Strickland's has been a great find. Prices are super reasonable, the staff has been really friendly both times we've gone, and the milkshakes are honestly awesome. My wife and I have been there twice now and it's already turning into a regular stop for us. I've been telling a few friends about it too.. definitely a spot we'll keep going back to. read more

Went to Stricklands last night for ice cream, ordered a kid cone and a small cone, you couldn't tell which was which, pretty much the same size. Even when the girl handed them to me she told me which was which!! I would of been better off getting to kids cones because my small cone was very very small...very disappointed read more

Another great experience. I had the banana bowl. This had vanilla ice cream, half a banana, whipped cream, and nuts. I also had the strawberry topping. The boys cream was delicious. The banana tasted fresh. My wife had the turtle sunday and loved it. My son had the trash can twister again and enjoyed every bite. Another great experience and would highly recommend. read more

I love this place. Nothing beats a local ice cream place. They let me add peanut butter sauce to my sundaes and twisters which is amazing! My favorites there are cookie dough twister with added peanut butter and sundae with marshmallow and peanut butter sauce. Mmmmm. Can't wait until spring! read more

Stricklands REAL high fat creamy ice-cream will leave you being satisfied every visit. Have come here since childhood and it hits the spot every time. The Vanilla will remind you of what real Ice-cream is supposed to taste like and you'll never go back to low quality money grabs. You wont break the bank either with cone prices that come in at 10 quarters for a regular sized cone. Workers are always friendly and make sure to get your orders out sometimes faster than you can put your cash back in your wallet. Large parking lot with overflow, limited seating but many people sit in their trunks/truck beds with their family. Its nice to watch the sunsets and enjoy your cone. read more

I was ordering ice cream from the cashier this evening, and after ordering two flavors in a bowl, she looks at me blankly and asks, "Do you want that in a cone?" After stating I would like a scoop of each flavor in a bowl, she then asks again what flavors? I repeated the 2 - orders, 2 flavors both in a bowl, then I add 2 more flavors a pint each. She then states the amount, and I ask for the military discount. I use tap and pay and she had to move the device to her window. After receiving the receipt I noticed the lower percentage for the discount. I asked, "Did the store lower the discount from 25% to 10%?" She said she forgot it was 25% and has someone come over to fix the issue while she was preparing the ice cream. The above didn't bother me so much as to what happened next: The person adjusting the price completed the refund and had the new amount for me to purchase. I stated I would need the refund receipt, and he said he would print that after this transaction. I said I was using tap and pay, and he would not move the machine. I had to ask someone at the other window to stand back 6 ft while I made the purchase. After coming back to my window, I made the following suggestion, "Placing a longer cord, or having another device here would make it easier for customers." He responded with, "No." I then asked no what? And he said it wasn't going to happen. At that point I said here, I don't need or want this now, refund it. He stated he wasn't going to refund it because he already processed a refund. I stated no, that was for the correction of your cashier, you need to refund the new transaction. I asked him his name, and he said, "I'm John, the owner, and I'm not going to refund it and I have the right to refuse service." I said fine, I will call the police because this is about customer service and you have horrible customer service. I simply gave a suggestion to help customers in the future. You could have done what you wanted with it and did not have to cause an issue. Customer service is about taking suggestions, compliments, and complaints from your customers. He did finally refund the second transaction, and after reminding him, that I needed both refund slips, he provided those as well. If John is the owner of this franchise, then he has plenty of learning on how to treat his customers, as well as, providing training to his employees. Good luck with your business, as I won't ever be here again. After recently moving here from California, I will not tolerate customer service from any company including smaller ones where they are just rude. Besides, there are plenty of other homemade ice cream shops in this area. I'm sure Corporate Stricklands would love to hear about this as well. read more

Great roadside find! On our way back to our campground from Cuyahoga Valley and stumbled across this cute walk up soft serve ice cream shop. The have a standard selection plus rotating flavors that sound fun. Our kids chose the "dirt sundae" from the kids menu, hubby got the cookie dough "twister" and I had a Pepsi float. Everyone loved what the got! Great flavor and consistency. So glad we stopped! read more

Great fresh ice cream and soft serve. They so some strange flavor of the day things. Some are pretty good and creative and others are, well...grape. Yes, grape ice cream. And no, not on your best day. But hay, who am I to judge. They do have lots of parking all around, they are open till 10:00 pm. They also have out door seating. Service is always really good. Bunch of kids having a good time, but making sure the customer is takin care of. read more

I have been going here with my family for years and have always had wonderful customer service and delicious ice cream. Although they do not offer much when it comes to flavors (only the classics for ice cream cones & maybe 10 flavors for flurries) they do have some really cute ice cream characters (ex: Spiderman & Frozen) for kids. They also have fair prices and a little pavilion you can sit under & enjoy your treat. The quality of product & the price you pay are well worth a visit to this cute little mom & pop ice cream stand. I just miss the giant brown face/head they used to have on their old sign. read more

Wow! We are visiting from out of town and searched for ice cream, this got good reviews so we tried it. The turtle sundae was to die for. Couldn't easy it all but it was the best sundae I have ever had. I make my own hot fudge but this was still something special. Great job Stricklands. read more

How did my husband live here for 8 years and I lived here for 2 years and not come to Stricklands? This place is amazing! I'm pretty sure our addiction to Stricklands will soon require an intervention. I'll admit I've only had chocolate in a waffle cone...but I've had it about two dozen times. The lines are rarely long and service is quick. It's so creamy and delicious. My husband tries other flavors and has always been happy. It is a far better choice than Dairy Queen across the street. read more
