If I could give this place zero stars I would. THERE ARE PLENTY OF NICE WINE SPOTS! Cru uncorked has a wonderful wine selection and pricing! I will give my money to people who respect their customers! I'll give never be back! A friend and I parked in the customer parking lot and walked into the store and bought a couple gifts. We decided to grab lunch across the street. When we returned we noticed a suburban intentionally blocking our car in. When I politely walked into the wine store and asked for the car to be moved I found out this was the store owners car! He was mean, nasty, and condescending to me explaining that I had to wait until he was ready because I was parked in "his spot". So I sat in my car for a good 10-15 minutes waiting for him to move his car. He made pulling out of the parking spot a 20 minute ordeal. read more

Dissatisfied with how the transaction had occurred, we found Chuck's Fine Wines. Their owner and staff there welcomed us, were quite helpful and filled our latest case needs quickly. So we saw an event on fb, wine tasting with Yolanda that apparently is a weekly event. My parents and I decided to check it out (our 2nd wine tasting event in as many days... but who's counting right!?). What a charming shop in downtown chagrin falls! We were the only ones there for the tasting when we arrived so it was super cozy and personal. Everyone was really knowledgeable and friendly, happy to help in any way. Had a great time tasting the wines, I'm not a wine connassouir so I won't get into the taste palate depth or any other wine related terms lol. Also tasted their 3 beers on tap, the holiday donut cookie (I think?) was good. Didn't care for the stout, but the ipa (odd side cat in the wall I believe) I liked allot. I'm not a big fan of really bitter hoppy ipas and this one was light and fresh... would buy it myself. This was my first time in downtown and I loved it. Super quaint with tons of cute little shops I can't wait to come back to! I wanted to walk around more, view the falls up closer, but we weren't dressed to be walking around outside, was a little too chilly today! But I plan to bundle up and come back soon. I had a great experience at Chuck's Fine Wines. When I was in the shop, it was hoppin' with a wine and cheese tasting. I didn't participate because it was crowded and I was on a tight frame, but the crowd seemed to be enjoying themselves. I love when tastings feel like more of a social gathering than just a random group of people paying 5 cents or so for a glass and moving on. It is true what they advertise, that Chuck's has hundreds of bottles of beer, wine and ale. I had a pretty specific question about a french wine I was looking for, and the employee (I forget his name, darn) was super helpful and knowledgeable and led me directly to its shelf placement. Even better, the staff here seem like they genuinely enjoy working here and take so much pride in the shop. Their wines were particularly well-organized and we were able to zip in and out pretty quickly despite how busy it was. Chuck's had a surprisingly cool and buzzing vibe that brought to life this corner of downtown Chagrin Falls. I don't drink alcohol at all, so you may be wondering why I am reviewing Chuck's- well, two reasons. One, they have AMAZING cheese, and two, I often purchase wine as a gift. When I am looking for wine they are super helpful. I'll often ask "what is the best wine of this type under $X" and they help me find something. They are super patient with me. Stores like Chuck's really are a big part of what makes small towns like Chagrin Falls so special. There is a reason that everyone loves Chuck's and it's always busy. I'm not much of a wine guy, but a beer guy, and Chuck's has a solid selection of brews. They are constantly bringing in good options that you can't get anywhere. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful to find what you are looking for. They also will take requests, to try to find a specific beer that you a looking for by talking to their distributors. One nice game changer they do, is that if you request a specific beer, they will call you to tell you when it is in, or if they couldn't find that particular beer, if they have different stuff from that brewery. As far as wines go, I know nothing. As a place to find a good selection of brews, a place I will always stop. read more

Push me over with a feather! Have I just died and gone to some holy beer heaven? I've been to some pretty amazing bottle shops, but this takes the cake. I am only rating the beer selection of the shop, I just don't know enough about wine to offer any valuable input, but their selection is immense. The focus tends to be on European (heavy on the German and Belgian) specialty beers, but there were many fine, top end selections of craft beer from the US, with a lot of West Coast breweries I am familiar with. There was quite a good representation of quality Craft and Micro brew from around the country and I even spied several from Canada and Latin America as well. I was even invited back into the "Vault", an even higher end area behind the cooler racks to peruse the gems back there. Back here I recognized some of the Brewers, but had never seen these limited release offerings- Left Hand, Sierra Nevada, Ommegang, Magic Hat, Rouge, Buck Eye Brewing were among the breweries that had limited batch offerings here. If your serious about your beer, you should make a trip here. The concentration of quality is outstanding! read more

Chuck's is my favorite place to purchase any type of wine, but also surprising beer as well. The prices of everything are right there with competing markets but their service is amazing. When searching for a new wine to try, I had fun picking out a few bottles with some of the employees who helped me stay in my desired budget as well. Since we don't eat out like we used to due to Covid, Chuck's has become a staple to our runs to help spruce up weekend meals. In terms of beer, it is such a fun place to get beer because they have some unique options and the build your own six pack is key! Overall, I highly recommend this place for your wine & beer needs. Chuck's has everything you need to have a great party. Their wine list goes from Chateau Montelena to great value wines such as round hill. Their gourmet food department provides delicious items such as Mom's Whatsamajiggie Sauce. Grab a little goat cheese, crackers and Mom's sauce and serve as an appetizer with a nice chilled bottle of Chardonnay or Pinot and it just doesn't get any better. This is the best!!!! A really cool store the minute you walk in the door. They are helpful, will take time and not make you feel like an idiot if your not sure what your looking for which is nice. Some wine store employees seem irritated when you are not sure or say something they deem is wrong. Not here. They had a great beer selection and you can sample from some taps. You can also buy a bottle of beer or wine and open it while your there to enjoy the atmosphere with the great views of the falls and loads of stuff to look at. This day was a wine tasting with some snacks to sample. Very reasonably priced tasting with good pours for the money. The wines are put together by country and everything is marked so it's a very user friendly place. They have wine, beer, snacks, and a great cheese area with some unique finds. It's easy to get lost in time here and spend an hour or two. It's both a destination shop and a cool place to stop if your traveling and looking for something fun to do for a few hours. read more

The best thing about Chuck's in Chagrin is Mike the beer guy. He is the only reason I gave this place three stars instead of two. Not only does he know his stuff, but they have a great selection. They have a pretty good beer glass selection too if you are into that kind of thing. The wine selection is fine at Chucks, but you are going to pay a premium price for the wine because it is in Chagrin. It's convenient if you forgot to bring a bottle and you are en route to someone's house, but other than that, you should seek your finds elsewhere. The cheese selection here is ok, but it seems as though it is somewhat neglected. The only food that I buy here are Marks Smokies because they are damn good. If you ever see a Marks Smokey, buy one and try it. As for the cheese here, check out the cheese selection at Miles Market for some pretty good selections. I'll sum up Chucks in two sentences: I have about 300 bottles in my cellar and not one is from Chucks. I have about 50 beers in the fridge and probably half are from Chucks. Go figure. read more

A charming store in a charming town. I am not too into wine so I focused on beer. I was not blown away. It seemed similar to the beer selection at ABC Tavern; a lot of micro breweries, just not the good ones. Just because they don't do big volume don't mean they are good. My friend got a couple of sours. I saw they had one of my old favorites Ephemere for $2 a hit. I wouldn't make it a point to buy from here unless I lived in Chagrin. And my pockets don't run that deep so I guess I am stuck buying better beer in Cleveland at EZ-Stop! read more

What a great place! I'm sure that they have a great wine selection, but that is not my specialty. I came for the beer. Craft beer obsessed - I'm always on a mission to seek out new brews when I'm on travel. I came in and questioned them about their beer selection and they playfully told me that in order to go into "the vault" I had to come back a second time... So that's exactly what we did! About an hour later after grabbing a beer and a bite, we came back and were beckoned to THE VAULT. What a great vault it was! We found a lot of beers that we weren't about to find elsewhere... and almost caught frostbite in there while at it. I will definitely be back next time in the area. read more

My girlfriend and I recently stopped here to pick up some beers for a party we were going to attend.The shop is very cute and quaint.The selection is not the best though.The have a small section of beers and wine due to lack of space.The best part of the experience was they let you go in the reserve cooler (they call it the vault) where they have some limited edition beers where we found some really great stuff.They have beer and wine tastings and the day we were there they had a coffee pop up shop for a few hours which the coffee was awesome (Grey Duck Coffee) check them out!Overall I would recommend you visit the shop in the summer time they have a great view of the falls. read more

A true hidden gem of chagrin falls. Fabulous selections of all popular and craft beers alike and an excellent wine selection to boot. The part of this shop that truly made it five stars though are the people who work there. They are extremely knowledgable, passionate, and friendly! Very reasonable prices paired with the cozy welcoming feel of this shop create a great atmosphere. They host wine tastings on Saturdays and also have beer and wine events throughout the week. My only regret is not visiting this store sooner. Absolutely worth a visit if you're ever in the area. I will be visiting this place quite often from now on! read more
