This place is a one stop shop for many Cleveland classics both original and vegan versions. My pre-trip research brought this place to my attention. I wanted to try the pierogi and the Polish boy and the KRAUT and having an extensive beer menu doesn't hurt either. Friendly neighborhood watering hole literally on the corner and basically across the street from the a Christmas story house allowing you to eat within eye sight of the leg lamp. I wanted basically everything from the menu that came vegan (spoiler alert there are tons and tons of things) but gastric space comes at a premium on vacation so we settled on the fried cheese. I was very excited to see the Polish boy (and vegan option no less) I didn't have much of a choice. GF ordered the vegan pierogi platter with vegan kielbasa on a bed of kraut. Firstly the fried cheese was head and shoulders above any mozz sticks or anything of the sort that I have had in memory. The breading is seasoned and crispy and heaven on earth. The cheese is PIPING. Like you will burn yourself if you, like me, have no patience. The accompanying tomato sauce is also steaming. So good. The Polish boy was also in a league of its own. Love that they have a vegan version. What a combo. Probably one of Cleveland's most important community contributions. We ordered the latkes to go and they were orgasmic. Another Triple D joint, another homerun meal in Cleveland! Directly across the street from "A Christmas Story" lies a perfect dive with great eats! My salmon avacado toast was phenomenal. Good sourdough, flavorful dill cream cheese, lots of avocado and salmon. It was hearty and delicious. The star of the show for me were the pickled onions and capers on the toast. Briny acid cut the richness. I got a side of apples, nuts and honey. Very good candied walnuts but (I know this picky) my apples were cut poorly, still had the tough core and seeds, but oh well. The bacon wrapped tots - which Guy Fieri raved about - were definitely worth the hype! So good and I loved the spicy sauce. Such a fantastic breakfast. Get here early. My girlfriend and I recently saw this place on an episode of DDD with Guy Fieri and it just so happened to be the place our friends invited us to for brunch yesterday. Being a warm day in March, the place was packed around 11 AM, so we had a 20 minute wait to get seated. Food was amazing (I had the no-frills pancakes with a side of sausage patties (smashed style). A neighborhood bar that has been here for years. It used to be a dive bar years ago, but is now a very popular spot to grab something to eat and have a few drinks. They were very crowded, but by luck we didn't have to wait for a seat. It's definitely a small place and the tables are close together. Our waiter was very nice and checked on us often. The menu is not very large, but definitely some good options. The food was very good. I was pleasantly surprised, although it can be pricey. It is a very loud place, so if you want quiet, this would not be it. The only thing complaint I have was there was a very noticeable draft where we were sitting and no we were not by the front door. I was visiting my hometown and went here for the first time. This bar and restaurant is popular for good reason. The food is amazing, the portions are huge, and they have a great selection of local beers. It gets packed at times there was a 25 minute wait for a table when we got there so we sat at the bar instead. The staff is great. I was so impressed by the food here! It was recommended to me as "good bar food" but this is far from what I would call bar food! This may be a bar - but they have amazing restaurant style food. I would come here again just for the food. Although the drinks are good too. I should note that the food is definitely not priced as bar food. It's a little on the pricier side, but I can see why. We love the food at the Rowley Inn, especially the vegan options. It allows our entire family a chance to eat breakfast out together. We always call ahead and it takes about 20 minutes to drive to the Rowley Inn. We still had a short wait upon arrival but it wasn't bad. It was Father's Day and it was very busy. We were seated in the back directly over a vent and it was very cold during our entire meal. I asked to move but was told the empty tables were for reservations and there were no moving tables. I found this place on Reddit and I must say, this was probably the best brunch that I've ever had. As soon as I wanted into the place, I knew I had found the right place. It's a beautiful neighborhood bar that is large and very clean, yet feels very inviting. The staff was super friendly and made excellent recommendations. Everyone that came into the place was greeted with genuine enthusiasm and hospitality. The food was absolutely amazing! They had one crabcake left and asked if I wanted it as a sandwich or as an appetizer. It was probably one of the best crabcakes I've ever had.
