    Traditional Irish Breakfast

Wow. We talked about going to Stone Mad for their Irish Breakfast for years and finally made it last weekend. It was amazing. The puddings and bangers were smooth. Toast, beans and grilled tomato were delicious. They cook the eggs the way you order. I paired my breakfast with a mimosa. It was definitely hardy so be sure to go hungry for this one! Service was wonderful at the bar.

We went to Stone mad a few months ago. We started with the chicken paprikas dip and it was so good. The flavors were amazing and it came with a pretzel to dip with, hello! Genius. I got the Sheppard pie, which I normally wouldn't order from a restaurant, but this just looked so good. It was as beautiful as it was delicious.. husband got the brisket sandwich that came with basically breakfast hash browns which was a nice comfort, touch. And the sauces that came with it really cut the sandwich flavors well. We found stone mad because it's across from a popular pizza place. The front is a bar, but when you walk through to the back it's a cute, cozy restaurant space with some obvious regulars and newcomers like us. Service was great, food was wonderful, would recommend.

If you are on the west side, you have stop by! The outside was simply beautiful. I have never seen a restaurant that literally used stone for Everything! I only ordered takeout, but I wish I had time to enjoy the stone outdoor seating. The turkey club sandwich was huge! I was able to share it with my sister. I was also able to substitute the coleslaw for the spuds. They were absolutely delicious and filling. The restaurant did not skip on the toppings, which is what I loved. I definitely will come back to visit this place. Hopefully I will be able to get a seat outside.

I really wanted to like this place more. The beer selection is excellent. The staff was friendly and professional. I got a strip steak special with mushrooms sauce. The price was good and the sauce was great. If not for the toughness of the steak it would be amazing. It was cooked well though and I appreciate that. I'd definitely visit again if I was in the area

This is a great bar that serves food and has a bocce ball court. Its home-style cuisine fits the vibe. It definitely has an old school ambiance and it's worth checking out for the stonework, woodwork, tiles and windows. All in all, it's a pretty cool place!

Atmosphere: Bomb! Food: Good! Good for groups: Excellent! Price: Slightly Expensive Overall: Great place! Go, go, go! Atmosphere: Stone Mad Pub is a wonderful place to take a date or to go with a group of friends. When you first walk in,, you are invited to an open floor/stand up bar which was being used for a large party of about 25 people. The next room is one of the main seating areas, very dark but also had a fireplace to help light the room. The atmosphere was much more rustic than I expected, but I enjoyed it! The back room is much brighter with large windows to illuminate the room with natural light. This is also the room where they have a bocce court which is really fun! (The court is a little too fast for the balls used but makes it for a fun/competitive experience.) Food: I went with a group and we started off with the Chicken Paprikash Dip as a starter. Fantastic! Packed with flavor and similar to buffalo chicken dip. I ordered the Irish Burger since the Stone Mad Burger was so expensive to add all of the additional. It had a huge patty and fresh ingredients but I was shocked at how tasteless the beef was. It was still good, but almost tasted like there was absolutely no seasoning or marinade put in it. The Stone Mad Fries needed a little more salt but that was an easy fix. My date ordered the four cheese pizza and had the same feedback. Good, but seemed like it was missing something. Overall: I had a blast. The place sparked great conversation and the beer list was really good. Not to mention the Stone Patio and Bocce court that would make this place a must try during the spring/summer. I will definitely be back again!

The food arrived fairly quickly and I was impressed at the size of the meal. A large fillet perfectly fried and crispy. The fries were ok, but they do offer malt vinegar on the side and a the tartar sauce was good. The place definitely has that old English pub feel and appeared to be clean and orderly. The sandwich itself was good but it was on the smaller side. I can never finish a whole sandwich but I finished this one. Service was good for an airport restaurant. We did try to find a table with outlets to charge our phones and they didn't have any.

You won't even be able to stand. As for my other visit, it was on a Friday night. A nice sized crowd, full bar. Sports game on the television. A nice atmosphere for a neighborhood bar. A great touch is the 1 pinball machine in the corner. Older game but it does take up something to do with friends. As with service we were told that the bar is extremely behind by a rude bartender named Meg. You can tell she was overwhelmed and just seemed to be having a rough day. A few minutes later we were told by staff that the kitchen was now closed. Pretty strange as the menu is mainly all bar served fried food or burgers etc. The bartender also announced that they were out of fish as well. I continued to order drinks, they were cold and tasted as advertised. About an hour or so later , the kitchen was then re opened when the bar was less crowded. I order a dozen wings, garlic Parmesan with ranch. The wings were real solid. Nice and crispy and the garlic and parm combo was just enough. The basket of fries we got were average fries. Not crispy, nor salty but atleast they were hot. The prices were about average, no complaints about that. Overall, the bar does not seem to handle stress or large crowds very well. My wings were good, fries were average like I said. My friends attend this bar often and did tell me that this bar is not like this usually. May have been a rough day. I assume I will be back again, I wouldn't pick this place to go to but the location is close enough to the area we hang out. Not so much of any certain type of theme at the bar but I did notice the staff recognize many patrons by name so it will continue to be the neighborhood bar for many. Overall a 6.7 out of 10.

Erin was our server and she was amazing, from beginning to end! We would come back just for her, but I know she works limited hours because she's busy being an epic artist! She let my dad tell her dad jokes and when he wanted to meet Leo (because he looks like Fish from Shoresy and my mom thought he was hot) they obliged which was truly going above and beyond (even if it made me and my sister a little awkward). The boudin balls were great! Very similar to New Orlean's verisons so that was great! We also tried the hot rocks which were also great! Our table tried both gumbos, the jambalaya and the crab cakes. All of which were delicious and the closest you'll find to NOLA style around here! For dessert my mom scored the last creme brulee which made her day and the rest of us had beignets. Their beignets are definitely not Cafe Beignet or Loretta's level, but they are still absolutely delicious as their own dessert, like a mix between a funnel cake and a beignet! Drinks were also amazing! It's one of like 3 places you can get a Pimms cup in Cleveland! We shared the loco moski, paprikash sandwich, and a side of bacon wrapped tots (good option if you just want 2 and not the full appetizer). While the bacon wrapped tots are famous from Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, I actually liked the loco moski and paprikash sandwich more. The loco moski is a fun combination between a loco moco but with pierogi, and I like that the peppered gravy wasn't too rich. The paprikash sandwich was also a great combo of chicken, sausage, peppers, cheese, paprikash, on lightly crispy bread. Parking available as free street parking--though you may have to circle to find parking since it's near the Christmas House. Staff were nice and efficient. I wanted to try the pierogi and the Polish boy and the KRAUT and having an extensive beer menu doesn't hurt either. Friendly neighborhood watering hole literally on the corner and basically across the street from the a Christmas story house allowing you to eat within eye sight of the leg lamp. I wanted basically everything from the menu that came vegan (spoiler alert there are tons and tons of things) but gastric space comes at a premium on vacation so we settled on the fried cheese. I was very excited to see the Polish boy (and vegan option no less) I didn't have much of a choice. GF ordered the vegan pierogi platter with vegan kielbasa on a bed of kraut. Firstly the fried cheese was head and shoulders above any mozz sticks or anything of the sort that I have had in memory. The breading is seasoned and crispy and heaven on earth. The cheese is PIPING. Like you will burn yourself if you, like me, have no patience. The accompanying tomato sauce is also steaming. So good. The Polish boy was also in a league of its own. Love that they have a vegan version. What a combo. Probably one of Cleveland's most important community contributions. We ordered the latkes to go and they were orgasmic. What a special place.
