Rosewood Grill was an excellent birthday dinner choice. We had reservations for 5PM on a Tuesday and arrived about 10 minutes early. We were seated immediately and instantly felt our experience was going to be top notch. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, upscale but still casual. We ordered the deviled eggs and the sushi shots as an appetizer. The shots were amazing. Fish was fresh and the wontons dipped in the sauce were fantastic. The deviled eggs were just ok and tasted like any normal deviled egg. Nothing to write home about, but fine. For my entree I ordered the mixed grill and chose the Caesar salad and lobster tail. I think it was one of the best Caesar's I've ever had. The steak was cooked perfectly and the tail was huge! The potatoes were good but a little gummy (potato snob checking in. They were still edible and I finished them, no complaints.) There was some awkwardness in ordering my birthday dessert, however. The server that filled our waters when we were initially seated asked if we were celebrating anything - yes my birthday! She mentioned that I would get a brownie with ice cream on the house. Awesome! My favorite! I don't think this was communicated to our actual waitress. When I asked about the brownie she said "yeah it's a birthday thing, but I think I can make that happen". But.... It's my birthday :'( I felt like a jerk making some special request. My brownie came out without a candle. I overheard a woman at another table also celebrating a birthday and she got a candle with her birthday dessert. I hate to sound like an ungrateful pick me brat, but I wish this would have been communicated to our waitress. Having to ask about the brownie made me feel awkward. I can deal without a candle I swear!! But why wasn't it communicated to our actual server that we were celebrating? It's really all in the little details. But definitely not a make or break. We visited all the way from Pittsburgh, and talked about the meal all the way home and how delicious everything was. We will absolutely make the trip back. read more

Upon entering this restaurant, the ambiance immediately catches your attention. It is so pretty inside. Very rustic/fancy and a very elegant vibe. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server. The service overall was very slow, it did take a while for water to come out, and then for our drinks to come. It seemed like somewhat of a busy night, but the service was still extremely slow. For drinks, we ordered the strawberry lemon drop, and the champagne sangria. We were told the strawberry lemon drop was sweet and that's why I ordered it. It was the exact opposite. So bitter that I had to ask to switch it because that's how bitter it was. The champagne sangria was just okay. For appetizers, we ordered the buffalo chicken spring rolls. These were OVERLY fried. It felt like I was eating fried dough with some bits of chicken. Flavor was okay, but I definitely wouldn't order these again. We also ordered a Cesar salad, and a greens salad. These were both very delicious. The Cesar salad was very good and you can request it with our without the anchovies on top. We ordered a lobster bisque soup as well which was good. For dinner, we ordered the Twin Filet Medallions. I ordered mine medium. The issue with this was that one of the filets was cooked medium, and one was cooked medium rare. The one that was cooked medium was absolutely delicious, the one that was medium rare was not as good. I was disappointed with this because I only enjoyed 1 out 2 of the filet. This dish came with a side of mashed potatoes and string beans. The plate itself was HOT, however the temperature of the mashed potatoes was warm on the outside, and then the inside was cold. For desserts, we ordered the crème brûlée, the chocolate cake, and the cheesecake. The crème brûlée was by far the best dessert. The top was nice and crispy and the flavor was delicious. The chocolate cake was huge, and also really good. The cheesecake I would not recommend because if it wasn't for the peach compote on top, it would have no flavor. It was very very bland. Overall, I would return to this restaurant and probably try different menu options. The service and consistency of the food lacked, but I would love to give it another try. read more

Came here to celebrate a birthday. Made a reservation for 6:45, got there at 6:35 no one else looked to be waiting. Was seated around 6:55 and then it starts going down hill. Wasn't able to get our food order in till about 7:20 then food didn't come out till after 8pm. Ate and then waited to wrap things up and finally left about 8:45. Our server was great, she did apologize that she wasn't on top of her game as she stated there were only 3 servers for the whole restaurant and she had a good sized section but also got seated outside so her area was spread poorly. Anytime we asked for something it took a while. I truly loved our server she was fantastic. Ultimately it sounds like poor management and from the people you could see doing tables were the bussers and servers. Never once did a manager, owner, or anyone higher come over to help any of servers or tables. I've worked in food and I was disappointed but also empathetic. For a first experience unsure if I want to come back. read more

My son-in-law took me for dinner at the Rosewood Grill in Hudson, Oh for Mother's Day. He had the prime rib and baked potato and ate it with great gusto. I, on the other hand had Chicken Anna. I thought I was eating Campbell's Soup broccoli, cheese, chicken and rice casserole. Instead of the risotto being creamy it was gloopy, with undercooked rice, and over cooked broccoli. The chicken was salty and tasted like turkey. Our server was very pleasant and properly tentative to our needs. The ambiance was quite beautiful I give this a 3 star for all aspects with the exception of my meal. I do not typically write reviews but for the price of this meal I think my son-in-law should have gotten better for his money. read more

My favorite restaurant in Hudson, but that is mostly because they have excellent Crème Brûlée! However the service is excellent and they have excellent Sunday prices and there is always seating available. So glad we don't have to go far for great dessert! read more

I liked the setting and ambiance better than the food. The layout and seating was really nice. I had a salad and the roasted cauliflower entree. They were both just good. I hoped the cauliflower would be more tender but it was still too crispy for me. The food that it was on top of was the best part. If I were local, I'd go again and try something else. read more

I used to go a lot, but the last two times I have been there, one for brunch and one for dinner -- I was extremely disappointed. The quality of food has depreciated for the price. The specials were over priced for the presentation and portion size. And the food was exceptionally salty both times I went. We stopped in with a part of two on a Saturday night around 7 and they were able to squeeze us in at a bar table! The service was very prompt and friendly, they have a great cocktail menu and had some seasonal specials, and the food was good. We ordered the pigs in a blanket which were good but not very much food for how much they are. I got the almond crusted walleye and the rice was super flavorful, and the crust was great, but it just needed a bit of salt. My boyfriend ordered the burger and said it was good, the fries were great with the rosemary and garlic. He was especially impressed that the bartender was on top of switching the games on the tv's (guardians playoffs, must watch!) Would come back again! read more

Deviled eggs, coconut shrimp, sliders, mussels...all to die for. The cocktail menu for $6 drinks...absolutely the best drinks. My favorite was the Little Black Dress. The martini and Black Currant Ginger Margarita was outstanding. Our first time in Ohio and we love the freshness of the food and the flavors. The service here is fantastic. Most of the food is pretty decent here. They have a couple of decent drinks and they make their own special aged barrel bourbon but expect to pay I believe it was $25 for a glass. The ambience is amazing in this place. They have an outdoor patio with a fireplace. If you're coming on a Friday or Saturday and you don't come early expect to wait. The service here is friendly but the food is not worth writing home about. I came here for brunch with my family and the quality of the food was average at best. The chorizo hash was a let down and the eggs were severely over cooked despite asking for over easy. The hash was also missing the peppers, onions, and salsa roja. The French toast was very dry and the peaches on top were cold. The starters were nice (we had the donut holes, avocado toast, and lobster bisque). Overall a subpar experience for brunch. Today's visit was a 5 star experience. This was my first visit to Rosewood Grill, but definitely not my last. Girls day out for my daughters, mom and myself. We truly enjoyed Sunday Brunch. We started with the Monkey Bread....yummy cinnamon roll minis baked in a cast iron pan. We also had the lemon & lavender and sunrise mimosas. I ordered the wild mushroom frittata with a side of multi-grain toast. We also ordered the Chicken Benny and Chicken & Waffles. The frittata was delicious, loaded with fresh mushrooms, caramelized onions and gruyere cheese. Thick sliced toast with strawberry preserves. Last but not least, our server, Tess, was wonderful. My husband and I came here for a date night and were impressed with the social hour deals in the bar from 3-6. The night we were there, we enjoyed half off a bottle of their moscato. We sat at the bar and service was very good. We ordered the lobster bisque, the pigs in a blanket, the buffalo chicken egg rolls, the sliders, a side of fries, and the salmon Caesar salad. All of this, including the wine, was less than $100. Their happy hour menu is extensive and has kids of great options. My only complaint was that the sliders were served cooked medium and I don't like my meat pink. I didn't realize I should have specified that I wanted mine cooked medium well. I guess I could have said something and I'm sure they would have fixed it for me, but they were busy and I didn't want to send my good back. The ambiance here is beautiful and perfect for a date or a girls night out. Lots of great food and beverage options. Located in charming downtown Hudson. Great "social hour" place the coconut shrimp and salmon salad is great. But you have to sit in the bar area. You can sit outside during good weather and they have an outside fireplace. Full dinners are served in a large dinning room. The food is good but no one dish stands out to me. We usually just go for social hour. Also perfect for a girls night out. read more

My friend and I were passing through the area on a road trip and stopped in for a bite to eat one Thursday night. For being a weeknight and during covid times it was pretty busy (good sign)!! Tables were well spaced out and my friend and I loved our little booth for 2. Our server was super friendly and attentive despite it being relatively busy! We were celebrating + on vacation so we went all out with dinner. We got the sushi shots (good but too much guacamole) and tempura calamari (delicious) to start. For dinner, I ordered the scallops which were delicious and came with amazing brussels sprouts that had a bacon vinaigrette on them. They also gave us the option to add a lobster or filet a la carte so we decided to get a lobster tail to try. The lobster was just OK but still pretty good considering we were in OH. We also ordered a bottle of Veuve for $80 which I thought was a steal!! We were so stuffed by the end of our meal we practically rolled out. We both really enjoyed ourselves here. read more

I've driven by many times and I know others who have been for lunch/dinner and said it was okay. We went for brunch on a Saturday. They were not busy though it took a moment to get seated. The hostess was seating a bigger group but the manager did not have a clie as to where to seat us. Once seated we were greeted quickly and our waiter was great. I had the fresh squeezed orange juice mimosa to start. It wasn't anything special. We had the lemon ricotta pancakes, eggs Benedict, and the biscuits and gravy. The pancakes were good. The fruit compote was really good. The eggs Benedict was fine. The biscuits & gravy was okay. I expected more from it and larger biscuits I guess. The menu had a nice variety and the prices were acceptable. Our service after being seated was good. It just wasn't a wow experience and I'm in no rush to return though I'd go back it wouldn't be the top of my list - at least for brunch. read more
