So after talking it over with my husband, he would have given it 4 stars- , but I just loved it so much that I gave it 5 stars!! After going to a candlelight concert in Cleveland, we came here for dinner around 8 o'clock-ish. There were four couples and just for fun..the girls sat at a table, and the guys sat at the other Two of us girls got the Irishman burger and it was a 10 out of 10! !! The Burger had enough char on it to give it such a good flavor and we just raved about it at the table! YUM!! Our other friend got the salmon stirfry and absolutely loved it! Now at the boys table- my husband got the Irishman Burger another got Nora's famous bowl another got fish and chips.. Nora's famous bowl, which was full of chunks of fried chicken over mashed potatoes with a Guinness gravy was a big hit! I will probably get that next time. One of the girls got the smoked Gouda mac & cheese, and added shrimp to it.... Sadly, this was not one of their best dishes. My friend really did not like it. The other miss was their pierogies- the inside filling was good, but the pierogi dough was tough The service was laid-back and friendly- we all had a good time We will definitely go back here! I've been in Nora's a few times, but we looked up to what I thought was an apartment and it turned out they have an upstairs bar called Finns. Now, they have this bar set up like a pop up Christmas bar. I love downtown Willoughby because you could imagine this place was once somebody's home. It's been beautifully converted into a nice little bar. If you want to escape the loudness of Nora's downstairs, you can go upstairs to Finn's. Now, I understand you can rent this place out. But they have Christmas ales they have appropriately menu-ed Christmas drinks. Now, we weren't there for dinner time, so I have no idea if they served food up there, but I imagine they do. It was really cool because if you're looking to get into the Christmas spirit, they found a way to do it. And this little Christmas bar just made me so happy. It looks warm and inviting from the outside. That coupled with a brisk wind in downtown Willoughby. Made this place an awesome addition to our night. read more

My wife and I have been here several times lately. The service is excellent. We went twice for the trivia, and it was a lot of fun. The food in my opinion is just "OK' bar food, although my wife really likes the food. I would definitely recommend Nora's as it has an excellent outdoor patio that we were able to bring our dog to. When we first walked in, kinda lost as to if we were supposed to seat ourselves or not but then quickly found someone and asked. The waiter came to our table quickly and was like "whatca drinking" she said that as she gave us our menus (so super fast). Coming from out of town we needed a min to review the menu and what they had to offer. The ambiance was great, at first we were at a table then we took over a booth shortly after a larger party and it was awesome! I went with my family. My father ordered the chips and dip, my mother the steak Sammy and I got the pulled pork nachos with sour cream on the side. Pulled pork was flavorful and complemented the seasoning they use on the chips (I think its jalapeño seasoning?) Not very hot at all in terms of spicy. read more

Stoped here last year because of Cleveland Pierogi Week and agreed, this was the best of the week. Again this year, they take the title. Don't wait until next year to try this place. There is not much to improve on at Noras Public House. My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch and were seated immediately. After ordering drinks another employee checked to see if we were attended to. I ordered the Fish and Chips. The order came and was a large portion which was prepared perfectly. My wife ordered a burger and told e it was very good and tasted like steak. We also ordered the Smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese which was delicious. All of the staff were friendly and helpful to us. Wife and I decided to go somewhere we haven't been before and came across Nora's in downtown Willoughby. The ambiance was quaint. The food and service amazing. I ordered the Nora's Big Boy burger, 2 1/4-pound patties with their special sauce, and my wife had the Nora's bowl. Breaded Chicken chunks, mashed potatoes and Guinness gravy. Warmed up with A Smithwick Ale and Irish Pierogis The Irish pierogis had mushroom and Guiness gravy which made them delicious, split 3 with my wife Tried there regular onion sour cream pierogi appetizer next with another Smithwick Ale and my wife had potato pancake and sour cream and apple sauce which she enjoyed. This restaurant is operating with indoor seating and they try to space you apart. I'd never been here but I heard the menu recently shifted in tone - I would say this location is now aiming for the British bar vibe. The food was average and the portions were large. The highlight of Cleveland Wing Week. Came here to try the peach bourbon honey sriracha wings and they were fantastic. The sweet to heat ratio was phenomenal. The flavors in the sauce collaborated nicely and neither one over powered the other. The fries were fresh and the high noon was cold. I've frequented downtown willoughby for almost a decide and this was my first time inside of Nora's. The theme of the bar was Ireland so there's Irish flags and whiskey swag all over the place. The whiskey selection was more than the average bar. The only thing that kept this experience from being 5 stars was the service. It's was a wonderful Saturday afternoon and there appeared to be some festival in downtown willoughby. When I entered Nora's all the other guests were outside on the patio. I was the only customer inside. While I was there I watched two couples enter, sit, and leave due to lack of service. I didn't experience this issue. I will definitely return. read more

We share the Cajun mussels... they're our absolute favorite. The sauce is so rich, just the right heat and our server offered us extra toasted baguettes since there were 3 of us. I got the harvest salad with chicken and it was perfect. Our server even let me try the dressing as I've never had miso. It was savory and delicious. Please teach your bouncers how to read out of state IDs. I moved to willoughby a week ago and wanted to celebrate finishing my first week at my new job. This Friday night my friend and I (both from PA) were stopped by the bouncer. In PA, if you receive your drivers license under the age of 21 you can have a vertical ID until your 25th birthday. We also had our Penn State IDs on hand, but even after showing those the bouncer took our Drivers Licenses. Thankfully he gave them back when I left to get an officer but we were not allowed in the bar. Luckily there are other great bars in the area with knowledgeable bouncers. I would recommend Balentines or Mularkeys if you're coming out of state :) read more

Nice little place, employees were outgoing. The hostess/bartender told us there were no tables available when we arrived. We told her we had reservations for four at 7:00 pm. She came back after a couple of minutes and stated that she never looked in the book. Ah, the old reservation book. The bar half was people on top of people. Sadly we had to walk thru the zoo to leave the dining area. Next to the entrance is a very small table for 2 that had 6 people squeezed into this area, (some were standing). We had to squeeze thru to leave. What happened to Covid??? We were seated in the dining room. They're known for their chicken fingers, but I wasn't as impressed as everyone at our table. They were juicy, but cooked a bit too long. The breading was very dark in color. Blackened buttermilk breading that lacked flavor. My Shepherds Pie was something to be desired. Not only have I never had such a small portion, (the size of a French onion crock), it wasn't even layered. I've never had anything like it. It reminded me of a very thick stew. There was even a small potato in it! Where was the garlic mashed? How about the vegetable medley? But when your an Irish pub serving chicken fingers, I guess this is to be expected! My wife ordered a salad that had soooo many red onions it was ridiculous. Needless to say she pulled most of them off. And of course they were covered by another layer so they weren't visible at first. A friend who was also dining with us ordered the salmon burger with vegetables. She got a vegetable, it's called French fries. I'm sure we will never come back. If I still got trashed at the bars then it's a fun place on the bar side, but the food quality really lacked. I went there for lunch with six other people. The service was very slow, even though they weren't crowded. Four people got their food first. The rest of us had to wait another 10 to 15 minutes. When our food arrived, the other people were already finished. I ordered the New Yorker. I was expecting a lot more corned beef, then I received. The fries were cold and hard. I don't know if they were over cooked or had just been sitting around too long. One couple had to have their check corrected. The outside seating was nice, but my wife and I won't be back. read more
