Amazing dinner with friends. And the restaurant continues to live up to the expectations. Great drinks, amazing food and an even better ambiance. Make a reservation, it's worth it!

My husband and I dined here with another couple not that long ago. The service we received was excellent! The server and hostess were very warm and informative. We all had delicious cocktails! The atmosphere is super cozy decked out with European charm! I can't stress enough the loveliness of this space! The only downside was that for tapas , which we usually enjoy, we all found the food mediocre. We definitely will return for cocktails and might try a few different dishes.

Amy was there instead of Nikki so I couldn't ask her to make her version of the Bitter Kiss, but I had almost an exact reproduction of my birthday meal, except with the soup of the day and an Emma off their cocktail menu which was scrumptious. In my earlier review, I guess I forgot that the Buffala mozzarella and arugula came with peaches *and* prosciutto. Amy was there and there also seemed to be an expanded cast of employees there, with Amy and a hunky bartender. A meal at the Reserve is always a performance, with delicious food, props, entertainment, tech theater in the form of a playlist and stage set. Amy was too eager to pick up my plate. Normally something I complain about in lesser restaurants I guess most people don't enjoy polishing off every bite of deliciousness that is my way. I mean every bit of the Emma was fantastic including the lime zest, which took the form of a roasted lime wedge.

I had really high hopes heading into this dining experience. The menu had me intrigued and the ambiance is quite cute and inviting. Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to expectations. The food lacked flavor and even though it is tapas style, the portions are quite small for the price point. However, the service and cocktails were much more promising. If I returned it would be for pre dinner drinks, not for dinner itself.

Well "The Reserve" certainly was not what I expected. We made reservations 3 weeks in advance. I thought maybe that was necessary because it was relatively new, hopefully really good, likely because of its excellent location in the center of Chagrin Falls. Turns out all that is true. But the biggest reason for the extended advanced reservation is because it is SO small! When we entered I was amazed to see a long bar to my left, a table in each of the two front windows, and 3 booths along the other wall. That was it. 5 tables and a bar... interesting. I wondered how this was going to work. A marvelous women, with a big smile, greeted us immediately and after confirming our reservation, seated us promptly. She introduced herself as Nikki, quickly took drink orders and was off like a shot to return just as quickly with our orders. After a comfortable period of time she returned to take our orders... I've always been impressed by wait staff that can perform their job strictly by memory while at the same time holding a conversation. A marvelous talent I do not possess. The menu is clearly tapas (which I love) and a bit limited, but sufficient for assembling an interesting meal. I loved my "Fig & prosciutto toast". The flavors were wonderful. That was followed up by a fantastic "Heirloom tomato salad". Hard to believe that much flavor could be in a tomato salad. Finally, my entree was a "Beer braised pork belly"... just excellent. After dinner coffee and "Chocolate Pot de Creme" was the perfect finish. By the way, after just a bit of conversation we found out Nikki is the owner of the establishment. She is friendly, engaging, and just plain wonderful. If nothing else you need to visit just to meet her. I highly recommend "The Reserve". It is an excellent experience.

Don't sleep on this place! Came here with hubby for a date night. Very small space. Half is bar seating. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the cocktails and watching the bartender/server make cocktails. A unique experience. The many was varied and unique. Small plate style with moderate amount of options. Everything we ate was enjoyable. I thought the hot dog was pretty fun. Definitely recommend for an intimate meal!

We were faithful fans of umami and have been to the Reserve 3 times since the change over. We really enjoy it. The reconfiguration of the space creates an openness. Parties of 2 should be prepared for a more communal dining experience at the bar. Sitting at the bar also means that you see all the wonderful craft cocktails being assembled. There are still well curated beer and wine lists but the cocktails are special. And there are 4 mock tail options, as well. The new menu is small plates only. New favorites include the sashimi (so undeniably fresh) and the hanger steak plate. The Shiraz salmon "caviar" pearls in the crab and caviar plate are also impressive. Reservations are highly recommended because the space is so small. Treat yourself and go!

Beautiful spot in downtown Chagrin Falls. Very small space so definitely would recommend reservations, they're on Tock. Service was excellent, our waitress was engaging and very helpful. The restaurant focuses on small plates, we were starving and got four "starters," two "mains" and two deserts which was about the perfect amount of food. Oysters, steak tartar, the bison special, and tuna were all very good, would order again without any hesitation. Goat cheese dumplings and scallops were phenomenal. Both deserts were really well executed too. And the plating for everything was gorgeous. It isn't cheap but definitely a good value for the quality of what you get. Awesome date spot, will definitely be back.

Our bartender Michael was fantastic. He was very personable. Made phenomenal drinks and also had incredible food recommendations. We started with the pretzel and that was to die for. We ordered the whiskey wings, which were fantastic. My husband ordered the meatball pizza and it was literally one of the best pizzas I have ever had. I got the chicken Milanese with the arugula salad it was absolutely incredible They also have happy hour till 6 PM on Saturday so that's also another bonus. I will say, it's cozy, bordering on tight. If all the tables and chairs were occupied, it would not be fun to walk through. My husband and eye wanted to try a little bit of everything. We decided on the Whiskey Wings, Medjool dates and Wood Fired Oysters for apps. The wings were good, standard bar far. My husband thought serving them in a pile was odd lol. The dates came served in a tomato sauce, which was new to me. I've had "devils on horseback" before (which I believe has cheese where this was stuffed with chorizo), so this preparation was different. They were also good and the sauce was HOT (temp). It came with bread that I wish had been warmed up a little. The Oysters were tasty but small. For entrees, my husband got the shrimp and Polenta. It was delicious, but man did that Polenta hold some heat! It was nearly inedible for at least 10-15 while he stirred it trying to get the steam and heat out. I had the Margherita pizza and that was also delicious. Particularly the crust with the right amount of crispy. We also got 2 cocktails each, though i dont quite remember the names. All were pretty boozy, which we like, and balanced. Service was prompt and gracious. I would definitely go back.

Per our request, our party of six was seated on the outdoor patio overlooking the Chagrin River waterfall, which made for a beautiful setting. One thing to note: you cannot reserve patio seating in advance, but you can request it upon arrival if space is available. We started with four appetizers: *Heavenly Biscuits - AMAZING. *Short Rib Potstickers - Excellent. *Spinach Artichoke Dip - Excellent. *Grilled Artichoke - Good, but not really my style of dish. For entrées, we tried several different items: *Grilled Fish of the Day (Grouper) - Excellent, although the portion was on the smaller side. *Lake Erie Walleye Fish & Chips - Very good. *Thai Steak Noodle Salad - Excellent. *Steak and Frites - Excellent. We also ordered two sides: *Coleslaw - Very good. Is it the best coleslaw I've ever had? No. Is it excellent and worth ordering? Absolutely. *Roasted Baby Yukons - Excellent. Since we were celebrating a birthday, the restaurant graciously provided a complimentary dessert sundae. While the gesture was appreciated, I do wish guests were given a choice of dessert. The sundae was fine, but with several outstanding ice cream shops nearby, the ice cream itself was fairly average. Service was quick and efficient overall. There were a few minor areas for improvement: Wet naps would have been appreciated, as we had to request extra napkins multiple times throughout the meal. Service slowed down a bit during the dinner rush. The steak entrée arrived noticeably later than the rest of the main courses, which may have been due to the kitchen being overwhelmed. It also took a little longer than expected to receive extra plates when requested. These were relatively minor issues, however, and did not significantly detract from the evening. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience with great food, a beautiful patio overlooking the waterfall, and solid service. We would gladly return and would certainly recommend it for special occasions or a nice evening out.

This spot brings a shareable Italian dining experience, meaning large portions that don't compromise on flavor. For me, the true test of an Italian restaurant is its red sauce, and Capriccio's nailed it--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Whether poured over pasta or served alongside hearty entrées, you can taste the quality in every bite. And speaking of pasta, they make theirs fresh, which adds an extra layer of authenticity and texture to every dish! Beyond the incredible food, they offer craft cocktails, which immediately caught my attention because, well, I'm a low-key cocktail snob--the more intricate, the better! Their drinks are thoughtfully prepared, adding a perfect complement to the meal. Now, let's talk about dessert--because their Biscoff cheesecake is TOP TIER. Creamy, rich, and full of that buttery Biscoff goodness, it's a must-try. The server was very attentive and knowledgeable. Tip: Make a reservation Capriccio's is tucked away enough to make it an ideal date night spot--whether with your partner or your sneaky link (no judgment here!).
