This place is hard to categorize. It's a coffee shop, deli, cigar shop and hang out spot. You can even find interesting IPA's for sale there too. They often offer you an expresso shot or chai tea sample as they brew it. They work like a well oiled machine turning out top notch deli sandwiches for breakfast or lunch. My breakfast bagel is huge, has real egg, thick crispy bacon and delicious sharp cheddar cheese. The service is always fast, friendly and accurate.

The V-8 at Gourmand's
Kristen D.

The menu at Gourmand's is extensive and fun, and they offer a nice selection of veg-forward dishes. I chose my favorite, The V-8, a hearty sandwich made on multi-grain bread filled with crispy, fresh veggies, including cucumbers, peppers, mushrooms, red onions, sprouts, pepper rings, lettuce, and tomato, smeared with a gorgeous sundried tomato pesto. The sandwich holds together amazingly well, and it is equal parts beautiful, satisfying, and just plain delicious. Much love to the team at Gourmand's for keeping their plant-based friends in mind in such a creative, thoughtful, and intentional way. As I continue to seek for spots that create a sense of unity between plant-based diners and their meat-eating loved ones, where they can sit down and break bread together with both leaving happy and seen, Gourmand's is right at the top of that list.

Chicago beef and zucchini fries

Gourmand's is awesome. The best pulled pork sandwich I've probably every had. This time, I tried the Chicago Beef, is was amazing. The fries and zucchini fries are also great! Quality food and highly recommend. The inside is cool and offers more then just lunch. And the gentleman who checked me out was great, helpful, and had a wonderful since of humor.

It had been such a long time since I dined here. I was so glad I was in this area. This place is great for breakfast and lunch. They close at 3 daily. There are tons of items on the menu and it is broken down by meat so if poultry is your jam, you can easily find what you want. There is a very cool drink selection too. I chose a pure leaf green tea with a hint of fuji apple and ginger. So Yum! My wrap was so tasty and humongous. When you dine in, you pay when you leave. All the staff are super helpful and patient. I can't wait to return.

Superb sandwiches!! Unique and quirky little deli/cigar shop/coffee shop/beer and wine selection/restaurant around :) Nothing like it! Awesome and friendly staff that feel like family :)

One of a kind sandwich shop. They also sell cigars, wine & coffee + more. The owners are so friendly and you can tell they genuinely care about their craft. I do recommend calling your order in very early since they pretty much stop taking orders around lunchtime because it gets so busy. The shop itself is very small inside but it works! I love the Hawaii Five-O sandwich with a passion even though i still have so much left to try on the menu.

The amount of goofiness and love you meet when you walk in is crazy. I guess my mom and brothers are regulars here. Super nice staff, warm welcoming presence. They are very funny and silly. And welcome every customer in the same way. The menu is huge and everything on it is great. It was my 1st time and they did not rush me looking thru the menu. And they even offer suggestions based on taste selection. This is a Valley View/ Cleveland staple

Huge menu board

Out on the motorcycle for a ride before work and needed to pick up lunch on the way downtown; since I was coming up the Cuyahoga Valley I remembered that I had heard great things about Gourmand's. Located in a small retail plaza at the intersection of Canal and Granger Roads is one of a wonderful surprising deli, coffee shop, wine and cigar store. From the outside you would never what you find inside. Walking in Gourmand's you find a very nice and well organized shop. Half the room is set up with tables that you can seat yourself at, the decor is attractive and casual. I found myself almost overwhelmed by the huge menu boards with more choices then you would expect. Luckily the menu is well organized so I zeroed in on the fish and seafood choices and ordered the Shrimp Poboy. Since I was taking it with me, they packed the vegetables and sauces on the side so everything was perfect when I put it all together at work. The sandwich was excellent, a large portion of battered shrimp were crispy and plump. The bun was toasted nicely, crisp and tasty. The lettuce and tomato were fresh and crunchy. The sandwich came with a tangy homemade tarter sauce and zippy sirancha. All of the elements worked well together and it was as good as I have had in Cleveland. Stopped by for a second visit and had to try the Redfish Sandwich based on the review by Jason Y. He was so right as this is one of the best fish sandwiches I have had. You get 3 good sized fillets of ocean perch with a crispy coating, a very good and very hot sauce, coleslaw on slices of excellent toast. The fish was perfectly cooked with the hot sauce just at the edge of being too hot, but then balanced by the crisp and cool slaw. The only problem I had with the sandwich is that it was messy to eat; I would rate this as a 4-5 napkins required. Gourmand's lives up to its name, the food is excellent and you get great food for a reasonable price. If you are anywhere close, check them out.

One of the best delis I've had! Love going here during the work week! All the workers are extremely nice. I've had a couple items from the menu but keep finding myself getting the Hawaii Five-Oh every time I come back! It's very flavorful as large! All the flavors of this sandwich come together very well. If you come here anytime between 11:30-12:30 you will have to wait a good amount of time for your sandwich.

The FANTASTIC pork cutlet sandwich!

Everything was delicious with my breakfast sandwich, except the eggs were either baked or microwaved. It was also super thin.

Anyways, I got the Italian sub (because when in Rome, do as the Romans) the gal did offer to heat my sub and I took her up on it. I'm from Pittsburgh so the lack of Italian food in Cleveland sometimes, and only sometimes takes a toll on me. This was a refreshing find for me. The Italian comes with muffuletta on it. You know, the pickled vegetable/olive mix famous in the French Quarter of New Orleans?... My friend got the Caesar salad but with oil and vinegar. They also have coke products here! I don't drink much pop but when I waste calories on pop, it is only ever Coca Cola :) You can get pizza by the slice to go. The white artichoke pizza slices would've taken 40 mins so I opted for pepperoni. They put my slices in bags and I was on my way. I asked about the weekend hours (so I could bring my boyfriend when we aren't working) they do not have weekend hours. Gotta get here during the week YALL! It is entirely worth the commitment.

I downloaded their app, placed an order for a scheduled time, and it was ready when I got there. I went with the prime rib steak and cheese. Everything was cooked as it should have been. Yuk.. but I supposed it was better for me healthwise. Lol. This was my first visit to any Potbelly and I was impressed. I'll eat here again when I'm in the area. I took my father there on Sunday April 19th at 5pm. Before I get started with the negative, I would like the manager of this location to know that they are very lucky to have Maddy as an employee. Now for the bad: when we walked in, at least four tables were filthy. Three tables had their chairs up like they were getting ready to close and there were three dirty tables in the back. We sat at the only clean table. The employee named Katy should no longer be working there. I don't know how anybody gets paid to be that rude to people. She didn't smile she didn't say hello when I told her I didn't come there often she wasn't helpful. I only ordered two sandwiches and drinks. It was a low maintenance order and she literally made me feel bad for making her take the time to wait on me. It was a horrible customer experience. While I was there, some guy came in who had gone home and come back because he was given the wrong sandwich. I didn't hear her apologize once. I took a picture and it's posted on this website of the overflowing trash area. The picture that I posted doesn't include our trash. I had to put our trash on top of the pile of trash. The place was a mess. I will say there is potential in the employee name Maddy she was super excited about the company and how they keep things fresh. She was excited to talk about the company and seemed proud. To the management, this place needs one heck of a makeover in every sense of the word

Gluten-free rolls available!…read more DiBella's Subs is located in close proximity to the Corporate Plaza (Independence business district) and local hotel cluster (3 minute drive). There is plenty of parking in the plaza. My company used to frequently order catering from this location. And so, I decided to try something familiar while in the area. This was my first time at their physical location. Deli Feel: The deli has NYC deli feel - subway tiles and vintage deli art. Think a nice Italian elevated deli. It doesn't seem that there is A/C at this location or at least it's not running at its capacity. There were ceiling fans operating but on a hot summer day it was toasty. The restaurant offers tables and booths. I observed that most guests found themselves comfortable in booths. Around 1 PM on a weekday there was a steady crowd dining in and ordering takeout. Ordering: Your order is placed and picked up at the back counter. Signage is a bit disorienting. Think Penn Station type layout. You can also pre-order online. My order was ready quickly. I observed that other guests had to wait awhile. Orders were not called in the numerical order. If you have a large or complex order or are pressed for time, I recommend exploring online ordering. Menu: DiBella's menu is straightforward - subs, mini meals (5" small sub + side + drink), salads, drinks, sides and sweets. They conveniently highlight seasonal menu and top sellers on their menu. Best seller subs are Godfather, Turkey, and Cheesesteaks. DiBella's Subs are known for their old-fashioned submarines. They have in-house bakery, bake their own bread. They also market Grandma DiBella's cookies. While placing an order online or in person, you can choose your bread, cheese, and topping options. Gluten free menu items are available for all subs. My Order: I ordered 10" DiBella's BLT on sesame bread with American cheese for $11.39. The bread was very fresh and impressed me. The ingredients weren't notable - bacon was burned and clearly lower grade, cheese and veggies were just okay. I wouldn't say that the sandwich was heavy on fillings. The sub was fine, definitely not the best BLT in my lifetime. Customer Service: Customer service was condescending. The employee at checkout made visible unpleasant faces at customers. Questions were not well received from all customers during my visit. Questions were mainly order and menu related. Once it was my turn, I did not know where to look for bread and cheese options as a first timer. The menu was pointed out to me in a very impudent manner. It was really disappointing to witness interactions between customers and employees. Upon exit, I observed another employee returning to work looking very displeased. Hopefully bad service is not part of everyday culture. Catering: My company used to order catering from DiBella's. Orders were always efficient and right. Everyone considered the subs just alright. Bread wasn't as fresh as I've experienced at their location. Overall, it's a fine spot for a casual lunch if you're in the area. Good for catering if you want to treat your staff to something simple. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

The large Italian beef was indeed large (I should have ordered the regular; the large is more than any one person should eat) and packed with beef. The portion of fries was big, too. Quick service. Took only a few minutes to get my order. Minuses: While there was a lot of beef, the spicy giardinera was on the skimpy side. Traditionally, that would be piled high and falling off; this was not much and buried inside. The fries were limp; a few seemed not quite cooked through. My first bite into the beef puzzled me. It was mushy. This continued throughout the sandwich. From the pinkish hue of some of the beef, I'm guessing this might be due to being cooked less than I'm used to? In any case, it was disconcerting. And the jus was much plainer than I'm used to, as well. I expected to see flecks of oregano and other spices; this version was darker and seemed to be lacking those. It may be unfair to compare this to my expectations. Maybe, if you're new to Italian beef, you might enjoy this. But if you're looking for a Buona / Mr. Beef / Portillo's experience, you won't find it here.
