This review is a bit tricky for me to write. I want to be fair, but we definitely didn't have a five-star experience. What drew us in was this location's Instagram reel featuring their March Pizza of the Month -- the Reuben Pizza. After seeing a performance at Playhouse Square, we decided to make the detour to check it out. We arrived on a Sunday around 3:30 PM, and the restaurant wasn't very busy. We were seated quickly and our server came over shortly after. We ordered drinks (he got a beer and I stuck with water) and looked over the menu, even though we already knew we wanted the Reuben pizza. My boyfriend noticed the Cajun Parmesan fries and asked the server what she thought of them. She was convincing enough, so we decided to order a side. Since we were pretty hungry, we definitely noticed how long it took for the food to come out. In hindsight we probably should have asked for the fries as an appetizer, but they ended up arriving with the pizza. When the food hit the table, my boyfriend and I both looked at the "side" of fries, then at each other, and said the same thing: "That's a side? For $4?" The portion was surprisingly small (28 fries, to be exact), and barely room temperature. It was a little frustrating, but we didn't want to make a big deal out of it, so we just moved on. The pizza itself, though, was exactly what we were hoping for. The dough was excellent, and the locally sourced ingredients paired really well with the Thousand Island sauce served on the side. It was a really good pizza and definitely lived up to the hype that brought us in. The only downside was that the pizza, like the fries, wasn't very hot when it reached our table. I guess it's better than a pizza coming to the table piping hot, but I would have much rather had a hotter pizza and fries than we received. Overall, the pizza was definitely the highlight and we're glad we made the stop to try the Reuben Pizza of the Month. That said, the small, lukewarm fries and the temperature of the food when it arrived took away from the experience a bit. With a few small improvements, this could easily have been a much better visit. read more

Saw their post with a Reuben Pizza and it looked really good, so headed to N. Olmsted to give it a try. The dining area is much larger than it appears on the outside. There is a small bar as well. Server arrived quickly and drinks were served without delay. I asked about the Cajun Parmesan fries and she said that she thought they were good, so we ordered those and the pizza. Restaurant was pretty empty. The Cavs were on ABC today and I was surprised they weren't televising the game. Food took a good bit longer than anticipated and was definitely hit or miss upon arrival. We counted the fries - 28. For $4. We saw no parmesan. They were just above room temp and arrived with the pizza. I'd never order them again and recommend skipping them altogether. The pizza was good. The corned beef was from Joe's deli and the taste was classic deli style. Cleveland Kraut makes a crunchy kraut that roasted up perfectly. The thousand Island dressing was a sweet compliment to the sharp and salty pizza flavors. The toppings were a little scarce for the price point. 3/5. I would order the pizza again. read more

Happy Valentine's Day to my amazing man! Thank you for being so patient with me today - especially during that hour and a half at Goodwill! I know you were looking at me like "why you got all that shit" but baby, I'm VIP with discounts, you know how it is! And thank you for taking me to Danny's Pizza Parlor for dinner. The food was incredible, but what really made our night special was our server Kathy. She was absolutely phenomenal! She treated us like family from the moment we sat down - chatting with us, suggesting menu items, and checking on us at just the right times. When I had to take that important phone call, she politely stepped away and came back at the perfect moment. She even sat down with us when I had to show her that a Blue Mother F*cker is a real drink - she was tickled! Even when I mentioned being an Elite Yelp member at the end, she didn't get nervous or change up - she just kept being her amazing self. That's real professionalism and genuine hospitality right there. We were so impressed we double tipped her! Thank you for such a perfect day, babe. First time ordering from this location. We wanted to try the Reuben Pizza featuring "Joes Deli" corned beef. Looks pretty nice inside, though no customers. Sorry to see that. The pizza was good, but not epic by any means. The crust was like the perfect level of crisp, but there was not a whole lot of corned beef. Especially when you think of Joes Deli, you think a massive amount of corned beef! It was $25 for a medium, so a bit disappointing. Had to go with 3 stars on this one. read more

Decided to check out their Christmas Pop Up in December. The entrance was decorated cute and that's where it stopped. We sat in a booth, asked the server if they had any Christmas ales on tap or holiday speciality beers...no. That was disappointing being a pop up bar. We ordered the meatballs for an appetizer and a small pizza and wings for entrees. Everything came out about the same time. Meatballs were good but not hot. Warm just not hot. The pizza was good but overpriced for 4 little pieces. I got the honey bee. I do recommend it just pricey. My boyfriend got the wings. He got honey chipotle; said they were good but not the best. The restaurant was about half full on a Friday. We had good service. Seemed like they had a lot of takeout orders. Hopefully next year the pop up will be a little bit more exciting than just the entrance to the hostess stand. And, I hope they have a good Christmas beer selection. Tis the season! read more

If I could give this place 1000 stars I would and that is because of Kathy, the server. I've had dinners/lunches/breakfasts all over the world and there is non better than Kathy. She is so friendly and efficient. She really knows how to care for her customers. That kind of customer care is rare these days. Additionally, the food is really great! The deep dish pizza is nothing more than a big crust folded over and the pizza is no thicker than any other pizza including their own. With the crust folded over that was that much less area for the toppings. The center pizza was just a normal pizza that did taste good. read more

I recently went local and order the only sub on the menu,I thought was a cold sub but it was hot, however it was hard bread, to much cheese, it's not everyone's choice, I ended up throwing it out as it was a shade tasteless and cooked to much, a cold sub would be b better. This location of Danny's allows dine-in customers. You won't see many people sitting outside eating though. Tried their pizza on the first day of Cleveland's Pizza Week that they opened for. The Danny's located at downtown Cleveland didn't pick up phone calls when we tried calling, so we ended up going on an extra drive to this location. My companion and I had the Honey Bee Pizza. The ten inch size is perfect for allowing two people to be satiated. The pizza itself was great. A generous amount of Ricotta cheese was on top of the pizza. I wish they put more of the honey drizzle that was the main interesting characteristic on the pizza though. Parking is plentiful. There's a good chance that you can find parking in front of Danny's itself. read more

And comes with a generous helping of their awesome bread. His only complaint was that you shouldn't have to use a knife to cut up the lettuce. Many pieces were large. I had the peppers and sausage which comes with seasoned pita. OMG. This dish is on the appetizer menu. Don't miss it. I came in for a quick dinner one evening - before a drive to Toledo. #TeamMCPc was having it's Cancer fundraiser. So I came by to participate. Sat at the bar and ordered a bowl of the White Chicken Chili. I asked for hot sauce - something besides Tabasco sauce. They have a house made hot wing sauce - the bartender brought me some of that! Outstanding! Mouth watering! I used most of it in the soup! I could take shots of that - it was so good! The food is amazing ! Let's start there. They add a 3.5% credit card fee to you bill when they present it to you. You have to ask them to remove it if paying cash. The service is horrendous. We went to the Sandusky location on a Saturday around 6:00. So, understandably there was a wait. Also, there was a large party having a birthday party. I understand that. But, once our server took our order, we didn't see her until we were finished eating. Another employee brought our food to the table. We were planning to order a pizza to go when the server checked back with us but, we literally never saw her. When she came to see us at the end of the meal, we told her we were all set and then waited 10 minutes for her to bring out our checks and another 10 minutes for her to come back and take our payment and another 10 to get our change. Seriously, it took us 30 mins to get out of there. Maybe it took so long because she had to recalculate our bill to remove the service charge which we didn't have to pay because we used cash. Here's an idea, factor in the cost of doing business (fixed costs, food, labor, to go boxes, credit card fees, etc) and price your food accordingly instead of dropping an imaginary 3.5% fee on the bill! Very fun place. Ambiance was clean and comfortable, with Italian pop culture all around. Took my wife & kids while visiting Olmsted Falls and the food was great. I had the deep dish, while my wife with celiac had a bunless burger with salad. We all played trivia from our table and my son even won a round. Our server couldn't have been nicer. I'd love to discuss the food but I never got to eat. We went on a Thursday night and were pleased to see many open tables. After a surprisingly long 10 minutes we were seated. Unfortunately we sat patiently for another 25 minutes without anyone stopping to even offer us water. At least 4 employees walked by and made eye contact but not one was trained in customer service. We finally asked the hostess if we needed to order at the bar or if it was self service and we thought she was going to get someone but.. after another wait we left. Excellent pizza, huge salads, and fabulous appetizers. We enjoy the zucchini fries, brussel sprouts, and the knotted garlic bread to start . . . Ohh, and meatball and sauce is excellent as well! We have difficulties in deciding which pizza to enjoy and have not tried their Chicago style pizza yet. The fold over with sausage, pepperoni, and onions is my favorite, while others enjoy the honey-bee pizza. For the first time we've been there, they had a musician playing mostly soft rock hits. It added to already fun and interesting environment. When leaving, we saw other musicians scheduled through April on Thursday nights. Look forward to returning. read more

Come on, if you don't think Danny Boys has the best pizza in Cleveland, you are just wrong. Their sauce has a richness that reminds me so much of the sauce I grew up on, it's crazy. The one my mom would make was tomato paste, red wine, herbs and spices. Also they have creative pies that might become your new favorite. The Nashville is my husband's (pickles and all) and I like a traditional pep mush, but sometimes slide forwards the honey bee. They have great options in their menu- pizzas, pastas, calzones and salads, etc! I went with my family and we each got the house salad and we split 2 small pizzas! They offer a variety of different sizes and styles of pizza!!! (Yes please!) We got the original margarita pizza and the "social" clevelander pizza. The pesto angel hair pasta with salmon was overloaded with sauce, even the salmon was soaked in that pesto sauce. The food is great. But Although they ask for a Contact Phone Number for your delivery order.. The delivery driver(s) did NOT call the number to locate me. This is what happened tonight after making a delivery order at 5:46 PM. I didn't even find out they gave up on my delivery until I called at approximately a 1.5 hours later; nevertheless receive some horrifying attitude from the girl who took my order and then put on the manager(who said she is also the Owner). The Owner/manager began with cutting me off and instantly assuming I'm at fault. Then proceeded to imply I was lying to them about not being called. Pushed to try and redeliver the cold food that's been waiting. And took no responsibility for what happened! To give further details; I am staying at a hotel. In an attempt to elude fault, they pushed that the Front Desk called my room. All in all; I couldve been in any other part of the hotel. In this case I went outside for a 5 min to smoke a cigarette. I was staring at my phone for the whole 1.5 hours waiting for them to call; they never did. I added 3 more Stars because the manager/owner insisted to make my food again and redeliver it all over again. Which they did and it was timely (8:10pm. Took 30minutes) THE FOOD IS GREAT BTW. I highly doubt that the Covid disclaimer that pops up before you get a chance to leave a review has anything to do with the quality of food. I realize that's something that Yelp most likely has pop up on all reviews. I digress. We ordered a medium pizza which was on the smallish side compared to other pizza places. The pizza was very greasy. And the sweet potato fries were equally as greasy. None of it was appetizing. And I felt bad for the Door Dash person that Danny Boys did not make sure that all items were included with the order. They had to send another Door Dash driver to deliver the 2 liter of pop that was not included. Paid for but not included in delivery. Experience was not the greatest and the food was not appetizing. We wanted to like it... first time ordering from them and looks like the last time. read more
