We tried ItaLee's because our friends recommended it after eating there 3 times in 2 weeks. Warm, personal service in a smallish modern dining area. We tried the chicken parmigiana and farm pizza. Both were made with the freshest ingredients and were delicious. The pizza crust was particularly good while the veggies were full of fresh taste. The salads were generous and amazing. I met Renee tonight when I placed an order for Chicken Parmesan and Chicken Picatta for carryout. Renee was much more professional than the Raffin family. The place was much cleaner under the new ownership. That part went well. Renee wanted me to let her know if anything was bad with the Chicken Parmesan. It didn't have any cheese on it and both the chicken and the underlying spaghetti had next to no spaghetti sauce on it. I would have preferred to call her on the phone but the restaurant website did not have a phone number listed. There was no way to email her either. I'm happy to edit this review to a more favorable one once I can meet with her about the issues from tonight. Many of these issues can be worked out. Until then, I can only base my review with what I experienced tonight Update. I worked with Renee. She was very amenable to making an adjustment with the amount of sauce on the entrees. That made all of the difference in the world. The food is fantastic..Renee and her staff have won me over. I'm more than happy to recommend ITALees to everyone. An incredible addition to Fairview Parks dining landscape. Renee and Lindsay have created a family dining experience that looks to be promising with fresh scratch made ingredients and a simple menu that is well priced and quite literally delicious. We were greeted upon entering, sat immediately with great service and even better food. We ordered the margarita pizza, fantastic sauce with an even better crust, great bite. Next warm olives with a great citrus tang and house made focaccia. Our entrees came with the option of soup or salad, my husband loved the Italian wedding soup with shredded chicken. Next up entrees: I went with the special pasta dish, pomodore sauce fjords made tagligette, shrimp bay scallops and squid, all cooked perfectly. My husband had the chicken parmigiana, huge potion and perfectly seasoned. Did I mention the wine list and craft beer selection is on point too. We will definitely become regulars. read more

My mom was craving Italian food on Friday night so I opened up the trusty Yelp app to find something within a reasonable driving distance from Lakewood. I wanted to try a new place and ItaLee's fit the bill. It was a packed house that night and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The service was outstanding. It might have been the nicest and most pleasant group of people working in Cuyahoga County. One of my gripes with Italian food is that it is usually exorbitant prices, not the case here! The food is really great. The pasta seemed to be freshly made (my husband had the chicken parm and I had the gnocchi in cream sauce with chicken). I was skeptical about adding chicken to mine, because it's not a typical pairing and there have been times elsewhere where it was really an afterthought and I got a generic chicken breast that just sat on top of my food. The chicken cutlet I received here was phenomenal and you could tell it was prepared to be served with that particular dish. A small detail that was very appreciated. The salads and fresh bread that come with the meals are generous and delicious. The service was good, the only note I have is that I ran out of water and had not ordered another drink, but I think my server was brand new, so I'm sure that will improve. The restaurant was busy and lively, and I'm really happy to have such a great local spot for future date nights! read more

Went to ItaLee's for a 2nd time yesterday, and it's official. A+, 10/10. To make a long story short, the first time we went was opening weekend and they had run out of pasta (right there, that's a great sign of a restaurant). I ended up ordering the Italian beef sandwich which was mouth watering. Yesterday's visit wasn't as hectic, but still busy, but still great and attentive service. My gf and I started our own "Pizza Friday" 1.5 years or so ago and decided to try ItaLee's for pizza yesterday. We were promptly seated, ordered 2 delicious, home made cocktails, and placed an order for a "well done" house blend cheese with garlic and butter sauce. We sat back, enjoyed the vibe, the people smiling, and then our pizza came. OH MY! My gf's first reaction "I will crave this" My reaction "Hello carryout window". We live in Westpark, and it's without question worth the drive there. I can keep going on, but enjoy the pic of our pizza, and take in the air bubbles in the dough. A delightful and wonderful italian restaurant just a few miles away from the cleveland airport. The pasta dishes were excellent. When your server brings out the olive oil and pepper and bread for the dip ask for a little bit of italian red wine vinegar to go with it. If you're looking for a quiet place with good food THIS IS THE PLACE. We ordered takeout. The staff was a very accommodated and my husband's gluten-free pizza was delicious. However, the Arancini balls were like none other that we've had and tasted terrible. We threw them away. My pasta sauce was bland as was my daughters white sauce. I was very disappointed given all of the wonderful reviews I had read. read more

Great new place in Fairview Park, (the old Santos). We ordered the calamari which was cooked to perfection. Lightly breaded and tender. We also ordered the Garden Pizza and it was one of the best pizza's I have had in a long time. Will be back to try and entree. What a cool little place. We were regular customers of Santos, who previously occupied the building, and when they closed we worried that we had lost our fave Italian restaurant. Then along came Italee's and, well, we've quickly forgotten about Santos! Renee and Lindsay have absolutely nailed it here. Everything is made fresh and is delicious, seriously - everything. On our first visit I tried the Pesto Primavera with chicken added, and the Fried Mozzarella Bruschetta. Absolute Perfection. On our second visit we took home a Supreme pizza. Fresh ingredients but holy moly...that pizza crust was simply incredible! On our third visit I tried the Italian Dip sandwich. So tender with just the right amount of aioli on it and that house made roll it comes on deserves an award all by itself. Often when I find a favorite restaurant I also find my favorite dish or two there, but with Italee's I'm going to have to try everything on the menu! Went for lunch last week & we were so impressed we took our friends there for dinner. First time Lindsey took care of us & explained most pastas were home made along with their balsamic vinaigrette. Had the Ragu Bolognese which was delicious! It was accompanied by a side salad & home made focaccia bread.Both dishes were excellent! Tonight we had Wilbur as our server - very personable & attentive. Renee also stopped by to welcome us. Spaghetti & meatballs were delicious. The large pizza was huge & also very good. I walked into Italee's for the first time tonight, Monday, at 9PM. I knew from looking at Yelp that they only opened about two weeks ago. My original plan was to order out but their phone hadn't been installed yet and the online ordering system isn't available yet. So, I just decided to go eat in. I was the only one in there, not surprisingly, given the time and the newness of the restaurant. I guessed correctly that the two women hovering over the computer at the bar were the owners. They told me to sit anywhere so I decided to sit at the bar and get to know them. I told them right away to treat me like family and they did. (It's an Italian thing. Some of you might not understand.) I had viewed the menu online, so I knew exactly what I wanted, Italian Wedding Soup and the Ragu Bolognese. I was really surprised by the soup, as it was the best I ever had! And I have had it a lot, including homemade. The little "meatballs" in it were also the best I ever had. Most wedding soups are pretty thin physically and taste wise, but this was thick and hearty and very flavorful. I really wish I had a pot full. The Ragu Bolognese was also exceptional; the wide pasta noodles are homemade and there was a surprising amount of meat in the sauce. I loved the sauce and really, I think it was the best ever including my 100%Italian mother's or my own. (My mother is deceased so I'm hoping she doesn't see this. Though I know she would have loved it too.) I ordered sausage and an additional meatball, just because I wanted to try them. The sausage was excellent and they told me they have it made according to their recipe. The meatball was almost as good as my those made by my Italian grandfather and the flavor hinted at his recipe which took me years to perfect. Wilber, their off-duty waiter and part time wine consultant, sat on the opposite side of me at the bar and we became fast friends. We talked about everything from Wonder Woman and Supergirl to leather jackets including who should and should not wear them. The whole thing turned into a delightful evening when my plan was to dutifully study my Fantasy Baseball Magazine that accompanied me. I will highly recommend this restaurant to my friends and relatives, especially the Italian ones! read more

This unassuming, newly-bloomed establishment in Fairview Park dazzled both my palate and my heart. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by pleasant front-of-the-house staff, and the unpretentious, quaint décor complimented a pastoral atmosphere, offering a feast for the senses before we even sat down! After a pleasant conversation with our enthusiastic and knowledgeable waitress, we were ready to get down to business. Siamo venuti a mangiare! ("We came to eat!") For starters, we thoroughly enjoyed the fresh complementary bread and olive oil and from the menu, we chose the Fried Mozzarella Bruschetta (crunchy, chewy, cheesy goodness) and order of the Zesty Garlic Parmesan Wings (on point balance of savory, spicy and crispy). Main courses arrived after a fresh salad for my wife and bowl of wedding for myself and let me tell you...that soup that was almost therapeutic it was so good. The Creamy Spinach Gnocci was stellar, velvety and perfectly texured, nestled in a light, sumptuous cream sauce. As a fan of the classics, I had to try the Chicken Parmesan. Their homemade tagliolini topped with a from-scratch rustic red sauce, so vibrant and flavorful, was beyond satisfying. The chicken itself was expertly cooked, succulent and delicately crisp. For dessert, we shared a generous slice of Lemon Ricotta Cake, topped with blueberry compote. This dessert was rich and decadent, but surprisingly not too sweet, a flawless way to end such an impeccable dining experience. We were lucky enough to meet Chef Alex, a humble and passionate culinarian, who took the time to say "hi" to those enjoying his menu.
