ambiance is not what I expected. Really tight in there and dark. No tablecloths and really felt rushed. I am not coming back anytime soon. Flour is a better choice in my opinion. read more

This place is small and LOUD. The food was good and came out quick. Our server was pleasant but I wish she would've checked back with us after we got our food. We wanted Parmesan and more bread but we couldn't find her anywhere...maybe we'll be back to check out the patio... read more

Thursday late afternoon / early evening. Restaurant was empty. "Do you have reservations?" "Not until this moment". Seated at the worst table in the very back next to the wait station. Stone-cold, gummy "garlic knots" on the table. Olive oil, S&P, no cheese on the table. "All our pasta is made in house. So is our sausage and meatballs". Great Order of Cavatelli, Marinara, Meatball. Bucatini, Marinara, Sausage. I asked for Pecorino instead of Parmigiana (it's listed in various places on the menu". "No problem". No apps. No bar drinks. Pasta arrives. "We don't have Pecorino. You want pepper flakes instead?" Cavatelli is gummy and doughy. Bucatini unnervingly similar to what I buy dry in a box at Trader Joe's for $2. Sauce is ok, with some greyish-green shreds which could, during one life, have been basil, but not now. We each ate half, boxed the rest, and paid $60. I've eaten there twice: First and last time. The dog liked the sausage. read more

Upon being seated in this sophisticated yet warm and friendly establishment, our group of four was immediately served a basket of fresh, fluffy rolls. From there, we feasted on dinners from lasagna to shrimp pasta to spaghetti marinara with meatballs...all hot, hearty, and delicious. Portions were very generous! Our server, Kenzie, met all of our needs with a warm smile and efficiency. The tiramisu she plated was a feast for our eyes. Kudos to Capriccio's and Kenzie for a lovely, memorable dining experience. Grazie! read more

On short notice we asked for an earlier seating and all the staff were very accommodating. We expected to be rushed out of our seats, as the restaurant was packed, but no one made us feel that way. We had a lovely dinner. Server was awesome! Wine selection was nice. Robust menu for a small place.

Great food! We enjoyed calamari as an appetizer. I had the ravioli for a main which was delicious. Server was friendly but timing was off in bringing food to table. No worries if you're concerned about the parking! There is free valet service provided by George! We were then greeted by the lovely hostess, Laurel, who seated us at the bar.( open seating)Chris served up the best vodka martini. My husband enjoyed the nice pour of Chianti! Before I discuss our meal, a shoutout to owners Brad and Michael and GM Steven! They all made us feel like familia! Both of our meals were outstanding! I had the white wine mussels as my appetizer. My husband enjoyed the garden tossed salad with lots of cheese and red wine vinegar. ( not to forget the complimentary garlic bread!) If you order pasta, you can choose from 7 homemade styles. Chris recommended the Bucatini ( thick and hollow similar to spaghetti.)The huge portion was smothered in my favorite Bolognese sauce! I'm a bit embarrassed that I ate every bite forgoing leftovers to take home. My husband chose the chicken parm accompanied with Fusilli Lunghi Col Buco (spiral shaped- pasta) with wonderful marinara sauce, another happy camper who devoured the huge portion! If you enjoy eating early on week days, best time for the bar! After that delicious dinner, we'll be sitting there weekly! I am rating a 5 for the following reasons: The food was tasty and those who dined with me also agreed. They actually raved about it and portions very large so they took some home. Salad was fresh and dressing was tasty. I ordered mezzi rigatoni with marinara and could have used more sauce as that dish is to hold more sauce in the tubes of the pasta. There were a couple larger pieces of tomato which I left and did not prefer. The wine was reasonably priced by the glass or bottle and the selections of imported were good. Some places I have been seem to primarily offer domestic wines. Their Bordeaux was smooth and enjoyed by dinner companions. The server was terrific, polite and did not make any order mistakes in spite of the fact he did not seem to write anything down and remembered perfectly what everyone wanted and even the particular preferences. He was attentive and moved dinner along without rushing. Although I still give this establishment a 5 there are a few suggestions which did not downgrade my rating. The patio area got very cramped after 6PM so go at 4 if you enjoy more personal space. The tables are very cramped together and so enlarging the patio would be a good investment for personal space and more privacy of conversations. The other suggestion is the parking. The valet parking spots took up spots close to the door while the other patrons not using valet had to walk further. People using valet can still drop themselves off at the door while the valet moves the car to a further spot and then on the flip side, can still pick up the patron at the door when they leave. Did not make sense that valet got the front spots. Parking area was confusing if you were parking your own car which I prefer to do. Again, nice restaurant and will definitely go again with different friend groups. read more
