One Slice of Roast Beef on your $10.00 All American Sub?? One Tablespoon of Tuna on your $9.00 Tuna??? ( with a 'sprinkle' of Romano cheese?) What a joke.

Got the big dave and meatball with extra pickles. Big Dave had inedible pieces of chewy hard meat. I didn't get the normal pickle with my sandwich. The extra pickles I ordered are soft and weird dark color. They are usually crisp and white. Seems like a totally different place.

There's nowhere else like it. The crunch of the bread. The unique Dave's sauce. Fresh ingredients. Awesome customer service and unmatched decor. Whether it's the Dave's Original or a number 7, you will be satisfied.

Dave's is a solid local chain. It originated in Chagrin Falls, and any Ohioan will tell you that a trip to get a Dave's sub is an NEO right of passage. In truth, I'm not like a die-hard Dave's fan, but I do like the #18 with the Italian sausage. The Dave's Marinara sauce is soooo delicious, and when it soaks into the bread it basically creates this hot mess that's really tasty and requires approximately 100 napkins. Its pretty much the only sandwich I've had at Dave's that keeps me coming back. I need to give major props to this location. Usually, this sandwich takes 10+ minutes to make at other locations (which they disclose), but for some reason, its always ready in just a few short minutes in Hudson. Not sure why, but it just comes out super speedy. Love the decor in this Dave's (and all Daves'). You can't beat the retro-hippie-vintage-music inspired vibes, which radiate in the form of hand-drawn art, records, and vintage posters. This is sort've the way to my heart... good music. Also, today, a super cute guy and I had an eye contact moment, so that rules. I'll visit again.

Order a sub with no bread. Unlike the sub they gave me the mushrooms bell raw and charged a dollar more for less work. Gross.

Love their subs! Especially #12 veggie! But the Hudson Ohio store uses artichoke hearts that you could use for roofing shingles.

I'll commend them on the meatball sub. They avoided the critical mistake of putting too much bread into the equation and losing the flavor. This was a very meatball-forward experience with a beef and pork blended meatball, seasoned with Italian spices. Highly recommend! Service was unreal. Career first where I couldn't keep up with drink refills. They had a new lemonade on the table after a couple sips each time.

They use this location to butcher the meat, and then sell it through the restaurant. To buy cuts of beef to go, you need to go to their Akron store (which I will go out of my way to find soon). Big display case where they have sides of beef hanging, coolest thing I've ever seen! Well almost....the coolest thing I've ever seen is the wall of bourbon behind the bar. I like bourbon, and I've NEVER seen a collection this vast. Good thing I live on the other side of town, or I would go broke coming into this place daily! Learned they make road trips to KY for taste tests. Most recently, they went to Buffalo Trace and sampled several different barrels of Blanton's Gold. Found one they liked and had the whole barrel bottled up for their exclusive sale. At $11/ounce, that's a great deal! They also have a nice retail selection of wines, priced at reasonable prices. There is a day each week when they sell them to the restaurant patrons at retail price which is a bargain considering most places mark them up 2-3x. For lunch I had a blackened chicken salad of some sort. The chicken was a nice amount and was simply delicious! Need to come back again when I'm not cutting calories for the beef!

Derek was responsive and very helpful. He spent time with me on the phone to discuss the event and made menu suggestions for what would work for the number of guests we expected to attend and he visited the site to see the space in advance of the event. On the day of the event, he arrived early to ensure that everything was set-up and ready ahead of our guests' arrival. He made two trips to our location, one for breakfast and one for lunch and he remained on-site during lunch to fill in items as needed. The quality of the food was excellent. We served a light breakfast and lunch. The breakfast pastries were baked that morning as were the cookies and cobbler bites and it was apparent in the quality. The sliders, salad and the assorted mini bites were well presented and delicious. I would not hesitate to hire them again for another event.

We were seated immediately and greeted by our server. The service overall was very slow, it did take a while for water to come out, and then for our drinks to come. It seemed like somewhat of a busy night, but the service was still extremely slow. For drinks, we ordered the strawberry lemon drop, and the champagne sangria. We were told the strawberry lemon drop was sweet and that's why I ordered it. It was the exact opposite. So bitter that I had to ask to switch it because that's how bitter it was. The champagne sangria was just okay. For appetizers, we ordered the buffalo chicken spring rolls. These were OVERLY fried. It felt like I was eating fried dough with some bits of chicken. Flavor was okay, but I definitely wouldn't order these again. We also ordered a Cesar salad, and a greens salad. These were both very delicious. The Cesar salad was very good and you can request it with our without the anchovies on top. We ordered a lobster bisque soup as well which was good. For dinner, we ordered the Twin Filet Medallions. I ordered mine medium. The issue with this was that one of the filets was cooked medium, and one was cooked medium rare. The one that was cooked medium was absolutely delicious, the one that was medium rare was not as good. I was disappointed with this because I only enjoyed 1 out 2 of the filet. This dish came with a side of mashed potatoes and string beans. The plate itself was HOT, however the temperature of the mashed potatoes was warm on the outside, and then the inside was cold. For desserts, we ordered the crème brûlée, the chocolate cake, and the cheesecake. The crème brûlée was by far the best dessert. The top was nice and crispy and the flavor was delicious. The chocolate cake was huge, and also really good. The cheesecake I would not recommend because if it wasn't for the peach compote on top, it would have no flavor. It was very very bland. Overall, I would return to this restaurant and probably try different menu options. The service and consistency of the food lacked, but I would love to give it another try.

The entry is crowded and how people would move around to get food and sit down is convoluted. On top of the poor flow of human feet, the bathrooms are super small, gaps in the stalls far too large (peeping eyes beware) and someone needs to do a good detail. On the upside?
