Ice cream is great. Prices are reasonable. The wait is atrocious. Servicing six cars in the Drive-Thru in 45 minutes is crazy.

Waited 45 min for a bad chocolate milkshake with mysterious chunks :( Friendly service though read more

BEST ICE CREAM I'VE EVER HAD! I've tried almost half of the flavors, and haven't had a dud yet. Pistachio is my favorite - it's mind blowing delicious! Every option tastes so pure and flavorful, you can tell this ice cream is not made with artificial flavoring. My whole family is addicted. We stop weekly for a dish/cone and always get a few pints to take home. It keeps perfectly in the freezer at home and even maintains its smooth, creamy texture. All other ice cream pales in comparison. read more

Katie's Korner Ice Cream - Menu - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Kent, Ohio

Very good customer service. Delicious ice cream. Fast service. The workers here were very nice and fast with the order

Amazing homemade ice cream in Kent! Generous portions! They don't skimp on toppings!!!!! Yummmy!!!!!! Worth the drive! Creamy ice cream. I recommend the hand dipped hard ice cream because the toppings hold up so well. Friendly staff and outdoor seating too. If you get the hard ice cream, eat quickly....melts fast on a warm day. read more

Went here for the first time about a month ago. I gotta say the hand made waffle cones are the best bang for your buck. The mouth of the cone is massive, bigger then any other waffle cone I have ever seen. They fill it up, then start counting the scoops! So one scoop is really about four. I got the brownie sundae which was smaller then I had hoped it would be but, the flavors were good and ratio was good. Right across the street is a Dairy Queen but this place is the spot to f you are in Kent. read more

Post your hours correctly it's not that difficult I have people from out of town I showed up there at 9:15 do you have all the windows Closed in the open light off and your hours are posted till 10 PM I know and this time is difficult to get help but you can at least update your hours on the Internet so I don't make a needless trip and make me look like an idiot in front of my friends I can do that without you Do you have the best ice cream in the area Empower someone to post the hours correctly on the Internet read more

We went to this ice cream shop tonight. My chocolate ice cream was filled with ice crystals. My husband ordered a large hot fudge sundae. His ice cream was one very small scoop, a little chocolate sauce, and a lot of whip cream not acceptable. This is the second time we've been there that we have been disappointed ever again. read more

Always a nice treat. Their coconut ice cream is the best and the waffle cones are on point.

Ice cream is good 99% of the time. Do not order the hot apple dumpling. I've tried it twice. Both times it was raw dough and swimming in a cinnamon juice. Yuck read more

Katies ice cream rocks. Stopped by on a warm February afternoon and I have to say that This is some of the best ice cream in BE Ohio. The setup is simple, a small free standing building that used to be the DQ many years ago before it moved across the street. A bit funky, but just fine for a place to get ice cream. The menu board has a long list of flavors, since it is February, a number of them are not available. I did get to try the Caramel Cashew and the Belgium Dark Chocolate; both were excellent. The ice cream is rich and thick with almost no added air so the ice cream started hard, but softened nicely as it warmed. The Carmel Cashew starts with a nice smooth vanilla base and then adds lots of caramel and a fistful of cashews; not too sweet, with the nuts giving some crunch, this is really good. The Belgium dark chocolate is about as chocolaty as can be made, just the right amount of sweet and a nice contrasting touch of bitterness. Dark, smooth and rich this may be the best dark chocolate ice cream I have had. This may be the best home made ice cream in the area, really well balanced and well made. I can only imagine how good this will be on a really hot day during the summer. read more

I love the ice cream here but this seasons ice cream that I have order Black Raspberry Truffle I have not gotten a single truffle in my ice cream yet. But I don't really want to switch my usual so I hope that can be fixed. read more

Had great service from young lady named Emma last week. Super friendly and very helpful. We will be back again

I have been coming here once a year for years and each year is just as great as the last. With the exception of seasonal flavors, they usually have everything else in stock. Cup, cone, or waffle cone. Lots of outdoor seating and a drive thru! Close to KSU and the movie theaters. read more

Katie's Korner is a small, outdoor mom & pop style ice cream shop. They make all of their own ice cream flavors and offer lots of great seasonal options. Their outdoor seating area is nice and relaxing. I love sitting there watching the sunset with my ice cream in the summer =) This is definitely my favorite ice cream place in Kent! read more

Waffle cones, milkshakes, malts, floats, sundaes, banana splits, and about 75 flavors of ice cream! Picnic tables, drive-thru service, open year-round. read more

Katie's Corner has lots of flavors to choose from, and they always have all of them available (except seasonal flavors, of course). So if there's a certain flavor you love, you know it'll always ben there, unlike the ice cream shoppes that rotate flavors. However, Katie's leaves something to be desired; they're missing the wow factor. All of the flavors I have tried are quite good, but they're not special and very few are unique. Still, it's a solid option if you need a good ice cream kick and you're in the area. Personally, I find Arctic Squirrel over in Acorn Alley to have better-executed, more unique choices. read more

I hate to be the bear of bad news but I just couldn't stay quiet on this one! I ordered a scoop of cookie dough ice cream and I kid you not, there was only a single (yes- one, uno, solely alone), piece of cookie dough in it. You could imagine my disappointment as everyone knows the best part of cookie dough ice cream is finding a piece of dough in every bite. I understand it could of been a mishap with the scooping technique, so I think I'll give this establishment another chance one day in the future as i see it has received many positive reviews! I just beg your soul Katie's Korner, please do not leave me with this cookie dough ice cream turned completely vanilla ever again. read more

Over all the ice cream is good but not the best I've had in the area. My kids all three loved their Superman ice cream, the strawberry cheesecake was also very good but the cake batter left a lot to be desired, my husband ended up scooping it out and throwing away to just eat his cone. Service was also on the slower side, and drive through was helped before walk up which can be slightly annoying. read more

Great icecream! Belgium dark chocolate and mousse was the two flavors I asked for and both were delicious.

Huge list of flavors-- pretty great considering these are all home made. We had the dark chocolate peanut butter, the blue raspberry cheesecake and the mouse truffle. Especially liked the first two-- excellent flavors and nice texture. Can't wait to go back and try some of the others! read more

Haha I can't believe no one has reviewed this place yet. It's the best ice cream in the area. They have unique flavors and the make their own waffle cones. That is the key to a good ice cream cone, and theirs are the best. It's a walk up window in a movie theatre parking lot. There are some picnic tables to sit and enjoy your homemade waffle cone. Katie's Corner makes summer complete! read more

It is hard to screw up Ice Cream. The nice thing about Katie's is that it is pretty close to campus and close to a movie theater.

I know some people are biased one way or the other for ice cream and custard around the area. I am biased as well. For Katie's Korner. Best ice cream (to me at least) in the entire area. Generous portions and good prices. Pretty large selection as well. Nice place to stop after the movie, or just because. Nice to sit at the benches out front and watch the traffic (I know that sounds weird, but I enjoy it). read more

I don't know if there is any bad thing I can say about Katie's. There have been many evening runs for their ice cream, especially when I was pregnant. I have yet to encounter a flavor I did not like. Their Pumpkin and German Chocolate Cake ice creams are divine. Their prices are reasonable as you get quite a lot for your money. read more

We have found out new favorite ice cream stand! It is arguably better than Handle's and the service is really efficient! They have great hot fudge and peanut butter sauce which is divine in combo on a sundae! Many interesting and delicious flavors! read more

I have been coming to Katie's corner for months now and your ice cream has made some rough days way better. For example I wasn't feeling so well a few nights ago and all I wanted was some Katie's corner homemade ice cream. So I showed up literally 3 minutes before closing (I didn't realize you were closing then though until I saw them putting down shade etc.) Anyways the couple of employees there helped me out and were wonderful. Every time I come (even through the drive through) I get great service and amazing ice cream. I will continue to be a loyal customer and I dread the day I ever leave kent because I would have to find a way to survive without Katie's corner ice cream. read more

SCRUMPTIOUS ICE CREAM!! I have lived in this area all of my life, but just recently discovered Katie's Korner Ice Cream. It was absolutely delicious! My two friends agreed and it was so good, I went back a couple of days later with my husband and mom! :) The girls serving the ice cream could not have been any friendlier and upbeat and efficient. The scoops were HUGE and the price was reasonable. I thought it was cool that they have a drive-thru, too, although we sat outside on the benches near the picnic tables. I had Praline Pecan...a VERY tasty treat for sure! read more

Definitely my favorite ice cream shop in Kent. The service is better than Handel's and Katie's has the best Coconut Cream Pie ice cream.

sat in line for about 30 minutes.... started to wonder if they were scooping their ice cream with their toes because it was taking so long. hopefully this ice cream is worth it.. will get back to you read more

Katie's is the best! So much better than just going to DQ. I always get cookie dough because I'm basic, but the other flavors that I've tried are good as well! read more

I was visiting this area while on vacation and stumbled upon this little gem. The ice cream selections were great and the ice cream was fresh and delicious. I tried the black walnut and the butter pecan and sampled some of the options that my family ordered. Yes, we made additional trips as it was right down the street from our hotel. Everything was very good and I highly recommend making this little place a "must stop" destination on your journey. read more

Asked for a quart of chocolate almond, I got chocolate with only ONE almond and some berry stuff was mixed with it. Absolutely awful. $6 for poor quality service. Probably should wipe off the spoon between customers so someone with an allergy doesn't get served their last dessert. My visit was Monday, April 18th, 2016 between 3:45pm and 4pm. read more

Sooo delicious! My boyfriend and I go here when we're craving ice cream. My personal favorite is the dark chocolate peanut butter but honestly never tried a flavor I didn't like! Kind workers, too! Always smiling. read more

With more than 66 flavors to choose from it is hard not to find a good flavor at Katie's Korner Ice Cream in Kent. All the flavors sounded delicious: black raspberry cheesecake, carmel cashew, dark chocolate peanut butter, German chocolate cake, butter pecan and salty dog. One flavor stood out to me: mocha chunk. Mocha flavored ice cream and tons of chocolate chunks is perfect for a coffee addict. Not only is the ice cream homemade, but so are the waffle cones. The waffle cones aren't store-bought or stale, but made daily right in the little shop. Served with smiles by polite employees, the workers help you with any of your needs. Have a question about the flavor; they can give you a detailed description of every flavor. Want something a little extra with your ice cream? The servers can meet any need. Along with the amazing ice cream and great service, the price is reasonable with the amount of ice cream in each scoop. Rather than paying per ounce it is a set price for a generous amount. I will definitely be coming back to Katie's Korner throughout the summer and possibly in the winter when I need to be reminded of what summer is. read more

Northeast Ohio is blessed with an abundance of great ice cream shops, including old fashioned frozen custard shops that make a product with a heart- stopping high percentage of milk fat. Competition is fierce. KK is part of the bunch and family owned, locally made, high quality hard ice cream in 30 or so favors to please anyone. They also make fruit flavored sherbets and ices- usually 3 or 4. What sets KK apart is the quality, the large servings, off-season hours and reasonable prices. Many delicious flavors incl French Silk, coffee chip and cinnamon and some of the special seasonal flavors are outstanding. I always try pumpkin when it's featured in the fall and no other place ( including special store brands) come close to KK's pumpkin: rich, creamy, perfectly spiced, " pumpkinny" pumpkin that looks like pumpkin, not neon. Absolutely incredible. Katie's Korner pumpkin is the very definition of late fall. Delicious. read more

I have loved Katie's Korner since I was a student at Kent over 15 years ago! I visited this past weekend during a trip to Kent and it is still the same delightful ice cream stand all these years later. I highly recommend the chocolate marshmallow and dark chocolate peanut butter flavors. You will not be disappointed with their ice cream or selection! read more
