I have been coming here for almost 40 years - very glad they take card now. I think in the last 10 years they have changed their vanilla soft serve recipe - there's a little something strange about the texture. Too airy or something. The kids liked their ice cream though. Love this adorable little family-owned ice cream stand. My husband says their soft serve is the best he's ever had. This place is definitely a 60's throwback & is so charming! Plenty of outdoor seating, tons of menu items, & very friendly staff. Cool little custard place. Be aware they accept just cash or check- no cards! That's a big minus but what can you do lol I ordered swirl of vanilla and chocolate and asked to have a kids size. I was satisfied with my choice- it was delicious. However, another minus was for little variety of flavors. The place seemed being clean and had place to sit. The young man at the counter was wonderful. The soft serve was not good. I ate about 1/3 of my turtle sundae before throwing it away. One of my daughters said the soft serve tasted like marshmallows and ate it all. My other daughter threw hers away. Very strange soft serve. read more

Great customer service and good quality custard, I personally really like the vanilla custard and the frozen yogurts made with real fruit. Get to know the owner (Ms. B as she likes to go by) and you will be treated with homely conversation and a warm smile. Aside from that, really the only downside is they only take cash so be forewarned, although there is an atm at the neighboring gas station if you walk up empty handed so its really no big deal. read more

what a total disappointment! my family loves local ice cream stands and this one I call "the ice cream nazi". much like the soup nazi from Seinfeld this place is filled with rules over rules. I have a 4 and 7 year old and what bothered me most was that they don't advertise a kids size cone. I ordered a single scoop strawberry and when I got it I asked them to lop half of it off. simply because a 7 year old doesn't need that much. that and it was like $2.75 for a scoop. for my 4 year old I asked if there was a kids size. she said yes but ONLY for vanilla or chocolate. none of the 2 dozen flavored are offered in a kid size. it's SOFT SERVE ice cream. this isn't cold stone! to not offer favors in smaller sizes is mind boggling. next I ordered a banana strawberry smoothy. it was quite large but topped with a crap load of whipped cream. I didn't know it would be and I personally don't like whipped cream so I had to throw all that in the garbage. there's a huge sign on the side of the building. kids not allowed to stand on benches. no outside food allowed at the establishment. along with 3 or 4 other rules. it's an ice cream stand! people come for smiles and enjoyment and ideally come back. I will not be one of them. there are no napkin dispensers available. u must ask behind the window and my kids went thru at least 10 pieces of paper towel. to top it off there is a RESERVED parking spot at the front for the owner. REALLY? is the owners parking really more important than a patron? there are plenty of other and way better choices than this one. I suggest you avoid Fantasy Delight. read more

Getting snotty with two customers is not delightful. Anyone thinking on stopping I'd go to the local dq or somewhere else. Frozen custard is a cold dessert similar to ice cream, made with eggs in addition to cream and sugar. In the United States the Food and Drug Administration requires products marketed as frozen custard to contain at least 10 percent milkfat and 1.4 percent egg yolk solids. If it has less egg yolk solids, it is considered ice cream.[1] In the United Kingdom frozen They DO NOT use eggs therefore it is NOT custard. Locally owned businesses do have a sweet spot with me. This one reminds me of the many similar locations that dotted the landscape before the chains took over. Service has always been efficient and friendly. This is useful if you come when a youth baseball team checks in after a game. Wide variety of items that satisfy multiple tastes. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. It has a great location as it is located right in the center of Aurora and easily accessible. Additionally the service is friendly as the owner prefers to hire top quality employees (but don't get snotty because that's just rude, being respectful and kind will carry you a long way and you will earn brownie points with the owner). Their prices may be a little on the high side, but given the friendly service and quality of the products its completely forgivable. It's not McDonalds, they'd go out of business if they charged less. The food smelled and had clearly expired. When I explained this to the woman at the counter, she dismissed me. Then I told her that two other people smelled my soft serve ice cream and agreed with me. She got rude and stated that it was fine. That's not what you would expect from a restaurant. This place is horrible I ordered a peanut butter cup ice cream bowl, and the lady hand me a bowl with just a glob of peanut butter on it. I said "this is suppose to be peanut butter cup," and she rudely said that's what it is. I looked at my boyfriend like dumb founded and said I didn't want it to just take it off the bill. The women was so rude she slammed my boyfriends butter scotch drink on the counter and said 6.99. Which didn't even taste like butterscotch it tasted like water down vanilla.
