Traditional breakfast. One with biscuits and chorizo sausage. The other with white bread and bacon.

Got on the waitlist an hour ahead and got in around 15 minutes early. We were seated in a booth. Timely service . Coffee is always hot and fresh. Service was good. Overall, food came out quickly and everything was done the way we requested. Shout out to the chef who made my poached eggs perfectly. The restaurant was not noisy but casual, friendly vibe. You will not be disappointed

The Sleepy Rooster was the perfect place for the four of us to get a nice sit down lunch. We got seated right away on the weekday during peak lunch hours. The service was great- everyone was very friendly. My boyfriends mom introduced me to the Geotta. I really liked it, it was like a salty type of pancake. Never had it before but im glad I got to try it at the sleepy rooster. The shrimp and grits looked awesome. Can't go wrong with a classic breakfast. I got the french dip which was very filling and delicious. Bound to have left overs with this one.

The Sleepy Rooster is the perfect brunch spot, lots of natural lighting and fabulous service. The portions are large and shareable, with unique flavor combinations. The servers here are what make the place, they're all very kind and helpful.

Stopped in the sleepy rooster for breakfast and enjoyed our meal! The wait was pretty long but we were able to join the waitlist from Google before we even left the house which was super nice. The biscuits are a must try, I got the breakfast biscuit sandwich, potatoes, and side of sausage gravy. My husband got the chorizo hash which he really enjoyed. A little pricey for breakfast but you get a lot of food.

Cute little place in a strip mall. Was visiting my son and looking for a breakfast place nearby. Definitely need to put your name in the waitlist (they don't take reservations). We waited for a table for 2. Service was quick and friendly. Lots of delicious options - we shared a side of blueberry pancake which was delicious. You get a choice of pancake syrup or maple syrup. I'm not from the Midwest so I don't know what pancake syrup is so we opted for maple syrup. My husband had the French dip grilled cheese which was a pretty big portion. I ordered the chorizo hash - both delicious! Would like to try, again for lunch when we're back in town.

Decorated with rooster decor. Welcoming and open. Our server was very sweet. My husband ordered the chorizo hash and he enjoyed it. I had the goetta and eggs over medium with dry white toast. It was tasty. I liked that the toast was a really good bread. For two, eggs, toast and sausage it was a bit pricey. I would consider returning if in the area again.

Amazing every time we go. Our favorite breakfast place hands down. We love the friendly staff, amazing food and their online waitlist.

This is my mom and stepdad's post-pickleball breakfast tradition - a bit more expensive of an option, but I can certainly see why! The goetta is a must-try IMO, especially if you've never had it before. Such a unique texture - like a breakfast sausage patty had a baby with a hasbrown. The chorizo in my meal was so scrumptious - large pieces with the perfect char and super hearty. Very much a family-friendly place with more than just your standard brunch options - portions are generous and the service is great since everything is basically in one room so your waiter is always accessible. Super homey feel with the feel of a hometown staple and with very modern sleek. Loved it!

    Goetta with eggs and toast

This was an excellent place for breakfast, my family and I were impressed! It's got a bright and welcoming atmosphere and friendly service. I ordered the Goetta and eggs (first time trying goetta): the goetta was seasoned like a breakfast sausage but was light, non-greasy, and thin. It is crumbly (and thus hard to share), but I'm very glad I tried it! My only criticism from my meal was that the eggs were a little bland - they would've tasted better if cooked in butter. The toast had a good texture and crunch (you can tell they don't just buy generic bagged bread from the grocery store). I also tried a bit of the biscuits and gravy: they make rich, creamy, and delicious sausage gravy. The potatoes were twice cooked, so they were crunchy and amazing. I'd love to come back here and I highly recommend it!

The space is dark and cozy and you'll forget all about the CVS outside by the time you sit down. The menu offers a nice variety of small plates, salads, sandwiches, entrees and pizzas. There are also cocktails, wine and a small but sufficient selection of beers on tap. The prices feel a couple dollars higher than you'd want them to be ($18 for a smash burger or a 12-inch pizza) but are comparable with similar restaurants in the area. My parents and I split the Medjool dates starter, Crunchy Greens salad and a mushroom pizza and all were very good and enough for all of us to enjoy (sorry, forgot to take pics). We drove this way after cross country skiing at Punderson State Park, and I can imagine us going back after our next outing there. Do recommend if you're in the area.

Per our request, our party of six was seated on the outdoor patio overlooking the Chagrin River waterfall, which made for a beautiful setting. One thing to note: you cannot reserve patio seating in advance, but you can request it upon arrival if space is available. We started with four appetizers: *Heavenly Biscuits - AMAZING. *Short Rib Potstickers - Excellent. *Spinach Artichoke Dip - Excellent. *Grilled Artichoke - Good, but not really my style of dish. For entrées, we tried several different items: *Grilled Fish of the Day (Grouper) - Excellent, although the portion was on the smaller side. *Lake Erie Walleye Fish & Chips - Very good. *Thai Steak Noodle Salad - Excellent. *Steak and Frites - Excellent. We also ordered two sides: *Coleslaw - Very good. Is it the best coleslaw I've ever had? No. Is it excellent and worth ordering? Absolutely. *Roasted Baby Yukons - Excellent. Since we were celebrating a birthday, the restaurant graciously provided a complimentary dessert sundae. While the gesture was appreciated, I do wish guests were given a choice of dessert. The sundae was fine, but with several outstanding ice cream shops nearby, the ice cream itself was fairly average. Service was quick and efficient overall. There were a few minor areas for improvement: Wet naps would have been appreciated, as we had to request extra napkins multiple times throughout the meal. Service slowed down a bit during the dinner rush. The steak entrée arrived noticeably later than the rest of the main courses, which may have been due to the kitchen being overwhelmed. It also took a little longer than expected to receive extra plates when requested. These were relatively minor issues, however, and did not significantly detract from the evening. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience with great food, a beautiful patio overlooking the waterfall, and solid service. We would gladly return and would certainly recommend it for special occasions or a nice evening out.

The food was overall, very bland. It was expertly prepared, fresh, and beautiful. But the taste was quite boring. Be prepared to eat a second dinner when you get home. Also be prepared to sit at the bar- this place is very tiny. The vibe is nice. Low ceiling, dimly lit, comfortable cozy. The server/ bartender (I'm pretty sure she was running the whole place) Nikki, was phenomenal. So friendly, good drinks. We started with the oysters which were good. The mignonette sauce was a little different, it had lemon zest in it. It was very good! But the give you laughable amount. Like, a splash. Then we had the fig and prosciutto toast. This was the highlight for us. Tasty all the way around, 4 generous servings on the plate. Jam was so good and the prosciutto was warmed up ever so slightly. I had the hangar steak with some unseasoned boiled carrots. The steak was tender and high quality, but I couldn't taste a bit of seasoning. Also served with a tiny crispy potato pancake. Husband had the halibut special. This had some wasabi crust and if you got a bite of the wasabi it was good. The bites that weren't crusted were boring fish. Again, very fresh and prepared well. Black rice and asparagus also boring. I got a hint of lemon on one bite I tried. We also had the Brussels sprouts, which were charred along with the few pork belly pieces. Husband finished with a whiskey crème brûlée which he enjoyed. He did not, however, enjoy his Dark and Stormy. He said it was all booze and no beer or mix. Sadly, we won't be back.
