What's not to love! I was greeted immediately by a jovial young man. I was given time to decide what I wanted and even given suggestions. The place is so colorful and whimsical. The wall art made me smile. They have ice cream, cupcakes, cheesecake, chocolates, truffles, plushies, games and toys for sale. I chose a regular size cup with half Moms Apple Pie and Half Sloans White. It was so good. I took a oreo cheesecake slice home and had it the next day. It was amazing and I didnt have to share. No peanut signage....my 18 y/0 daughter that has a peanut allergy order the scrumptious pretzel ice cream.. she is smart enough to avoid any thing that says reese,butterfinger peanut butter. Etc...mid way through eating her ice cream she was like dad this taste weird... Driving home her throat started to itch and started to get hives and hard time breathing..we gave her meds and a breathing machine. Thank god it wasn't worst where she needed her EpiPen or emergency room... She googled the menu on line afterwards and the pretzel ice cream says it has peanut butter ribbons... No where in the store did the menu say anything about the pretzel ice cream having peanut butter.. Maybe add the word with peanut butter... Sloan's Ice Cream is a great addition to the Macedonia Commons shopping area. They offer all kinds of sweet treats beyond ice cream, including cookies, brownies, cakes, and fudge. Their sundaes are HUGE and priced accordingly. They offer lots of interesting flavors of ice cream and give free samples of the ice cream and fudge. The inside is a child's dream, full of cute toys and treats. The shop is a bit on the proceed side. Basic cones are reasonably priced but sundaes range around $10-20 with a huge one priced at almost $100! Their gifts are also on the expensive side. We bought a small stuffed animal for our son and it cost $28. So one trip for us cost us $40. Next time, we'll stick to basic ice cream. read more

I am so happy to see a Sloan's in Ohio! The only other one that I have been to is in Florida. I stopped in to get some ice cream and to dillydally and browse the silly little novelty gifts that they sell and I absolutely love the decor/vibe of this place. It is so fun and whimsical and obviously their chocolates and ice cream are amazing. I ordered a scoop of the banana, which was the bomb.com and it natural banana flavor, which I prefer, and the pistachio was off the chain as well. Definitely stop by for a sweet treat or a moment of whimsy. When I spoke to the owner at the checkout, he said that it's for the "young and young at heart" which I'm all about. read more

There are also some nostalgic toys. Service was friendly and attentive. Now the ice cream was very good. They has some 35 plus offerings including vegan choices. I was just passing through town and noticed this place, and had to give it a try since it has luxury in the name. They have all manners of sweets, treats, gifts, and ice cream! Sign says they close at 11:00. My boyfriend and I walk in at 10:20 for some ice cream. We saw three people working, all in the back. They all came out to tell us that they were closed. If you're closing early, AT LEAST lock the door. Another unfortunate gentleman walked in after us and was also turned away. The ice cream starts out at $5.75 for a scoop, then drops because each extra scoop is $1. The employee serving ice cream was very generous with the helpings.
