Driving by I wasn't sure if they were open despite the Open sign. Just a little unassuming. But once inside it was quite inviting. Same hostess serves La Pecora and Barroco, so that was a bit awkward til we figured it out. And they do take reservations. Ok, now with the business out of the way... My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Server was super pleasant. Varied drink menu of all types, including NA offerings. We were delighted surprised by the complimentary bread service. Burrata salad could serve 4 as an appetizer. And our pizza was absolutely delicious. The pear was sliced so thinly that it was a nice balance to the pistachio rather than being overly sweet. This place is a must stop! The atmosphere is awesome, filled with beautiful decor from the tables to the walls. It really feels like you're stepping into Italy and offers a cozy and warm vibe. It's connected to its partner restaurant, Barocco, which is Latin cuisine and can be ordered inside La Pecora if you choose to. The food at La Pecora was great, they offer a wide array of cocktails and flavor options for pizzas and salads. You definitely are not getting your traditional and basic flavor options here for pizza but they do it very well. The pizza is thin and with a lot of toppings can be a bit floppy but that's typical. It has a great crust and I appreciate being able to see the pizza going into the pizza fired oven to get the great crust! Everything was delicious and the complimentary bread was PHENOMENAL. Tasted like a mix of garlic bread and pizza but elevated. The service was also fantastic, the woman who took care of us was taking care of the bar as well as all the tables. She did great and was super knowledgeable of the entire menu and bar. All the cocktails were great and looked just like the photos! Overall, La Pecora Pizzzabar is a great place to gather and eat some good food. Thin pizza which will leave you satisfied and not feeling heavy, while also offering a wide array of bold flavors and options for salads, appetizers and cocktails. Was able to make a reservation same day for dinner on a Sunday. We were seated right away when we arrived - there is lots of street parking available. Our service was friendly and we liked the unique cocktail options and wine selection. We tried a few different pizzas, which were very good! I would definitely recommend La Pecora. read more

Came here during Cleveland Pizza Week with another couple, where we tried a bunch of dishes to share. Hardly anyone inside, so we had the server basically to ourselves. We ordered a house salad, meatball appetizer, split pea soup and a cuatro formaggi pizza pie. Everything came out hot and fresh. The meatballs were served in a moat of bright tomato sauce. The split pea soup was creamy and topped with beautiful (edible) flowers. The pizza had super-puffy crust and the combination of cheeses really went well together, Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals, would definitely return if in this area again. read more

Tonight was the monthly Cleveland pizza night and Pecora was up. Very cool vibe. Friday night and we had reservations but the place wasn't packed. Found street parking. Our waitress, Paula, was sweet and knowledgeable. Great service. Had the Blond Italian beer. Light and perfect with pizza. My hubby and I split the three meatballs. $16. Delicious with tasty sauce and I asked for some bread since the sauce was calling my name. We usually get pepperoni pizza but decided with the Neapolitan since from the story of this place the owner went to Naples to learn to be a pizza maker so I thought it would be smart to try it. The crust is chewy and delicious. I think just a teeny bit more sauce and cheese would have made it better, but it was very good. Perfect amount of anchovies. Then we topped off the evening with an affogato. Damn, so so good. May not have been gelato but instead some high quality vanilla bean ice cream. Delicious! Definitely a "go back again." Some cute stuff- the menus are little books and they bring the check in a little book. Super cool decor. read more

So to start the restaurant is within a restaurant the host was so wonderfully pleasant. When you enter you are met with a beautiful whimsical ambiance, you walk through beautiful drapes and are seated with options of low or high top tables. I choose the upper 2 seater on the highest floor! Amazing view.. I didn't feel like I was in Cleveland. The server Zay was exceptional. The atmosphere was very very welcoming. Now when it comes to the food!!! Omg I got the Margherita pizza and a side of meatballs for an app... AMAZING. The ingredients are so fresh I couldn't get over it. I was so satisfied but not weighed down like you usually would with ordinary pizza. If you appreciate authentic recipes and undeniably delicious food.. THATS FRESH .. I just had to reiterate. The food and drinks were soooooo good. Even the breadstick appetizers they bring out were tasty. We had the pistachio and arugula salad which was huge. We got 2 for 4 of us to split but we could have just gotten 1. The pizzas are good size. We got 2 for 4 of us and had some to take home. The spicy salami was yummy as was the one on their specials menu - the Juan. The blackberry sorbet dessert was also incredible. The food is also beautifully presented and very reasonably priced. For 4 people with cocktails, appetizers and dessert and pizza it was $130. This is gourmet pizza not dominos. Sorry I forgot to take pictures. Definitely worth the visit. Only gave it a 4 star because the kitchen was slow in getting food out but service was good otherwise. read more

This place was amazing! We ordered the meatballs, they were ok. The complimentary bread was delicious, tons of flavor with a kiss of balsamic. But the trues star of the show was the split pea soup! OMG the velvety tongue texture with freshly grated Parmesan. This is our new favorite soup. We enjoyed both the Spicy Salami which wasn't very spicy but actually had a sweet finish. The Tartufata was beautifully pungent from across the room. It was delicious. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. I have been wanting to check La Pecora out since they opened and a so grateful that I finally got in there. A couple of things to know before you go. First, you actually enter through Barrocco, which is right next door. Check in with the host there to be seated. And second, this is an expensive pizza place. I had a pizza and a cocktail and after tip, I paid $48. Because of that, I probably won't be back honestly, but am so glad I went. Other than the price tag, I loved my entire experience here. The ambiance is cool and the bartender was great (I sat at the bar). I ordered their namesake pizza and a delicious cocktail which was a take on an Old Fashioned with cherry. I can't remember what it was called. The cocktail was absolutely perfect with great balance and was strong. The pizza was also incredible. The crust was fluffy and delicious and the sauce, cheese, and toppings were fresh. I really, really, realy liked the pizza a lot! read more

It felt like the Pillsbury Doughboy broke in and threw himself onto our pizzas. We ordered three pies: two Margheritas and one spicy salami, and all of them came out undercooked, overly moist, and incredibly chewy. A truly doughy experience, to say the least. After waiting about 50 minutes, our server (who was friendly) apologized and explained there was a dough issue. They had to remake all the dough from scratch. While I appreciate the honesty, I'm not sure what the kitchen expected would happen by tossing fresh, barely-proofed dough straight into the oven. My man driving home with me could feel the dough still rising in his stomach. This might've been an off night, and I want to believe our experience was just bad timing. But if you're remaking dough mid-service, maybe don't serve it raw and hope for the best. read more
