Arrived to the airport early and had some time to kill, so I decided to have lunch here. It wasn't overly busy, so I was able to get a table which was located in an open area that overlooked the concourse/terminal. My waitress (Renee) immediately greeted me, she was friendly & professional and offered to take my drink order, since I was ready, she took my order, fish & chips which comes with a cup of coleslaw. The food arrived fairly quickly and I was impressed at the size of the meal. A large fillet perfectly fried and crispy. The fries were ok, but they do offer malt vinegar on the side and a the tartar sauce was good. The place definitely has that old English pub feel and appeared to be clean and orderly. Had some extra time today before take off, so we decided to sit down and eat a meal here instead of the food court area. We both ordered a chicken club sandwich. The sandwiches ($21) came with pub chips which I was good with. My husband wanted fries instead so he paid $3 more for fries. I ordered my sandwich with no cheese or aioli/mayo. I did ask for honey mustard instead and was charged $1.00 for a tiny cup of it. But did they take some money off for the removal of cheese or aioli?? The sandwich itself was good but it was on the smaller side. I can never finish a whole sandwich but I finished this one. Service was good for an airport restaurant. I manage a bar and am pretty understanding with service and drinks but the black hair young girl bartender made me the absolute worst margarita I've ever had and never asked us how our food or drinks were. She was nice but definitely inexperienced the service was pretty awful. We got ignored for the first 15 minutes. It was just a weird experience and paying $25 when it didn't even taste anything close to what it was supposed to be is crazy. I have no idea what she did to the "margarita" but it was super sweet and horrible. There was also no salt rim which was on the menu :( I'll probably try it again if I get the opportunity. Instead of leaving, asked to speak to a manager to explain my experience but only received an even worse attitude, including the explanation that "she is old and YOU should have spoken up" & "well you saw her cleaning and that's very important too so she was just busy". Both the bartender and manager should be relieved of their duties. They are in the customer service business and clearly don't care or want to do their jobs properly. I've visited The Pub at Cleveland Hopkins Airport before and appreciated that it leaned into its English pub theme. Unfortunately, that no longer seems to be the case. While the décor still reflects a traditional British pub atmosphere, the menu has shifted heavily toward standard American airport fare. Classic items like corned beef hash, beef pot roast, shepherd's pie, The Cotswold, The Belhaven, and bangers and mash are no longer available. In their place are mostly burgers and typical sandwiches -- fine for what they are, but not what you'd expect from a place branding itself as an English pub. If you're simply looking for a quick airport meal, it may do the job. However, if you're hoping for British or British-inspired cuisine, you may want to adjust your expectations. read more

I felt like taking a nap after eating that meal which worked out great for the flight home. The restaurant does feel like you are in a UK pub in the middle of an American airport. I've eaten plenty of airport food so my expectations were not high, but good god the food was awful (especially at airport prices). I had a burger that was overcooked to the point of being hard to chew, and the "toasted" bun was hard and burned in places. My wife got the pretzel bread appetizer, with a "beer cheese spread" that was some sort of spongy-textured weird tasting orange stuff that was served cold. We always arrive at the airport early and sit down for breakfast. The Pub looked inviting with an English style interior. You seat yourself and the menu can be pulled up on your phone. We were there for breakfast and there are only 3 choices, but they worked fine for us. Our server was super friendly and attentive and even brewed us a fresh pot of decaf coffee. You have a choice of a breakfast sandwich, an omelet, or eggs and bacon. I opted for over easy eggs, bacon, hash browns and an English muffin. Food arrived in under 10 minutes and was hot and exactly what I ordered. Our server continued to ask if we needed anything and was prompt about bringing the check. I remember the first time I ever traveled to LA I flew out of CLE because it was the closest airport to me at the time that had a non-stop flight to LA. I had about 3 hours to burn that day before my flight boarded so I ended up stopping in here without knowing anything about it(my pre-Yelp days) but I loved the exterior of it and what I could see of the inside too. So, I decided to walk in and order a drink and later on some food. The interior of this place is just my style of pub and the waitress and bartender on that day in particular were very friendly, welcoming and courteous. I had a burger(pre-vegan days) and it was very good and the fries were too. I also had several shots of Jameson chilled and a couple of draft beers. Also delicious! All in all this isn't your typical airport restaurant or bar. It's the kind of place I'd hang out at on a weekly basis for the great atmosphere, the great employees, the great vibes and the great selection of food & drink. I think one of the things I enjoy most about this place is the way it's set up and the courtyard they have outside the restaurant that makes you feel like you're literally outside. I'd say you're going to hit a home run with anything you eat here as the fish and chips and Shepard's pie are amazing and are two of my favorites. If you're ever traveling and you happen to have a layover at Cleveland Hopkins International or are just traveling out of it please make sure to stop in here and have some food and drinks. Double pub trouble, good drinks! Honestly one of the most solid quick bites (and non chaotic) sit down places at any airport ever I've been to. Crispy wings and some great sauces: BBQ, Guinness BBQ, buffalo, ranch. Plain wings are good or have them tossed. I was able to work from my computer at the table, no issues with airport Wi-Fi either. The Pub is a place in the airport that serves food. Should you eat here? Maybe! There aren't a lot of other sit down options. The interior is really well done in an English Pub them. I had a lovely photo of QEII starting at me while I ate which was both unsettling and awesome. The Pub seems best suited for drinks as one might expect. We, however, needed lunch. The bar itself dominates the room. There are about 20 four tops and a few people dined at the bar itself. The place was very cold. The breakfast menu has a decent variety of selections. I ordered coffee, scrambled eggs with bacon, fried potatoes and sourdough toast. My wife had an omelette with fried potatoes and rye toast. A very decent choice for lunch or dinner, especially given the limited choices in many airports. I was pleasantly surprised by this Brit-styled pub. The interior is snug, dark-wood toned, and additionally had a droll "outdoor" patio section as an alternate seating area. The menu certainly had many familiar American faves like burgers and reubens, but they highlighted some classic (maybe cliched?) British pub fare like bangers & mash, fish & chips, scotch eggs, shepherd pie. I had a nice ham and melted swiss on a pretzel bun with Guiness-braised onions. It was rich, tasty, and satisfying; the pretzel bun had a nice al dente chewiness to it; and it came with a mustard sauce on the side that had a good bite and sharpness. The Pub also offered a decent selection of UK stouts, lagers, and ales as well as domestic ones; and a selection of well-known scotches. If I ever get delayed in CLE, I'll at least know a place to settle into and plow through the single malts! read more

Had a flight delay so stopped in. The service was terrible. The food was acceptable. I finished my meal and the server was no where to be found and I needed to leave to catch my flight. I went to the bar and asked if I could pay. She said no you have to pay your waitress. She went to get here and I heard my waitress say he can wait. I walked over and told her I could not wait I had to go so could I just pay. She said no she had other people to take care of. I said I just want to pay could I see the manager. She slammed the card reader down and said there it is. So said where is the manager. When the manager came I asked can I just pay. The waitress said I put the reader out for you and that I was such an idiot I could not do it. I said I would never eat here again. The manager said that is fine we don't want you. Is that how to treat customers. This is an airport restaurant. People do not have unlimited time to wait. I travel through CLE frequently and will never go back. Don't recommend this place. I did not eat here ... so this review is just a review of the pub as a place to sit and have a drink before a flight. Amazingly, a beer is ten fucking dollars here on draft but to sit at a stool and watch soccer in a semi-authentic feeling British pub style atmosphere vs. being packed into uncomfortable seats amongst hundreds of people in yoga pants and flip flops with their screaming kids, I'd probably have paid twice that for a beer. The food didn't look bad for airport food, based on what others were eating. What I liked most was the draft beer selection ... it was listed by country (UK, Ireland, US, etc.) and they had obscure and hard to find beers in the US on draft such as Boddington's and Thistle IPA. The pints are served in 20 oz. UK pints vs. 16 oz. US pints, which is also welcome and fitting given the price. In London, there are precious few pubs which don't look like this ... you expect craggy old pubs with dusty/faded wood which might have the initials of Charles Dickens scratched into them. Instead, the breweries have taken over the pubs and Disney-fied them making them look 'authentic' in a way that the Olive Garden looks like a Tuscan villa. However, sadly, this manufactured authenticity is the reality in London, so this place feels pretty good. If only they would close off the kitchen which can be seen on the rear wall of the pub, filthy dishes piling up as 20-something year old cooks and dishwashers skate back and forth through the opening. They even have a little faux fenced in 'outdoor' area where you can sort of people watch while eating and drinking behind a pointy fence with ivy. I dare you to try to light a cigarette on this area. For what it is ... a spacious pub with a selection of beer on draft I would welcome at my local watering hole ... I'd return for a drink before my flight again. Cleveland Airport is very surprising because as small as it is, it is much more comfortable and has many more food options than bigger airports like LAX and Logan which are split into faraway terminals. read more

I was so happy to find this oasis in the middle of the airport while the BF and I were waiting for our flight home! I don't do fast food if it's at all possible, so we decided to check this place out. Last day of our mini vacay so why not get a beer? we are in the PUB!! They had a pretty good beer list and I saw Palm on draft! WHAA?? Our waitress was also super sweet and knowledgeable. But ;( BUMMER!! the keg was dry!!! I ended up with a Stella I think and a really tasty chicken salad with cranberries and almonds and mandarin oranges. I was trying!! My BF tried the shepherd's pie and really liked it. The atmosphere was also really cozy and cute and there was a good size bar where you could watch sports or news du jour if you like!
