We were looking for a dessert place and LuLu's did not disappoint! I don't do well with dairy so I greatly appreciate the sorbets. I love the owner of the store. He stands up for what he believes in and has great integrity. Now as for the ice cream store itself what a great place for soft serve yogurt that you can apply whatever toppings you want and mix whatever ice cream do you want to make your own concoction. Lots of fun here. Be careful though because you can wind up taking way more ice cream than you could ever. read more

The inside was very clean. The chlorine smell was a bit much at first but you get used it it quickly. The topping were fresh and the frozen yogurt and custard were very tasty. The outside was was nice with tables and chairs enjoying the Hudson shopping area. We would come again. read more

I did it, it's all my fault. I returned to the scene of the crime. I thought it would only be fair to offer them a second chance. I can't even say they're a-ok, it would make my tongue bend backwards...because nothing changed from my first visit. The floors were still filthy. The topping bar was still a disaster. The only good thing was this little raspberry filled chocolate cup they offer for topping. No yogurt chips, no white chocolate chips--simply shameful. I had a tiny cup...you know the size that would be a kiddie cone anywhere else, $4. Four dollars. A rip off. Bring in a family of four, and at that rate you're paying more than what you would at notoriously expensive Cold Stone. My friend and I were looking for dessert after dining in Hudson, and we came across this fro yo place. It was like most places Ive been where it is priced by weight. They have a huge variety of flavors, probably twice as many as typical fro yo places like Menchies. The texture was perfect, a good amount of creamy and icey. They definitely had more candy toppings than anything, which is fine with me, as I prefer those over fruit anyway on fro yo. The store seemed laid out a bit weird. Instead of moving from left to right, the line started on the right and went left. That wasn't too much of a hindrance to me though. Overall, I thought the price was comparable to Menchies and it was much better quality. I would recommend this place if you're in the area and looking for a sweet treat! read more

I have been to Lulu's twice now since the opening and I think this place is pretty good. I heard they were going to have a selection of Italian pastries as well, which I did not see on my first two visits, so perhaps that is still in the works. In the meantime, I will be back to enjoy more delicious frozen yogurt. The product itself seems to be of high quality and it is definitely delicious. On my first visit, I tried the watermelon sorbet/vanilla bean yogurt swirl, and on my second visit I had the 'strawberry shortcake' combo topped with strawberries. Both choices were very smooth, flavorful, and delicious. The and taste is very rich and smooth, more like soft serve ice cream than yogurt. Friends tried the caramel sea salt pretzel which they described as 'delicious' and 'addicting'. Price wise it seemed reasonable, especially compared to other ice cream/yogurt shops in town--Blue Kiwi and ColdStone are ridiculously priced and in my opinion do not taste as good as what I have tried so far at LuLu's. My boyfriend and I paid $3.60 for two reasonably sized portions of yogurt (mine was topped with fruit as well), plus a water bottle. My family paid about $14 for yogurt for 6 people the other time we visited, and I will admit that the youngest member of our party went completely overboard with the quantity of yogurt and toppings he selected :) So, I can see where it could be expensive to have kids filling the massive cups to the top and then piling on candy and all the other toppings. However, getting a reasonable serving of yogurt here is cheaper than even one scoop of ice cream or a cup of yogurt at the other places in town. In terms of customer service/organization, four out of five uniformed employees I encountered during my visits were bright, personable, and helpful, and the fifth one just seemed like she was new and a bit shy. Like most ice cream or yogurt shops, the employees are high school or young college age students. Since Lulu's just opened, it is likely they are all brand new! So, if they don't know off the top of their heads yet which yogurt flavors are non-fat versus low fat, or which are sugar-free versus gluten-free, etc. etc. . . . I think a bit of a learning curve is okay. They also currently have sample cups available so customers can taste if they are trying to decide between two flavors. The atmosphere is similar to other ice cream shops... busy, a bit loud, and full of happy, sugar-high people. Since it is self-serve, kids might tend to get a little over excited and wild. I think if the atmosphere seems chaotic as another reviewer mentioned, perhaps it is the parents' responsibility to keep their kids in line and help them choose their yogurts and toppings, rather than depending on the employees to direct traffic, baby-sit, clean, and manage the register at the same time. I am willing to bet that once Lulus get their pastries/coffee up and running and the employees have some more experience under their belt, this place will be worthy of five stars on Yelp. For now, I'm giving it four, and I'm happy to return to enjoy some froyo with friends and family. read more

This is pretty typical of lots of frozen yogurt places popping up around the country. You fill your cup with whatever flavor or flavors you like and dress it up at the topping bar. They had a dozen or so flavors like orange creamsicle, banana, salted caramel pretzel (what I had) and cookie dough. I really don't think mine tasted anything like salted caramel pretzel. Several other reviews mention a messy topping bar and store. It was well stocked and clean tonight. However, it was also Memorial Day so I think they were slow. This is also why we came here tonight....everything else was closed. I really feel like these places should have more 'core' flavors like chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. They'd probably make more off toppings this way. Some of these flavors are hard to pair with a topping. I also question what kind of artificial crap has been added to these to make them low fat and fat free and give them flavors at the same time. All and all an ok trip, like I said earlier, nothing else was open. read more

I don't understand people's gripes about the prices here. The quality of the yogurt and the array of toppings really sets Lulus apart from the chain yogurt shops. I love the fact that they have cones, waffle bowls, brownies, and shortcake to build your favorite sundae or treat. read more

My mom and I have a routine of coming here as a sweet chaser to lunch at nearby Aladdins. I've found the place to be quite clean, and the yogurt and custard flavors to be generally delicious. They try hard to create interesting pairings in each of the machines, so that the swirled versions produce combinations such as orange creamsicle and chocolate covered pretzel. I do wish that they would carry an original tart yogurt, the plain kind that started this fro-yo craze, but perhaps it's not a popular flavor. Yogurt priced by the ounce is never going to be economical, regardless of the chain you go to, so I don't think it's fair to critique this store on a universal truth (as others have). I have noticed that their customer service is all over the map. One afternoon we were served by a women who was potentially the store's owner. She was exceedingly knowledgeable, friendly, and exuded pride in the store and the product. She absolutely made us want to come back. This past time, however, the guy at the register was on his iPhone 95% of the time. I know that January is probably a slower month for this kind of business, but come on. I don't enjoy paying for the pleasure of vying for the attention of a distracted smartphone user. I will still return to Lulu's if I'm in the neighborhood, because the yogurt is tasty, but I hope that they can reinvigorate some of the staff to get off of their devices! read more

Sorry, but the place is high-priced and, yes, the floors appear dirty. The topping bar is often in disarray and not stocked. Sweet frog is superior and cheaper.. a bad combo. Tried them today when I was next door getting a massage. What a perfect ending! I tried the orange creamsicle pairing with jelly beans. Super tasty! They had plenty of flavors options and toppings. It was a bustling Friday evening in downtown Hudson. Following a long hike around Hudson Springs Park nearby, my old time buddy and I wanted a nice treat. When we saw Lulu's, we couldn't pass up on some froyo. As we approached the door, we saw the lights were on, but there was nobody inside. Strange, we thought, but then we saw on the door that they were open till 9pm (meanwhile it was 8:15!). When we tried to open the door, we had no luck. I walked around back and tried the back door. It turns out it was unlocked and open for me to come on in. I peaked in to see 3 high school students playing on their phones. "We closed early" they said. What a disappointment to a promising froyo shop. Thankfully, Cold Stone is right across the street where you can get 10x better dessert for the same price. read more

They must be tipping the scale or something....I paid almost $14 for me and my wife. That's (2) frozen yogurts not even half-filled for $13.81. I asked the girl behind the counter and she said the cup/bowls were 16 ounces. Hmmm....not even half-filled and my topping was a couple of raspberries. Do the math and tell me how many ounces I had ?!? I went back by myself just recently and filled just the bottom of their cup/bowl (no toppings) and it was $3.95. I think the auditor's office needs to have a look see. BTW I've been to Blue Kiwi, Menches, Sweet Frog and Lemonberry. I love Blue Kiwi's California tart and overall prefer Menches. read more

I'm always happy ending my night at Lulus. Parking can be a bit of a pain, but that's downtown Hudson for ya. I feel it's cleaner than Menchis but I prefer the flavors and toppings at Menchis more than Lulus. They also frequently have dog treats as well but last night they were out so my dog went home disappointed. read more

So I'm giving lulus 2 because its really not great compared to every other frozen yogurt place i have ever been.. This includes sweet frogs (stow), froyo (l.a. Proper), pink berry (l.a. Proper), menchies (Cleveland) so on and so forth. Just sayin there can be too much competition sometimes yikes.. My advice, use less stevia or sorbitol it tastes fake/ too sweet to be natural for Frozen Yogurt read more

WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! I am a lover of frozen yogurt and love Menchies. I watched and watched for this place to be open and eagerly awaited it. I would replace my often visits to Menchies with Lulu's if Lulu's warranted it. I went online searching for lulus and received an email after I was online for a "New registration bonus" of 4 free ounces of yogurt( did not say on second visit) I went to LuLu's in Hudson during their grand opening and had only positive experience-A nice older lady by the toppings who commented when I said, "wow they have whipped cream here" (which most self serve frozen yogurt does not). She was very nice, but her comment was "whipped cream is good on ice cream." I was in a frozen yogurt place, not ice cream! Anyways, that was the best of the experience. The owners were very arrogant. They were surprised I chose not to download an application called paycloud to a smart phone to be able to use their loyalty program. Since I had not done that, they did not considered me registered even though I had this email. They gave me a card they said I could then get my free yogurt the NEXT visit, but would not do this visit. I had an email for myself and my husband individually (since we both go-not necessarily together either). They wanted him to have a separate card and ring him up separate to give him the free yogurt NEXT TIME, but their loyalty machine was not working to swipe his card. The right thing to do would have just given us one free 4 oz that day and I would probably not be writing this write now. To go on, I had a postcard I had received at work (work in Hudson) I had not expected to use, but then chose to since they would not honor the free 4 oz. The postcard was for $1.00 off your yogurt purchase and did not stipulate how much you had to get. I gave it to the clerk(who definitely seemed like one of the owners) to use for my husband's yogurt. His price was $2.93. I asked how much an ounce their yogurt was-they replied .47 (higher than most in our area). This plays into the next comment. They then went to use the coupon and said they couldn't because you had to buy at least 4 ounces of yogurt. I am a mathematician, but I don't think you have to be to do some quick, basic math to see he got over 6 ounces of yogurt. I pointed this out and she responded like she didn't believe me. At this point, I was not feeling happy to be there, so I said look at the price and do the math-it's obviously over 4 ounces. Finally, the other manager came over and did an adjustment so we would pay $1.00 off and in doing so acted like they were giving me the deed to their house. Not done yet! They advertise 18 flavors. WOW! I think... More than Menchies.. NOT, They call all their twists a flavor. Since when do you twist 2 flavors together and make that another flavor. EVERY place could do that and come up with more flavors! You can always twist flavors together. They have 12 flavors with the option of twisting. The machines were labeled with flavors (including made up twist flavors) but nothing else. This was the first thing I noticed when entering the store. What was non fat? What was low fat? Sugar free? I asked the manager right away when I walked in, which flavors are non fat? He pulled out the nutritional book and said there you go. Sooo I asked that I had to find a flavor and look our fat content and see what says 0 and find the flavor? You may want to label them like Menchies, Lemonberry and other do. his reply was we are family owned and not a franchise. OK, I thought family owned would be beter not worse!!! You can't put a lablel on a machine. Why? Are most flavors lowfat and not non fat? I could go on. But let's not! Just stay away and go to Menchies or try another of the many frozen yogurt places that want your business. read more

The brownies were in such big pieces that I didn't even want to fool with grabbing one. You know I have been going to LuLu's since it opened pretty much. Now my family comes from the east side. In the recent years Menchie's has taken over. I have to say Menchies is gross. Its never clean and has a really nasty after taste. Its like the Mcd's of yogurt. LuLu's is locally owned. The employee's are very nice. They remember you. Someone mentioned how instead of just saying that the middle lever is a twist of the two flavors they name them. Why not? I think thats a great idea. Sometimes its hard to imagine what two flavors together would taste like. You can't think of cake and strawberry together. Cassata cake. The floors are clean. I have never been in there when the floors are not clean. I think the same about Menchie's I have been in many Menchie's. Their floors are never clean ever. Also LuLu's has paycloud which is kind of like a loyalty club. Other places use it as well. Its like Belly. Menchie's does not have this. Menchie's is Kosher yes. But at what cost? If I wanted to be sick after eating yogurt I would chose Menchie's. If I wanted to feel satisfied I would choose LuLu's. read more

Loved it! Great variety of favors - including some fruitier yogurts. The toppings are on a separate island, which is nice because you don't have to awkwardly reach under the plastic hood like most places. Plenty of sample cups available to try whatever you want.
