We had been wanting to try Sloan's Ice Cream in Macedonia for quite a while, and it definitely lived up to the hype! The moment we walked in, my teenage son looked around and said, "It looks like Candy Crush exploded in here!" Honestly, that was the perfect description. The décor is bright, colorful, and fun everywhere you look, pure happiness from the walls and ceiling to the whimsical chandeliers. The whole place feels vibrant, cheerful, and incredibly welcoming. It's the kind of spot that makes you want to stay awhile. One thing that really stood out was the large seating area, which would be perfect for birthday parties or group gatherings. There was so much to look at, and the atmosphere alone made the visit worthwhile. The selection was impressive. In addition to countless ice cream flavors, they offer specialty sundaes, waffles, sweet treats, and even a little shop area with candy and toys. We sampled a few flavors before deciding on Cookie Dough Cookie, Chocolate Oreo Cookie and a Coffee Bean, and all three were delicious. The only downside is that some of the larger specialty sundaes are a bit pricey, but the quality, portions, and overall experience help justify the cost. If you're looking for a fun, unique ice cream destination that's as much about the experience as the dessert, Sloan's is definitely worth a visit. We'll be back! read more

What's not to love! I was greeted immediately by a jovial young man. I was given time to decide what I wanted and even given suggestions. The place is so colorful and whimsical. The wall art made me smile. They have ice cream, cupcakes, cheesecake, chocolates, truffles, plushies, games and toys for sale. I chose a regular size cup with half Moms Apple Pie and Half Sloans White. It was so good. I took a oreo cheesecake slice home and had it the next day. It was amazing and I didnt have to share. If you are ever in Macedonia Commons, do yourself a favor and go inside. Taste a couple ice cream flavors and make your decision. You wont be disappointed read more

No peanut signage....my 18 y/0 daughter that has a peanut allergy order the scrumptious pretzel ice cream.. she is smart enough to avoid any thing that says reese, butterfinger peanut butter. Etc...mid way through eating her ice cream she was like dad this taste weird... Driving home her throat started to itch and started to get hives and hard time breathing..we gave her meds and a breathing machine. Thank god it wasn't worst where she needed her EpiPen or emergency room... She googled the menu on line afterwards and the pretzel ice cream says it has peanut butter ribbons... No where in the store did the menu say anything about the pretzel ice cream having peanut butter.. Maybe add the word with peanut butter... This simple addition to the sign could save someone's life. read more

Sloan's Ice Cream is a great addition to the Macedonia Commons shopping area. They offer all kinds of sweet treats beyond ice cream, including cookies, brownies, cakes, and fudge. Their sundaes are HUGE and priced accordingly. They offer lots of interesting flavors of ice cream and give free samples of the ice cream and fudge. The inside is a child's dream, full of cute toys and treats. The shop is a bit on the proceed side. Basic cones are reasonably priced but sundaes range around $10-20 with a huge one priced at almost $100! Their gifts are also on the expensive side. We bought a small stuffed animal for our son and it cost $28. So one trip for us cost us $40. Next time, we'll stick to basic ice cream. read more

I am so happy to see a Sloan's in Ohio! The only other one that I have been to is in Florida. I stopped in to get some ice cream and to dillydally and browse the silly little novelty gifts that they sell and I absolutely love the decor/vibe of this place. It is so fun and whimsical and obviously their chocolates and ice cream are amazing. I ordered a scoop of the banana, which was the bomb.com and it natural banana flavor, which I prefer, and the pistachio was off the chain as well. Definitely stop by for a sweet treat or a moment of whimsy. When I spoke to the owner at the checkout, he said that it's for the "young and young at heart" which I'm all about. read more

Bright colorful whimsical decor, great for little one's birthday parties. This is much more than an ice cream shop. There are candies, confections ,cookies and pastries as well. There are also some nostalgic toys. Service was friendly and attentive. Now the ice cream was very good. They has some 35 plus offerings including vegan choices. I had the apple pie and rum raisins, both of which were tasty. I shall return when in the area. read more

I was just passing through town and noticed this place, and had to give it a try since it has luxury in the name. They have all manners of sweets, treats, gifts, and ice cream! Extremely colorful decor. Very young staff, a little inexperienced, but friendly. It's not on the menu, but they will make a malt for the same price as a shake. It was delicious. read more

Delicious ice cream! Good service. Samples are given when requested. I like that this place has a wide selection of ice cream flavors and toppings, bakery goods, and candy (self serve/by the pound). They also sell a small variety of toys/fidgets. On the pricier end of ice cream, but really not outrageous. I will go back. read more

My five is based on the quality of the ice cream and the variety. I had a Sundae with a scoop of coconut, banana, and almond joy ice creams. I chose hot fudge, hot caramel, walnuts, and whipped cream. It was delicious and decadent. It was $9.50 and we'll worth it. read more

Sign says they close at 11:00. My boyfriend and I walk in at 10:20 for some ice cream. We saw three people working, all in the back. They all came out to tell us that they were closed. If you're closing early, AT LEAST lock the door. Another unfortunate gentleman walked in after us and was also turned away. (Also before 11:00) This was very sad as we traveled quite a ways to try some of this neat looking ice cream. read more

Very good ice cream. Rich flavors and wide variety. Not cheap but the serving size and quality are worth it.

I didn't like their ice-cream. Give it a try but not for me. K didn't like the after taste.

Lots of choices, and some great ice cream. But how can anyone afford these prices??? Pretty much a one-time visit for me.....

Sloan's Ice Cream - I tried their vegan icecream and it was really good! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Macedonia, Ohio

Very good ice cream, it is luxury. not some cheap drug store quality. Also a candy and toy store. Very clean, large space inside.

The ice cream at Sloan's is good, all the flavors we had were great. However, the milkshake was too small for what I paid for it. The ice cream starts out at $5.75 for a scoop, then drops because each extra scoop is $1. The employee serving ice cream was very generous with the helpings. All the employees welcomed me when I entered the door. The all pink interior adds a element of fun to the restaurant which is large and feels very lively during and after the dinner hour read more

Super cute place! They have a variety of chocolates, fudge, cakes, and other goodies aside from the ice cream. I got the vanilla Nutella ice cream. $5.75 for a "kiddie" scoop is a little steep. If you go with a family be prepared to spend a lot of money. read more
