The menu is various flavors of Italian Ice, Frozen Custard and related sweets. I ordered a small Gelati which layers Italian Ice and Frozen Custard in a cup, my flavor choices were chocolate custard and chocolate covered strawberry ice. When the cup came out I was impressed with the portion size, with the custard on the top and bottom and the ice in the middle. The Chocolate Custard was smooth and creamy with good chocolate flavor; the Chocolate Covered Strawberry was a creamy strawberry ice with little chocolate pieces scattered throughout. Together this made a really nice flavor combination and a great afternoon treat. The Streetsboro Rita's Italian Ice is a nice location, the shop is clean and efficient, the service was good, prices are reasonable and the Italian Ice and Frozen Custard were good with a lot of flavor choices. I then politely tried to return the incorrect item, saying, "I'm sorry, I don't want this one." The employee "Patricia" abruptly snatched the ice cream from my hand and threw it on the ground in front of several other customers. She was obviously angry. I was surprised and taken aback by how the situation was handled. Mistakes happen, and I understand that misunderstandings can occur, but I don't feel that this response was appropriate or respectful. I did not know once a customer is given an ice cream sandwich it cannot be used for another customer. I wanted to bring this to your attention in hopes that future customers have a more positive experience. This event happened on 7/2 at a club event in Northeast Ohio. I will keep that club anonymous because I don't feel like the poor decisions and behavior of the ice cream truck staff reflect how the club staff behave or act ever.

I ended up getting the Mississippi mud pie sundae because I was taking too long and know nothing can go wrong with that. They gave me a large portion of whipped cream - the most I've seen in my life, and there was a good amount of chocolate syrup. I noticed all the sundaes and hurricanes in my group had vanilla, but I wonder if I could have had a different flavor instead of vanilla, which isn't clear on the menu without asking. I also got to taste a peanut butter shake, which was a nice consistency. I'd probably have to get a shake next time because those have the flavors I like the most and are the most simple to figure out straight from the list.

They are so nice and I have lived here for 8 years and I have always gone there and let me say they are the nicest people and have so many different varieties of ice cream to fit what you want. My LTR received an "old vanilla" ice cream sundae, with strawberry and chocolate syrup-all topped with fresh whipped cream and a cherry on top. Our pup loved his generously sized pup cup (the girls behind the counter placed it in a clear cup with a lid so I could get it home neatly. Staff apologized for limited ingredients as they are packing to relocate to a new location in Highland Heights. I will definitely find out where that is and return! All came to $20 with a 20% tip as the service was very good. Generous portions and quick, efficient, and friendly service. I highly recommend treating yourself and loved ones to a treat at this local small business that's been around for 50 years!
