The moment we walked in, my teenage son looked around and said, "It looks like Candy Crush exploded in here!" Honestly, that was the perfect description. The décor is bright, colorful, and fun everywhere you look, pure happiness from the walls and ceiling to the whimsical chandeliers. The whole place feels vibrant, cheerful, and incredibly welcoming. It's the kind of spot that makes you want to stay awhile. One thing that really stood out was the large seating area, which would be perfect for birthday parties or group gatherings. There was so much to look at, and the atmosphere alone made the visit worthwhile. The selection was impressive. In addition to countless ice cream flavors, they offer specialty sundaes, waffles, sweet treats, and even a little shop area with candy and toys. We sampled a few flavors before deciding on Cookie Dough Cookie, Chocolate Oreo Cookie and a Coffee Bean, and all three were delicious. The only downside is that some of the larger specialty sundaes are a bit pricey, but the quality, portions, and overall experience help justify the cost. If you're looking for a fun, unique ice cream destination that's as much about the experience as the dessert, Sloan's is definitely worth a visit. We'll be back!

They are constantly adding new variations and seasonal offerings, and every one is delicious in its own way. Tonight I tried the midnight madness on a waffle cone: dark chocolate, peanut butter, and Oreo. WOW! This chocolate was sooo rich, almost too overpowering, even for a chocolate lover like me. I absolutely loved the crunchy additions of the Oreo pieces and peanut butter chips; overall it was a really unique and tasty dessert. I couldn't believe the prices at this Handel's location! We got 2 cones absolutely loaded with ice cream (I recommend asking for a cup and spoon to put your ice cream in to avoid spilling it!) for less than $10. Way cheaper than the Handel's by my house! Stepping in a lady asked if I needed help and when I told her I had never been there she gave me a tour of the various sections. I didn't pay attention that closely to the prices, except to check out how much the foreign candy was, so I can't say much for how much bulk candy would be. I will say that the foreign candy is expensive. If you can get to any of the European stores or Asian stores in the Cleveland area - it will definitely be cheaper BUT they may not have everything this place has. After exploring the store a bit I decided to get 3 truffles to really try this place out. I got one strawberry balsamic truffle, one lemon truffle and one passion fruit caramel truffle. Each one was $2.80 which is decent I'd say for truffles. The strawberry was average, the lemon was good - very lemon-y without tasting artificial and the passion fruit one was also average. Overall I'm glad I tried this place out. I think it adds a nice variety of sweet options to the area. I think that if you want straight up chocolate, See's (also in Beachwood mall) may be a better option. But if you don't want chocolate then definitely come here to try this place out.
