I went in for brewing supplies to make a standard wheat beer. I found WB had a very limited selection of beer making supplies that are over priced. All yeast packets were $7.95. Limited selection- they didn't have the whitbier yeast that I needed and the clerk told me to use an all-purpose beer yeast. I looked for the malt, hops and other ingredients- nope- they didn't have them. The clerk told me I can substitute some other hops, etc. I've made beer before, some things can be substituted, but the basic yeast and main hops can't be. They were selling 5-gallon plastic buckets for $18.99 and with $20.99 for volume-marked buckets! They had Brewer Best kits- a whitbier beer kit was marked $44, but it was dated "packaged 2022" and the another kit had the date sticker removed. The yeast expired a long time ago for those kits. Other kits (that had date labelled) went back to 2020. I'm not sure what their story is, but from reviews it seems like they may have bought a good and solid business where former people knew how to make beer and buy supplies. Now for beer and wine making there's a limited inventory (and old 2020), and marked-up prices. They may have a better beer selection, but for beer making supplies- No sales for me. read more

Warehouse Beverage is hands down, the best little beer, wine, and brewing supply store in the county and personally, the best I've ever encountered anywhere, period. I'm more of a beer girl than wino, so this review is for the beer. I've heard good things about the wine selection as well, though, and they also carry wine-making supplies and kits. The place is run by two down-to-earth, obliging and knowledgeable brothers, one a beer expert, the other--yes you've guessed it!--a wine expert, so you've got quite a compendium of advice and resources available when both are on duty. We started making regular pilgrimages here for brewing supplies when the bf and his friend took up microbrewing. They've moved on to cheaper online brewing supply wholesale vendors once they got a better understanding of the process, but for brewing newbies or vets who need to pick something up in a pinch, WB provides a (mostly) reasonably priced, ample collection of ready-made kits, yeast, grain, equipment and even a manual malt mill in the back to crush your grain. But the best part of WB is, of course, the mind-blowing craft beer selection. Imagine the candy store scene in the 1971 Willy Wonka flick, except instead of the Candy Man dancing along shelves of brightly colored candies, singing to breathless, wide-eyed kids, you've got the Beer and Wine Bros singing to lovestruck adults, frolicking in rows and rows of brightly-colored single 20 oz bottles and six- and four-pack cartons. Ok, just the very last part of that, but still. Total candy store effect. But for adults. When it comes to craft beer, if you've heard of it, WB most likely has it. They carry seasonals, regulars and hard-to-find brews from the likes of Stone, Rogue, 21st Amendment, Left Hand, Flying Dog, Victory, Sam Smith, Abita, Unibroue, Troegs, and Hitachino (whose red rice ale is absolutely yummy and is now in limited supply due to earthquake damage at their brewery in Japan), just to name a few. And of course, they carry brews from local breweries like Buckeye and Great Lakes. Whenever I come across something new at a bar that strikes my fancy, it's pretty inevitable: I'll be at WB the next chance I get, looking for the matching six-pack. If you're in Cleveland and call yourself a beer-drinker, you owe yourself a trip to Warehouse Beverage. Cleveland is my city and Warehouse Beverage is my happy place. End of story. read more

I can't tell you how many times I drove past this place over the years and never paid it any attention. From the street, you'd never expect it to be the beer heaven that it is. They seem to get limited releases that many other local shops don't, and the staff is always super friendly and helpful. My only gripe is the anemic selection of single for mixed 6-packs. It's mostly only macrobrews or near-expired old stock, never anything new or exciting. This seems to be a pattern with Cleveland-area shops, so if they had a halfway-decent single can/bottle selection, it could be a key differentiation for them vs. other local shops... but I'm probably dreaming here. Still, great place, nice people, and I'll continue to return every time I'm in Cleveland. read more

Beer and wine. Great selection. I am a cheap beer drinker, but I appreciate this place as I need to buy good beer to bring to a party, or for people in my life. When one of my exes claimed she could not eat gluten, this place had a good selection of gluten free beer I kept in the house. Oh and let me not forget they have a few sakes as well. You wouldn't guess from driving by, but Warehouse Beverage is a great little shop! Their wine section is good, but not awesome. Where they really stand out is their beer selection. They have a great amount of variety, both craft and European. I've quickly become a fan of several Cleveland breweries, and they have a lot of my favorite local options. If you're in the market for kegs, they have a wonderful selection of 1/6 barrels, and at better prices than anywhere else around, including the breweries themselves-- and with a reasonable keg deposit too. If you're a home brewer, it looks like they've got all the supplies you need. Employees are friendly and can offer helpful tips. We'll be loyal to Warehouse Beverage for our kegerator refills for as long as we live in the area. read more

Like Notre Dame College, Chief's Auto Wash, and that one stretch of 4 nice houses on Belvoir, Warehouse Beverage makes you feel like you've been magically whisked out of South Euclid Hell and into some faraway paradise like Lyndhurst, Cleveland Heights, or Euclid. Amazing beer selection, damn good wine selection, and a plentiful selection of things you didn't know existed. Woodchuck makes pear cider? They sure do, and WHB has it. I think the last time I went in, there were 5-6 varieties of Woodchuck. My wife loves Woodchuck and she squealed when she saw the selection. I like it, too, especially some of the flavors not found in grocery stores. October and Woodchuck go together like peas and carrots. Want to make beer or wine? This is your one-stop-shop. Need a 1/6 barrel of GLBC's finest? Done. Need a wine key? They have 5 different kinds. Want to just BS with the owner? He's just the kind of guy you want to BS with. The selection inside is something you'd expect to find in a place 4-5 times as large. There aren't enormous quantities of everything, but who really needs a 30-pack of 15% chocolate raspberry coffee saffron Lambic? Nobody. One will do. If you live anywhere in the area bound by 77, the shoreway, 271, and 480, you owe yourself a stop at Warehouse Beverage in Sunny South Euclid. How it's taken me this long to discover Warehouse Beverage, I'll never know. Especially since I live less than 3 miles away! I guess, I've always thought this place was strictly for the home-brewer. Boy was I wrong! Yesterday, in an attempt to seek out some obscure craft brews for NYE y2k10, I consulted this trusty site to point me in the right direction for that very special brew. Thanks Murray! The place is basically divided in half with one side dedicated to wine and the other beer. There's also bottling and brewing equipment if you're into that. The selection here is outrageous. More than I've ever seen under one roof actually. If you're a fan of craft & micro-brews, my guess is that you'll be quite pleased with the selection. The two owners are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. If there's a type of beer that you don't find here, let them know and they can order it for you. I spent close to an hour just browsing all the various selections. I settled on a German import Wheat Doppelbock titled: Aventinus Weizenbock by Schneider & Sohn. Warehouse Beverage has the loveliest selection of Belgian style beer that I've yet seen in the Cleveland area. When I'm beer shopping, Belgian styles are usually what I seek out. Warehouse Beverage surprised me with their selection of these. And that, my friends, makes me one of the happiest girls in the world. Many of the craft brews here can be found elsewhere and closer to my house. The other store I'm thinking of doesn't sell 12 oz. bottles seperately though. Warehouse Bev does. I appreciate any place that allows you to mix and match a six pack. The most delightful part of my trip was the owner's sheer surprise at my purchases. They may not be used to girls buying good beer here? I was asked a few times if I needed help. I had to explain that, no, I did not need help with anything except practicing restraint in buying entirely too much beer. I found so many that I wanted and decision making was tough. Undisputed best beer selection in the whole metro area! I stopped in on a whim Saturday and was bowled over by the choices. Me=kid. This place=candy store. There is no way Simone's even compares. The great thing is that they use so little space for run of the mill commercial beer, that the small space they do have is not wasted one inch. I got Moerlein Emancipator doppelbock from Cincinnati. And i got Southern Star blonde bombshell. In cans! I'm a collector of cool cans and these are some of the coolest ever. I admit that i shopped purely by graphic design and tried to come in under 9 bucks per six. A lot of the imported stuff was around ten dollars a six pack. There's so much more i want to try. i am going to have to make a habit of coming back east more often just to shop here. Oh, and see family. read more

Damn good beer selection, best selection of craft beer in town. There's hundreds of different beers here. Only a small percentage are also sold as singles, but fortunately, the selections of singles rotates. Their selection of homebrewing supplies is nice. It's one of the better supply shops near Cleveland (although that's not saying very much). Although they didn't have a particular yeast I wanted [they had 10 others - liquid and dry], they said they'd order for me. I really like that they have longer hours [than Rozi's for example]. Overall, the prices are very fair on everything. Only a 10 minute drive from 271, if you're in the Cleveland area, especially on the east side, this is probably your stop if you're looking for craft brews. Very, very good selection of beer -- ranging from your everyday case of Yuengling to really interesting craft beers from breweries you've never heard of. They carry a really good and diverse selection of English beers and ciders, including some I hadn't thought of since I studied there in the late 90s. Nice owner -- clearly knows his beer but isn't judgy or dismissive of your choices at the register, and is just generally pleasant to talk to all around. Make sure to become a fan on Facebook -- they often receive small shipments of certain beers and announce their arrivals there. They move fast! read more

We never have an issue finding great beer, including some that are hard to find. The guy who works there (owner? Not sure) has always been incredibly nice and helpful. LOVE this place! Employees are super nice and very helpful. I had Fever Tree ginger ale at l'Albatros and fell in love. I called several specialty beverage distributors looking for this beverage, to no avail. I took a chance and stopped by Warehouse Beverage, they had Fever Tree ginger beer (non-alcoholic), in stock, and readily offered to order the ginger ale. I purchased a 4 pack of ginger beer and happily ordered a case of the ginger ale. My order arrived a few days later to my delight. I highly recommend this place!!! read more

These gentlemen that own this store are so great; they always offer to carry things for me to my car and give my daughter a free pretzel. Customer service at its finest. Prices are good, you can order beer and wine here; they carry some harder-to-find items, have a beer/ wine chiller that will chill your drinks quickly before you leave and they also boast a wall of beer making supplies as well. Woah! I haven't written a review for this place yet? I'm surprised. Anyways I've gone here with my dad since I was a kid and its been owned by the same two brothers (one likes wine, the other likes beer) for at least two decades. Always friendly and really knowledgable and makes up for the small quantity with a MASSIVE variety rivalling other stores. Currently in competition with 101 Bottles in Kent for me. These guys have more of the european beers I like as well as a larger selection of 22s, a good but small cider selection, some neat sodas occasionally, and beer making/drinking stuff in comparison to 101 Bottles which has a bar in itself and perhaps a wider variety of american craft brews. So I feel the two sort of serve two different veins of "beer fan" that I find myself being in the middle of. If you like a small cozy beer store where you want to find out more about beer, and compare this to that and find out how to make it on your own, Warehouse Beverage is the place to go, whereas i think 101 Bottles works better for the guy who wants to try everything. read more

When I moved to town I wanted to get tapped in to the Ohio craft beer scene - Warehouse Beverage is the best place to do that. Warehouse has an extensive selection of local, domestic and foreign craft and mainstream beers. If it comes to Ohio then Warehouse gets it. The one downside of their craft beer selection is their limited supply of single bottles, but if you know what you want then they'll have a pack of it. They also have a fully stocked brewers section. If you want to try your hand at brewing your own they have all the gear you need and the employees all have the knowledge to guide you right. Warehouse also has a large wine section. I can't speak much to it. But friends who can say it's top notch. The friendly staff and constant deliveries of new and exciting brews round out all the reasons you should check out Warehouse Beverage next time you need some beer or wine. read more

Undeniably the best beer selection in the Cleveland area- even for a beer noob like me. It's small, but do not let that distract from the large selection of rare brews. User Murray R. compares the Warehouse to a candy store, which reminds me of when the owner laughed at my impatience as my boyfriend looked at each one of the many choices of stouts they offer. "Honey, it's like when you go to your shoe store- you just got to let him do his thing." I had to smile because he was dead on. Although several places offer Christmas Ale, I will only support this small Cleveland business when purchasing it- even if that means waiting a week or two. THIS PLACE. The beer and wine selection here is great and the staff is the most helpful! I feel like anyone can find something to drink here and if you're looking for something specific--brewer or type of brew--the staff is there to help! They'll gladly steer you in the correct direction and pack things up for you. I bought my husband some home brew supplies to get him started and I had no trouble figuring it out here. I still know next to nothing about the hobby, so I can't say for sure if we'll be back here for brewing supplies, but we'll most certainly be back plenty for drinks. read more

This is a really cool store- parking in the front. Inside are shelves and shelves of beer. Lots of singles, lots in the refrigerators. When I was there they had Alesmith and Hair of the Dog. Lots of Ohio locals, Great Lakes, even some lambic. Huge selection that takes awhile to sift through. Lots of glassware for sale. Check their facebook page for new inventory. read more

I drive to Cleveland quite often strictly for beer. I rarely make it to this store just because I have my go to places that are in the area I like. The owner seems very nice, and I like that they have such a giant selection of microbrews. I even like that there is a back room I didn't even know abotu the first time around with tons more beer. My only complaint is that a lot of the beer seems quite outdated. We are sticklers for checking dates on bottles so we know that we only buy the freshest, and a lot of these were quite old, some had dust on them, and I even saw some christmas beers still there. I doubt I will go out of my way to go here when I go back, but I do like they constantly update their facebook with new inventories and if I lived in the area this would be my go to place for sure. read more

Lived in the area over 15 yrs b4 stopping in on a WTF. Didn't expect much since the outside is plain & unassuming (which is why I hadn't gone in sooner), but I needed a last minute bottle of wine to take to a dinner. My usual wine shops were closed. I was actually thinking of sinking down to trying the grocery across the street with it's Official Ohio Liquor License-slop when I opted for Warehouse Beverage instead, figuring anything had to be better than Giant Eagle. The instant I walked in, WHOA! I was gob-smacked at the incredible change that occurred going through the door. Outside? Ho-hum S. Euclid with it's cracker-box look-alike Colonials & patchwork of here-today, gone-tomorrow places. Inside? A step back in time to when little things mattered. When a storekeeper took real pride in his business. Best of all, it's a wine or beer lover's heaven. The 'warehouse' name's misleading. Think more of having your own private cellar w/every possible choice of beer or wine at hand, not to mention a complete line of home-brew supplies. I hadn't given serious consideration to making home-brew up til then, but found myself figuring out where to set up a little make-it-yourself brewery of my own before I knew it. The pros at Warehouse are there to help you get off to the right start, set things up right, & supply your every need w/o ripping u off. From the git-go, when I'd get stuck or something went haywire the WB team was there to help me puzzle out what I'd f'd up. I'm currently working on getting my honey-apple beer right but my peach-apricot brandy's coming out 90 proof+ & slides down real easy. All because of needing a bottle of wine, (Oh, yeah...got 2 the dinner by dessert, but the 2 wines I'd brought saved my *ss] If they haven't got it they'll get it. If you don't want to wait, there's someone to lead you to something better or order it for you if you have time. If Jeopardy had a show only on wine or beer topics these guys'd be the champions, hands down. Don't try to impress them with your knowledge of wines or beers unless you're really, REALLY good...because these guys are walking encyclopedias of spirits. But there's no snootiness or turned-up noses here...they treated a woman trying to figure out which wine went w/angel-food cake & strawberries the same way they treated the other guy in there who knew which vineyards were in distress in the past 10 yrs & which were golden. So, fellow imbibers, stop wasting time at those nose-in-the-air hoity-toity specialty shops that soak you just for walking in the door but have stock limited to what's 'in'. Set your GPS for 4364 Mayfield Rd. South Euclid, OH 44121. Make sure you leave plenty of time in your schedule...you'll be spending a lot more time in a warm, inviting, knowledgeable, down-to-earth place than you planned. read more
