Charming little diner! Our server was Laura. She did a fantastic job taking care of us! She was very communicative and took our orders in a timely fashion even with a fully packed restaurant. We stopped by on a Friday morning for breakfast. We ordered French toast and two of the turbo charged with pancakes and hash browns. The standout part of the food was the raspberry syrup which you can pour on top of French toast or pancakes! But really it was all very good food. The maple syrup came out in a warm glass bottle. There's actually lots of opportunity to customize your dish too. I was asked if I wanted cheese on my eggs. What kind of cheese. Bacon crispy or regular. Pancakes can come with fruit or other toppings. The pancakes were deliciously fluffy. The meals were very filling! For three people it came out to about $45 after tax and tip. If we are in the area again we will be coming back to Hot Grillz. read more

The location has been multiple names over the years I have lived in the area, but I finally decided to try it out as Hot Grillz some time back. Many friends told me that I would not be disappointed and every single one of them was correct. There is a nice collection of bar seating, hot tops, and booths, so somewhere to sit for everyone. I have only been in for breakfast, but I image that lunch is just as good. Solid prices, and much to eat to fill you up. Everything that came out around us looked like I wanted to take it away and eat even more. Family friendly, delicious and great service pretty much sums up my first time at Hot Grillz. After a morning run in the metro parks we stumbled upon Hot Grillz. Seated instantly, we chose the bar area. Service was quickly, friendly and our server gave us plenty of suggestions. My husband and I were starved so it was perfect, huge pancakes, eggs to order and truly the perfectly cooked potatoes, no shredded dried out hash browns are being served here. We stopped here as we were driving through, it sounded great, had a fantastic yelp reviews. I got the little pig, which is a BLT with six slices of bacon. It was pretty good. My wife got a chicken Parm sandwich that was also pretty good. The choice of bread that it was on was a little surprising,. I got onion rings with my meal, and they were friggin fantastic. Some of the better parts of this restaurant was the waitress Carrie. She was very nice, very attentive, and best of all, she always kept my coffee cup full. She knows the way to a man's heart.! as far as ambience, this place was described as a diner. A really cool breakfast/ lunch spot about a mile north of Northfield Park on Northfield rd. They have a great array of breakfast options which are all freshly made on the premises!!!! I recommend the sausage gravy biscuits which come in either traditional, or a spicier chorizo sausage gravy. Both are delicious. I saw a lot of people eating these huge French toast meals and heard a lot of satisfied aahs! Every server was smiling and seemed happy to be there, which added to the positive experience! This ranks as my fave breakfast restaurant closest to wear I live. First off, the prices are great, the portions are more than enough and the food is tasty. You can even earn points per order/visit and I got a birthday meal for the "skee" (my teen daughter uses this term, it means free )! I usually get the veggie omelette (with hot peppers, no meat), one slice of either pepper Jack or provolone, home fries and a grilled bagel. Call ahead or order online so it's ready when you arrive. This is a small local business that is only open for breakfast and lunch. So far we've only had breakfast here but it's been delicious each time. It's always busy in here but we've never had to wait for a table and the service is top notch. The food is fresh and there are a lot of smiling, happy people here. We love coming here! Nothing like a diner done right and this place is the epitome of what diner food should be. I took my two elderly parents with me knowing they would appreciate home cooked like meals. From the moment we arrived, they were embraced. Trying to manage one in a walker and one with balance challenges can be a bit much but an exiting customer came to the rescue and escorted Mom to her table where the service staff took over. You immediately could tell the character of the place. Mom ordered the special "The Gobbler" which was an extraordinary Turkey sandwich. No deli meat here. Instead the owner freshly roasted a few birds and served up sandwiches with a huge slab of moist turkey breast dressed with lettuce, tomato and bacon. Mom worked her way through half of the beast. Dad enjoyed a chicken parmigiana sandwich and it too featured a slab of a different bird. My pulled pork sandwich was sensational with copious amounts of tender slow cooked pork topped with a light sauce on a bed of coleslaw. Great stuff. When traveling we like to look for Mom & Pop places to eat. We checked Yelp and found this place near the Cuyahoga Valley Nat'l Park as we'd been hiking throughout the day. Jennifer was our server and she was super nice and patient with this being our first time eating there. It was dinner time when we arrived but we were able to orders burgers. The burger was cooked just as I ordered and was truly one of the best I've ever eaten. The fries were homemade and were really good as well. We are semi regular. Went Sunday at 10am. There was one table, seats up to eight, open. The waitresses wouldn't let our party of four have it even though there were no other people in line. Man do I wish i lived closer. It is in an industrial area, but do not let that deter you. The food is hot, fresh and homemade. I had had originally order the country fried steak breakfast, but they were out. They make it by hand so when they are out of steaks, they are just plan out. Okay I am SO happy about a good local breakfast spot opening up. I wish they were open past lunch hour on the weekdays so I could try their meal options on the menu. The location is easy to get to and has simple decor on the inside that is awesomely related to cars...I LOVE the black mugs, wooden tables, and exposed vent system. The menu's are easy to read and even includes pictures for us curious eaters. The location is moderately small so I hope the place doesn't get too popular or I might have trouble getting a table some morning lol My servers and the front check in area staff were very friendly and attentive. The coffee was really tasty and I liked that they had a selection of flavored creamers on the table. I ordered the turbo breakfast and a 1/2 serving of the sausage gravy and biscuits to sample a bunch of their items on my first time. I loved the sausage gravy...a good amount of meat and not just creamy. The pancakes were a dream...fried perfectly but still soft and fluffy. I wasn't a huge fan of their bacon...just didnt seem like a good cut of meat so I will probably try sausage next time I go there. This is a little dinner in the middle of an industrial parkway. We went late on a Sunday morning and the place was slammed. Not a seat available in the place. But we did not wait long to get seated. Opted for lunch over breakfast. We were there at 11:30 so it could go either way. Had the turkey club with fries. It was pretty good. Turkey was good and it had a horseradish type sauce on it. I would have preferred just mayo but it wasn't bad. My partner had the chicken salad. She enjoyed it. It was just a basic salad and had sliced grilled chicken. Dressing looked bottled. Nothing fancy or unique. Just an average salad. Service was friendly, parking okay either front or back. Prices are okay. Kinda average. I'd go back and try something else. read more

I've been looking forward to this place opening for months! I went in at about 11AM on a Sunday. Service was fast and friendly. I had the fusion-style biscuits and gravy and my boyfriend had the turbo jacked breakfast - both excellent. The bacon was perfectly crispy without being burnt, and they definitely didn't skimp on the chorizo gravy. I added a few drops of smoked tabasco and it really brought it to the next level. Their decor and seating is nice too. There's a bar for a quick bite, as well as full tables. I especially liked the wood tables in the booths.
