This location was hopping in the midst of 95 degree weather. The staff were super friendly and hospitable; offering cups of water to those in line before the customers ordered. The assistant manager even came by the tables with umbrellas a couple times to ensure everyone was staying cool. The window workers were terrific. The one gentlemen enthusiastically shared highlights from the menu and offered suggestions. The peanut butter Oreo hot fudge parfait was ordered because I saw it earlier on the Skoops Facebooks reel and I was intrigued so we drove up from Canton. The ice cream did not disappoint and definitely will be returning again in the future. read more

Been wanting to come here for a bit. I've heard about this place and was excited to try. We kinda got this in place of lunch. But decided to get a hot dog just to say we got some lunch. Also got the turtle sundae and a nutty buddy parfait. Both were amazingly good. Turtle Sundae was sloppy but it was a 95 degree day. And the nutty buddy was peanut butter custard with chocolate peanut butter and nutty buddy's. Super good. The hot dog was mediocre at best. But that's not what you want when you go there you want ice cream! Service was fine. Parking is right in front. Prices are kinda high but worth it. Go to get innovative ice cream treats. Share them. Cuz that's what to do get your bang for the buck. This is a repeat for sure! read more

I definitely seem to be in the minority here but I honestly wasn't super impressed with this place. The line was crazy long and didn't move all that quickly. Service was friendly and the people around us in line were nice so that was a plus for sure. After waiting for a while in line and hearing such good things, maybe my expectations were just too high. My mom ordered a hot fudge and peanut butter sundae and I got a small peanut butter sundae with some butterfinger bits. I will say the peanut butter sauce was really good! However the custard itself was so thick it made it hard to eat and I thought the prices were a bit steep for what you get. Not a bad place but just not worth the hype, in my opinion. read more

There is no better ice cream joint in a 20 mile radius, than Skoops. They have a great product, the service is always friendly and the owners seem like they are stand up humans! One of my favorite things is the school lunch sundae! A Hollywood square on top of ice cream, and loaded with peanut butter sauce! read more

I am pretty sure this is the spot my grandfather used to take us when we were kids for Frozen custard. Or somewhere close to it. The lemon custard was divine. My son settled on a Spider-Man popsicle and he thoroughly enjoyed that too. I think the sundaes here look amazing. After dinner we were not super hungry, but next time I will definitely be trying one of those decadent concoctions. I also saw that they had Christmas in July last week and they served up some really interesting things for that too. Can't wait to come back again. read more

Yummy!!!!!! Delicious ice cream treats. Also being offered tonight was their caramel apple. The ice cream is very creamy and is good either plain or in a sundae. The portions are huge so come hungry! I ate a peanut butter sundae with whipped cream and nuts. Loved it! Excellent balance of ice cream to toppings. My family also enjoyed what they ordered too. The caramel apple was HUGE! Also excellent! The staff did a great job of keeping up with the customers. Very friendly and helpful too. read more

I had heard such good things about this place I thought I'd give it a try despite a 20 minute drive and by-passing other ice cream places close to us. Skoops lives up to the hype for sure. We have tried a few of their ice cream flavors and they have all been very good. Their sundaes are large and "crazy" with waffle cone chips and other topping that help make them unique. They also have hot food as well. Lines can be long, both of the times I went, I think I probably waited in line at least 10-15 minutes. Staff was super friendly both times despite being clearly busy and trying to get items out fast. Highly recommend this place!! read more

Always a wait bc people flock here. I get the urge to stop when I see an interesting limited time option on Facebook. We stopped here while passing through town. The banana pudding sundae I was hoping to try was already gone so I chose to go with the blackberry shortcake sundae that sounded good and bc I sometimes, well often, have trouble deciding I also got a shake and so did my husband. His was strawberry and mine was fresh banana with butterscotch. If you've never heard of or tried this you must! It has to be fresh banana though. The syrup is just not the same. Service as always was friendly and fairly quick once we placed our order. We sat out at a picnic table under an umbrella. It's great they have these for sunny hot days. We left with smiles on our faces and full bellies. There should be something for everyone here so I say stop by if you're in the area. read more

We try to come here every summer once or twice even though this place is 35 minutes from our home. They have so many unique selections that rotate throughout their season. My favorite place , the owner cares for his employees. The icecream is SOOO GOOD . My husband and I enjoy going here

Ali and Heidi were phenomenal tonight. they went above and beyond with my order tonight. taking great care making sure my nachos don't spill over in the container. that may seem like a small thing but let me tell you, nothing worse than coney sauce and cheese leaking over the side of the container. I left with the biggest smile. everyone there is amazing, but these two ladies really outdid themselves! read more

This is a very cute ice cream stand that is clearly a local favorite. Not only do they have a wide variety of offerings, but they also have fun seasonal treats too! I was lucky enough to get the pumpkin roll sundae. It was so big! I'd say it's just enough for 2 people. The sundae was generously filled with ice cream and caramel. I also added peanuts to mine which added an amazing crunchy texture to each bite. I can't wait to come back during different seasons to see what other amazing tricks they have up their sleeves. Some examples of their innovations include- pumpkin roll ice cream sandwich, oatmeal cream pie ice cream, and funnel cake banana split. read more

Sooo cute!! The atmosphere is giving 60s and 70s vibes. My one friend got a chocolate milkshake and my other friend got a grandpa Tom both were really good. I got vanilla ice cream with cotton candy sprinkles. I'm not a fan of mine. The sprinkles taste a little stale, but other than that, I would definitely recommend this place. Just don't get the sprinkles. read more

Drove 30 minutes to Skoops in Barberton. The kids had it on their summer bucket list, so we decided this was the perfect weekend to cross it off. The line was long and had to park in the overflow parking below. Not a big deal for us and was a 2 minute walk up a slight hill. We ordered and shared the cherry Dole Whip, the Cheerwine float, and a strawberry shortcake which was topped with their vanilla custard. Everything was great. Custard is really creamy! The serve everything with a color changing spoon and/or straw. Added bonus according to my kids. Definitely will be back! read more

I went vegan a couple years ago and honestly I had quit eating ice cream years before that. I have very little sweet tooth and don't go out of my way for dessert. However! My parents are not that way so being that my parents are awesome, my dad found out this place had vegan ice cream, what whaaaat! So we went, and we've been back a few times, and we enjoy it every time. They love the definitely dairy ice cream they get, too. It also has a fun vibe, with 50s/60s music playing on speakers, and the workers are always friendly and fast with getting you your cone (or cup) of choice. It's not the cheapest place in town, but for the lovable vegan in your life, it's the only place to go! read more

Hands-down one of the BEST ice cream spots in Northeast Ohio! I cannot praise this place enough-- all of their ice cream is delicious and made entirely in house, their sundaes are incredible, and their staff never fails to provide the best customer service available. Skoops is a local treasure-- their parking lot is almost always packed and I have genuinely never seen an unhappy customer. I pass 5-6 ice cream places on my drive to Skoops. Nothing can prepare you for the many delights they offer. Whether I'm in the mood for custard, ice cream sandwiches, chili dogs, shakes, you get the point. The menu has something for anyone. I especially love the creative ice cream delights that are rolled out throughout the season. When they have Ube, run, don't walk. Hands down one of the elites in the ice cream world. read more

I give this place 5 stars for food service and how many Options. I would lower to a 4 due to the line is not well thought out, and handicap parking is not done well, and people are just allllll over the place. Besides that we go as much as we can when we are out that way to run errands because of the distance! But I went out for Cheerwine especially and for strawberry dole whip!!! read more
