We dined 07/24/2026. We group of almost 20 for a birthday celebration. The restaurant was very busy but the service was amazing. Our reservation was 07:15pm and we were greeted and seated promptly. The servers were spectacular. They were very attentive and paid close attention detail. The servers made sure we had beverages at all times. Now on to the food and drinks. I had the espresso martini it was of the best I've ever had. For dinner I ordered the catch of the day which was a seafood linguine and it was good little spice which elevated the dish to new heights. I also had the spinach dip very flavorful. My husband had the meatballs and for entree the prime rib sandwich which he said was delicious. Overall the ambiance was very pleasant and the staff were very welcoming. We joined a friends' group to celebrate a birthday. The staff and manager provided excellent service and took great care of us. The restaurant itself has a great farmhouse feel and lots of space. The food was well-prepared, and we had no complaints about flavor. I think the meatballs and orimerib could have been a little more seasoned, but that is just my preference. This was amazing I didn't try an entree because I wasn't super hungry. I ordered an order of honey mustard wings and I was highly impressed. My buddy got an order of Irish egg rolls and I had to get an order for myself. They had corned beef inside and sauerkraut with 1000 island dressing to dip it in super good. The waitress was quick and attentive. Also the casual environment I would say business casual a little more upscale or going to a nice place like this I spent about 58 bucks on two drinks and two appetizers which I mean they blew me away I forgot to mention the wings were breaded and they had a nice crunch to them I love it. read more

Visited the brown Barn for lunch. They were modernist but able to seat us quickly. My wife sipped on tea while we decided on lunch. We started with an order of Bacon Potato Barrels. Fantastic! She got the Honey crispy chicken sandwich and I got the Spicy chicken sandwich. Both were great. The spicy sauce was flavorful but messy. Worth it! We enjoyed the view of the slopes as we ate and it added to the ambiance of the place. Will definitely visit again and sample more of the menu. read more

First and foremost, the quality of the food stood out. We started with water -- we don't drink out of plastic, so Hailey was kind enough to bring our table water in glasses. I also asked for a lemon wedge, not a slice, since you can't squeeze a slice. Next came our espresso martinis, one for each of us. We actually felt the bang for our buck -- strong, well-balanced, and worth every penny. For our appetizer, we shared the gluten-free BBT meatballs. It was delightful. Then our Cobb salads arrived, each with shrimp added. We requested a side of extra-virgin olive oil -- not a blend -- and the kitchen got it right. For dessert, we shared the cheesecake, minus the graham cracker crust because my friend is gluten-free. I would have preferred the kitchen plate it for sharing and provide dessert silverware with it, instead of us having to flag someone down. I'm also industrial seed oil free, and Hailey was attentive to both of our dietary needs throughout. The manager, Chris Nichols, stopped by to check in and ensure we were satisfied -- a clear sign the restaurant is customer centric. I actually thought Chris was the GM. Kudos to the general manager, Ben Lano, for inspiring great teamwork. Lastly, I give the ambience four stars, simply because we don't have a Michelin-starred restaurant in Ohio. read more

We frequent to the brown barn tavern and this time we went there for brunch. It was surprisingly busy! We got traditional coffee and orange juice my son got chicken and waffles my wife got the avocado toast and I got the skillet. My son's Chicken and waffles was a monstrous piece of chicken he's a teenage boy he can eat anything but even he was challenged by how large this chicken breast was. The syrup is a Chipotle spicy syrup which he didn't care for he's a traditionalist. My Skillet could not have been a better way to satisfy my breakfast needs. I typically get scrambled but it came out super duper hot I doused with hot sauce and inhaled it. My wife had the avocado toast really not for me but again she wrecked it. I really am struggling for this review because the brown Barn is my favorite place to go and it is literally perfect. Two friendly and professional bartenders approached me , received my order and filled it within moments - a steady stream of mouth watering Arnold Palmers with fresh juicy lemons and full ice cubes... A wonderful warm barn floor holds two open and rather large seating areas for guests ... The excellent wait staff are as attentive to detail as they are to grumpy golfers ( I arrived from nearby Fowler 's Mill Golf Course - one of Ohio's top three public golf courses) ...they are so sweet. What i like best was the Energy - in this bursting at the seams Ohio Tavern - evidenced by tables of friends meeting friends and multi-generational families of ten to twelve who fill neighborly tables. Although there was no noticeable room at the Bar, at 6:15 pm on an autumn Wednesday evening , a nice space was made and i settled in for the evening I ordered a Goat and Red Beet Salad with a Bacon Barn Burger ... i wasn 't disappointed. We pushed our luck and just showed up for dinner at 5 pm. Got lucky!!! Sat at the bar. GREAT service and the food was delicious. That pretzel is humongous. The cheese sauce is good but that spicy mustard is wondeful. Spicy chicken wasn't that spicy so if want spice go for hot but it was yummy. Onion rings are good. Companion had fries and the burger with the egg on top (sorry, no picture) and scarfed those down. Last week, we headed out to Chardon and made our way to Alpine Valley, where we were treated to some breathtaking views and a delightful meal at the Brown Barn restaurant. With the weather being absolutely perfect, we chose to dine al fresco. The gentle breeze and sunshine created a wonderfully light atmosphere. We loved being on the patio, elevated and gazing over the stunning ski area. Our server was incredibly charming, making the experience even better. We decided to indulge in their Sunday special: BBQ pork ribs that were simply out of this world, along with their refreshing berry salad. For dessert, we couldn't resist the chocolate ganache cake, which was the cherry on top of an already fantastic meal. We had such a great time that we signed up for their club! With a spend of $350, you get $25 back--though I may have the details slightly off. Me and my friend went in for a beer. There were no seats at the bar so we sat at a table. We sat there for 20 minutes and now waitress came by. So I ordered two beers from the bar. We're drinking our beers and some Gestapo guy came by and said the table is reserved and we'd have to leave in a bit. There was no reserved sign on the table and two thirds of the surrounding tables were empty. Another five minutes go by and another Gestapo guy comes by and says the table is reserved and said we'd need to get a seat at the bar. There weren't any. So we stood up and waited and after about 20 minutes two seats became open at the bar so we took them. We were there for over an hour and the table the Gestapo said we needed to leave was empty the entire time. This i one screwed up restaurant. read more

Not sure why it took us this long to try this place out! Had no idea what to expect, so called the day of for reservations. They told us they're all booked and weekend reservations are made 2-3 days out. SO we took a gamble driving there for bar seats. It was packed, but we walked in at the right time and found the only two available seats at the bar. Started off with drinks and an appetizer of the Aji tuna and the shrimp. Tuna was delicious and the sauce added a nice touch... But I do prefer it more rare. Was a little disappointed in the shrimp as it was very breaded and fried. I guess we expected some thing a little less fried. We then each ordered a bowl of soup... French onion and lobster bisque. Both were absolutely amazing. Dor an "entree"my husband ordered the garlic Parmesan wings and I ordered the smoked pastrami Reuben. Both were delicious. My favorite is the brown sugar brined grilled pork chop which comes with Mac and cheese, grilled brussel sprouts and a peach chutney that is to die for. Order it medium and thank me later . My husband loves their wings, cooked well done and this time tried and thoroughly enjoyed the dry jerk rub. My son swears by the chicken Philly and I must say, it's plentiful and well seasoned. And that's saying something. We try to come at least once a month but try to make reservations on the weekend as it's ALWAYS crowded. Had the chicken fingers off the appetizer menu and it's actually real chicken that they bread there, not some bagged stuff most places throw in the fryer. So tender and delicious. The person at the desk said they were booked and there was no room except on the sweltering patio. The man at front could have said"we have no help" that would have made more sense!
