Heard about this place from a few people and decided to try it out. It's a take out only location, you can go in person or call in. I went for lunch just before noon. I ordered their turkey sandwich and it took around 5ish minutes or slightly more. They had a big order to fill. So expect some wait time if someone placed a big order. Sandwich was delicious, good amount of turkey. Did not see any options aside from what's on the menu, like toasted bread or mixing other ingredients from one sandwich to the other. Carry out only sandwich spot with some unique twists on classics. I'm not vegetarian but decided to try the vegetarian sandwich and omg it was so good! First of all it's not basic lettuce tomato onion that you can make anywhere. There's roasted veggies and pickled veggies and there was soft and there was crunch. I could taste that some of the veggies were sprinkled with sea salt or something similar and that made the sandwich 10x even more special. This place gets A LOT of hype, but is it worth it? YES. This restaurant is takeout only. We walked in around noon on a Friday. There was only one person in front of us in line. We ordered two sandwiches: the vegetable (it's vegetarian) and the Turkey club. I saw from reviews online that we should be prepared for a long wait. So we sat down on the bench inside to wait. I was pleasantly surprised when we only had to wait 15 minutes during the prime lunch hour! We go the two subs, two bags of chips, and two bottles of water for under $30, which I thought was so reasonable! The sandwiches were hearty and big! We took our sandwiches to the nearby park / library to eat on a bench, since there was no where to actually eat at the restaurant. Being a vegetarian, it's difficult to find filling and flavorful food. But omgsh, this sandwich was amazing! (My husband said it was even better than his!) So many wonderful flavors from the sweet potato, to the picked red onions, the pesto, the fire roasted tomato. OMG YUM. Ive been dying to try this place, as I've heard very good things about it!! I drove by it by chance one day an had to turn around and get something!! I decided on the Italian - my go to sub - I was especially excited about the roasted garlic mayo!!! The sandwich was pretty big and stuffed with ingredients. This sandwhich was SO GOOOOOOD!! I must admit, I am not a fan of saving a sub because the sauces usually cause the bread to go soggy by the next day...but I couldn't finish the whole things like I usually can. The next day when I opened the sandwich to finish the 2nd half....it was as if it was made fresh right then and there. I've been wanting to try this place for so long but it's tough to catch them outside of work hours since they're always out of bread so early! Finally made it down to Ohio City for lunch over the weekend and tried two of the most popular sandwiches: the shaved prime rib and smoked turkey club. Smoked turkey club is a 5/5 must-try!! The bread is lightly toasted to crunchy-but-soft perfection and robust enough to be jam-packed with multiple layers of filling, without being overly thick or dense. Highlights for me were the maple-smoked bacon and lightly savory sun-dried tomato mayo which made this sandwich absolutely packin with flavor ~ Prime rib was tasty as well but seemed to rely more on meat as the star ingredient, so the flavor ended up a bit lacking. Overall though, these sandwiches are hefty, delicious and refreshing with very deliberately layered combinations that take these to the next level beyond your average sub. Surprisingly almost 1.5hr wait around lunchtime since they've gotten quite popular during COVID. Next time I'll definitely call ahead since you can order on the phone and pick up anytime, but keep in mind that their hours are listed as "11am-5pm or sold out" and it's almost always the latter, so stop by early before they run out of bread! read more

Herb n Twine has been bookmarked for years. I salivate over their menu, I plan a trip, I dream of these famous sandwiches... and something always keeps my plans down. Not today, universe!! Finally. Husband and I both order the Italian sandwich. Just the way it comes, even though neither of us like onion. The people were very nice and the shop was surprisingly quiet. It smelled amaaaaaazing. Our sandwiches were ready pretty quickly. I love that they have a relatively simple menu- with perfectly cultivated creations. We walked to our car and immediately chowed down. Dan had barely finished his first bite before he was making yummy noises. We both barely stopped chewing, but could not stop saying how delicious it was. The bread was crisp and chewy and perfectly seasoned. The Mayo and sauce and veggies- so much flavor. Super quality meats and cheeses. This was easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever had I also couldn't resist the tomato soup. So smooth, a touch of cream, and packing flavor. My only wish is that they bring back dine-in soon. We don't live close enough to get our food home quickly. But eating this masterpiece in the car was a mess. Love it. Can't wait to return. read more

The BEST sandwich shop in Cleveland. From the outside it looks like a hole in the wall. But from the minute you walk in and smell the place you know it's next level. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu, even the vegetarian sandwich is great. My favorites are the Italian and the Nashville hot chicken. Both have a ton of flavor and are huge, so it's very filling. The staff are all fantastic. Only con is that it can be hard to get through to them when you call on Friday or Saturday. Of the options I went with the Nashville hot chicken because that just sounded awesome and let me say it was very much so as the chicken was delicious full of flavor with just enough spice to make it nice and a yummy slaw over the top of it to set the whole thing straight! Their bread here is awesome it's totally fresh and just delicious it really was a highlight of the already good sandwich plus that's always a biggie for me if a place makes their own bread you sooo know the rest of it is going to be scrumptious! For chips here they offer the Dirty brand which I've always enjoyed over the years as they are super flavorful and just yummy no matter what flavor you get! Everything about our lunch this day was awesome we got our order to go and ate at a near by park as it was a beautiful day out and they don't currently offer dine in because of what's going on it was with this that they are accepting phone orders so just call it in and you'll be all good!
